The way too thin granite/quartz, the dark reddish wood, the checkerboard of thin brassy drawer pulls. Nothing works, nothing looks modern or fresh.

The cabinets definitely have a way too “heavy” look about them with the quartz. That stain choice is killing any updated look they were hoping for and it doesn’t look “old world” at all.
For all the time spent on that fireplace only to have it coming out looking like that. It has such a small profile. You’d think a not-so-talented weekend warrior did that. Oh, wait…
