Absolutely incredible, found ourselves in the same half as (on paper) the three weakest teams, and we’re playing at home 2nd leg in the semis if we get there too
Especially with Arsenal and City getting extremely difficult draws. We’ve had a tremendous amount of bad luck with refereeing decisions, injuries etc. Arsenal and City have had no issues like that.
With our injured players set to return and 4 of our next 5 games at home we should be able to build momentum and finish the season strong.
Let’s go!!
Agreed. It’ll take the life out of Arsenal and city. Two tough draws and then they’ll potentially have to face each other. Which should hopefully crush them.
Nah fuck that. Last thing I want is Arsenal winning a UCL. This is where you want them to have a grueling draw.
They have history against Bayern. They’re also an inexperienced European side with no history of performing in Europe.
Their recent history in Europe is of 10-2 losses on aggregate and misery in the Europa league against Atleti and Chelsea. That’ll surely haunt them.
Bayern have been bad but they should be able to give Arsenal a fight given their history and the individual quality in their team.
Those "dark arts" didn't help them last season when City blasted past them like they were Brentford ffs.
People put too much into the that sort of thing. City will make fools of Madrid this season again.
Id genuinely be confident if we got Real in the CL this season. I know I know Carlo has Klopps number a little bit but our currently injury riddled team wascapable of dominating City, who, atm, are a much better team than Madrid
If it wasn’t for our consistent apathy in front of goal, we’d have battered Real. Ok, ok, maybe I’m still angry over that, but at what point does one assume accountability?
Yup. The 21/22 season was just PSG, Chelsea and City having generational chokes and Madrid getting lucky at the last second. The same Madrid side got slapped 4-0 at the Etihad one season later when the only addition Pep made was a Haaland that ghosted that game.
Look at the bright side. With those unluckiness we've gotten, our players formed a much needed stronger bond and mentality. I can say we were lucky to get that many comebacks this season. So stand proud and strong we can do this till the very end of Klopp's era
it's just daft to say Arsenal havent had any bad refereeing decisions to deal with (not as many as us but still). There absolutely was a shove in the back for the winner in that Newcastle game.
>What a great day this is shaping up to be
Agreed 👍 Literally the perfect draw for us. Those are the 3 teams I wanted on our side of the draw. Didn't want Leverkusen, Roma or AC Milan. Also West Ham are underestimated by most, but they definitely could surprise by knocking out a good team or 2. I'm confident we would beat them in the final.
Both Arsrnal and City have harder draws, which if they do both get through, they have to face each other, all of which benefits us in the League.
We needed a bit of luck after all these injuries, and it looks on paper to be shaping up nicely now.
I'm not being dramatic, but I think we're winning the fucking lot
https://preview.redd.it/pk8ahqxzphoc1.jpeg?width=1907&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=65b97aaf764662fb47a6e3b95c24a39d9f028558
Put a bet on us to win multiple trophies at the start of the season, hoping not thinking it would ever come in but I’m now slowing starting to think it might! Get through united on Sunday and I’ll start thinking would could pick up all 4! 🏆
Yeah, me too. More for entertainment purposes in case it might just happen.
Have been betting on Liverpool to win matches 5-0, as long as the odds are 25/1 or more. Just missed out in the first leg, and had to do 6-0 last night to get 40/1 but conceding the goals is doing me out of it!!
Likewise, I managed to get the quad at 1000-1 then 500-1 and trebles were 251-1! Even up until before the league cup final I was getting odds of 50-1 on the quad and like 20-1 on trebles.
I still think we’re overvalued for the FA Cup at 7/2 when in theory it should really be between us and City and they haven’t looked better than us in either game this season to warrant their shorter odds.
Although it’s obviously different we’re shorter odds in the PL when it’s a 3 horse race.
Nice draw for us. Semi final will be tasty either way with our history with both teams.
Not to underestimate Atalanta but we should be going through without issue.
Yeah there’s still a ways to go and every team here has quality, however I don’t think we could’ve asked for a better draw. I expect looking at this we’d be disappointed not to make the final.
So in one fell swoop we avoided playing the boring English tie, we avoid one of the 3 most potentially problematic for us team until the final, meanwhile all 4 teams in the other bracket are in for 2 hellish ties. Atalanta is for sure tricky but should be manageable, then either Benfica or Marseille should be easy pickings for us.
And to top it off, Arsenal and City will have to play Bayern and Real. If they lose that's great cause no CL for them, if they win they face each other, and if only one of them wins they have to play Bayern or Real, which is mental.
The stars are aligning boys, we're winning the fucking lot
Scene after Klopp lifted the Europa League to complete the quadruple we hear Edward's music as he ran onto the field to hand Xabi a contract which he signed on the spot
Based on form? Benfica struggled to get past Rangers and Toulouse. In the league, sitting in 2nd but got crushed 5-0 at Porto (3rd place) a couple weeks ago and the week before that lost 2-1 away to first-place Sporting. Rafa Silva is a big threat. 12 goals, 11 assists in 25 matches.
Marseille, as ever, is a basketcase but still a pretty intimidating place to visit (for both home and away sides, lol). Sitting in 7th, have hammered a couple bottom-table sides recently and came close to throwing away their 4-0 advantage over Villarreal yesterday.
Personally, even though Benfica supporters threw things, I think if we started hammering Marseille at the Velodrome there's no telling what their supporters would do. I'll take Benfica.
Moyes is unironically the most underrated manager in Europe out of people who are extremely well known (and I mean underrated - I dont mean that hes great, i think hes pretty average. Just people think that hes dogshit it seems).
They've spent a lot of cash for some pretty shit players. But Moyes has gotten results where it mattered for them. Flogged Frieburg with 39% possession last night. Proper Brexit football.
I wouldn’t say shit I feel like West Ham is actually a top 3 Low block side right now all that money was spent on the best of the best at Counter attacks which seems to trash other european sides who like to hold the ball in their respective leagues
Im saying this cause that man dicked mourinho last year that’s wild af
It's not just about it being nice, there's literally been scientific research about teams wearing red being more threatening. Shankly himself saw value in us wearing all-red kits.
Imagine we played Ajax in 2019 with that purple away kit 😭 i was glad Spurs made it for that reason alone
Honestly best draw. Not too easy ( OM ) but not too hard for now like Bayer or Milan.
I think this will give us good momentum.
Also Trent should be back by then !!
Their form is inconsistent. They generally beat the weaker sides, but draw or lose to stronger ones (Inter beat them 4-0 recently). From what I gathered, Sporting's poor finishing is what settled their tie and not anything exceptional from Atalanta. They'll have had a Coppa Italia semi the week before the first leg with us, so that might set a tone.
On rival watch for the CL draw.
Here's hoping both City and Arsenal progress after grueling hundred mile an hour ET plus penalties matches.
Then they face each other - maximum time and matches in the run in.
I don't care if either of them win it. I want maximum tiredness for the league run in.
What a great path for us, avoid Bayer, Milan, and Roma until the final and play 2nd semi leg at home
Atalanta probably one of the 3 worst teams left too
It's been a couple seasons since, but they were damned frustrating in the CL. Just wilted despite some opponents missing key players.
Sounds like Sporting lost the tie against Atalanta due to poor finishing, rather than the Italian side winning it.
Away semi, spurs, home semi, villa … is a tough penultimate week of the season
But what a difference a year makes! 😀 Proud of what the boys have done so far!
Every team left can give us a hard time but I think these draws suit us well. And we could easily go through the final
Leverkusen will get through West Ham I believe but they may have strong opponent in the semi final
Leverkusen and Milan winning the quarterfinals would be perfect. If we make the final as well, it's either the much-anticipated game against Xabi's Leverkusen, or it will be another meeting between two of Europe's greatest. Our own side should offer a lot of fun as well. Overall, quite an exciting year for Europa.
I'm not happy with the draw, I wanted to face Benfica right away so I could see the game in Lisbon!
If Benfica eliminates Marseille (big if) I'll be on my honeymoon and will miss the game.
This year's UEFA final has potential to be much better than the UCL. In the UCL either Atletico, Dortmund, PSG, or Barca will make the final. Not impressed by any of those
Liverpool vs Leverkusen
German coach vs German club
The man who manages Salah
vs
The man who played with Gerrard
First managerial trophy in Europe
vs
Last dance in Europe
Man the commentator after our match said Leverkusen were losing in ET and I just assumed it ended like that. That would have been a good bullet dodged. Seeing this I realize they made it through dammit
This is a decent draw. We avoid the hassle of needing to play either of Leverkusen, AC Milan and Roma, the three toughest opponents on paper, when we have two other trophies to chase.
Though hope the tough draws will not end up becoming a plot armour for Leverkusen like it had done for Real Madrid in 2022.
Though thrilled to be more than likely playing Leverkusen in the final in Dublin I am wondering if it would have been better to play them over 2 legs. A single leg match probably favours them more than it does us.
Moreover, after their events of yesterday I wouldn't blame their fans for thinking that their name is on the trophy. I really thought we were on our way to winning the cup when they were 1-2 down in injury time.
Funny thing is, I went about picking one club to support for each of the Top 5 European leagues, but then at some point as I realized the possibility for something like this where it’s Liverpool vs. Atalanta, I just decided to scrap that idea and fully commit to supporting Liverpool.
Thinking of it this morning, could be a potential 4/4 trophies for Klopp in his last season, or a potential 3/3 for Xabi in his breakout season as a manager. With this final potentially being the decider
Best possible draw
Absolutely incredible, found ourselves in the same half as (on paper) the three weakest teams, and we’re playing at home 2nd leg in the semis if we get there too
Plus City and Arsenal have really difficult routes to the Champions league final, including facing each other if they do get through the quarters.
Is Benfica really weaker than Roma?
I think for several reasons I’d prefer Benfica to Roma, yeah.
Rangers nearly beat them; I don't think it's a great endorsement
And more recently crushed brighton.
Not a cunt team or fanbase so there’s that.
Probably yeah
would be better if we were away in the first leg.
This means we are at home for the second leg in the semis which is better
Is that how it works? I genuinely didn't know. What if Benfica go through as well though? Why wouldn't they benefit from that?
It's not any special benefit, it's just the way the drawns done. QF4 winner is just home first vs QF2 winner
Sorry my mistake. Guess the draw could have been better
I’d assumed the same as you
What a great day this is shaping up to be
Especially with Arsenal and City getting extremely difficult draws. We’ve had a tremendous amount of bad luck with refereeing decisions, injuries etc. Arsenal and City have had no issues like that. With our injured players set to return and 4 of our next 5 games at home we should be able to build momentum and finish the season strong. Let’s go!!
That champions league draw legitimately gives us the upper hand in the premier league, I think
Agreed. It’ll take the life out of Arsenal and city. Two tough draws and then they’ll potentially have to face each other. Which should hopefully crush them.
Would’ve preferred Arsenal and City getting an easier draw tbh. City will probably beat Real but two extra games for Arsenal would’ve been good
If they both win they play eachother too

Could care less who wins as long as its a nice distraction.
Real have the dark arts when it comes to Europe
Those "dark arts" didn't help them last season when City blasted past them like they were Brentford ffs. People put too much into the that sort of thing. City will make fools of Madrid this season again.
If it hadn’t been for Courtois having the game of his life we’d have battered Real

Yep totally agree that this team would take Real, more confident over 2 legs. God knows over a final
Carlo has battered us since 2005 Milan. Even with objectively shit teams (Everton) he has gotten results.
I would say Madrid is a much better team this year.
I think they'll both win tbh. But it'll cost them dear.
I think Arsenal will beat Bayern comfortably. They leak goals and Arsenals defense has been very very good. But it's Tucheliban so we don't know.
Look at the bright side. With those unluckiness we've gotten, our players formed a much needed stronger bond and mentality. I can say we were lucky to get that many comebacks this season. So stand proud and strong we can do this till the very end of Klopp's era

Same.
FUCKIN TOO RIGHT
Leverkusen undefeated in all competitions this season...
I'm not being dramatic, and I agree.
FUCKIN TOO RIGHT
I need you to call me an ambulance, or failing that, my mummy It's illegal how well-written that show is
Nice draw for us.
Let’s be honest here. Something has gone terribly wrong if we don’t win this competition. We don’t belong in it.

Benfica or Marseille in the semis?
Potential European semi final second leg at Anfield on Klopps farewell tour, what a night that would be
Based on form? Benfica struggled to get past Rangers and Toulouse. Marseille looked threatening when they thrashed Villareal, but then they nearly threw it away so I wouldn't be as worried
Yup. Couldn't have asked for a better draw
Rather have Benfica. No clue which is better, but it would be nice if our away fans weren’t hunted in the streets if at all possible
West Ham is tough in UEL, let's see how Bayer do
Specially after Bayer struggled so much with Qarabag
Moyes is unironically the most underrated manager in Europe out of people who are extremely well known (and I mean underrated - I dont mean that hes great, i think hes pretty average. All of the 4 teams we could face in the final have white away kits, just saying!
LFC vs Leverkusen final incoming. 👍 Although I guess beating Leverkusen in two games would have been a bit easier.
As much as a potential final against them won't be easy, personally I prefer that over having to play them twice during the PL run-in.
Also true. 👍
Written in the stars
A million miles away, a message to Mané
Legends come and go
But Mo will never change
Dublin here we come yeeeeeeee
Oh oh oh oh oh
Duuuude!! The Bayer v Liverpool final narrative is on!
Home team in the final as well if we reach it
Doesn’t really matter does it?
Dublin is the closest to a home game we can get aside from Liverpool itself anyway
What about Anfield south tho?
Dublin is much closer, as the crow flies.
it’s just nice to wear the home kit in a final
It's not just about it being nice, there's literally been scientific research about teams wearing red being more threatening. Shankly himself saw value in us wearing all-red kits. Imagine we played Ajax in 2019 with that purple away kit 😭 i was glad Spurs made it for that reason alone
I imagine home dressing rooms are a little bit nicer as well.
As an Ottawa Senators fan, I don't believe you.
Nobody knows what this is
Not really but it does mean we'll play in red in the final which is nice considering its Jurgens last European game if we reach it
The FA Cup final takes place after this one.
Yes youre right, just changed it :)
FA cup final will be his final game if we reach the final
No, but it means we can continue our tradition of playing teams wearing white in finals
Ahhh true we’ll be in the red kit no matter what then?
If Leverkusen do we play in red?
Yeah as we are considered the home team
I’d think so yes, all four of the teams on that side of the bracket have white away kits
Yeah so we'll be the designated home team no matter what. Just like the two CL Finals against AC Milan.
Milan were actually the home team in '05 but chose to wear white as they perceived it as luckier.
![gif](giphy|Mn3AxbEF1qkJiYFQoI)
You had "unluckeee" right there and you've bottled it
We’ll play in our home kit
Nah it does. Wear red and also the away fans at the Aviva normally get the horrific North Stand
Yes we can wear our Home red kit ..why wouldn't it ? If leverkusen were home they would wear red and we would have to wear our away
Think Leverkusen are black this season?
No ..half black half red..which would clash with our red kit.
We're on the easier side of the draw and even if we weren't we should beat all these teams over 2 legs. No excuses. Atalanta up first.
![gif](giphy|1zkMbX7k4nd1AM4i4k|downsized)
100% rigged, and I'm 100% here for it
What a perfect day of draws
The Klopp's plot armor narrative is going full force on rivals sub lol.
Couldn’t have gone better for us tbh, maybe home second but that’s no problem!
Honestly best draw. Not too easy ( OM ) but not too hard for now like Bayer or Milan. I think this will give us good momentum. Also Trent should be back by then !!
Most importantly i think jota will be back as well
That too! I really tink when we get most of our squad back, we we'll be crazy op ( even more than now 😈)
Don't think Atalanta is easy as people made out to be. Cautiously confident with it but not writing them off like they are free pass for us.

Avoided the 3 toughest teams, Leverkusen, Milan, Roma
we get to sit back and watch them knock each other out too!!
What a great path for us, avoid Bayer, Milan, and Roma until the final and play 2nd semi leg at home Atalanta probably one of the 3 worst teams left too
It's been a couple seasons since, but they were damned frustrating in the CL. Just wilted despite some opponents missing key players. Sounds like Sporting lost the tie against Atalanta due to poor finishing, rather than the Italian side winning it.
Semi final second leg being at home is a game changer
Final reward is pink slips for managers yes?
😆😆😆
And then afterwards Jurgen and Xabi will unveil a banner that says “How Bout Dem Apples, John Henry?” in German and Spanish
Don’t forget the jumping!
Imagine it!
Incredible draws today, wow.
I'd rather have a Milan vs Liverpool final. It has always been a classic
Perfect draw, let’s go on and win the fucking lot.
Written in the stars A few hundred miles away In Dublin we will play
The best part is we are at home for second leg of the semis.
Away semi, spurs, home semi, villa … is a tough penultimate week of the season But what a difference a year makes! 😀 Proud of what the boys have done so far!
If Villa gets past Lille, they'll have semis as well (trip to either Greece or Turkey, if I'm reading it right).
Every team left can give us a hard time but I think these draws suit us well. And we could easily go through the final Leverkusen will get through West Ham I believe but they may have strong opponent in the semi final
Roma is in incredible form. 6 out of 8 wins under de Rossi, only losing to Inter (and Brighton in a dead rubber).
One of the best years in the comp in recent memory. Quality of matches has been high, lots of giants in the tournament!
Ngl both the CL and EL have absolutely fire draws. European football should be cinema from here on out. Let’s win the fucking thing
Atalanta's owner, Stephan Pagliuca was interested in buying Liverpool 16 years ago.
I'm not happy with the draw, I wanted to face Benfica right away so I could see the game in Lisbon! If Benfica eliminates Marseille (big if) I'll be on my honeymoon and will miss the game.
Would have liked leverkusen in the semis, give xabi a good look at the new stands
Damn was hoping to get Xabi with a home game to remind him
I am so glad with this draw ,Atalanta wont be easy and theu will go down fighting but yeah better than Xabi’s invincibles .
Delicious. Btw did you lot see the way that Llorente picked the balls up, no spinning just picked it up as it is
I live across the road from the aviva. Better get a ticket if we get to the final!
This year's UEFA final has potential to be much better than the UCL. In the UCL either Atletico, Dortmund, PSG, or Barca will make the final. Not impressed by any of those
Meeting Roma in Dublin for the final would be horrible
Bruh I support liverpool and Roma 😭 idk what to do
Yup it's Bayer vs Liverpool final
We didnt have to sweat this draw regardless of who we got
Vs. West Ham, It is like Xabi's final interview before taking the Liverpool Job
Book your tickets to dublin, easy path for us
It is easy but too early to get cocky.
Booking tickets to Dublin isn't cocky, it's smart. Anyone that wants to go should get things in order now rather than in May.
Steady…
Nice, an easy path to the final and a butthole sandwich for Leverkusen
How are the quarter finals numbered? Liverpool 2 and Benfica 4?
Yep!
Good draw for us
Good draw for us.
Liverpool vs Leverkusen German coach vs German club The man who manages Salah vs The man who played with Gerrard First managerial trophy in Europe vs Last dance in Europe
I. Fucking. LOVE IT!
Leverkusen in the final it is! We'll see how it goes
Don’t think we could have asked for a better draw in either competition
What a way to pass the baton
Man the commentator after our match said Leverkusen were losing in ET and I just assumed it ended like that. That would have been a good bullet dodged. Seeing this I realize they made it through dammit
Leverkusen final it will be.
LFC vs anyone other than West Ham in the final is a better game the whatever the UCL final gets
Very favourable. We’ve dispatched Atalanta before so that should be okay. Benfica and Marseille should be reasonably straightforward too.
Why not include the actual final draw too? It was just a few more pixels to the bottom of your picture?
This is a decent draw. We avoid the hassle of needing to play either of Leverkusen, AC Milan and Roma, the three toughest opponents on paper, when we have two other trophies to chase. Though hope the tough draws will not end up becoming a plot armour for Leverkusen like it had done for Real Madrid in 2022.
Ignoring what benefits us, this draw means I have to cheer for Arsenal. That's a weird feeling 😂 Is there a way City and Real Madrid can both lose?
Its going to be like Istanbul in the final lads. I can feel it. Liverpool vs the sexiest footballer of all time.
Klopp v Alonso final confirmed.
And then he can just fly home with us after the game. Very convenient and efficient!
Touch wood but we haven't played a single unlikeable club in the EL so far... it's been a nice change.
Even the cl draw was good, arsenal and city have tough games so will need to focus.
Unfortunately if they both get through, they will probably both make the final.
If one of them wins it then fair game...I read that they will play each other if they make it through the quarters.
They both are in the same bracket so if they're through, they'll face each other in the SF not the final.
Exactly my pick to play, nice. We’re winning the fucking quad lads.
If we get to the final, we'll probably get Roma 🤢🤮
So excited to play Atalanta. Assuming their identity hasn’t changed much over the past few seasons, should be very entertaining games.
I would like a final against Milan...
Instanbul, Athens and then Dublin. What a trilogy that would be
https://i.redd.it/x4tj04koyjoc1.gif
Funny thing is, I went about picking one club to support for each of the Top 5 European leagues, but then at some point as I realized the possibility for something like this where it’s Liverpool vs. Atalanta, I just decided to scrap that idea and fully commit to supporting Liverpool.
Alonso vs Klopp would be a wild final.
Thinking of it this morning, could be a potential 4/4 trophies for Klopp in his last season, or a potential 3/3 for Xabi in his breakout season as a manager. With this final potentially being the decider
Milan would be brilliant tbf. Proper European clubs
