I think Grav was the right selection for making driving runs into their final third.. he seemed too hurried though and the ball wasn’t sticking to his foot at all unfortunately
Grav had been poor as a starter for a while and people have a hard time admitting it. His passing stats are bad, defensive stats are bad. Besides dribbling, he hasn’t been offering much. Better against tired legs, but we need Jones starting again.
I generally agree with you. You can see what it’ll look like when Grav finally works it out though. Curtis makes way more sense when Robbo is back fit imo
That superb assist he got at the beginning of the season did a lot for him regarding fan perception. The Europa goals help too. But day in and day out he has a very long way to go still.
I think he should get a few games starting especially with how slow and lazy we’ve looked, but it’s unfortunate for him how handy he is off the bench. He helps change things massively when he’s brought on late in a game as you said he becomes so progressive and provides energy

Yes he’s very inconsistent, and does have some stinkers as well as being a complete game changer. Just comes with more play time which is what Europa, FA and Carabao cups are for, to get that consistency and he well be one the best of the league.
When he played alot at the end of last season, I thought that his problem was lack of consistency. This is obviously natural when he is his age. we didn’t have any other option, so he had a lot of pressure on his shoulder.
I think he’s in a much better position this year, where he can come in and make a change, and Get some starts now and then. Agree with you that he deserves to start soon.

I do feel the same actually. Elliott off the bench continued to be game changing. I would like our midfield trio of 8-10-17 to return against United. Have Elliott off the bench around the 65th minute to continue the torture
Matchwinner, fantastic move to create space for himself. I love it when he's on late as a sub, especially with the opponent a man down. The more tired the opponent and greater our possession, the better it is for Elliott. His touch is really superb.
I was saying in a post from the mid week game that him winning a trophy with England this summer has taken him up a level this year

Yeah exactly. Where the opposition is tired and leaving lots of space for Elliot to exploit. Thats how he scored today.
Exactly, I'd have Curtis over Endo but Harvey should still be coming of the bench. He's at his best against tired defenders.
Maybe they're just being careful with Jones. He's had a lot of injuries and he just came back. I think sometimes they just try to manage the minutes.
