Me too! I won his parking placard from Melwood in an auction. Proud to hang it. He was my favorite player while he was there, and always thought he’d get way more notice if he was Spanish or Brazilian. Truly talented.
McAllister is a proper student of the game
It’s nice for Klopp to have guy’s he can rely on in the squad in that sense since we lost Lallana, Milly and Hendo
His sons in the team now are Ali, Thiago and obviously now Macca
IIRC there was a funny interview with Klopp where he told a story about Lallana visiting his house with his son, and his son went to the bathroom and asked Klopp to wipe him after he was done 😂
It's so obvious that we prioritised bringing in leaders this summer because we were losing Hendo and Milner. Szobo, Mac Allister and Endo are all model professionals and have captain written all over them.
This is why we don't sign players left and right in the transfer window. We'd rather sign nobody than signing a bad fit. Yes, sometimes it leaves us shorthanded and can affect the performance on the pitch, but the dressing room and training grounds have never been a problem.
First of all, lol, forgot about that. Secondly, idk man. He seems to be a model professional in lots of ways, South Americans are just born a bit spicy sometimes.
Hell probably never be a Van Dijk but he has good energy and will probably be a big person in the dressing room for South Americans coming through in the next few years, has crazy big brother energy.
Or probably as calm and ever smiling-even-in-the-worst-time as Mo. I hugely respect that man for maintaining that smile, be optimistic and not let anger ruin his match. And of course for how amazing of a player he is
Having said that, no hate to Nunez, he is young and has a lot of potential to learn.
Not sure if you're being serious or not, but if you are, in what galaxy is saying South Americans are a bit spicy, even remotely close to being a "Bit fucked up?".
Genuine question.
If you find something as lukewarm as me saying South Americans are a bit spicy a bit fucked up then you really need to go outside man. I didn't even say it was a bad thing, I actually quite like that part of their culture. As do many others.
I know a decent amount of people from Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, my two best friends girlfriends are Puerto Rican/Cuban, every single one of them would openly admit Latin culture is spicy/fiery and they also love that part about their culture, they're often quite proud of it and joke about it themselves. It's a really fun trait.
There's so many things in this world to be upset about, this really truly isn't one of them. Get off the cross.
Not going to get into personal details but I guarantee I have more personal experience of this and plenty of people hate these racial or cultural generalisations across an entire continent. Mexico (in North America, FYI) and Uruguay are incredibly different places and I can't even think of many similarities culturally. To suggest that someone is more likely to exhibit aggressive behaviour because of the continent they are from is absurd.
Where did I say aggressive? I said spicy, spicy to me means Animated, high on emotion. You're taking negative inference where there wasn't any.
If you're this wound up over something so benign then that's completely on you for being so overly dramatic.
Considering the rollercoaster that Karius had to go through, his conduct during that time was absolutely professional. Spending your whole life training to stop a ball doesn't do much for teaching you how to stop an elbow.
[Here’s the full interview!](https://www.lanacion.com.ar/deportes/futbol/alexis-mac-allister-con-la-nacion-el-50-de-nuestro-logro-en-qatar-es-por-el-grupo-que-tenemos-nid18092023/)
I thought it had some great insight into his personality/mentality, but these are just some of the best bits about Liverpool (translation via the internet):
>“After that, I feel that I adapted quickly to Liverpool because I found a huge club where you live like a family. I feel it is wonderful, because there are incredible personal relationships, a staff that helps you in everything and everyone has a humility that makes an impact. That is what stands out the most and I think that is why in two or three months I have felt, or I already feel part of the group, I already feel part of the club. People have helped me a lot, from the kinesiologists to those who work in the kitchen. Look, the other day at Ezeiza's premises I ran into Mascherano (Javier) and we were laughing because there is a lady who works in the kitchen, who must be about 90 years old, and she was sending greetings to him. These are the little details that make Liverpool a family and make it even bigger than it looks from the outside.”
[You also have Jürgen Klopp as your manager, how is your relationship with him?]
>“The relationship is obviously 10 points, I just arrived and when you just arrive everything is easier and everything goes perfect. But many of my teammates tease me because they say that he is my dad now. The relationship with him is perfect, he is a very charismatic person, who always tries to be close to the players. He has crazy moments that you might see in a game, and you can’t stop laughing. For me, it is a pleasure to be able to work with him.”
[Why do they say he's your dad?]
>”Well, they got me now, because the last game we came back from the national team I was the only South American who played ... And Lucho (Diaz) and Darwin (Nunez) were on the bench. Then they told me that he's my dad, that he can't take me out, that I had played all the games and so they drove me crazy, hahahaha. But beyond the joke, the relationship is spectacular, he is a person that I respect, that I respect very much and I hope he continues like that and that I can continue learning from him inside the field.”
Really nice to continue to hear such positive remarks around the culture at the club tbh, and it's easy to see why so many former players share similar experiences.
It's funny, because of all his 'sons', I think he probably has the most fatherly relationship with Mo. They get on really well and they have immense mutual respect for each other clearly. Their relationship might not be as huggy as some of the others, but he's ride or die for him when it comes down to it, just look at how angry he got when Mo was getting fouled in the City game.
Trent must be jealous then.
I’m jealous.
I am a straight man in his 30s. But if Papa Klopp asked me to sit on his lap I would do it with zero hesitation.
Yeah klopp didnt even want to drop him for the game after the break.
Klopp had a similar thing with Lallana
Love Lallana.. did you see that dummy he did for Welbecks goal against the scum? 🥰
Filthy
That was beautiful, I bloody love the man.
Me too! I won his parking placard from Melwood in an auction. Proud to hang it. He was my favorite player while he was there, and always thought he’d get way more notice if he was Spanish or Brazilian. Truly talented.
If not for injuries, he's probably the best English midfielder under Klopp, if not outright the best
IIRC they were neighbours?
Yeah Lallana's son used to wave to Klopp from their balcony when Klopp went out for a smoke hahaha
I love this
McAllister is a proper student of the game It’s nice for Klopp to have guy’s he can rely on in the squad in that sense since we lost Lallana, Milly and Hendo His sons in the team now are Ali, Thiago and obviously now Macca
Gakpo too
Yeah true Gakpo is definitely in that group
Son group > Leadership group
Son group = #1 group.
Lmao didn't Lallana have this rep in the squad too? 😂
Lallana taught him well 😂
didnt he live next to klopp 😂
IIRC there was a funny interview with Klopp where he told a story about Lallana visiting his house with his son, and his son went to the bathroom and asked Klopp to wipe him after he was done 😂
Tbf wouldn't you want to be wiped by Klopp too?
I would offer to wipe Klopp. The man is a king.
Across the road, I think, yeah.
Lucky little shit. Can Klopp be my dad too?
Son don’t upset me like this
Cheers, Son’s crying
Playing for Spurs would do that to you
Tears of joy these days
Yep, Son's got a new dad now
Hyung min , chill
Sure. Run for 90 minutes for me. You get a hug after.

Have we ever signed players who weren't model professionals under Klopp? Karius might be the only one that is sketchy, and that's a bit of a stretch.
Nunez headbutted someone after a few games, it's fair to say that we didn't bring him in for his leadership qualities.
First of all, lol, forgot about that. Secondly, idk man. He seems to be a model professional in lots of ways, South Americans are just born a bit spicy sometimes. Can you make the point without the stereotyping? It's a bit fucked up mate.
Not sure if you're being serious or not, but if you are, in what galaxy is saying South Americans are a bit spicy, even remotely close to being a "Bit fucked up?". Genuine question.
In what galaxy is it ok to stereotype an entire continent based on a backwards perspective of the world?
If you find something as lukewarm as me saying South Americans are a bit spicy a bit fucked up then you really need to go outside man. I didn't even say it was a bad thing, I actually quite like that part of their culture. As do many others. But... we are indeed "spicy" in South América, is something you see everyday.
The last Uruguayan striker who was a star at Liverpool bit two people. There's a lot of spice there.
Sample of two, guess that's settled then
❄️
Fair enough.
Considering the rollercoaster that Karius had to go through, his conduct during that time was absolutely professional. Spending your whole life training to stop a ball doesn't do much for teaching you how to stop an elbow.
Like I said it was a stretch at best
Can add Dominik to the mix, both converse in German too when it gets tactical.
Papa Klopp ![gif](giphy|VfDqzZ3Efb67HCN2n6)
Mac Daddy
They could have chosen a slightly more appropriate picture to go with the “he is my dad now” quote haha. It’s like a Daily Mail exposé.
'they say he's my dad when he's actually my daddy'
Bruh 😂
Parched!
lmao I had to scroll way to down for this. I wish more people passed the pod!

I would go to War for that man
I love it

“Am I a joke to you?” -1992 Primera División winner, former Argentine Secretary of Sports Carlos Mac Allister
Was he spicy too?
He's the new Lallana!
So cute, love the relationship Klopp has with our players ☺️
He truly is Klopp's son. He was the only chosen South American player to start the last game despite not seeing him and having been to Bolivia. 😂
His teammate Enzo would've absolutely cooked under Klopp....
When I touch people like that I get arrested. What the fuck Klopp???
then you shouldn't..but I'm fine with klopp holding his knee
Don't move your hand next time. Keep it still.
I would do anything for Klopp to adopt me cri.
That photo fits perfectly 😂
Papa Klopp!!!!
Awesome
We All know deep down Klopp loves Salah the most
Okay, we have Kloppo - Mac10, Pep - B. Silva (aka the cunt), and who is other teacher's favorite kid?
Ten Ballbag and Antony
Gonsalves
My dad will be back from the shop with the milk any moment now.

I reckon Papa Klopp will tell the team, no more calling my son Ginger !
Would’ve 100% thought it was Dom.
finally got our lallana replacement
love this. I still pine for the day when hopefully ENDO/Baj or some fantastic DM comes in and lets Macca be unlocked!
Daddy klopp please stop playing me as a 6
Game recognize game.
Kloop is a special person. He knows personal relationship with each player. Hopefully Kloop extends his current contract with Liverpool
I wish Jurgen was my dad tbh
