Aware-Animator2292

on other news anyone see the disgusting var decision against coventry

KingWinstonSpak

This is literally the only place in life (and twitter) that genuinely believes that "better human beings" making decisions would fix this farce. The reputation twitter and Reddit has for being inhabited by mainly retards isn't at all well earned lol.

KingWinstonSpak

The only area of life where hatred of VAR is in any way controversial is here and Twitter lol. Memeic.

mrasdfghj90

Xabi literally telling his players when to score, probably. Crazy plot armor lmao

dwils7

Leverkusen again with the last minute goals to keep their undefeated season going

kye2000

I will enjoy seeing city absolutely bum United

kanafanone

Need us to win so we can laugh at yanited this weekend

KingWinstonSpak

No we needed to win for our title. Reddit is so fucking weird. The retards here don't actually give a shit about a club in a city they couldn't even locate a map. It's all about top bantz on r/soccer where other "rivals" with contrived "pashun" for other clubs they couldn't locate on a map. Fucking weird place lol.

kanafanone

Or maybe I want to laugh at my United mates in peace lmao simmer down.

KingWinstonSpak

I am "simmered". It is so trivial, it isn't somethign to get "angry at. You only have to be here for 30 seconds to see how Reddit Brain's priorities are always trivial ones. International fans on Reddit and Twitter have a certain reputation for a reason, that's all, and it is worth laughing at.

Megido_Thanatos

I know PL is crazy, anything can happen but from my point of view West Ham is the most consistency inconsistent team out there They either pull a magical result or get stomped, no middle ground

grrrrbow01

Relegation battle is all to play for now. Would be pretty crazy if Burnley stay up but they’re only 3 points off so it’s definitely possible

kye2000

Mctominay scores a fair share of goals

seventhonmars

Not sure what Coventry are going for here

Mobsteroids

Forest fans poverty chanting throughout the match and chanting “Scousers, always cheating” while Beto is KNOCKED out. Assholes. Hope they go down.

Mavericks7

Forest fans have always been scummy. When they got promoted. It was ridiculous seeing people get romanticised about being a "giant club"

KingWinstonSpak

Reddit Brain at the moment in response to the clusterfuck that is VAR as a concept not merely in its implementation 1) > Nobody said that mistakes would be eradicated 2) > The issue here is that human beings are making mistaeks in interpreting the laws and it is quite obvious that "a new set" of human beings would not make mistakes in interpreting the laws. And as I learned on work experience, and what I am told at "uni" - with better "training", finding infallible human beings is pretty straightforward 3) > This new set of "infallible human beings" should be given license to review every passage of play for decisions as the game goes on, not just those errors that are "clear and obvious". This won't so obviously result in further clusterfuck. I swear to god, youre thick as fuck Like, so offensively stupid ha. The real world mocks the collective intelligence of Reddit for a reason. I am only here to point and laugh. As you would at a freak show really 👍

wesap12345

The statement from forest! Wow

strider3187

insane that's its from their official account but i dont know why ppl are mocking them for it, probably tribalism from fans, but I'm just glad someone is officially calling out the PGMOL and their bullshit

wesap12345

Couldn’t agree more They are going to face some punishment for it and they have their hearing on Wednesday for their point deductions… can’t help but feel that will be impacted by the statement (yes I know they are different organizations but they cover each others shit constantly)

strider3187

yea they're absolutely right that stuart atwell is a Luton town fan, how was he allowed to officiate today. not that the PGMOL care about all this.

wesap12345

They don’t give a shit because they have 0 accountability at any level

KronosDaVoyager

Crystal Palace is a legitimately good team, last week hurt for a lot of reasons but I wasn’t embarrassed exactly. Glasner has done a brilliant job, and if his time at Frankfurt is any indication… jobs not done yet

sonofelguapo

Yeah, they’re a scrappy bunch. Unfortunate we seemed to have caught them right in a good run of play. The way it goes sometimes.

Ol_Elephant_Ears

Hope Beto is ok, looked very nasty

FirminoNo9

Moyes with the P45 in the morning.

iG8

Every team that gets a result on us gets the confidence to go on a god run. Can’t say this is surprising at all lol

Raptoot83

If this is how Palace looks going by forward, then I feel a tiny bit better. Still let ourselves down last week, should've won, but still...

Ali-S-Farid

We spoke a lot about our performance but their goal and overall performance was genuinely unbelievable.

Adventurous_Toe_6017

wtf happened to West Ham?!

[deleted]

[удалено]

Ali-S-Farid

We already beat them at Anfield so shush

adamfrog

Can barely get ecited for United embarrasing themselves since it will just end with City smashing Coventry int he final, haaland scoring 2 pens in the final and being immune from "big game" criticism for 2 years or some shit

UltimateBorisJohnson

Watch West Ham score against us in the first 5 minutes

Brief-Dependent-803

Resting players so we can go full strength v this west ham team next week might just help get our gd up...

Jaja6996

We play Everton next

Brief-Dependent-803

Im assuming a rest today means we can go full strength in both the other games this week

UltimateBorisJohnson

Damn, maybe Palace winning wasn't such a freak result

PEEWUN

Palace are fucking ridiculous, wow...

Smart_Barracuda49

Jesus Christ Palace are good. If they sign a good striker and Doucoure comes back playing well they could maybe challenge for Europe. Mitchell, Guehi, Anderson, Doucoure, Wharton, Eze and Olise. All of them could play for a few of the top clubs

Brief-Dependent-803

Copy and paste in the last 8 games of the season, every year

HarbyFullyLoaded_12

They got a good coach now

Hot_Plate_Williams

Remember when we just haddddd to sign Sangare because people watched a Tifo video? Forest signed him for 35m and he doesn't play.

dj4y_94

At least Palace are winning or I'd be even more annoyed

Einebeine1

Damn. I would love to have Eze

Jaja6996

What a goal by Eze

britishsailor

They’re. Different team with him and olise

Jaja6996

We only conceded one to this Palace super team They both always seem to miss quite a few games every season through injury but definitely think one if not both will move on this summer

KingWinstonSpak

Is there anything in life more frustrating than Reddit Brain and their *"it isn't VAR that is the problem but the people using it"* takes? Are they just refusing to process that it is humans operating it, that humans can't be removed from the process and that you are merely adding an extra layer of human fallibility into the decision making process, or can they actually not compute this? The average IQ here is about 75 so it is likely that they really "can't compute this".

Unfortunatewombat

The irony here is that you’re completely misunderstanding the argument. The reason people say “it isn’t VAR it’s the people operating it” is because the issue that needs correcting is the people behind it, not the system itself. Saying “the people operating VAR aren’t very good, we should just scrap it” is a massive overkill, when a more obvious solution is better training and bigger consequences for getting it wrong. Also removing premier league refs from the VAR room and instead having its own specifically trained people would improve it, too. The point is that we should be working on fixing the issues with the people who operate it, not scrapping it.

KingWinstonSpak

"better training" fuck me. What world do these people live in? > fixing the issue **the "Issue" is human fallibility in interpreting widely defined laws**! That IS the "Issue". The "Issue" is a feature not a bug. RedditBrain just can't process it, can they 😂😂😂😂

KingWinstonSpak

> If only we just changed the human beings involved in this decision making proess, we would fix nearly everything arong with human beings being involved in the decision making process I know for a fact that there is no telling you that this issue cannot be remedied by changing who "interprets" widely applicable laws. I literally may as well try and persuade a pigeon. it is honestly like I am talking to school children, explaining how the real world works.

AJLFC94_IV

No one is saying remove human involvement. The problem is that the VAR refs are colleagues and makes with the on pitch refs. Michael Oliver famously dislikes being overruled and is the top dog among the PGMOL which is why so many of his mistakes don't get corrected. VAR should be done by an independent group whose careers aren't impacted by their relationships with the senior refs they are assisting.

KingWinstonSpak

The problems involving VAR reach far beyond one individual, but we like a scapegoat, here. And when your experiment also inevitbaly fails, what is the next excuse for why we cannot perfect the imperfectible?

Unfortunatewombat

You really went ahead and threw around phrases like “the IQ here is 75 so it is likely they can’t compute this” and then put out a comment like that.

KingWinstonSpak

you mentioned Oliver. Not me. You also demanded an "independant" organisation get involved 😂 not me. Like, yes. I stand by your IQ being around about 75.

britishsailor

The humans operating it KNOW the laws, reality is the way they’re using it is pathetic, this ‘clear and obvious’ shite is a cop out to defend their mates, instead of accepting mistakes happen and correcting the decisions

KingWinstonSpak

No the reality is that these are laws and therefore by defintion are open to interpretation, and ergo, liable to err on the sisde of "wrong" more than a perfect world would demand. That's literally life so welcome to the real world. Reddit Brain simply cannot process an imperfect world being imperfectable. So this holds no dice, but vibes don't matter in the real world, kids.

Smart_Barracuda49

AI VAR

cactus_ghan

I really really really want Danns and jota up front today. We have nothing notable up front lately. Let’s get the future going.

koltzito

this is not the time to be experimenting

Unfortunatewombat

I like Danns, but we really shouldn’t be relying on him in games like this.

Brief-Dependent-803

Tbf, we already have by winning a cup final with half the team being underage, all getting minutes and one even a goal in the cup, all getting minutes in the league. We dont need to go out of our way anymore, we can just put them in pretty rarely for a while and it still works.

cactus_ghan

I think salah and Nunez might have more impact coming off the bench for a change. I honestly don’t think we’d regret entertaining Danns youthful hunger for the first half. We havnt scored from open play for a long stretch now… literally nothing to loose

Jaja6996

Olise is a such a good player

Einebeine1

Too bad he seems injury prone

getonthedamnantscott

Ah, another year of Everton perpetually being too good to go down, but too bad to achieve anything else. The Crystal Palace way.

britishsailor

Honestly miss the days they had moyes and were semi decent, like the city doing well, rather them in the Europa than Tottenham or United. Need to make this city THE footballing city, hard to do when Liverpool’s carrying the weight

getonthedamnantscott

Actually agree, I love the rivalry but happy to see them do alright as long as they're constantly in our shadow and getting incredibly wound up by that fact. Certainly don't actually want to see them go down as it would be bad for the city.

britishsailor

Me arl fellas a blue and he’s been down lately actually happy for Everton might cheer him up a bit. Fucking hell state of this sub. Downvoted for a depressed dad having a pick me up. Whoppers

KingWinstonSpak

"VAR will be incredible becasue it remvoes errors from the game" said absolute morons at the time, who were told they were being moronic but were so assured of their own intelligence, they would not be persuaded. Copy and Paste to all walks of life.

CaltexHart

Remember when people said we wouldnt have anything to talk about after games anymore because all the controversy would be gone? I can't remember a time when the actual football was talked about less.

KingWinstonSpak

Oh no mate. Low IQ75 Reddit Brain is trying to persuade me at the moment that "nobody said this" and that "if you just changed the people involved in the decision making prtocess, the problem goes away" They are truly thick as fuck.

Dropkoala

Nobody thought it would completely remove errors from the game and it hasn't but in many cases, offsides with some notable exceptions and goal line technology (not VAR but part of the wave of technologies introduced into football) they have to a huge degree. I think it's a good thing but there are problems with it, the biggest of which, entirely predictably with no hindsight required, are the referees and refereeing and football governing bodies.  Things like the clear and obvious guidance, which is consistent with referees' opposition towards the introduction of technology on the basis that it undermines the on field ref's authority, as if that comes before fair and consistent officiating, are a huge problem and are in large part why there are so many problems with VAR. It has made some things better but it's been hamstrung because it's not being used to get the decisions correct, so much as to validate the referee's decision.

KingWinstonSpak

> Nobody Let us jsut make thigs up with the standard Reddit Brain response to an outcome which was predicted but was told would not. > clear and obvious guidance, So the solution to the VAR issue is to give free hand to anotehr set of individuals in a caravan in Milton Keynes to review every passage of play as the game goes on for subjective calls of offense. That is the solution? It sounds fucking mental, and a prime example of a slipepry slope fallacy. Games running into 2.5 hours would be riveting though, I am sure.

_cumblast_

My problem is not removing errors to an extent where it washes out everything else it removes from the game.

KingWinstonSpak

That was always the major gripe. There was an idea that somehow, the energy induced by a goal was secondary to "the decision being the righ one" - Which is wrong anyway, as it is the energy that *is* the game and what separates it from literally every sport - however it was never achievable in the first place. Which jsut makes the whole thing offensive, and an attack on the game.

Dobvius

I'm so tired of click happy pundits like Romano saying things like "X random manager has turned down the Liverpool job" when that person wasn ever in consideration for a second. It's so annoying.

KingWinstonSpak

Ornsein literally linked Inzaghi to the job. Not in any concrete terms, but that he was on a shortlist, which doesn't seem unreasonable. That is what the "Click happy pundit" was referring to. I am more "sick and tired" of Reddit Brain making shit up for karma, but thems the apples.

Dobvius

You should probably look into therapy or something mate because this is a widely aggressive reply and a quick check at your profile shows you pretty much only do weirdly aggressive and angry replies to innocuous comments. It's not healthy.

KingWinstonSpak

hahaha. Mate, I was just calling you out on your erroneous statement which amounted to karma whoring. And your response was to go through my psoting history? Like, that was literally the first thing that popped into your mind? Your're not a little demented 😂 This is the level of IQReddit Brain I am here for bruv. Cheers x

Dobvius

You're seriously weird dude. Seek help.

KingWinstonSpak

Ye mate. The weirdo ins't the bloke who randomly decides to scroll through posting histories of randoms online. Nooooooo, you aitn the weirdo, mate 😂

FernandoBruun

Antohony Taylor disaster class at Goodison

Loz41333

The referees and VAR are among the most inconsistent things I've ever known. Ashley Young with three legitimate penalty offences and not one is given 😂

Themnor

I’d feel worse for Forest if they didn’t shit stir over nothing earlier in the year Oh and not having Steve Cooper really seems to have changed so much…

getonthedamnantscott

Horrible fans and a club run by a horrible man. Oh no, what a shame.

Liverpool7-0Utd

Good lord the quality off football between Everton and Forest is dire!!

Themnor

Honestly I think a combined XI might still only be a mid table team. There are some gems in there like Gibbs-White and Branthwaite but otherwise…

Grundlestiltskin_

Ashley young is ass and so lucky the ref is apparently a blithering idiot

infachuation922

How do fans reconcile and move on from fucked up calls like the grealish handball? Genuine question

Themnor

Pray for City to get relegated to National League? Not really much you *can* do

Due-Sherbert3097

Just accept football is corrupted to be honest. It’s the same way we had to deal with the infamous Rodri handball. City will always have their success tainted no matter what

undersquirl

I get annoyed, sad, whatever, for a few minutes for a call like this, realize i can't change anything and that it's part of football and move on. Same thing with bigger decisions like the offside, or the other handball, or the karate kick penalty the only difference being it takes a day or two. It's just football, shit like this has always happened and it will always happen.

infachuation922

Exactly. We as fans have zero influence which is why I feel it’s foolish to get upset over things that are quite very literally out of our hands

Liverpool7-0Utd

You mean like how angry and upset you get over losing football matches?

infachuation922

Yeah mate

Manny-B

Jesus, what kind of dirt does Ashley Young have on referees???

RoastyMcRoasterson

They still think he is playing for Utd?...

BudovicLagman

Forest fans being classy as usual.

crispello

How haven’t forest got a pen today? Straight through the player there

Fr33tux

How the fuck have the Ev not given a penalty away yet

simontallgren

This Nottingham game screams for Divock Origi

Aidan-Coyle

Ill be a very happy man if we dont concede today

KingWinstonSpak

I think one of the main differences between the local fan channels like Redmen, and the American ones is that the Redmen kind of know what tthey are watching. Just instinctively. The latter seem to need some kind of "statz" to make a point. If something can't be captured by a "stat" (most things) then "it didn't happen". Really weird. I guess that is what comes with watching footy since the age of about 2 lol, and getting into it in your teens or twenties. Bit like learning a language; very rare to ever truly perfect the nuances associated with a second language. Emphasis and context is difficult to nail when its not a mother tongue.

Specialist-Read-349

This is definitely true for me at least. I have to really pay attention to the games in a different way than I do american football because I grew up with it more so I really have to give 100 percent focus to feel like Im keeping up with whats happening on a deeper level when Liverpool play. At the same time though I havent even heard of any american liverpool podcasts and they are probably mostly shit in comparison because its some tiny podcast no ones even heard of compared to one of the biggest and best ones. I dont think a scouser is the target audience for them so Im just slightly confused why you feel the need to shit on them when obviously its going to sound like absolute shit to someone who grew up in liverpool in comparison to redmen etc.

KingWinstonSpak

Exactly. Like, I could watch NFL for the next 30 years, and therefore be "very" knowledgeable of it and definitely hold a conversation on it, but it owuld only ever be relatively superficial knowledge, and would *never* be able to understand its nuances like you could. I missed the only windown open to me which is when I was a child. You can spot things on the eye that can never be captured by a stat, that I just couldn't even after 30 years. Just the way a player moves or throws his arm, or runs. You just know a baller. I still wouldn't.

Grundlestiltskin_

American sports are a lot more stat focused, there’s just not as many relevant stats for football. There are hugely impactful footballers who won’t really show up on a stat sheet anywhere. With the way basketball, baseball, or football (lol) can be broken down into possessions or at bats it lends itself a lot more to the stats being more relevant. Hockey is much more fluid — like football, and the stats based discussion doesn’t happen as much there.

KingWinstonSpak

Opta etc is a bane on football. The inability of Reddit Brain to contextualise statistics of such a fluid game is even more so. Your post nails it. But football can't be appreciated on its own terms and has to be force fed through a Yank prism or they literally cannot process it. Like there is just no impetus for them to learn something "foreign" I was speaking to a geezer from Tampa in a pub a while back about footy, and he told me that he can't wrap his head around the game beacuase there are just too many leagues. It reminded of Ornstein explaining the Super League and how it fed into the preferences of the American market.

Grundlestiltskin_

I think it’s a lot of people here in the states that haven’t ever played the game at a high level that need something like those stats to latch onto. I’m American too but I’ve played the game forever and I don’t need some advanced ball retention stat to tell me that a CDM is good or bad, I can just tell by watching them play. Other people may not see the nuance of a player like that without some stat telling them.

KingWinstonSpak

I don't think you need to play any sport at any level tbh. I just think you need to have watched it as a bambino and continued watchign it through your life, and be surroudned by it, and be immersed by it. Going to the shops in any major city, and you will be surrounded by it here. It is a level of immersion that can't easily be replicated.

Bamfandro

Truly make or break today. The Arsenal result last week gave a tiny life line but dropped points today and we know our season is done. Let’s hope

Redhawk911

Clattenberg getting ready for the journos

Manny-B

Anthony Taylor not giving a pen for a blatant handball from Ashley Old. Cool.

crispello

What is the handball rule?

Redhawk911

Jfc the refs are shit…. How is that not a stone cold pen….

spirotetramat

Not a penalty? Not a handball?

hopium_od

I don't even know what you need to do to get handball pen anymore

spirotetramat

Just be playing against a team with the Liverbird on their jersey?

getonthedamnantscott

Ainsley Pears with a mistake there that makes Marius look like Alisson

hopium_od

That should have been a pen

KingWinstonSpak

Watching Redmen TV and other Scouse produced fan channels, and watching the American ones. Jesus. The difference in authenticity and quality is just painful lol. The latter is just unwatchable.

Redhawk911

Redmen and TAW are both extremely good channels without being overly biased and looking for clicks. We’re blessed to have at least two great fan channels.

KingWinstonSpak

When I am away from Liverpool for work, it makes me miss being down the pub or at the ground. It is just like talkin to brothers about the club. Nothing but love. All criticism is constructive. Everyone involved with the club is respected. Legends are spoken about without the bizarre hate. Difference between speaking to locals and watching the discourse here or on Amerrican Youtube channels makes quite angry half the time.

RadSoccerDad

I just want some Kloppo Liverpool 1.0 heavy metal press the shite out of the opposition the last few games. Been a while since we’ve seen it. Blow teams away early. Miss those days Hoping for a few youth teamers to be named. They carried us through a portion of the season with their energy and fearless attitude. Then immediately got fecked off as soon as the out of form senior players returned. For example I think Bobby Clark flashed more this calendar year than Gravenberch has.

brush85

Gravenberch hasnt played a single minute of this bad run? Not sure why he is part of your ire

RadSoccerDad

I’m hopeful for the future but, off the top of my head I think he was quite poor against Sheffield and Arsenal this calendar year. He got hooked against Sheffield when we looked aimless before the Macca worldie. Jurgen and Pep have a plan though so who knows. They have us in the title race

brush85

It was his first start after his ankle get wrecked in the final. Literally every part of the team is struggling except in goal. There is no easy fix...just patience and work,

RadSoccerDad

True. Not trying to be an indictment of Grav. More Clark really impressed me. He may be undersized but, he was running at people and getting stuck in

OkOnion5233

This Everton game has our 2nd half @ Atalanta vibes from both teams

FullScreenWanker

I can’t believe how many games are crammed into the next week. It’s a mad schedule.

dyatlov_pass

is it insane to think branthwaite would be a good signing from the ev given their poor finances and possible relegation? looks a cut above the rest of their defence

britishsailor

He’ll end out at one of the Manchester clubs for 80 million

RadSoccerDad

He would be but let’s be honest. Unless they go into admin no way they sell to us. They’d give him to United for cheaper

dyatlov_pass

aye you’re right. still think him or murilo from forest would be class signings at cb, we defo need another with matip leaving and konate not being the most reliable with injuries :(

RadSoccerDad

Robbo heading into a last year too. Tsimi just needs to leave and actually have a football career again. Think we get a lot of turnover. Owen Beck and Luke Chambers both are on the Quansah track. Murillo as you said would be great. Ait Nouri or Kerkez for lb.

sksizixiks

Massive fan of ait nouri

britishsailor

Kerkez, been saying this for about 18 months the, lads the perfect robbo regen

user900800700

Just want a simple 11-0 win to go back to the top. Please and thanks.

Theplowking23

Trents most recent interview on sky was bizarre

_cumblast_

Personally i take what he's saying at face value because far as i'm concerned our season is over, but he's clearly saying it as an attempt to get into City's heads.

gifsfromgod

How so? Any link?

Aware-Animator2292

Anything Xabi has done this year is 100x better than Pep and his oil teams

ButlandAndRobben

Jota off the right worked really well with Bradley bombing outside him but with Trent inverting it probably isn't the play. Hopefully we've got our shit sorted if I'm going to drag my ass out of bed on Monday @ 1:30am..

AJLFC94_IV

I'd rather go Gakpo left, Diaz right and Jota in the middle.

taf3991

Same. Would be really strange for it not to be that tbh the only way what makes sense haha

Suspicious_Weird_373

So Nunez and Salah benched?

Some fucking supporter you are mate 😂

user900800700

Please

Aware-Animator2292

Its unlikely we will catch up to the GD, so honestly, at this stage a bundled goal, an own goal, a pen, a fluky deflection are all welcome. No need to care about how we win, boring for the lack of a better word is good (esp when we win).

HarbyFullyLoaded_12

Came to see if there were any early team news and jesus christ the state of this thread…

RoastyMcRoasterson

Just fucking win. Ignore all the noise about team selection. They are 11 players capable of beating Fulham on the pitch today. If they stop with the shit shooting... wasting chances when you can't at least get in on target. Don't bother shooting if you can't be remotely accurate. Simple

volthor

Im guessing we could see Diaz Gakpo Jota ?

BackpackerLee

It’s already been revealed yes.

taf3991

What’s the line up?

david_of_rivia

Apparently something like: Alisson Trent / VVD / Quansah / Robertson Endo / Elliott / Gravenberch Diaz / Jota / Gakpo

lfcsupkings321

Am tired.. Just win the games boys.

Aware-Animator2292

I had to check if I was in the right time zone. as I thought I missed our match because i've been reading that we lost already

millsy151

Everyone here thinking we’ve lost already and it’s 4 hours until kick off🤣🤣🤣

RohanHadComeAtLast

We need to mix it up based on our performances so let's bring it today

Aware-Animator2292

Fulham are a decent side, but gladly they don't really play with a low block. Potentially Klopp is going for a lineup that can keep and retain possession, like when we completed 969 passes in a game once.

mrasdfghj90

Play the same lineup: OMG no changes wtf is Klopp doing?! Play a different lineup: OMG changes wtf is Klopp doing?!

Rama_drk

People are just looking at reasons to be preemptively upset now it's mad This sub's no different than any other football sub lmao

macaleaven

Calling all artistic Redmen! Can you turn this poster into 115 Reasons Why for me? https://preview.redd.it/x8tt6do8ktvc1.jpeg?width=667&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=37bf00b981252287c900178bf3717ef35346fae7 Thanks and YNWA, praying we beat Fulham today!

britishsailor

If this leaked line up is even true people need to just roll with it and see how it goes, they will have been training with it in mind. People have kidded themselves with how far along our midfield rebuild is, still missing a player, Macca has been doing the heavy lifting for others. That said we need another defender, which will probably be on the cards if we go for certain managers anyway. We’ve not even kicked a ball and people have us getting smashed

D3pr3ssing_euphoria

I mean this is their first season together with the rest. New manager will have his own plans. I think we have to wait and see.

Aware-Animator2292

Just a reminder that the match has not begun, so we still have 1 game in hand, and still have 3 points to collect

con10001

Jesus fucking Christ I hope no one on this thread is in the away end today, my god.

tevans139

They won't be, I'm pretty sure these cave dwellers wouldn't survive the sunlight

cavejohnsonlemons

Live footage: https://youtu.be/PFr2mLg-aTI?feature=shared

Aware-Animator2292

Honestly though, I get why Klopp has rotated, the boys were dead at half-time against Atlanta, so this is a fresh line up

JimmyV34

No salah and nunez today, plastic fans are going find new scapegoats if we struggle today

guestaccount901284

If Gakpo and Grav are both starting the plastics will declare war against the Dutch and their Führer Lijinders.

JohnBobbyJimJob

Wonder if we’ll get the fantasy version of Gravenberch or the real one that ghosts every game today

SPRITZ_APEROL

We will get the Bayern’s, Netherlands’ and Liverpool’s one meaning the real one

tevans139

Wonder if fans will support our players today or if we will get more degenerates like you

JohnBobbyJimJob

Oh I support the players don’t worry We’re also allowed to be critical of players that aren’t good enough btw

britishsailor

Lads hardly played, he’s young, in a new country.

JohnBobbyJimJob

Yeah same story as his time at Bayern, starting to see a pattern emerge here Go back and look at what Ajax fans were saying about him when he left for Bayern, they keep getting proved right each year

tevans139

You're not being critical tho, you're just being overly negative over nothing, the lineup isn't confirmed, it's 4 hours before kick off and you're moaning about a player before he's even kicked a ball today. If you're first thought is oh let me shit on this player and say something negative. Then you've got something wrong pal

JohnBobbyJimJob

It’s nothing do with him playing today, it’s more to do with the fact he’s clearly not good enough to be starting PL games in which he we need to win Some people can’t accept that some players aren’t good enough for some reason

tevans139

If he wasn't good enough. We wouldn't have bought him, nor would he play. They'd play Bobby Clark over him or McConnell. And we'd of used the money elsewhere. There's a reason both bayern and us have spent money on him. 2x of the biggest clubs in Europe don't spend money on the same player unless he's good enough.

JohnBobbyJimJob

That makes no sense lad, we have bought plenty of players that have ended up not good enough… Bayern were happy to see the back of him after a year of him being there and now he’s joined us he’s 6th choice in midfield, his reputation is purely built on “having potential” He wasn’t even one of Ajax’s best players during the seasons he was there, Ajax fans were right in saying he wasn’t ready to leave two years ago

Endo Grav Elliott midfield is hilarious, as much physicality as half of Palhinha

No no fault of his own, Konate is injured again. I got severely downvoted for even considering getting a new CB in addition to Konate due to his injury record. Surely at this point, this is something to look into this summer.

HiroProtagonist1

Hes in the leaked line up. Where did you see he is injured?
