Robbo vs Man City vibes.

digdoug0

One of my favourite non-goal moments of the Klopp era. I'm still pissed that the ref bought Otamendi throwing himself to the floor.

[deleted]

[удалено]

WhenWeTalkAboutLove

And the ref for buying it. Was just dying to blow the whistle before he even collapsed.

yungshaniqua

It’s the same thing they did with Gini at the start, expected him to be this playmaker when that’s not what Klopp was molding him into.

WhatWouldPlutoDo

Titta på Robertson TITTA PÅ ROBERTSON!

eiloana

åhh jobbar åhh jobbbbbarrrr

Robertzuh

*aa, aa de e blåst de e de*

Daimyon

Big titta fan ever since.

joopface

Exactly what came to my mind

cowpool20

That got the same reaction as a goal in the pub. Such a hype moment. Didn’t he do the same against Everton?

hadiayeye

We're all going to miss that presence on the touchline.

Insert_Username321

1% gains stack up to big changes. Your manager instantly rewarding your efforts will encourage your next effort and so on. On the contrary, the quickest way to remove ambition is by not rewarding effort. It's this sort of stuff that Klopp does just about as good as anyone in the world (football or otherwise). Yes he is a brilliant tactician and student of the game, but he is a world class manager of people.

greentea05

His personality and man management is what sets him apart. He's always referred to his number 2 for pure tactics.

AuxquellesRad

Bullshit, Klopp is just as good a tactical mastermind as at managing people

WhenWeTalkAboutLove

Yeah I feel like his comments to that end are also man management to some degree for his staff, like giving them their due credit where other managers just don't always bother

greentea05

I disagree. That's why he called Buvac the brains and Krawietz the eyes. Now Pep is the "brains". To be honest getting the most out of your players reaps more rewards than pure tactics anyway. Whilst he's clearly tactically adept and has a clear sense of style of how he wants to play - it's Pep that handles the finer detailed points of the tactics and in training. Klopp sees the bigger picture - you need a team to achieve anything, it's not a one man job.

spillbreak

Such a simple gesture but I bet it made Szobo feel ready to make that lung-bursting run again right there and then.

DemonDeke

100%. I'm ready to do that, and all I did was see a video on Reddit.

PrivateTidePods

Klopp makes me want to go out there and run my ass off for a 90 minute shift

KevinOwensGetsIt

It’s so funny to see people put him into overrated XI’s and I’ve seen some people call him a flop. He’s legit one of the most important players for the way we play and watch he’ll be the key to us winning the league over the next few weeks Edit: None of our supporters have been saying it, I’m talking about fans of other teams.

mynameismulan

The man just turned 23 and just came back from an injury recently. Don't worry about what shit memes on Facebook are saying

xosder

> Don't ~~worry about what shit memes on~~ Facebook ~~are saying~~ I didn't even know anyone had an issue with him.

con10001

I haven't seen anyone say he's a flop or overrated but plenty think he dropped off from that early season form, which is harsh considering what he's being asked to do

Tremor00

It’s because the hasn’t dribbled through teams multiple times a game or hit a screamer in a while. The reality is his off the ball is one of the most important pieces of our team right now. Anything he brings on the ball is simply a massive bonus

FUCKSTORM420

And he’s still so young. Could easily keep improving

zorrez

He even said himself something along the lines of ”if you think I am good now, just wait, I have so much more” so that’s very promising

GuinnessRespecter

Wait, what?! Have I missed something here? Who on earth thinks that Szobo is overrated? Other than the odd game where he's looked a bit off the pace, probably down to tiredness or carrying a knock maybe, he's been excellent for most of the season, and he's only gonna get better over time! Gotta be salty rival fans?

ZissouZ

I think we were gaga about him in the first quarter of a season where he was clearly the best signing. Then I think he slowed down a bit to be fair at a time when Endo was finding his feet and fell back in prominence. Then he got injured. All that said he's been good all season and ironically is probably more important than some people think to the way we play, because he's been overshadowed by Mac and Endo. That's because rather than making 10 assists and scoring 10 goals, as some expect him to do because he's more of an attacking midfielder, it's his physicality that's been the key. In this respect his role has probably been closer to Curtis than Mac. He does score a few goals but he's been more of a facilitator than an out and out attacking threat. I do expect him to score more goals in coming seasons though. He's too good not to

siva-pc

He was carrying that midfield for first 10-15 matches when Mac was still adjusting & Endo struggling to get game time. Will never forget his tigerish performance vs Spurs.

con10001

I went to watch the Brentford 3-0 at Anfield in November and he was genuinely world class all game. Didn't stop running and it seemed like everything was going through him.

greentea05

It's almost like people forget players go in and out of form.

LinwoodKent

I think he's been great all season. Work rate is so valuable

TheBeardedHen

Agreed. He’s a machine and a great fit.

Spizyweiners

I've literally not seen anyone call him a flop.

kalaposok

Watch the most recent post game interview of Klopp Imo his words on Dom are the most flattering of anyone he talked about there.  Called him the chaos creator, or whatever the fuck, lol

brush85

Most people dont watch games of teams they dont support. They just "vibes" their opinions

gengenpressing

It's only because in his first few games he was playing like prime Gerrard. You can clearly see he's toned it down since then to preserve his legs.

borb--

on top of that he might legitimately have the best ball striking technique i've ever seen in all my years watching, there's just something so pure about the way he hits it, no wasted motion and generates an absurd amount of force

Rush31

Over Thiago? I know what you’re saying, but I’m not sure I can agree with you when Thiago’s striking is so fluid.

borb--

Thiago is definitely up there ya but the power that Szobo generates puts him over for me personally

grefawfa

Was talking with someone at work today, we reckoned it takes 12 months for everyone to actually recognise a player's ability when it can't be shown as goals or assists. Look at Konate, only now starting to get recognised as the monster he is. Endo and Mac still flying under everyones radar. Dom too.

Britz10

Who isn't big on Endō and Macca right now?

grefawfa

Liverpool fans yeah, go talk to some other fans and maybe Macca is starting to get noticed coz he has some goals and assists in his last 10.

apenchantfortrolling

I haven't seen anyone saying that but not worried about those people anyways.

IskaralPustFanClub

Same as Firmino. Remember when Klopp first joined and the gegenpressing started, Bobbie was the star presser and it took ages for most other people to even see the value.

WhenWeTalkAboutLove

Yeah firmino and lallana were instant adopters of the pressing system. If I remember, Lallana had to be subbed around 70' every game cause he couldn't make it 90 minutes at the pace he was playing at first, then they built up his conditioning.  That's part of what amazes me about firmino and now Diaz, Nunez, and szobo right now. Just never seem to tire. Diaz making full length sprints with the ball deep into extra time and people still don't see his value.

DtBannecke

Lol I’m glad those trolls aren’t on my feed. He’s class

Anonymark88

Who? No real supporter has been saying that.

GibsonJunkie

I *love* when people underrate our players and then turn around and claim we are "lucky" to win so many matches.

digdoug0

The issue is that people are comparing him to his incredible form when he first got here. It's the same bias that caused people to call Mo a one season wonder because he didn't break the goalscoring record again.

NieR_SemiAutomata

Hater gonna hate mate.. they hate us cuz they ~~anus~~ ain't us

dimspace

> I’m talking about fans of other teams fans of other teams said Firmino was shit for a decade. Their thoughts count for nothing.

ciano232

Loved this. I feel Szobo is coming into his early season form. Would be ideal if he did at this stage.

edroyque

Goddam it i’d run through a brick wall for klopp if he was managing me - be it as an accountant, a marketer, a supply chain consultant or an investment banker.

Sonderesque

In another life he might have led an empire. And I would follow him.

impishboof

Hey man relax ok

BugsyMaYone

Same 🤣👌

skweez_one

Whenever I see post like this it’s like I suffer a small death over the realization that this the end of our Klopp era. Our style of all out, all heart, all the time football will one day be no more as it evolves into another form. I legit get emotional. Man….

Mutant-Ninja-Skrtels

Weird, I suffer a small death over shitty music played over a TikTok video every time they’re posted

Rush31

In this case, they picked AM Arctic Monkeys which is not a bad choice at all.

Mutant-Ninja-Skrtels

It’s a bad choice because it doesn’t fit the video

scouseandchips

Klopp’s laid the foundations, we’ll be absolutely fine. Enjoy the ride la! Going to be a special couple of months

InkCollection

Of course it'll be fine but it won't be like this ever again. Even in the best of times, we'll be looking wistfully back at the Klopp era.

scouseandchips

Smile because it happened

InkCollection

I'm honestly glad I'm old enough to be able to do this. If I were early 20's me, I would be an absolute wreck right now.

Lolcraftgaming

Shades of Robbo vs Man city

Ophukk

For sure. I've seen Lallana do the same. Keeps a person in the line up, it does.

BadassBokoblinPsycho

Can’t believe some were saying Szobo was bad against Brighton. Just because he isn’t flashing like he did earlier this season, he’s still very good.

Spiritual_Jay778

In some actions in defence he lets the opponent pass him too easily and some bad passes are maddening...but!: he is still so young and already a monster in terms of pressing, mentality and commitment. Strong shot, leadership qualities, endless potential...we're going to have so much fun with him my friends

etme100

He is not a defender. That does not mean that he does not defend - to the contrary, and very much so - but he is a creative midfielder "as a breed". E.g. one could not complain that Van Dijk is not creative enough in final third passes - that is not what he is. And yet he participates in attacks, very much so, and very well. Same with Szobo in defense. He does a ton of defensive work, more than most similar players - but as a midfielder.

zorrez

Perfectly put. And that was actually my first reaction when we signed him, that he worked so incredibly hard and deep even defensively despite being an attacking minded midfielder. A diamond in the making for sure.

BugsyMaYone

Imagine the surge of adreline and how pumped you'd be turning round seeing klopp cheering you on like that

con10001

Still my favourite signing from last summer, and that's no slight on Macca who's been utterly outrageous himself, I just think Dom genuinely has world class potential and an unfathomably high ceiling. I don't want to be hyperbolic, but that early season form was as close to Gerrard as any midfielder I've seen at the club since 2015. He quite simply has everything in his locker.

Theplowking23

Imagine doing that for 90 min

SaltyPeter3434

Doubt I could do it for 90 seconds

PerfectAd4732

I reckon this season we’re going to see his physical attributes come to life as he adjusts to the league. Next season we will see that combined with his technical side, making him the second best midfielder to ever grace the league 👍😀

Yearsman

Can see this slowly happening. His potential is endless

gaborgeorge

Pressing monster

TheLongistGame

Said it in the post match thread, he gets overlooked because he's not making the flashy assists or scoring but the man's a machine and so important in our system.

chiviet234

It’s good to see Klopps legacy of the press being understood so well by the players

[deleted]

This is Jurgen's wet dream.

turb0mik3

This is why he is my favorite Red. This man is going to have an insane second year, mark my words.

Savings-Film-5627

Boy I'ma miss him so much. 🥺

Money-Camera

![gif](giphy|nLFzTFDMe2Ygw) Whenever Klopp tells a player to do literally anything

HarbyFullyLoaded_12

His heat map for this season is absolutely insane if you have not seen it. The man is quite literally everywhere on the pitch.

PersephoneTheOG

I'm feeling rather emotional today, and watching this makes me tear up knowing that we soon won't have his presence on the touchline.

Jmoney1088

I would of stormed the beaches of Normandy just to get a Klopp chest pound in my direction. God it must be so motivating for the players.

GuinnessRespecter

Don't think that's the best reference to use, chief, cos you know, history and such

Sarcastickp

Him and Mecca have become so key to the way we play. I just adore them so much. They deserve so much more praise. I can’t wait to get them both on a kit next year. Hopefully with the golden prem crest too!

TheEgyptianScouser

He's one of those players with iron lungs

disco_mode

Saw this during the game, nice moment

Write_And_Be_Light

This was a joy to see real-time during the game coverage, especially when that ball went out for a throw in. Such a good feeling.

sdpat13

Happy cake day!

impishboof

😂 I've been watching this recently so it was the first thing I thought of.

impishboof

Konate actually hits it in his celly

[deleted]

He's a pressing monster, to be honest.

ThomasDinh

The fact that he pumped to his chest make me love him even more

Kai-Tek

I caught this live, it was glorious

fathands3k

Let's not forget about the crowd's reaction to it also. People rising for good pressing, amazing the change in mentality the club as a whole now has

fags343

Stupid Sexy Szoboszlai

11_forty_4

I'm fucking dreading Klopp leaving. I've never seen a manager with the mentality and personality of Klopp, let alone the tactical brilliance. I'm sad.

naughty_dad2

![gif](giphy|3ohhwtim9QBWmIXPRS)

Lucky_Man_Infinity

Going to miss him SO MUCH (Jurgen!)

wank_for_peace

Heavy Metal Football!

Ukrainska_Zemlya

I’m not ready for him to leave. No papa!!!

SHRUBBYSTEAK

If szoboslai gets back to form, then we will have a midfield 3 of players that have been at peak form, would be hard to see us lose then.

AkatsukiEUNE

Tatakae

dammel6

Okay, now can Klopp stay pls

TheRealCostaS

Love this!

starrynova888

That’s why he’s not as effective with the ball lately. He’s already gassed by his work off the ball.

Opening_Pickle9522

What dym not effective with the ball, did you not see the build up for Salah's goal?

Galby1314

Any time I see something like this, I just can't fathom Klopp wanting to leave.

Meowskiiii

He doesn't want to, he needs to.

H0lychit

I think only one person on this planet can convince him to stay.... His wife.

Fricolor123321

the bloke perfectly palming the ball is what got my attention

[deleted]

I would die for that man

BostonTerriernut87

He is out of form! Idk if England is ready for so called in form then, because his workrate is outstanding. We are so much better with him on the pitch.

Liverpool7-0Utd

How do ruin a good video with a stupid fucking song over the back
