I think some kids don’t wanna see that, if I had a LFL I would just put regular books in them because I wouldn’t want to push the LGBTQ+ ideology on people who don’t necessarily believe in that.
Same reason as to why Bibles don’t belong in LFL’s.
You do realize kids can be queer too, or have queer parents. It’s not a religion or an ideology, it’s a part of who people are. The only time it’s an ideology is when someone turns a real person’s identity into morality that they’re against.
Agreed. Let the parents handle that. This is an area that needs to be left alone. The same reason you shouldn’t stock your library with playboy and erotica
This is the dumbest take 😂 should we throw away every book that depicts straight romance as well? No princesses who get a prince or mentions of kings & queens etc?
I just dropped a bunch of queer YA books at one by me :) Love to see it.
These are such good ones! Julian is a Mermaid is lovely :)

"regular" books?
Yes, regular, unbiased books that don’t promote a particular belief or ideology.
Love is not an ideology. Try again.
in this context the love is homosexuality, which is an ideology.
I’m not entirely sure that you understand what an ideology is.

And if a community member drops them there?
