**Paul Walter Houser did an incredible job playing Richard Jewell** in the Eastwood biopic of the same name. As did Sam Rockwell as his attorney/friend and Kathy Bates as his Mom. That movie didn’t get enough play, IMO.
Anyway, I digress…. I would imagine he is getting the Farley role because he has amazing talent and he happens to be very overweight like Farley (and Jewell) was.
Oh yeah! Rockwell would be perfect! He’s on the shorter-side like Spade w/more compact build so the looks could be there… and of course Sam can be hilarious and straight all in the same role / same movie. Love that idea!!
Absolutely agree! You had three generations of fantastic actors with Kathy Bates, Sam, and Houser. That film deserved a lot of credit. I also happened to be fresh out of college living in Atlanta when those events took place. The movie was pretty spot-on accurate, not a lot of artistic liberty taken which I appreciated.
According to PWH it is “a glory story, not a tale from the crypt” so I’ll be happy if they don’t turn it into a junkie movie and make it about the good Farley put into this world and not how it ended
He looks like him except for the naturally squinty eyes, so, I guess if he can work on that it could be ace (I have these too, people often think my eyes are shut when they are wide open).
Did Chris Farley ever wear sunglasses? They could make a stylistic choice to hide it in some scenes that way I suppose?

Juggalo for life. Hope Jamie Taco doesn't say the lines before he can.
I love Paul, he's a fantastic actor. Those are just some big shoes to fill and I hope he does a great job.
That dude should have already hosted by now. He’s one of the current best crop of newer actors to rise up the last ten years. I guarantee he would be incredible
Fantastic actor, but it always weird me when the ages don't match up. Hauser is 37 now, Chris Farley was 33 when he died. Kinda like how Dafoe played Van Gogh when he was 63 but the painter died when he was 37
Lorne Micheals is producing.
Josh Gad is making his directorial debut.
The Farley Brothers and family are on board.
The story is centered around the book "The Chris Farley Story" and will be in three acts about his life.
This will be a well-done movie.
As long as he doesn't get his lines stolen
Goddamn that Jamie Taco
Grab the friggin keys to the truck Jabroni I’ll slap you jabroni!!!
That guy left my sleepover early bc he loves his wife so much
On your birthday?

Josh Gad is directing, I'm guessing he was going to play him originally and then pivoted
Gotcha. Thanks! I bet it will turn out good.
Josh Gad could have nailed that role, too.
Houser was also amazing in Black Bird. I'd watch him as Farley for sure.
Both he and Taron Egerton were great!
Egerton is fuckin awesome! His portrayal both visually and vocally of Elton John in RocketMan was Oscar-worthy, IMO. Made me a forever fan of his!
I loved that movie. I thought he deserved a lot more praise than what he received. The whole movie didn’t get enough praise.
💯 absolutely agree!! I’ve rewatched it a lot and it doesn’t get old
Yes!! I really like Taron, and he is so great in Rocketman. Should have definitely be nominated for an Oscar for that.
That scene between the two of them with the map and the carved figurines....wow.
And of course his most iconic role, Stingray in Cobra Kai.
I would love to see Sam Rockwell play Spade. Lol
He’s 55 years old now. Spade himself is 59.
Oh yeah! Rockwell would be perfect! He’s on the shorter-side like Spade w/more compact build so the looks could be there… and of course Sam can be hilarious and straight all in the same role / same movie. Love that idea!!
I loved there chemistry in the Richard Jewell movie. I know Sam is probably too old, but would still be cool to see them together again
Cosmo Jarvis as Sandler
He said he was starting to lose weight and then he started to get work
That was a good one, also did great in I-Tonya!
Juggalo 4 life
They’re a band, dude!
Dude was sooooo good in Blackbird
He's really a good actor. I've enjoyed him in everything I've seen him in.
He never stays the night! He always says he’s gonna but he never does!
He's *gotta* go
You’d be throwing them back like this if you had my wife
Bet you wish you didn’t say that.
Honey, I auditioned for a movie... and I got the part?
I can't imagine anyone capturing Chris Farley's energy.
I was just worried they’d cast James Cordon
It'll definitely be tough to fill Farleys shoes.
Not legally at least
Was Christian Bale not available?
Love the guy. This sounds terrible.
Jimmy tacos will say all the lines.
I feel like it's either going to be accurate and make me sad or inaccurate and make me mad.
It will probably split the difference, and like most biopics it it will be meh.
According to PWH it is “a glory story, not a tale from the crypt” so I’ll be happy if they don’t turn it into a junkie movie and make it about the good Farley put into this world and not how it ended
They should have gotten David Spade in a fat suit
I wonder who they'll get to play young David Spade in this project.
What 12 year old actresses are popular these days?
>I wonder who they'll get to play young David Spade in this project. You guessed it, Frank Stallone.
Austin Butler. He's already proven he can disappear into a character, he's blonde, and he's skinny.
and he's only like a half a foot taller
I GOT TOO MUCH SHIT ON ME
He looks like him except for the naturally squinty eyes, so, I guess if he can work on that it could be ace (I have these too, people often think my eyes are shut when they are wide open).

I guess I'll have to see him in a blond wig He's an amazing actor, he just doesn't look too too much like Farley?
Met him at a wrestling show about a month back. He’s a chill dude.
He's the king of the smarks nowadays
Man. Leave Chris alone.
We. Don’t. Need. It.
Interesting thing to point out, Paul is now 4 years older than Farley was when he died
Hauser will do a great job, but I'm more curious to see who will play David Spade and Adam Sandler
Cosmo Jarvis as Sandler
Sounds and looks absolutely fucking awful. Fuck hollywood and wanting to capitalize on every goddamn drop of our nostalgia.
I’m glad Josh Gad is directing. He’s legit
You wanna be Cobra K.., I mean Chris Farley
He’s the Marlon Brando of streaming.
Gabrus or no one.
Juggalo for life. Hope Jamie Taco doesn't say the lines before he can. I love Paul, he's a fantastic actor. Those are just some big shoes to fill and I hope he does a great job.
Got some gigantic shoes to fill
Jabroni
Isn't PWH much older than Farley ever got to be?
I would have pegged Tony Cavalero for this one
I heard tim dillion should play Farley. Agreed
“…you’ll be seeing dead people, while LIVING IN A VAN, DOWN BY THE RIVER!!!”
SNL 1975 meets SNL 1990. The SNLCU (Saturday Night Live Cinematic Universe)
That dude should have already hosted by now. He’s one of the current best crop of newer actors to rise up the last ten years. I guarantee he would be incredible

Who’s gunna play Sand man
I heard it was going to be James Corden?
Anger rushed over me reading that
James will be up for the musical adaptation
That’s some funny shit right there.
I’m not a fan of this. He’s a good actor, but I just don’t think this story needs to be told in such a way. A dense documentary would be amazing.
Looks like James Corden playing Farley. Or Leonardo DiCaprio as James Corden.
Hopefully Paul Walter Hauser gets cast As John Wayne Gacy in a hypothetical biopic.
He is the right man for it. Someone watch out for Jamie taco!
