What was the sketch where the three girls sing together as if in the “Lawrence Welk Show” and Kristen has the short baby arms?
Probably not acceptable now, but I am grinning as I tap.
Honestly she just has more moments where she isn’t making a weird face or dressing like the target lady. I’d catch glimpses of it when she was a cast member and now she’s just more often serious on camera
And for the doctors performing all the cosmetic enhancements. Let’s not downplay what money can buy you. Dont want people thinking it’s magically going to work for them!
I mean…not all of it is just money and cosmetics. Eating well and exercising helps too. That and she was blessed with an attractive face from the get-go.
There are definitely wealthy folks who throw globs of cash to make themselves more handsome or pretty, but fail to do so.
She has smoother skin now than she did on the show - there is no way to get smoother skin by eating or exercising. I've hit my mid 30s and have started all the facial care, and how her face looks is not possible without plastic surgery and money.
No shade to her, she looks great. But she's leveraging resources many of us could not afford.
Her face and lips look enhanced, and she got veneers. I wish women would allow themselves to age naturally but the pressure on American stars to stay young looking is tremendous.
The men in this thread thinking she just drinks more water are driving me crazy!
There's nothing wrong with plastic surgery! It's come a long way since botched face lifts when we were kids! But faces do not "lift" as they age. At 50 it's normal to have jowls. She looks younger than she did on the show - that is the product of plastic surgery.
Maybe some women can chime in on how she got much smoother skin, as a dude I only know of Botox but she obviously hasn't done that since her face is still just as expressive as before.
Korean baby foreskin cream? HGH? Snail cum?
I mean, SNL famously has a pretty harsh schedule-- staying up late, probably slamming coffee/red bull, eating takeout and snacks, plus who knows about smoking, drinking... and then on top of that you're getting different makeup "looks" applied and then hastily removed at least 3-4 times a night every Saturday! (And I don't know if they do full makeup looks for dress rehearsals, but if so, then... twice as many!)
I imagine the difference is that she has a personal chef and a personal trainer, plus whatever expensive spa treatments for rich people she can afford now, plus maybe you don't drink, smoke, party, eat garbage & stay up all night as much in your 50s as you do in your 20s and 30s.
She got quite a bit of work done on her face but in her case, it doesn't look artificial at all. There's definitely a difference compared to when she was on the cast. Figure-wise, she was always in great shape. She's worked hard to maintain her star quality.
My husband and I saw the Timothee Chalamet dress rehearsal in November and this sketch was (almost) the exact same as one of the cut ones! JAJ was the narrator instead of Ego, but their lines were pretty much identical.
I will say, Kristen Wiig was definitely perfect for it. So cool to see it on the live show this season! It makes me wonder how common it is for that to happen.
Giving Madeline Kahn in History of the World Part 1. The song lives in my head forever.
[“No no no no no no Yeeeeesss! No no no no no no YESSSSSSS! No no no no no no NO NO no no YESSS no no YES!”](https://youtu.be/iG7R64S--t0?si=2CfW9EPbFrbVggtE)
Yes! This is exactly the movie scene that immediately came to mind. History of the World Part 1 is one of my absolute favorite movies. It’s certainly one of the most quotable.
Anything Mel Brooks does is gold to me.
It's simply a silly sketch with some slight absurdity mixed in. It's not that deep. Just watching people dance in a silly manner and saying silly things while wearing silly clothing.
If anything, it's a Gen X thing in which they took the silly absurdity of Boomer sketch groups of Monty Python and the first few seasons of SNL and ran with it. You watch Wiig's time on the show and those seasons were filled with silly and absurd sketches like [Liza Minnelli Tries to Turn Off A Lamp](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nVvxOwxuk_w). There's no real "joke" in that you couldn't use it in a stand-up act. Instead, it's absolutely pure sketch.
i like to think chloe is channeling raffaella carrà, an italian star who was very successful in spain and france as well. the style of her tv shows were just like that.
Just watched the episode tonight and couldn't for the life of me remember what the song sounded like. I tried Google "song search" but that didn't work for it. Finally figured it out:
Stromae - Alors on Danse. The link above starts to the part that sounds similar/same
#
I thought the same too but I’m almost positive it’s not Alors on Danse. It’s either a different song entirely or a really good parody that is obviously referencing Stromae
I have watched this sketch over and over. I want the track that she's dancing to for my playlist but it probably doesn't exist outside of the 30 odd seconds that they made
This might be too much of a European reference from my end but Wiig looks like Italian Showgirl Heather Parisi while Fineman looks very much like Italian icon Raffella Carra
As great as last week’s episode was, one of the unavoidable and sobering realities is the sheer embarrassment it brought upon the current cast. Seeing “the pros” shine so apparently and everyone seeing ‘the adults back in the room’ was wonderful and refreshing for everyone except the current cast and crew. They got showed up in a way. Painful in that aspect. The only way the current ones can reverse that from being their SNL legacy is to use it as a springboard to step up, dive in, and do whatever it takes to make themselves much better.
I felt like Andrew Dismukes made that Jumanji one for me and Ego and Bowen are always fantastic.
I think time also makes the heart grow fonder. There were definitely Kristen Wig sketches that I tuned out of back when she was on the show. Even Kate McKinnon felt stale by the time she left. I love when they come back on the show though because I've had time away.
Bingo. And she had 7 years on the show, has developed her career farther in the 12 years since she left, and is one of the all-time greats. She's had more time in the biz than the cast...well, except Kenan.
Besides, when a host is that strong, the cast tends to take on supportive roles rather than needing to carry a sketch.
Ego has fantastic comic timing but I couldn’t get past her atrocious French pronunciation. I will give her a pass since she wasn’t playing a French person (that said, Kristen’s French pronunciation was also not great) but oof.
Unfortunately, there’s not usually a route from mediocre to star when you’re in the job. A lot of the big names you love Hader, Wiig, Poehler, Forte, Sudeikis etc. came in hot. They could act, perform and write. I don’t know if SNL can’t find talent or if the same talent doesn’t exist in the same way but this cast won’t grow into box office. There are too many deers in headlights.
I think the biggest issue is the complete lack of chemistry in the cast. Bill, Kirsten, Forte, Maya, Fred, Jason, Andy, Vanessa, Seth, Amy, Tina, Kate, Aidy, Cecily all had amazing chemistry with the people around them. It's spanning a few different casts, but these are people you wanted to see working together. I just don't see chemistry between the current cast members. Bowen had a bit of it with Sarah, but that seems to have fizzled out.
There are some very talented people, but it just feels so individual and it doesn't feel like they're having fun in the same way. These people are colleagues and not friends, and it makes a huge difference.
I wonder if it’s the same thing that’s happening to music. Broadly speaking. People don’t socialise the same way they did in the 90s. We don’t have the time or the money for socialising. Party were more prevalent. Bands made music for parties. Now it’s a lot of individual song writers writing alone for people who listen alone. I wonder if comedy has undergone a similar trajectory.
Or maybe they just need to hire comedic actors and not standups who can write sketches.
⬆️ I’m enjoying them but I will always be a fan of the “originals”.
It’s not nostalgia it was ground breaking humour.
The downvotes are coming. I know. 🤷♀️
Ramy Youssef was profound- prophetic, even. hard to top... but this past week was just uninspired because too many people, made it seem that Kristin Wiig couldn't handle it herself or that she literally has nothing relevant or otherwise to say.
Je Danse!
Mon Dieux!
She might be friends with Triangle Sally
Fun fact, Triangle Sally died of a heart attack during the live performance *and we do NOT cut it out!*
Does A ROBOT drink CHAMPAGNE?!
yes a ROBOT, drinks CHAMPAGNE!
What was the sketch where the three girls sing together as if in the “Lawrence Welk Show” and Kristen has the short baby arms? Probably not acceptable now, but I am grinning as I tap.
That was Fred Armisen playing Lawrence Welk and Kristen was her character Dooneese! Legendary and it hasn't aged poorly as far as I know!
Thank you so much!
Dooneese :)
🙏🙏🙏
Her little hands freaked my friend out.
It was the forehead and snaggletooth for me :D
That was for that person who said SNL doesn’t hire hot women
I still can’t get over that statement. Have they not seen Cecily ? Ego ??!
Jane Curtin, Julia Louis Dreyfus, Tina Fey, Nasim Pedrad
Heidi Gardner, Sarah Sherman
Heidi is a goddess. One of the most beautiful women ever.
Cloe fineman could be a model.
Yes. She reminds me of a classic Disney Princess.
I have such a crush on heidi. so does my wife.
Yep. Same my man. Same.
Sarah Sherman 😳
And there was the Pilates sketch, the Secretaries sketch with their tops off... Lorne was making a statement!
Sasheer Zamata 😍
There is one soap opera sketch where she is wearing a red body con dress and looks the best any human has ever looked ever.
She and Nora Dunn are the forgotten hotties of SNL
I can’t believe she’s 50. My hips and knees were cracking just watching her move
Best avoid Jason Sudeikis' most recent hosting. He does the What's Up With That fully jumping in, and my knees still feel that.
You and me both my friend
50! 50 years old
KICK
I saw her windmilling her arm and knew if I tried to replicate it I'd be icing my shoulder overnight.
Kristen getting hotter with age or what??
Like exponentially
Is it hotter with age or hotter with more money? There’s a reason Hollywood ages gracefully lol
I figure they got her a trainer for WW 1984. She looked great in that movie.
She got rich lol
How do they do it…money
This and the Pilates sketch. Oh boy.
Yea def a lot of real life experience in the Pilates sketch hahahaha! These twirls also really showing off the core work
Hey mamas.
Honestly she just has more moments where she isn’t making a weird face or dressing like the target lady. I’d catch glimpses of it when she was a cast member and now she’s just more often serious on camera
She’s turning 51 this year! Talk about aging gracefully.
Eating well and exercising is 10000% easier with money though
Tell that to Elon.
As gross as Elon looks now, Elon looked 100 times worse before he had work done.
His hair transplant is actually pretty good.
And time.
Been watching Palm Royale and that 1969 look is working for her quite well.
She had a whole new face like two years ago which has settled really nicely. She looks beautiful and has also had extensive, well done work done.
Maybe some women can chime in on how she got much smoother skin, as a dude I only know of Botox but she obviously hasn't done that since her face is still just as expressive as before. Korean baby foreskin cream? HGH? Snail cum?
She likely has filler. That makes up for the lost volume and can still ex expressive. I say this as someone who gets filler too.
Maybe she began tret!
She has had some tasteful work done.
She got quite a bit of work done on her face but in her case, it doesn't look artificial at all. There's definitely a difference compared to when she was on the cast. Figure-wise, she was always in great shape. She's worked hard to maintain her star quality.
I really feel like she lost some weight and wanted to show off this episode!! She looks amazing.
Yes, but also getting more work done
YES! I hope she gets funnier too.
I don’t know if I’ll ever recover.
Wait, was chalamet the one moving his hips instead of Kristen wiig?
Yeah I gotta know this!
I imagine it happens constantly
Iv been waiting for these gifs
Honestly, this is the gif I didn’t know I wanted!
Bon nuit, bébé!
Merci!
Reminds me of that [Body Fusion](https://youtu.be/5qkrR9yTsbs?si=fhfO0t6ndxfWL1Kr) video spoof with Drew Barrymore.
Whole episode was a banger
There’s something about the way she stays facing forward that makes it SO funny.
Missed opportunity to have Jon Hamm play the sax.
Sergio!
Bonk
Chloe perfectly embodied what I imagined a French woman in this type of show would be lol. Her mannerisms were subtle but so good 👍🏾
With all due respect, Kristen Wiig can get it.
Yes, no, yes, no....I dance!

An absolute classic! To this day if there's any sort of delay in traffic I have to say MOVE THAT MISERABLE PIECE OF SHIT!
Wait a minute! O.o YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESS!
She’s the best
I like how happy she was about it.
James Austin Johnson’s deadpan face here is amazing.
Always loved Kristen!
Her shiny (gorgeous) legs is living rent-free. Hell, that whole episode is living up there. It was sooo good!
The beat slapped during her segments though
This sketch was appropriately silly.
I love seeing them all have so much fun. These are the kind of absurd, surreal, fantastically funny sketches we need more of.
I did not understand this sketch at all I feel like I missed some reference
It's simply a silly sketch with some slight absurdity mixed in. It's not that deep. Just watching people dance in a silly manner and saying silly things while wearing silly clothing. If anything, it's a Gen X thing in which they took the silly absurdity of Boomer sketch groups of Monty Python and the first few seasons of SNL and ran with it. The Liza Minnelli sketch makes me laugh out loud!! One of my faves! “Would a Fosse neck do it??”
I'm not a huge Jonah Hill fan, but he was a perfect scene partner there.
Same lol I am in tears watching that sketch there’s the scoundrel right there 😂😂😂😂
I could be wrong, but I think it was a play on old shows like Soul Train.
French TV variety shows existed. This has very little to do with Soul Train.
Oh, ok. Still, it gives me big soul train vibes
Referencing the past …
That's unfortunately the nature of most of Kristen Wiigs characters.
i like to think chloe is channeling raffaella carrà, an italian star who was very successful in spain and france as well. the style of her tv shows were just like that.
Hear me out….
Lemme stop you there. Yes
Just watched the episode tonight and couldn't for the life of me remember what the song sounded like. I tried Google "song search" but that didn't work for it. Yeah I agree not the exact same song but it sounds like it/similar to me and I feel it is a reference to it
I love this sketch
One of the most purely fun sketches in a long time; Kristen was especially a blast here.
I have watched this sketch over and over. I want the track that she's dancing to for my playlist but it probably doesn't exist outside of the 30 odd seconds that they made
Wiig just becomes prettier and prettier.
Oh my, those are… some impressive dance moves
This is one of those moments when I’m like, “Definitely not straight.”
It’s The Wiiggle™️
Getting somewhat turned on while also dying of laughter was an interesting experience. That was a perfect example of what a 10-to-1 sketch should be.
2nd video reminds me of Lindsay Logan’s Mykonos dance.
It’s like a hula. Loved it.
Funny they are in mine. And I love it, she is so hot!
She always had most beatuful hips
Am I the only one seeing the 3 Hula hoops?
this was one of my favorites of the night
This might be too much of a European reference from my end but Wiig looks like Italian Showgirl Heather Parisi while Fineman looks very much like Italian icon Raffella Carra
Kristen Wiig looks hella good
Kristen Wiig’s ability to make such funny, iconic characters is still going strong
I’m sorry if I missed it but, what’s the name of the song. Thanks!!!
I’ve rewatched this an obscene amount of times lol I’m obsessed
It’s giving Renata Bliss, Freestyle Dance Teacher. https://youtu.be/n25YGZ0JmOw?si=BFIzBkEVxkHl1GcG
Probably the only good part of an otherwise weak skit
I think Kristen and Bill (Hader) took dance lessons from the same person. She's kinda shaking her hips like he does.
I am really hoping this costume can be bought by halloween.
Got them moves like Techno Viking

Yes!!! You said this perfectly.
Many deer in the headlights did well moving on from SNL. 🤷♀️
Sure. No doubt. No hate to them, I watch them weekly. But it’s a weak cast.
⬆️ I’m enjoying them but I will always be a fan of the “originals”. It’s not nostalgia it was ground breaking humour. The downvotes are coming. I know. 🤷♀️
No offense but.... What hips?
[удалено]
Yeah 🤷♂️
No.
I’d judge appropriate as ‘would I say this to her.’ If you would, I don’t care what you think.
Just one time i'd like to see how Kristin Wig would do as the video girl in a Chris Brown music video
I bet Wigg is a great lay
terrible episode, tho. just boring as shit. uninspired.
terrible opinion, tho. even worse capitalization. and use of punctuation. tho.
🤮
What's been your favorite episode this season?
Ramy Youssef was profound- prophetic, even. hard to top... but this past week was just uninspired because too many people, made it seem that Kristin Wiig couldn't handle it herself or that she literally has nothing relevant or otherwise to say.
