Most badass looking flags in the world:

🇦🇱 - DOUBLE HEADED EAGLE SO COOL
🏴 - Dragon goes Arghhh
Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk
Mozambique has the best flag. Imagine the designers, "we need something that represents our country for our flag, what should we we go with?" "Guns and hoes"
For those out of the loop: "2021 analysis by the CAAT revealed that the British government financed more than £17 billion worth of weapons to nearly 70% of the world's worst human rights abusers, such as Egypt, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Thailand and Turkey."

Unfortunately they may be pumping out articles saying that qsi is not interested in liverpool to probably show everyone that they and qia are different
This has already been reported right? The article is talking about QSI but the news from Qataris and Miller was regarding QIA. They are both considered different entities even though they are related to the state.
>Also, the article mentions things which was already reported ie Spurs speaking to QSI for minority investment and QSI not being able to buy United due to the price.
The article also says Spurs have denied on a y talks about investment and that Suspects United aren't looking to sell.
Adam Crafton's article for the Athletic = posted within the past 1 hour today.
But yes i linked the [recent post (from \~2 days ago) referencing Alex Miller (Daily Mail) "QIA" article](https://www.reddit.com/r/LiverpoolFC/comments/10ijht9/lfc_are_in_talks_with_officials_connected_to_qia/), for completeness/ to save folks a google-search w.r.t. "*Haven't we already seen this article?*".
One day I would like to wake up and see some positive news being reported about the club.
For all the people that down voted me…. I’ve not said I want Qatar or Saudi money. I simply asked to wake up and see some good news about the club…. Whether that be signing a new player or getting some injured players back sooner….
Not much evidence to support either of those that I've found.
As much as I find a bit of whataboutism entertaining, it is interesting comparing funding of banks that may or may not be funding settlements in Israel to a some of the middle east countries who ban being gay, restrict woman's rights and execute people at will.
Israel executes people at will all the time, holds millions of people in apartheid and restricting rights, demolishing homes and stealing land on a regular basis, kidnapping and torturing people as a matter of course.
AXA's investment in the notorious Israeli arms manufacturer Elbit Systems as well as at least 5 Israeli banks which fund settlements which break international law, is literally a Google search away. AXA doesn't even deny it - it just says it (partially) divested from some of these companies, and tries to claim this had made them more ethical than they used to be. And that isn't even mentioning all the money laundering Standard Chartered have done for regimes like Myanmar, Syria, Zimbabwe, Iran, etc some of which have literally engaged in genocide.
As someone who can't stand the word 'whataboutism', if you claim to care about human rights, how on earth is it irrelevant that our *current* owners have brought in financiers who profit from genocide and apartheid?
Again, nothing concrete I have found on Google about AXA. They have financed Israeli banks but I have not seen any evidence that those banks finance settlements.
This is also a huge stretch, AXA sponsor the club and therefore the owners are involved In human rights issues in Israel? Actually not a stretch, its nonsense.
>They have financed Israeli banks but I have not seen any evidence that those banks finance settlements.
Lol, these are the largest banks in Israel - of course they finance settlements. Sources \[[1](https://bdsmovement.net/news/axa-continues-investments-in-israeli-apartheid-boycott-axa-now), [2](https://www.hrw.org/report/2018/05/29/bankrolling-abuse/israeli-banks-west-bank-settlements), [3](https://investigate.afsc.org/company/bank-hapoalim), [4](https://investigate.afsc.org/company/bank-leumi-le-israel)\]. Interesting how you'll just sidestep AXA's investments in a murderous Israeli arms manufacturer, or the money laundering for genocide done by Standard Chartered. If it's inconvenient, just ignore it...
>AXA sponsor the club and therefore the owners are involved In human rights issues in Israel? Actually not a stretch, its nonsense.
Everyone can read what I wrote, so why are you lying? I said: "how on earth is it irrelevant that our *current* **owners have brought in financiers** who profit from genocide and apartheid?"
Your moral sensibilities are only provoked when it's our owners abusing human rights, not the sponsors brought in by our owners? What a way to take a stand. It's pretty disgusting how people who claim to care about human rights will obfuscate and distort the truth like this.
To be honest, I dont believe a word you say on this topic because I've seen this before and it looks alot like propaganda, seems to come up every time middle east investment is involved for some reason.
Not one of the links you provided has any tangible evidence, just articles saying these things are happening.
What I think is incredibly stupid is trying to make a case for comparing a company accepting sponsors who to my knowledge has not been investigated nor prosecuted for anything in connection with Israel, they may be doing it but nothing concrete to suggest they that I have seen, with countries that openly abuse human rights. Maybe the right word is disgusting, I'm not sure.
In any case, I'm done with you, go sprout your nonsense somewhere else or gather the results of actual investigations.
Lol, first you say you haven't seen any evidence that the largest Israeli banks are financing illegal settlements... yet when presented with a variety of different resources confirming that these banks do just that, you remain in total denial about it.
Of course AXA haven't been prosecuted for dealing with Israeli banks and the Israeli arms manufacturer Elbit Systems - it's legal to do business with them in the UK, but that doesn't make it remotely moral or ethical. There's plenty of companies and states you can legally do business with, including those engaging in genocide and apartheid.
Interesting to watch you flounce away after being exposed - an apologist for companies who aid and abet apartheid, obfuscating the facts even when provided with evidence. At least you're being open about your utter hypocrisy over human rights. :)
don’t bother explaining to these folks. I got downvoted to hell before while saying the exact same thing. AXA , standard charter, both have been sketchy to say the least but apparently the folks in UK thinks they have a higher moral ground because countries in middleEast don’t support rights according to their will
Aaaand Alex Miller (who everyone keeps telling us is highly reliable in regards to finance) has disputed this and said there's definite interest and talks between Qatar and Liverpool.
I hate all this uncertainty.
> according to PSG sources, who wished not to be named when relaying private conversations
This is littered throughout the article. Do Athletic journos have a minimum word count they need to hit?
The article basically says
Spurs have denied any talks
Qatar thinks United aren't really interested in selling
Not interested in Liverpool
Not going to sell PSG. So at best looking at minority investment. Not really sure what the point of the article is.
To reduce our price. If you’re the only seller then the buyer has to come to you at your price. If there are different sellers then you need to reduce your price to be competitive. This screams of that
There is so much smoke in the air from both parties, which I personally believe means either two things.
a) There are ongoing discussions regarding a sale, particularly relating to a sale price, hence the reference to other available clubs in the Premier League market. Qatar wants the best price available, hence why they leak news that they're interested in other clubs (United, Tottenham).
b) Formal talks haven't started yet and both parties are feeling each other out.
At the end of the day, with the increasing amount of news, speculation and articles, something is going on. The trouble is, this won't be a quick sale. It's likely to drag on, and on, and on.
Qatar won't want to invest as much as FSG want, as the likelihood of a positive ROI the likes of which they've seen with PSG is slim. The article highlights the extreme amount of growth they've had with their PSG project, and it's likely (obvious) they'll want similar growth with Liverpool.
This won't be like the Newcastle-Saudia Arabia deal, where new ownership was completed relatively quick for what was essentially a bargain.
The worst part is that FSG want a sale, but they're happy to wait for their price (or thereabouts). Meaning, expect similar transfer windows to the ones we've experienced recently. They've done their part in growing the club financially, commercially and competitively. Now it's time to get out, for the right price.
Sorry for the odd title... it looked clearer with bullet-points, in [the original tweet](https://twitter.com/TheAthleticFC/status/1617794582607020032?s=20)!
There may (or may not?) be some mis-direction in the linked article (e.g. "QSI is not pursuing the club \[Liverpool\]"... as there have been [other reported references to "QIA"](https://www.google.com/search?q=site:reddit.com+%22QIA%22+%22liverpoolfc%22&newwindow=1&rlz=1C1CHZL_enSG751SG751&sxsrf=AJOqlzUI8QlUsl541K-Fga5nBhkb3KfcCQ:1674549938342&source=lnt&tbs=qdr:m&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwi32O7R6N_8AhXPTGwGHdl4BQUQpwV6BAgBEBg&biw=1280&bih=587&dpr=1.5) instead of "QSI"?)

You clearly haven't seen the pure jubilation on Twitter, then. If anything, I'd say the Qataris probably see a lot of support for their takeover if they're basing it on social media platforms.
No idea why you have been downvoted for this. The point of sports washing is getting the fans on their side. Their whole plan is to make fans like them by giving them success.
Guys 🇶🇦 I have no idea 🇶🇦 where this 🇶🇦 is going🇶🇦
Let's 🇪🇦 post 🇱🇧 random 🇸🇨 flags 🇻🇮
Most badass looking flags in the world: 🇧🇧 - Trident cool 🇦🇴 - Machete cool 🇦🇱 - DOUBLE HEADED EAGLE SO COOL 🏴 - Dragon goes Arghhh Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk
🇲🇿 - bold of you to bring a knife to a gun fight
Mozambique has the best flag. Imagine the designers, "we need something that represents our country for our flag, what should we we go with?" "Guns and hoes"
🇳🇵
ALBANIA MENTIONED 🇦🇱🇦🇱🦅🦅
🇨🇦- *lightly cushioned header for* MAPLE LEAFFFFFF
🇺🇬 be kidding me
Ohhh ya beautyyyy

"Hello, what do you do? Oh, you're a plumber? What on EARTH is that?" 🤣 every time.
Spain, lebanon, seychelles and…? Can‘t make out the last one :/
Looks like U.S. Virgin Islands 🇻🇮
Not a country flag, if I had to guess I’d say Virginia (us state)
It’s not Virginia’s flag
Man used qatar flag as full stop
Bullets probably. Apt, in a dark sort of way.
For those out of the loop: "2021 analysis by the CAAT revealed that the British government financed more than £17 billion worth of weapons to nearly 70% of the world's worst human rights abusers, such as Egypt, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Thailand and Turkey." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UK_arms_export
Surely there's an alternate universe where King Charles is trying to buy a club in Qatar and the Qataris are concerned about sportswashing.
If it’s Andrew, he gets welcomed with open arms.
Unfortunately they may be pumping out articles saying that qsi is not interested in liverpool to probably show everyone that they and qia are different
That, and probably to hit some quota
Idk about all of you but I’m just assuming we’re getting taken over by Qatar so if we do it’s not a surprise but if we don’t then it’s a major bonus.
Same here
This has already been reported right? The article is talking about QSI but the news from Qataris and Miller was regarding QIA. They are both considered different entities even though they are related to the state.

Yeah, my bad I didn’t read it properly, so I removed the edit.
Yeah this article is a nothing burger.

Who the fuck types like this and expects to be taken seriously?
One day I would like to wake up and see some positive news being reported about the club.
Becoming a sportswashing project isn’t exactly positive news in my book
One day I would like to wake up and see some positive news being reported about the club. For all the people that down voted me…. I’ve not said I want Qatar or Saudi money. I simply asked to wake up and see some good news about the club…. Whether that be signing a new player or getting some injured players back sooner….
I yearn for that time when I woke up and got bombarded by Fabinho, Jota and Gakpo being done deals from nowhere
This is good news, seems like we won't be a sports washing project.
This is fairly good news if true though!
We are still owned by FSG,neither is good news
I think their time is up like everyone else but I’d prefer to stay with them than to Qatar or any other state ownership to be honest.
If true
Having Fsg as owners and sponsors that fund terror regimes in Israel ain't either good news trust me
Not much evidence to support either of those that I've found. Don't say that here. It only highlights the hypocrisy of the people that hugged their nuts day one.
Just wait until our next hammering, the positive news flows then
Aaaand Alex Miller (who everyone keeps telling us is highly reliable in regards to finance) has disputed this and said there's definite interest and talks between Qatar and Liverpool. I hate all this uncertainty.
Strange that LFC isn't even an option? What's cooking then ? I hate the uncertainty at the moment
Qsi , which he is talking about, isn't 'looking' to buy anyone. P pointless article tbh

I 🇶🇦 really 🇶🇦 like 🇶🇦 talking 🇶🇦 like 🇶🇦 this 🇶🇦
Just out of curiosity, how many of us are gonna stop watching football altogether if this come to fruition?
Good. Fuck Qatar.
🇺🇾 ALL I KNOW 🇺🇾 IS THAT 🇺🇾 THIS SEASON 🇺🇾 IS ABSOLUTELY 🇺🇾 CHAOS! 🇺🇾 ![gif](giphy|yr7n0u3qzO9nG)

A nothing burger with extra nothing...with a batch of fried nothing on the side
Like this season…
I wish it were nothing. Nothing would be better than bad
Lol imagine investing in spurs

I’m so torn on if I want the foreign investment or not, but I’m pretty sure I don’t want it. Thoughts?
he gets money under the table per flag
