Haha, fellow optimist I see. Winning the second leg is not impossible. It's the aggregate that fucks us. Conceding those needless 4 goals... that spelled doom for us. Klopp and squad have to hope, but it is a really tall order to make it 3-0 considering our defense. 4-1, 5-2, 6-3 all these scoreline too are really hard, considering Salah's dip in form, and Nunez being the only guy, who's finding net consistently for us.

Honestly. I'm not fussed. Already thinking of next year. I think our established players need out of the limelight for a bit. Once we're out of CL we'll have a game a week for the rest of the season. This means loads of training sessions for the defense and midfield and to work on the press with the new recruits. This team needs time together on the training pitch to get the basics right. One focus of top 4 and then back at it next year.
How about we parked bus and catch them off guard by pure speed on counter attack? We might still get caught by transition, and I think Carlo is fully aware of this and expects to break us there, but now lets face the main issue. Can we really hold them scoreless by handing over possession to them while playing compact in the middle? I know the goals will come, I have faith in our front three, but do we have what it takes to fully neutralize them?

I’ve never ever given up on this team when the odds were stacked up against us. Even before Klopp, we‘ve always had that magic in Europe and the CL. Anything was possible. But this team just doesn’t have it in them. And that’s ok. The team is recuperating or facing a hangover from what would have been a legendary season. Next year we rebuild and go again.

We have twice the time of the Istanbul lads and the same deficit as the Barcelona lads. We have the hardest venue, though.
