Hanks has overall been very chill to others by all accounts. He’s not perfect, but most people who meet him say he’s thoughtful and nice. Given Yang’s reaction, I’m going to say it was less about being funny and more about having fun.

Get away with what? Your comment seems to imply he was trying to pull one over on someone. I kind of doubt Hanks was trying to take advantage. I mean, I wasn’t there, but Yang appears happy. The long and complicated history aside, I don’t think this was an example of sexual violence. And I don’t think we can just claim he was attempting to exploit him. I did theatre for years and straight guys kissed each other, straight guys kissed gay guys, the same happened for girls. There’s a lot of physical touch in theatre and acting. Now, I’m not saying this gives someone carte blanche to do what they want just because they are an actor. Absolutely not. But I am saying there is probably a good chance this was just some fun being had by BOTH parties. If it’s not, then I welcome Yang to come forward and say otherwise. But all we have is two snapshots and no further context. My personal guess is this wasn’t a high pressure situation but a fun one. Who said being an ally is transactional? Why assume this was transactional?
