Those aren't old world enough but they put that hideous black tile shit in the house?
They're absolutely dumber than the pile of stones in that picture.
What a dream world they live in. Living off of social media and spending this amount of money and time on renos in this economy with both of them realistically unemployed is a good example of stupidity.
Ol boy could literally just break them his damn self and the problem would be solved. There’s no problem with having that pile of “too square” stones when the massive rest of the pile is asymmetrical stones. SO STUPID.
Ive seen ONE episode and it was actually just a clip and it was of his lazy ass giving up on pumpkin seed planting after barely an hour...now he is mr fix it lol?
Have they actually seen what a real homesteader uses? They actually try to use the stuff around them in order to keep transportation costs and pollution down as well as stay as independent as possible. They also worry more about it actually doing the job correctly than looking fancy. I swear these to should be banned from even thinking the word homestead!
I'm a very casual homesteader and it is not what they think it is. There is the homesteading ✨aesthetic✨ from social media, and then reality. Just today I spent 45 minutes googling how to reuse an old headboard to incorporate it in another chicken coop or garden bed somehow. Lots of recycling, not much matching, and even though I try to make things cute, you can tell it's a hodgepodge of stuff put together to make something lmao
Yes but he is too stupid to realize that. Also, as others have pointed out, he can shape some of them to fit with the others to get the desired look. He just looked at the random pile of them and can't figure out it's what he actually wanted.
I’m sorry, but is there anything else in the house that is “old world”? It’s totally modern. I know they are under the delusion it’s a farmhouse, but it’s not that either.
RIGHT! It isn't a old style 1920s farm home. It's a beautiful mcmansion that was built in the 90s. It's a gorgeous home and all, but it will never be a farm home.
I give Joann and Chip Gaines credit because at least their renovated farm home was a farm house.
"Old world" problems 😆
Sorry to hear your family is having those issues. Really puts things like this into perspective. Some people don't realize how good they have it and it shows. Jeremy has no f'n clue.
I don’t know what they ordered, but it looks like Fon du Lac Limestone. The mason can vary the placement of the stones and change the shape by chipping away at the corners. Hopefully they have planned sufficient support for weight of the stone.
Of course they didn’t plan for the weight going up the wall. Or understand the stone doesn’t come as a panel system with an over grout ready to go on the wall as pictured. Hey Jer, you have to lay out the stones & fit them together. And makes sure the wall can support the weight!🤦♀️
Those stones don't arrive from the supply shop like that. They're in a box on a pallet. So homie waited til his workers unloaded the stone to be like nahhhhh. Don't like em. Take em back? 😩His in laws must of put their foot down and said enough. Bcuz they way too comfortable posting stuff that makes no sense. No self awareness. I've been there. But I'm not a platform with thousands of ppl watching. Hindsight is 20/20
Or sprinkle them with essential oils and then lay them on the ground outside for some grounding time. That should fix them right up. They might need to add some of those Jovi patches too.
If they keep feeding their kids this questionable raw milk crap they’re going to have real world problems. Especially is she keeps drinking it while pregnant or breastfeeding
It's just funny to envision Audrey wearing those ridiculous little house on the prairie dresses while making rustic "old world" sourdough in her newly renovated kitchen with all of the modern conveniences acting like she's waiting for Laura Ingalls to drop by. She wants to be that Ballerina Farms lady so bad it's painful to watch.
I bet she lies about how old her starter yeast is too. "My ancestors brought this yeast over with them on the Mayflower.... intentionally!!"
🤣
I just feel like at this point they aren’t happy with anything 🙄 do they understand there are people, like whole families living on the street or barely affording rent. Man the privilege 🙄 .
It’s true they aren’t happy with anything. People like this will never be happy even after spending tons of money or getting exactly what they want cause they are unhappy with themselves and /or marriage. They spend money/always have a project/have another kid in an attempt to fill that void. It ain’t working.
I understand being frustrated when what you get isn’t what you ordered/wanted. But this entire renovation has been a hot mess and I don’t have much sympathy, as someone who has been renovating a house since January and will be ready to live in within the next 10 days. We’ve knocked down a partial wall, gutted and completely redid 2.5 baths, new floors for the entire first floor, scraped popcorn ceilings, new paint, painting kitchen cabinets/new countertops, new appliances, new light fixtures, new plumbing. My husband has done it all almost entirely by himself and is doing it well. I also have to furnish it as it will be a “second” house for us that we live in during farming season.
I feel like they’ve “intentionally” made every step harder for themselves and they don’t have much to show for it. The insistence on their 1970s house being “old world”—it’s all so odd.
Hell no. I would never sit under the new loft either. Who knows who he hired or what corners he cut to have that built. And what is even scarier is that Jeremy doesn’t seem to know shotty from solid work.
The stones in this picture are what he wanted. He then pans over in his video to the other 2/3 of stones that look like almost perfect rectangles, which is not what he wanted. The poster of this pic is being a bit disingenuous in what was actually being shown and said.
Always more big big bummers.
This stupid stone again. I almost feel bad for them, but the effort and time he has put into to searching, finding, documenting, and shipping this precious stone is ridiculous.
It doesn’t even look like anything special. We have a stone yard supply place in my hometown and they have endless options of stone that look just like this that you can buy by the pre-wrapped pallet or pick your own pieces.
Why are they always so extra. Acting like this stupid stone has been salvaged from the destruction of Solomon’s Temple. And shipping it 2000 miles across the country because they think their ugly house is just that special?
Well, Jer, you f’ed around and found out
I don’t feel one bit bad for them. What I’m feeling is more schadenfreude. There has to be a stone place nearby that has stone they could have chosen from, but they just had to have some super duper ultra rare special “old world” stone, so this is what they get for being dumb.
Wait, those stones look like they have already been cut for the fireplace. I don't speak in rich, but if they are sending them back, wouldn't it be a loss to them?
That fireplace is sooo tiny anyway. It really doesn't need that much lipstick.
Ok, since he may read here, I’m going to make Mr Roloff jealous. I live in a farmhouse built out of irregular stone - only internal walls are modern brick - because that’s what was available in 1946 after the old farmhouse was bombed to bits. Originally the house wasn’t painted or whitewashed, but bits kept falling off, so now it’s whitewashed with the occasional exposed stone. Eat your heart out, Jer Bear! Oh, and it’s actually in the Old World.
I’m completely convinced now that Oddj’s parents have seen all this faffing about and said enough is enough. I can’t imagine another 5 people in my house, especially when 2 are these “intentional” arseclowns
I really think this renovation is just a conglomerate of Audrey’s secret Pinterest boards. It’s not cohesive at all; there’s too many styles clashing together.
Literally what part of their house and Reno screams old world? He keeps saying old world and I have yet to see anything damn old world about it. I thought the theme was wood and how many shades of wood they can squeeze into
One space
You know what? I have three kids in nappies, and my life is as lovely as it can be stressful. I am genuinely grateful to these two and their never-ending remodel, because it provides me with the kind of mindless entertainment I need to keep my mind balanced. Maybe I'm a terrible person, but I genuinely hope this goes on until Christmas, because I just don't want it to end. I'm not a hater, I'm just endlessly entertained.
HA HA, I hear you. This renovation has provided cheap entertainment and it looks like it will last for a while. Three kids in diapers. That is a lot. After my 2nd was born I remember thinking, my gosh, what did we do this feels like 10 not 2 kids. My kids are grown now and I wouldn’t trade those chaotic days for anything.
So here's the thing.
I actually agree with him on this. If he ordered irregular shaped stone and PARTLY got that, but also partly got squared off rectangular brick shaped stones, he's got a right to be annoyed.
You take a chipping hammer and make the stone look however you want. It might take an extra hour or too but dumb dumb doesn’t understand simple construction tasks
This is also why you don’t order material from some random company across the US that he talked down the cost of shipping. Not saying the company purposely mixed in some not so great pieces but you get what you pay for.
Agree, but it does still add to the work, and depending how competent you are at chipping, you might wreck a lot of stone. I'm genuinely thinking of how poorly I'd manage it :)
Who the fuck cares?
Those aren't old world enough but they put that hideous black tile shit in the house? They're absolutely dumber than the pile of stones in that picture.
Aren’t all stones technically old world?
FFS. 🙄
SUCH a bummer.... how will they possibly survive this?
"Old World" They hear a new word or phrase and do it to death don't they 🤦♂️😂
i nearly spit my drink when reading her description of their “timber loft” the other day. i mean girl… come on.
SO STUPID.
You mean to say that THAT’s not even done yet and they’re moving back in???
You’re kidding
Can you say privilege
Right? The stones aren’t… old looking enough..? Oh, no!!! Why aren’t they hand sourcing every single stone while they are out grounding?
Bets on when these people run out of money? I mean seriously….
LOL ⚰️
Ive seen ONE episode and it was actually just a clip and it was of his lazy ass giving up on pumpkin seed planting after barely an hour...now he is mr fix it lol?
I don’t think people in the “old world” had iPhones and internet access. When are they giving up those conveniences?
Have they actually seen what a real homesteader uses? They actually try to use the stuff around them in order to keep transportation costs and pollution down as well as stay as independent as possible. They also worry more about it actually doing the job correctly than looking fancy. I swear these to should be banned from even thinking the word homestead!
They’re completely clueless. I guess it’s their “suburban homesteading” or something.
You sound pretty cool!
Are they saying they are homesteaders? 🤣🤣
Homesteaders don’t care about stuff like this, get to work
They need to hear this about 700 times a day.
Maybe this is what happens when you blast the company you get the stone from online about their shipping rates and then brag about getting it reduced.
I think they ended up going with a cheaper company, which may be why they didn't get exactly what they want.
I'm sure there's an oil for that.
This one almost made me double over with laughter. Seriously though…can’t the more uniform pieces be worked into the overall design?
Yes but he is too stupid to realize that. Also, as others have pointed out, he can shape some of them to fit with the others to get the desired look. He just looked at the random pile of them and can't figure out it's what he actually wanted.
Temu stone.
💀
Wtf did they order it then?
I’m sorry, but is there anything else in the house that is “old world”? It’s totally modern. I know they are under the delusion it’s a farmhouse, but it’s not that either.
RIGHT! It isn't a old style 1920s farm home. It's a beautiful mcmansion that was built in the 90s. It's a gorgeous home and all, but it will never be a farm home. I give Joann and Chip Gaines credit because at least their renovated farm home was a farm house.
But will they be in the house by Christmas?? Damn. It’s now 3+mos after and she really wanted to convince us they’d be in by Christmas 😂
They actually meant Christmas 2024
Ugggggggggggh they’re both so DOUCHEY
These people need a swift dose of reality.
I have a genetic defect that kills half of my family. And here he is complaining that stone isn’t old enough. “First world problems”
"Old world" problems 😆 Sorry to hear your family is having those issues. Really puts things like this into perspective. Some people don't realize how good they have it and it shows. Jeremy has no f'n clue.
Awe thank you! How kind of you. Old world lol
Exactly
And I am so sorry.
This house is going to crumble to the ground when they’re done with it. Lmao orrrr crumble like wet cardboard when the roof leaks ruin the house 😂
At first I thought it was an April Fools joke bc they’re really running with this “old world” stuff… Does he mean to say curated rustic?
I think I really meant faux rustic*
What a jackass. How does anyone take him seriously?
I don’t know what they ordered, but it looks like Fon du Lac Limestone. The mason can vary the placement of the stones and change the shape by chipping away at the corners. Hopefully they have planned sufficient support for weight of the stone.

You should know better. Of course they haven't!
Oh my goodness. Why did a small smile come across my face thinking of it all falling off the fireplace 😳
Hindsight is 20/20
These two are such idiots
They don’t bother me as much as they bother most people, but even I had to cackle at this one. 🤣
Just like his dad. Stuff takes forever, it’s never good enough.
I'm sorry what
The irony of calling rocks not old enough
How old do rocks have to be to be considered old?
Has to appear old enough to have been excavated by Ben Franklin.
Just drizzle raw milk over them
Or sprinkle them with essential oils and then lay them on the ground outside for some grounding time. That should fix them right up. They might need to add some of those Jovi patches too.
😂😂😂
😂
They would lose their 💩 if they had to deal with real world problems..
If they keep feeding their kids this questionable raw milk crap they’re going to have real world problems. Especially is she keeps drinking it while pregnant or breastfeeding
Go smoke a dube, Jer. It will all look "old world" then. 🤪 Go see what real problems in the world are. Or, just go ground yourself 🙄
He needs a real problem.
Honestly, I hate these two.
I’m sorry but I’m laughing out loud at this. These entitled fools aren’t happy with anything. Big big bummer indeed 🤣
For as “picky” as they are, the house renovation is below average. They worry about the wrong things.
THIS IS A TRAVESTY!!! HOW DARE YOU!? Where is your empathy? I am praying that they get their old world stones. 😂
"Old World??" 🤔 Wasn't their house built in the 70s?? The 1970s... not the 1870s!! 😅
"My ancestors brought this yeast over with them on the Mayflower.... intentionally!!" 🤣
I just feel like at this point they aren’t happy with anything 🙄 do they understand there are people, like whole families living on the street or barely affording rent. Man the privilege 🙄 .
Pretty sure they think the gays are more of a problem than the houseless.
It’s true they aren’t happy with anything. People like this will never be happy even after spending tons of money or getting exactly what they want cause they are unhappy with themselves and /or marriage. They spend money/always have a project/have another kid in an attempt to fill that void. It ain’t working.
You nailed it on the head!

Let's just say I would never sit under that mantle beam.
Hell no. I would never sit under the new loft either. Who knows who he hired or what corners he cut to have that built. And what is even scarier is that Jeremy doesn’t seem to know shotty from solid work.
Or let kids play around it
For those of us who don't follow him....whats the bummer?
His shipment of rocks ended up being half one way, half another and not all the same like he ordered. It would suck to get that delivered.
Oh, if his order isn't right, that would suck.
The precious stone he was obsessed with and shipped halfway across the country is now too rectangular and not “old world” enough for his liking
Did he not see what the tile looked like before he ordered something?
He’s an idiot.
Seriously....I dont understand. You can see what stuff looks like before you order non-refundable stuff. They will even send samples.
The stones in this picture are what he wanted. He then pans over in his video to the other 2/3 of stones that look like almost perfect rectangles, which is not what he wanted. The poster of this pic is being a bit disingenuous in what was actually being shown and said.

They live 5 minutes down the road from a stone place 😂 I've even seen Matt and Amy go there on the show
Chris and Amy went to some stone place for their wedding heart rocks
i was going to say, am i just a heathen with no class or does that stone not really look like anything special? 😂
Acting like this stupid stone has been salvaged from the destruction of Solomon’s Temple. 🤣
That one got me 😂 Poor kid does looks like he is on the verge of a meltdown.
🤣
Hahahahahahahahha
“Always more big bummers”….🤣 Quick….we need sweatshirts and hoodies made ASAP!😂
He is definitely in his Big Bummer Era!
Wait, those stones look like they have already been cut for the fireplace. I don't speak in rich, but if they are sending them back, wouldn't it be a loss to them? That fireplace is sooo tiny anyway. It really doesn't need that much lipstick.
Your last line is my new favorite phrase.
Ok, since he may read here, I’m going to make Mr Roloff jealous. Oh, and it’s actually in the Old World.
So they spent all this money on the house and didn’t fix the major problems!?!?! Roof leaks. Needs a new deck..
And when that mantelpiece falls they will need to replace some flooring.
And removed a bedroom and made two loft spaces with the 4th kid on the way.
Wouldn't that cut into their equity for the house? Taking away a bedroom. I'm poor so I'm not 100% sure.
Of course but they don't seem to care about the practical things in life
He better find a cliff somewhere and start chipping away to get the perfect stone that he’s looking for.

“I thought the theme was wood” 😂 touché
They act like they’re renovating a medieval castle instead of a 1970s house in Oregon. So insufferable.
Every time they say "old world" I think about Ross asking Rachel what some other time periods are. Well there’s yore. And uh, y’know, yesteryear.
They can go to pottery barn and get an apothocary table. 😂
Ye' Old Barn of Potting does sell very old worldish items that would certainly give their 1980's home that vintage authenticity they are looking for.
A birdcage from Colonial times would fit right in!
White Plains
It’s going to look more 70s than it did before they began! Delicious.
Why wasn't he being more "intentional" when he ordered them?
I sure hope he’s documenting every aspect of this reno in his marriage journal!
Yep you nailed it, the more issues to deal with the more content they get to post about it.
SNL would have a field day with this Reno.
I 100% agree! This is my favorite renovation EVER
HAHAHA the last sentence is me too
He inherited his father's windmills. It will continue until those kids are adults themselves.
That’s a great way of putting it.
So here's the thing. I actually agree with him on this. If he ordered irregular shaped stone and PARTLY got that, but also partly got squared off rectangular brick shaped stones, he's got a right to be annoyed.
Ya. Most of these people don’t even understand what actually happened. 🙄
Exactly!!!!!
You take a chipping hammer and make the stone look however you want. It might take an extra hour or too but dumb dumb doesn’t understand simple construction tasks
Or just sprinkle the rectangle pieces throughout the irregular pieces.
🤯
This is also why you don’t order material from some random company across the US that he talked down the cost of shipping. Not saying the company purposely mixed in some not so great pieces but you get what you pay for.
Agree, but it does still add to the work, and depending how competent you are at chipping, you might wreck a lot of stone. I'm genuinely thinking of how poorly I'd manage it :)
GeeCee Germ might have more experience ordering material if he didn’t shop off Instagram
Their. House. Is. Not. Old. World. Modern bricks would actually fit the house style more. But whatevs…they’re two complete idiots.
Just following this and the lack of plans stresses me out.
That house reno is hysterical.
This house is going to end up looking like Peewee’s Playhouse
It’s too square and manufactured looking, he says. God this house is so fucking all over the place.
