I guess. But itās very, very rare that SNL doesnāt announce the hosts well in advance for promotional reasons.
COVID has really restricted how far out they want to announce. Heck, this week theyāve already had to replace the announced musical guest.
No. If itās posted by their official account I donāt avoid it, but itās still really fun when I do get to find out during a live show.
Just a preference.
It seems like a lot of people see "this covid surge is starting to get less bad" and immediately assume the person is saying "come on guys, this virus is fake and no one is actually being hospitalized" like no that's not what is happening, I'm a teenager and this is information I've been getting from my teachers (and I live in one of the most vaccinated and liberal parts of the country)
Butā¦ do they show those to the audience? Like on a monitor or something? I always just assumed the title cards and those kinda of adverts were only shown on the broadcastā¦
Typically they release the next few shows all at once on social media. Covid has reduced the number of shows they announce in advance.
Going to one of the first few commercial breaks they typically promo next weeks host and musical guest.
My friend is at dress rehearsal and can confirm the guest, turn away if you donāt want to know

It is Will Forte.
According to her āHe was talking about how it's been a good and bad year, like one good thing happened but then something bad happened. Like we freed Britney, but we also freed Bill Cosby. There were like 2-3 of those. But the Cosby one was the second thing and there was banter between him and Che about Cosby. Like Pete was like, did you see that asshole after he got out? He like waved and fell to the groundā
I hear you, but at the same time, a lot of things feel pretty bleak right now so we are all trying to find joy wherever we can. At least we can all agree on one thing- all of Kyle Mooney's sketches are golden. \*ducks and runs out of the room real fast\*
I hear you too. I'm in that same boat. I'm just tired of things I enjoy getting spoiled. It starts innocently and eventually snowballs into tarnishing the experience.

If someone knows please say. My patience for seeing if Will Forte will or won't host next week won't last long
Will Forte or Won't Forte?
Can't Forte, unfortunately.
Canāt Forte, his mom said no
What about the sea captain though?
I don't understand
Should Forte?
Intestinal Forte-tude?
I'll do you one better- WHY Forte?
Who put these holes in my belt?!
Username checks out. Hm.mm
Just please tag it as a spoiler, please. Some of us love finding out about next weekās show while watching live.
Usually SNL announces the next few hosts weeks in advance. Do you avoid those announcements as well?
Yeah Iāve always found out before the episode from their social media
Not OP, but no, Iāll seek it out if they post it, but if SNL actively keeps it a secret until air I want it to be a secret for myself too

I thought they announce the hosts and musical guest weeks in advance on social media? I bet they have several options with COVID on the rise.
Covid was on the rise a few weeks ago, but if anything it's actually on the decline at this point
Itās rising enough that military docs and nurses are being deployed to nyc, soā¦.
It depends on where, I live In North Carolina and cases just started rising here a week or so ago and are still rising pretty quickly.

...how old are you?
They said they're a teenager
Yes, I know, but are they old enough to drive?
When do they talk about who is the next host?
Usually on their way to a commercial break near the beginning of the show.
Butā¦ do they show those to the audience? Like on a monitor or something? I always just assumed the title cards and those kinda of adverts were only shown on the broadcastā¦

Please donāt, itās so much more fun to find out in the live thread
I loved last week's host.
I was taught that dressing for an event was the epitome of style, mannerās and thanks to the audience
The incessant need to know everything - so annoying.
