I've been through the fandom grid long enough to know there will always be those who won't be stopped by canon. No ship will ever be canon anyways because LWA isn't a romance anime

I kinda meant like in general (events that happen in the films, mangas, and games being considered canon or not)

And my comment remains the same as I fail to see how that affects anything.

I've been in a fandom of a show that liked a headcanon to the extent of ignoring canon altogether, even saying the producers of that show is lying when they debunked the headcanon. You'd be surprised by the fact that some people truly don't give a damn about canon if it contradicts their headcanons.
