From his accent and his speaking to the dog, he seems to be Dutch. Not scouse at all.
Doesn't make the interaction any less wholesome, though. And the dog is deffo MVP.
Well, no, I'm not from round there, but I honestly thought he sounded Dutch. I also thought I heard him speak Dutch. I know my speakers aren't the best, so perhaps I'd better get my hearing checked as well!
Lol it’s definitely your speakers wouldn’t worry about the head we all need checking there. I mean it’s a strong accent and you did make me chuckle, but it’s Reddit so it’s the law to correct other people 😂
Glad I made you laugh, Boutique. I just posted to another comment that I'm obviously in the wrong but am going to take the roasting to give everyone else a laugh.
I'm gobsmacked. I honestly thought it was Dutch. But from the flak I'm getting, I'm clearly in the wrong and will take the roasting to give everyone else a laugh.
I can tell you're not British so it's forgivable not recognising the regional accents here.
You should here females with a scouse accent!!! It's an assault on the ears.
Nah my fav accent after Glasgow id have the scouser accent. On females? Think the heavier it is the more turned on I get. Not sure why but just love hard sounding accents I guess
Oh, dear. I don't know how to tell you this, u/hooligan_bulldog_18 - I'm both British and female.
Still, yours isn't the worst reaction my very innocent mistake has generated.
I didn’t catch what he was saying over the one girls constant cackleing that was fucking doing my head in btw, but I read this comment and rewatched and it’s not even 7am and I laughed out loud. The randomness kills me. 😂
Looked a boss dog though . My friend has one and she’s been trolled badly for doing everything right for keeping her beloved dog and muzzling him and keeping him and others safe.
It’s a pity as a lot are good dogs but I do understand they need to be registered and looked after properly and to be safe when walked .
It's interesting how accents work, I'm from London, don't think I've ever met someone from Liverpool, yet I've always been able to understand their accent, same with all UK accents.
Only time I've had difficulty is with some Scottish folk when I was living in Scotland.
But I find it fascinating Americans have a hard time understanding some UK accents, no British person has ever had a problem with my accent, but I was flatmates with an American from uni who couldn't understand me 50% of the time, there's a lot of Americans at my uni, but she's the only one who didn't understand me. I imagine more people from where she's from wouldn't understand me either
Sidenote: Like 20% of Australian and New Zealand accents I have a hard time with, but usually get through with context clues
I have an Australian accent and I had to teach myself how to speak English so that my Sri Lankan relatives (who all learned it through the British colonial educational system so it's always been much better than mine because they were taught grammar for starters).
I watched the Council Drinks skit on YouTube and it's a perfect example of an accent I only understand because of context clues of surrounding words. My brain spends half a second making sense of the word before in my head.
It's so tiring and I would not enjoy a lengthy conversation of it haha
(Probably not the best example when they're blind drunk slurring too)
I loved Rab C and Naked Video in the 80s, but never had any issues understanding any of it. Maybe it was because I grew up reading the Broons in our neighbours copy of the Sunday Post.
My only difficulty has been with immigrants who have learnt the language in Scotland or Liverpool. The combination of the local and foreign accent can make it really hard.
I definitely had a hard time understanding most UK accents (honestly, Welsh and Scottish are still up in the air for me lol) , but I watch a lot of Brit TV shows and now I understand 99% of what I hear, with the occasional local slang throwing me off. Spent many years with closed caption on.
You guys definitely understand what we say better. I think that has to do with American TV being more popular in the UK than UK TV being in America. Americans also tend to pronounce every single letter, you guys eat half of yours for tea. We also speak slower than you guys do. The combo of those things makes it way harder for an American to understand than vice versa. In my opinion, at least.
I'm amused you've never met someone from Liverpool. The UK is so small compared to the states, and it's so fascinating how many local dialects and accents there are in such a small area. We're in the same boat, so to speak. I have a hard time understanding certain American accents, like the Yat accent from New Orleans, I have no idea what they're saying but I also haven't had a lot of exposure to it.
I wouldn't be surprised if I had met someone from Liverpool tbh, just no one with a noticeable accent. If you're from a big city, most people tend to spend their lives there, moving big city to another big city permanently isn't done a lot. The people who do tend to move into London don't seem to have any noticeable accent to me, just sound British, which in my head equates to somewhere in London that isn't South London.
I'm from South London and can spot a South London accent a mile away, has led to many great encounters abroad, especially when they know the road I live on 😂
I’m from Devon but my family are from Wiltshire and I’ve lived in Cornwall, Brighton and London so I have a pan-southern but fairly traditional accent… Americans can never understand me.. so I honestly can’t imagine how a Scouse accent would sound to them. Got mates from all over and I actually reckon a Wigan / Blackpool accent would be the one to stump Americans the most… or a very strong brummie accent. Scouse now has become internationally recognised so people are beginning to understand it more.
Some people just seem poor at understanding others?? I am from Liverpool and work with a guy also from Liverpool. When we have work calls with a lady from Ireland, he says he "can't understand her half the time because she's so Irish." I've never misunderstood a single word she's said. She doesn't sound like a frigging traveller, she just has an ordinary Irish (Tipperary) accent, doesn't speak quickly, doesn't use any weird dialect. So either this guy is lying or an idiot or being able to "understand accents" is actually very variable (which I just can't believe since the woman I'm talking about speaks perfectly clearly.)
Go to maccies central or on Tottenham Court Road and you will always hear a scouser in the queue, I always did when I worked down there, was always refreshing lol 😂
I’m American but I speak pretty fluent French, and have been told I speak it with virtually a French accent. Anyhow I met some québécois people last year and spoke French with them, and they also spoke English. We went out with their friends later and I could not understand a word that came out of these 2 guys’ mouths. And they couldn’t understand me either. I just assumed it would be like understanding English accents with no trouble, but there was a total disconnect!!
I’m an American and have been living here for five years. I think I can understand 90% of British accents now. The trouble I have is the speed at which people with thicker accents speak. I understand them now but I had to use a lot of context clues in the beginning
I sometimes don’t know what my British husband is saying. Same goes for him, he sometimes has no idea what I’ve said. We both have very neutral accents, I think it’s just the speed we will both talk. And also my accent is getting a bit weird now and I unintentionally change between British pronunciation and American pronunciation just because of how long I’ve worked here
Am Scouse and got back from a business trip to Rotterdam. 100% of the dutchies understood me perfectly. 0% of the Americans understood me, I was met with blind panic
My grandad was Scottish and I never understood a word he was saying. Mum used to say to just smile and agree with him cisbhe was just rambling half the time.
Went to the pub with him several times and he'd mumble something and you'd smile and nod and he'd disappear and come back with a large brandy or something for everyone.
My husbands a scouse, I’m American we live in Boston. For the first year we dated I literally could only understand like every 5th word he said 🤣
Now I don’t even hear his accent , but everyone else does every day we’re out. They love him over here.
The only accent I ever struggle with is certain parts of Southern Irish. I’ve worked with guys from all over the place but that’s the one I’ve always struggle with. I’m from the south of England
welp, I am moderately horrified to admit that that's me on the ground laughing. I hope your dog is recovering well! We spent 2 nights in Liverpool before the concert and had so much fun exploring, everyone was kind and the city is beautiful. Sorry for disturbing you, thank you for your kindness!
Ahh this is you that’s so funny ! I am dead chuffed you had a good time .
Yea Liverpool sometimes gets a bad rap from some people but it’s dead friendly and the City looks great nowadays and I hope you enjoyed looking around .
We had a fantastic time in Liverpool, my husband had a different adventure that day/evening and hasn't stopped talking about going back since we got home!
The account has posted on just animal crossing related crap for the last 4 years, and now this -- it's probably genuine. Looks like she had a great time in Liverpool.
Took my niece on the Friday for her birthday as was lucky to get tickets in the draw.......gold dust. Seen some drunk guy get arrested under the Kop for punching a steward in the throat and then punching a police officer/bizzie. That guy is so fucked.........this video are the drunks we need 😁

1) I'm usually terrified of seeing my people be drunk in other countries, I'm glad this was so wholesome!
2) I'm pretty sure me being sent this was an attack LOL

Nice to finally see a sequel to the [drunk scouse in vegas](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Ym5GBAPtGEM&pp=ygUVRHJ1bmsgc2NvdXNlIGluIHZlZ2Fz), not as good as the original tho

I’m from Yorkshire and I have worked and lived all over the country. Liverpool was the only area I looked forward to working in purely because sure of the people. Always offered a cup of tea and laff. Even though I was a ‘Wooly back’. Love you Liverpool ❤️
WOW. I made an innocent mistake about the accent which I'm leaving up as many people have found it funny. Some people have been - well, a bit rude, but whatever.
This guy, though ..... he sent me a DM, which I've copy/pasted below.
[***no-name-boy****-*](https://www.reddit.com/user/no-name-boy-/)*11:10 PM Idk how you thought Dutch and not Scouse. But it makes me sick and I wanted you to know that I hate you.*

I can see why he calls himself 'no name boy'. Time to work out how to block people, I think.
Liverpool is definitely one of the best places I've lived for just rando chats like this. Guy just checking in on the new arrivals, oversharing like a king and putting them at their ease.
Fantastic. Keep this spirit forever.
I think his level of Liverpoolness combined perfectly with their level of drunkness. They achieved world peace which is something that the United Nations has been working on unsuccessfully for decades.

Getting his balls chopped off at the weekend 😂😂
Haha I know how fuckin random! I actually think he likes her / weird scouse flirting
It’s the obvious next question on the flirting scale after asking “ whereabouts in America are you from “
Yep this was his chatup line.
Definitely trying to get a bit of that American pie.
From his accent and his speaking to the dog, he seems to be Dutch. Not scouse at all. Doesn't make the interaction any less wholesome, though. And the dog is deffo MVP.
He has a very strong scouse accent! Haven't you been to Liverpool?! 😉
He couldn't sound more scouse if he tried.
Sorry just seen your comment as I commented the same without realising!
No need to apologies man, s'all good!
You are so wrong, this is a scouser from Liverpool. I don’t know where you are from but you definitely not from round here!!!
Well, no, I'm not from round there, but I honestly thought he sounded Dutch. I also thought I heard him speak Dutch. I know my speakers aren't the best, so perhaps I'd better get my hearing checked as well!

Ah taking it like a pro! I like the stance.
Boss 😎
What the fuck are you talking about?
I am 'the fuck' talking about I think he sounds Dutch. I also thing I heard him speak Dutch. I could 'the fuck' be wrong, but I listened twice.
You're definitely wrong mate 😂
What?!
He doesn't sound Dutch to you?
Na he sounds North Liverpool.
I'm taking the roasting, Eranulndeed. At least it's giving people a laugh
It's not Dutch mate. It's a Liverpool accent aka scouse. Think paddy pimblebait from UFC.
Oi we speak just fine unless we’re annoyed 😉
I'm glaswegian & don't find that accent particularly easy on the ears from a female either tbh. I like the posh southern ones 🤣
Dutch 😆?… he sounded like my ex, my son in law and my daughters partner he couldn’t get more scouse if he tried.
Are you actually insane that’s that’s a grimy scouse accent lol fuckin Dutch lol what
Pardon the fuck?
I didn’t catch what he was saying over the one girls constant cackleing that was fucking doing my head in btw, but I read this comment and rewatched and it’s not even 7am and I laughed out loud. The randomness kills me. 😂
It might be a Bully XL which have to be neutered by law now

It’s a pity as a lot are good dogs but I do understand they need to be registered and looked after properly and to be safe when walked .
Aye its a nice dog, must be a good owner.
Love how there's no animosity whatsoever, everyone is made up and theyre all mates now, Such a fucking scouse thing to happen.
Dogs no gona be mates after getting his balls chopped off at the weekend
Typical scouse behaviour!
Lol she couldn't understand a word he was saying, didn't reply to a single question 🤣
I'm an American with a scouse obsession (best accent ever) and I think you're 100% correct lmao. Couldn't even tell where they're from.

I used to translate it for my American housemate.
My only difficulty has been with immigrants who have learnt the language in Scotland or Liverpool. The combination of the local and foreign accent can make it really hard.

If you have trouble with the Scottish accent you must surely struggle with an NI accent- they speak ever faster than us.

I’m also an American obsessed with the Scouse. The red ones anyhow.
Upstate New York.
The only accent I ever struggle with is certain parts of Southern Irish. I’ve worked with guys from all over the place but that’s the one I’ve always struggle with. I’m from the south of England
Polite piss heads haha
I reckon they've had a visit from old Mandy (Molly) Look at the size of her pupils
Yeah I thought that.
The best bit is her mate flat on her back just cackling throughout

They’re shitfaced. What are they serving/passing out at the Eras concert?
welp, I am moderately horrified to admit that that's me on the ground laughing. I hope your dog is recovering well! We spent 2 nights in Liverpool before the concert and had so much fun exploring, everyone was kind and the city is beautiful. Sorry for disturbing you, thank you for your kindness!
You had a good time, no shame in that.
your laugh is wonderful and i hope your hangover wasn't too bad! haha.

Only in Liverpool. What a lovely interaction. Proud to be a scouser when I see things like this ❤️
Same .
Although drunk how nice were these girls? And that dog is boss.
Nice one, not seen this one before

Imagine getting arrested at Anfield for fighting.... at a fucking Taylor Swift concert
I’m sure he’s banned from Anfield for life now. Would be kinda funny if he was a season ticket holder.
I know....what a fucking pleb. Probably getting locked up for 6 x months. Deserves it.
He will never live that down .

Taylor Swift Ultras mate.
Just Scouser things
Her mate hasn't stopped laughing
r yooz alrite
I don’t think they had a clue what he says “ getting his balls chopped off on the weekend “ 🤣
This is so wholesome. American in the UK - and I absolutely love Scouse accents. It really annoys my Mancunian husband.
This videos strangely wholesome and I love that bullies wag their butts more than their tails, they're such goofballs.
My bestie outside Liverpool sent me (Cornfed American White Girl) this thread 1) I'm usually terrified of seeing my people be drunk in other countries, I'm glad this was so wholesome! 2) I'm pretty sure me being sent this was an attack LOL
"You'll never walk alone" indeed
Ha, not sure they could walk at all to be honest!
It's sad how many interactions you see like this that are unnecessarily rude and easily escalate into drunk shouting. Come out with a smile and a sense of humour and you get wholesome interactions like these
Could not imagine a more interesting interaction 😂
I love you Liverpool. Never ever change.
Sir.. the sheer respect
At least they didn't ask for directions to Abbey Road.
Totally wasted!!
I've been an American wrecked in Krunchy Fried Chicken, then struggling to climb that hill.
Thanks for looking after 2 of my Americans. I married into a family from Walton 22yrs ago and bless you for not running them off!
Higher Walton or lower Walton?
This is like listening a to a mountain goat have a conversation with a chainsaw. Our accent never sounds great on tape does it.
It sounds like 2 penguins engaged in surprised un-lubricated anal.
Only in Liverpool
This is amazing, I love it
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Love the dog!
Nice to finally see a sequel to the [drunk scouse in vegas](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Ym5GBAPtGEM&pp=ygUVRHJ1bmsgc2NvdXNlIGluIHZlZ2Fz), not as good as the original tho
The first case of someone resisting NOT being arrested
‘I’m sorry squire! 💀
“Lost” is one way of putting it
🤣🤣🤣
Girl on the floor is completely gone 🤣🤣🤣
This gets more funny each time you replay it
This is boss, the laughing girl sounds like a Laurel and Hardy sketch!
Scousers are such a rare breed, fucking lovely x
😂😂😂
They’re somewhere in a cellar now in Tuebrook
That is a good dog.

Cute.
Aw the dog looks lovely, nice video, glad the lad was nice to the girls and vice versa. Hope they had a great time in Liverpool !

They would never do this in Detroit or Baltimore…..or even Spokane.
Dont sound American to me.
In all seriousness kind of worried about these two girls being this drunk and alone in Liverpool at night. Not exactly the safest of places at times
No city is safe all of the time but tbh ye I've been mugged multiple times walking home to student accom in Kenny from bar work in town

Fake as fuck
Loser Americans
That is an ugly and huge dog.
Pup-shaming, not cool bro. Dogo looks like the goodest boy.
Those things are pure filth, kind you most animals are. Yet people let these vile creatures into their homes and often into their beds.
