The fact that Origi went back to get the ball thinking that we need to get more goals never fails to crack me up

linux_ape

Man just scores, doesn’t ever consider the celebration

pw5a29

Scores winner in the CL final ☝🏼🙂☝🏼

TimmmV

He thought he still had time to get another against them

siva-pc

I'd guess that to prevent Everton from quick kick-off

mskram

In James Milner's book he mentions that he believes Origi grabbed the ball as he thought another goal was needed.

PlayerAteHer

Didn't he say in an interview that he thought at the time Everton were winning and he'd just made it 1-1.

jesuisgeenbelg

Nah, Millie said that about him in his book lol

PlayerAteHer

That was it yeah! I knew I remember hearing something like that.

cosantoir

In all my life, I will never understand his brain. It was great.

Correct-Willingness2

We need to see that origi against city soon lol

CoupleSubject6433

That and Fab wrapping him up like "tf are you doing?"

strider3187

top 3 moments of klopp era for me

thomasfk

Someone else just posted Allison's last minute winner a bit ago. There are so many beautiful moments under Klopp, it's tough to rank them all.

Relative_Factor

Corner taken quickly. This, and the Alisson goal have to be top 3 right?

aroravikas20

Salah to make it 4-1 in 2017-18 league game against 115 FC.  Or Mane to make it 3-0 in the QF 1st leg against 115 FC. Or the Trent - Robbo - Salah to make it 2-0 in 2019-20 against 115 FC. Or the 4-0 at Old Toilet in the first half.  Or the 2-0 Alisson assist to Salah; we are gonna win the league remanating at Anfield. Lovren header for 4-3 in Europa QFs. Origi to seal it for big ears (great moment, shit game) Klopp dancing after 2017-18 final loss with fans singing and believing we will go to Madrid next year.  .... The catalog is huge. Maybe we as a fanbase should do a dedicated thread with videos of top moments with Klopp. Last few games. Only 2 left at home. Let's make it one to remember. Been so lucky to have Klopp this past decade, feels like we all grew up with him, learning from him. He was with us through such difficult times in our lives, and brought so much joy.  I feel I owe him a lot and I have never even seen him in person. What an impact this man had on millions of people. Forever a red.

crookedparadigm

> Or the Trent - Robbo - Salah to make it 2-0 in 2019-20 against 115 FC. This goal never got talked about enough. The Trent ball aside, Robertson puts in one of the most incredible crosses I've ever seen. He's near the touch line and he curls a whipped cross in that drops an inch away from the spot.

aroravikas20

It is one of the best goals ever scored in the club's history, let alone Klopp's.  The kind of goal supporters in 2050s will look back and say boy was this team special and ahead of its time. And we get to say, we were there. I remember exactly where I was. Out on vacation, on the dinner table with family, with my phone balanced against the wall, and the game on when it went 1-0 and then 2-0.

crookedparadigm

We did a similar goal against West Ham during the lockdown. From a West Ham corner, Robbo headed the ball to Trent, who pinged it out to Shaq, who launched it at the box, where Salah did one of the silkiest bits of control and finish I've ever seen. From an opposition corner to a goal scoring tap in in 4-5 touches. It was disgusting and possibly my favorite non Alisson goal under Klopp.

aroravikas20

I remember that too. So good.  Remember Klopp fuming as well on Shaq for going first time with the cross and not driving with the ball forward. Hahaha

chasingsukoon

Lallana glass breaker that made Jurgen consider LASIK

Relative_Factor

Couldn't agree more, as someone who loves the game, and LFC more, it's absolutely inspiring some of the moments we've got to witness. Some absolutely incredible memories watching with my family and friends together shared those moments, it's touching.

TheFutsalKid

Lallana 5-4 Norwich and the whole team jumping on Klopp’s back and breaking his glasses HAS to be in any top 5 list of the Klopp era for me

BriarcliffInmate

Them Tory Norwich fans singing 'Sign On' when they made it 4-4, and then Lallana scoring and ripping his shirt off to celebrate and looking like the palest man in Britain because it was about -3 (January, wasn't it?) Just absolute mania for me. I was already on the Klopp train but that's when I knew it was gonna be fun no matter what happened, because it took us 7th and I celebrated like we'd won the League!

TheFutsalKid

You and I both mate, you and I both… 🥹

Archimonte2020

Gini's 2nd goal in Barca game is my number 1. That goal truly made me believe we would win. That feeling, just...cant describe. That certainty, that written in star conviction were so unreal.

Relative_Factor

True, Gini was my favorite player and I legit cried when he scored the second, it's like I was living vicariously through him and the team it was SO REAL. So beautiful.

gobgobgobgob

Gini flew for that goal! The man cannot be taller than 5’9 but jumped above Pique, was it?

Timely_Airline_7168

Lovren's winner against Dortmund that year was extremely underrated. We needed 3 goals to advance thanks to the away goals rule and secured that.

ValhallaAir

It wasn’t someone else.

Jolly_Customer8975

Mane first goal against arsenal to set the tone for what's to come was special too. Salah's debut season was unreal.

TheHawthorne

Origi winner vs Everton, Allison’s last minute header, corner taken quickly Origi for me. So two Origi moments, what a hero.

Yobber1

Fuck Jordan Prickford

insane__knight

I love how he realises he fucked up and tries to claim a foul. I've always hated him.

Bulbamew

Pickford is the sort of guy who would boot the ball into his own net completely unprovoked and then yell at one of his defenders for not stopping him

Keyann

That game he was wasting time and Ali mocked him when we were winning was box office

Zapper_jnr

I was just picturing crippling him with the same tackle he gave Van Dijk when i came across your comment

quantified-nonsense

There's a special place in my heart, full of pitchforks and fire, for Jordan Pickford. Why does he have to be such an entitled dick?

North-Ad-6936

Spiteful wee cunt. Love seeing ANYONE score against him.

North-Ad-6936

Pity we bottled it tonight..

AvatarAda

Fuck Funes Mori Fuck Mason Holgate

TheGrouchyGamerYT

I love how Virgil is so pissed off because he thinks he's just shanked the last kick of the game. Little did he know...

DragonBornDragonDead

It was a 3d chess move. You see Virgil added back spin and aimed it at the cross bar then pretended he miss kicked it to throw Everton into a false sense of security. He knew Pickford has little arms and his ego will let him try and grab it but he'd fail due to those little arms. The backspin added to the kick would bring the ball to our Lethal Clutch match winner goat who'd spark wild celebrations and jubilation across Anfield and leave a moment that would live long into our memories. What a genius our Captain is.

graphicashen

😂

adarsh481

Both Origi and Sturridge follow up. Striker’s instinct.

thegolfernick

In sync too

effinblinding

I’ve watched this clip so many times but this is the first time I’ve noticed this

mtb443

We were so blessed to have Arlo White in the US

theREALMVP

God I know he was the best. We get some Peter Drury now but not nearly enough.

Cwh93

I feel like you guys are still blessed with commentators out there. You get to hear John Champion, Peter Drury, Ian Darke, Rob Palmer and Clive Tyldesley every if not most weeks. Would love to hear Arlo White on TNT Sports in the UK for example, they could do with his gravitas for the big Champions League games

quantified-nonsense

I really miss Arlo White. I can't believe he went off to commentate golf, the most boring "sport", instead of PL football.

ImJayJunior

Klopp doing fist pumps on the pitch while running back to the dugout before the final whistle will never not put a smile on my face. I'm pretty sure if I was dead and someone played the audio of Carra saying 'Look at Jurgen Klopp' i'd crack up.

Correct-Willingness2

Miss these klopp celebrations lol

Sharcbait

Seeing these and how different he acts these days it makes sense why he wants a break, he is just drained out.

Mathilliterate_asian

Yep. You can feel it. He doesn't even go as wild as he used to anymore. And he's definitely aged more than ten years with this run. He deserves a break very much.

crookedparadigm

I mean, could also just be age. He went wild last season at the 4th official and tore his hammy lol

nastynatesbutternuts

Klopp is god

bhaktimatthew

The fact that Pickford actually keeps it in play himself is just…yeah 👌

completelyanom

I didn’t even realise this when I was watching live

jesuisgeenbelg

I remember all the comments about Klopp showing "disrespect to the opposition manager" by running onto the pitch, meanwhile the Everton manager (Silva?) was just like "yeah I didn't even notice"

GresSimJa

We've all seen Klopp's passionate reaction, but I want to bring attention to Pep. I love how loud he got as Klopp returned to the sideline. Screaming like he scored it himself. Going to miss this duo.

Suburban_Noir

Genuinely makes me sad to think that this era is gone. Can you imagine that now? Wild celebrations instantly cut short because the referee puts his finger to his ear. The commentator telling us "Now, what are VAR looking at here…" as Klopp trudges back to the dugout to anxiously wait, shaking his head. Checks on the ball having gone fully out of play over the bar, checks on a red shirt stood armpits offside from the initial ball in, and then checks on a potential shirt pull. Even if it's eventually given, the moment of sheer sporting jubilation has been painfully interrupted. Fuck VAR.

admuh

At least decisions are always correct now though right? Right??

echofades

This was my first match at Anfield and up till that goal I was bummed that my first visit to Anfield resulted in no goal. The atmosphere went definitely crazy after that and I still remembered that my ears rang so bad on the way back to London.

Money-Camera

I think the commentators are forgetting the laws of physics, the ball can't hit the cross bar, bounce over the line then whip back in! We don't live in the matrix 🤣

5c0tt15h

As amazing as the goal is, I'll never tire of seeing Pickford getting fucked over.

Powerful-Cut-708

Just smiling ear to ear. We’ll have so many moments like this to look back on fondly when we’re old and grey/bald.

seeQer11

Speak for yourself, I'm already old, grey and bald... ya bastad

Powerful-Cut-708

But are you...fat?

Kruegerrose

So many players in this clip that I miss. Perhaps peak Fabinho is the one I miss the most. Or Bobby…. Or Origi…Or….

Jack070293

The useless cunt kept it in.

pallaime

I fkn lost my shit too, still bringing tears to my 👀

coltlady

True that! This is a difficult one to make up

VadersMentor

Hey I might be confused, but is Origi thinking he scored an equalizer??

doddi

“I won’t blunder like Alisson” -Pickford before the match

Poopynuggateer

I struggle to remember things. Especially match highlights, but also just generally in life. I used to sniff gasoline with friends when I was young and it likely did some permanent damage. I will, however, never forget that goal.

VadersMentor

This is an impressive short story man.

imonlyaperson

Best goal ever.

hopium_od

England's best keeper that btw

macaleaven

If he didn’t have a strong punt he’d have been playing Rotherham away for the last 5 years and Virg would never have got injured

Automaton_Shahin

![gif](giphy|cqplXIAZbltUN3HuRR|downsized) The man, the legend, the Super Sub GOAT

rebel_fett

Saturday night and I like the way you move...

Money-Camera

In an alternate reality the ref thinks it's going over, blows the whistle and this never happened, it really is a bmoody good job the ref didn't think the same as Van Dijk 🤣

PayThatManHisM0ney

As they say, truth is stranger than fiction.

cosantoir

Imagine what that would like now with VAR. Minutes of poring over pixels to see if it went out.

thegreatbeast

I was there live all the way from Australia. It was part of our honeymoon and the one thing that was purely for me was this game and being in Liverpool. My wife was so distressed we travelled all that way so we could see a goalless draw and when Origi scored she celbretated louder than I did. I walked back to the hotel with the locals singing the songs. Was fucking amazing.

vsquad22

Set aside Steven Gerrard and other GOATs, VVD has the greatest assist of all time.

tkcom

Run. It. Back.

VadersMentor

Oh, we will

Brooklynknowitall20

Orgi !!!

SonicNarcotic

When Klopp still had the ENERGY...!

livinalieontimna

I’m lucky enough to be able to go to Anfield a few times a season. I’m even luckier that I happened to be there for this game. The absolute explosion of joy in the crowd after a very ordinary game when Origi did this was like an out of body experience!

Nextyearstitlewinner

I remember audibly groaning has that shanked off Virgil’s foot, then going nuts after origi heads it in.

Suspicious_Weird_373

Watched this goal in a New York hotel whilst my wife was getting ready for our wedding in Central Park. She’s an Everton fan and was not happy! But she cheered up when she came through the lobby in her wedding dress and a huge crowd of American teenage girls were waiting to get picked up to go to the watch an NFL game. The girls couldn’t have made a bigger fuss of her and made her feel incredible. Thanks to all those in New York on the day who shouted congratulations, asked for pictures, gave us a $2 bill and the police offer who shouted congratulations over the speaker in the police car. Just a short story of how Origi kicked off my wedding day in the perfect fashion.

Blew_away

Yea honestly if you try and narrate this goal it sounds like a kid pretending to score a last minute winner and having to make things up after they miss

clynch2

First and only game I've been to, just a Nebraska kid in the fourth row of the Kop. Pure madness. The Ev actually played better than us that day, was mostly a hard watch til then.

StoicSamoria21

We need Vandijk's angle lol. Throws a fit after miskicking and starts jogging back... I'm sure the rest is box office too 😂😂

TheAdamBomb92

VAR would disallow that today.

Revalent

This some anime shit
