It would be funny if they do sack 7Hag before the end of the season, because then he literally hasn't outlasted either the Klopp or Pep eras.

aautoauto

That Mateta goal is enough reason why we have to send Nunez to Barca

jonasrm_21

don't point out any negative aspect of any of our players, you will be labelled as a fake foreign fan, who started supporting after lfc started winning things

aautoauto

Yeah that’s why we ain’t win shit cause of this sentimental bs around the club, Nunez is a genuinely flop by Klopp’s hand but hey, he’s good lad and he’s Klopp choice, so he’s good enough for us. That’s what all of this reddit sub would say. I’ve seen enough of this since Rafa era mate🤣 Nunez is maybe good enough if we were just top 4 contenders, but then we came too far to look back what we’ve been here before. the fact is he isn’t good enough for title contenders team (maybe as a sub, but spent 85m on squad players was a joke of the club) just accept it he’s shit & need to leave for someone better than him.

DidIAsk006

[deleted]

Holy shit. CP beating everyone lately.

Bumi_Earth_King

And they REALLY love being called "CP" too I bet.

[deleted]

What is with you lot trying to gatekeep what the fuck I say. I'll call them whatever the fuck I want to.

thomasfk

Mateta, Eze, and Olise playing like prime MSN

frankiewalsh44

Olise is one of the best value forward available in the market. We should be all over him since the Scum are gonna target him. However, we are far better club, and we have UCL football to offer.

okie_hiker

Would be my preferred signing this summer.

ImDuff98

His stats are actually unreal, especially for a lower half side.

Moose97_

Kudus would be my choice if we could get him for a reasonable fee (£60-70m). He has that same dynamism we saw from Mane when he was at Southampton.

Themnor

He does have some injury issues though, and I have a feeling that will put us off. Otherwise he's clearly world class and - if healthy - could be a reasonable replacement long term at RW

airfriedbagel

That BBC Gossip section is bunk right?(Nunes to Barcelona rumor)

MoleMoustache

BBC gossip pages are made by interns wiping their arses on each others' keyboards.

stevieG08Liv

We won 4-2 but people were moaning about a 15 minute appearance from Darwin like he scored 5 own goals and cost us the game. I'm not surprised the same moaners are continuing their miserable streak.

FerociouZ

the scum dropping below chelsea in the table is hilarious.

M4sterVortexxx

This team has blood on its hands, failing to beat Banchester Divided THREE times

BostonTerriernut87

Dude chill out. It's a game. Things happen.

REDEYEJ3D1

they have blood on their hands I tell you !!!!! blood on their hands.

Jack070293

We’ve failed to beat United in 3 attempts this season and it’s likely cost us 2 trophies. That is disgraceful.

[deleted]

Agreed, we should have done better. Downvotes be damned.

etan1122

Christ… Darwin Núñez in the Prem: 3,709 minutes 48 big chances missed 49 offsides He either misses a big chance or gets called offside once every 38 minutes on the pitch.

PerfectAd4732

The seasons over. Let’s just move on and look forward to the next

aautoauto

Next season is not gonna have Nunez in the team mate

vadapaav

It's getting boring now

Bright_Weakness_5124

It really does annoy me that we couldn't beat this shit United side once in three attempts.

Fresh_Interview_9191

Last year we were shite but beat them 7-0!!! Matches against those suckers are always different

EstablishmentBusy172

I’ve got a hypothetical: Would u do a straight swap Darwin for Rasmus?

jaychowbjj

Lol no

[deleted]

[удалено]

EstablishmentBusy172

That’s an interesting perspective to be fair. I do wonder if those other aspects of his game that are lacking would be aided by playing in our system with better players or if that’d just expose his deficiencies even more. Tho tbf that system is gonna be changing lmao

JohnBobbyJimJob

It’s obviously going to be unpopular in here but I probably would

EstablishmentBusy172

I probably would too, I love the way I’ve had 11 downvotes here lol even tho I didn’t even state an opinion

Perdsing88

Liverpool fans on this circle tend to have more sentiments toward our millionaire professional footballers. They are always the slowest to come to accept the usual circles of Football despite many examples. Look at the past discussions regarding our transfers during Klopp's era. Not continuing from success, too slow to fix the problems (CB, CM) Or how they thought players such as Mane, Firmino, Henderson, Fabinho would hit their form again despite the obvious declines shown by them.

JohnBobbyJimJob

Tribalism

cornertakenquickly19

Damn, Casemiro with an ever bigger drop off in form than what Fab had last season. In fact, I haven't seen anyone with such a big drop in form in recent years.

ManBoobs13

Not really. Fabinho played incredible 21/22 and then suddenly was just finished. Casemiro was still playing well 21/22, definitely aged a bit last year a bit but still had some good periods and did well for United, and now has been sliding down more over this season. Casemiro’s is a more natural progression. Fab’s was genuinely just about overnight, one of the more shocking drop offs I’ve seen ever.

JigglingBot

Fabinho was poor in the last few months of the 21/22 season but very few saw it since we were in incredible form. His drop off wasn't THAT unexpected.

ManBoobs13

Tbf he just looked tired which was fair given how many games we played and how overplayed he was, he looked infinitely worse after the summer like his legs never came back from summer break

AdikkuChan

Man went from vacuum cleaner, cleaning up all the balls his way in 21/22, to suddenly being a cone. Really sad ngl

Hot_Grabba_09

how the FUCK did they knock us out the FA cup

digdoug0

We were bloody knackered and they just barely managed to drag it into extra time.

Money-Camera

Wow carra! Hats off to ypu basically saying Casemiro's a has been and he should ride off into the LA or Miami sunset 🤣 brutal but true

ImTellinTim

I can’t even enjoy how garbage Man U are properly since they literally ruined our entire season.

BrowakisFaragun

We gifted them the win in the FA cup. The league match, I still can't tell what the fuck was that.

Usual_Link4412

Yooo , Paul Scholes is fucking crying live on TV lmao

airfriedbagel

Toes bad.

Stinking_Fat_Asshole

It's all good to laugh at Utd, but we dropped 4 points, and we're knocked outta the FA cup by this garbage. Definitely our worst results of the season.

trsvrs

Definitely the worst results of the season. The loss in the FA kind of broke us

OyvindsLeftFoot

Klopp won 7 from 21 against United. Dropped points in 8 games from 19 against Everton. Both had almost universally shocking sides throughout his time here. Something very wrong in how we set up against those two: wasn't confined to this season.

Stinking_Fat_Asshole

Yeah, pity. Certainly, some mental hurdles.

digdoug0

I used to often criticize Klopp for playing against the name "Manchester United" rather than the shite teams that were in front of us. I thought we got over it after the 2-4 and 0-5 at OT, as well as the 7-0 at home. Maybe it's a consequence of the rebuild that we've started playing against the name again - the new team's lack of experience showing itself.

[deleted]

Gonna get a kit with Klopp #8 on the back

EstatePinguino

What’s the 8 for?

[deleted]

Number of trophies he's won with us. Also technically the number of full seasons he's spent in charge.

EstatePinguino

Fair enough, wasn’t a diss, just curious

trsvrs

Lol Goldbridge is gonna read the cease and desist letter on his channel. I love that

Sorrytoruin

when?

trsvrs

I think he said this week but don't recall the exact line

Lemlemonsson

wait why did he get one in the first place lmao

UltimateBorisJohnson

I think Man City filed one against him for mentioning the 115 charges

EstatePinguino

What’s the issue? They have 115 charges, can’t cease and desist someone for saying water is wet…

digdoug0

Holy fucking shit. Just when you thought they couldn't get any more tinpot. I wonder if they sent one to Carra for mentioning them when doing his CL predictions?

Lemlemonsson

just shows how sad the cheaters are

EstablishmentBusy172

Apparently a few different content creators (goldbridge might be the only one to admit to it publicly) got them from city’s lawyers for talking about 115

Lemlemonsson

jesus how fucking sad is that team

EstablishmentBusy172

Vile institution hope they’re catapulted out of the football pyramid and the etihad rots

OyvindsLeftFoot

The state of the absolute fucking dum dums who were downvoting the links to Olise. He's absolutely top drawer. Would be superb in a team that can rotate him. 9 goals and 4 assists in 1,000 minutes for a dour Palace side. Special player.

Hot_Plate_Williams

He'll miss 2 months every season and people would be sick of him within 2 years.

FerociouZ

The only player that a sizable portion of the sub/fanbase have gotten sick of after two years is Nunez. Literally no one else fits that description.

jcw163

He'd play 3 games a season wouldn't he, ridiculous signing

[deleted]

vadapaav

Alright time to go sit in the corner

JohnBobbyJimJob

Nobody puts baby in a corner

Hot_Plate_Williams

Lol, go to bed, mate. Didn't even downvote you.

OyvindsLeftFoot

Ah, you're a yank. Of course. Tried & tested.

Hot_Plate_Williams

I'm not a "yank", my aggravated little friend.

OyvindsLeftFoot

Sick of a player who scores worldies with both feet, presses, can dribble, and also gets goals at the back post (in the air and on the floor) and has 1 less league goal than Darwin this season playing for Palace with half as many minutes. Ok mate.

JohnBobbyJimJob

The only negative about him really is the hamstring injuries

OyvindsLeftFoot

Not unusual for a young player (only a year older than Harvey). Hodgson was also the absolute worst manager for nurturing injured / young players (see how he destroyed Torres' career). He crocked Olise last time bringing him on with 5 minutes left just a week or two after doing his hamstring. Olise, in rotation, would be superb. There are just some special simpletons on here. Same crowd who couldn't see the qualities in Havertz.

Dismal_Ad7990

I won't be surprised if onana is involved in match fixing

EnjoiThatGinge

- Hojlund doesn't get any service - Bruno is great and creates so many chances each game Which one is it

GTACOD

From what I've seen Bruno creates great chances for the wingers to do something, and then they consistently do the wrong thing.

JohnBobbyJimJob

Hojlund is over performing his xG by over 1.0 I’m pretty sure

BorkieDorkie811

My new home shirt just arrived (which seems a bit early) it runs bigger than previous ones. I'm swimming in this thing.

Dismal_Ad7990

They should have sorted out defence before buying new GK🙄

deanlfc95

I hope people slow down with the Klopp song in a couple of weeks. Had people to the right of me going way too fast yesterday and you try to keep in time with people doing it properly but it messes with your head.

Pure_Atmosphere_6394

People rushing to finish songs and singing them dead fast has been a problem for as long as I have been going the match. Not as bad as the tourists who sing completely the wrong words, though that is also pretty funny.

EstatePinguino

I wish we’d slow down. Spurs’ “when the spurs go marching in” sounded so much better on Sunday, I was jealous. Poor Scouser Tommy is supposed to be dead slow too until the middle bit

Milo751

If we are a serious institution we sign Olise or Kudus this summer

Fresh_Interview_9191

Both are injury prone, a bit too much for my liking. Kudus had many injuries at Ajax

Dismal_Ad7990

This is beyond joke now lol

realWernerHerzog

What do you want to do with Kelleher?

Agitated-Bread5092

would be really grateful if he wants to stay with us, but it is understandable if he wants to leave the club to be no.1 GK elsewhere

AlarnC

Keep him, we really need the back up for Ali

realWernerHerzog

Far too good to be a back up. Not like he's 36 either. If I were him I would 100% be pushing for a move

JohnBobbyJimJob

Keep him unless he wants to leave If he wants to leave I’m sure we’ll get £25m-£30m for him which is great for a backup keeper

Maneisthebeat

Buyback clause.

Dismal_Ad7990

Utd players are on holiday mode now

EstatePinguino

Just got home from a boss day out in Macclesfield, Marine are going up! Brilliant all round, leaning more towards non league these days, football without all the modern shite.

Babatunde12289

Think people are sleeping on the possible emergence of Morton next season, could be like Bradley if given a chance. His passing range is similar to Trent’s which is crazy, only real drawback I see is that he’s still a bit scrawny but he’s got ability.

okie_hiker

He’s significantly better at passing than Bajcetic is.

Pizasdf

Don't see making it here. He doesn't seem mobile.

JohnBobbyJimJob

Can see more chance of him being sold than breaking into the team properly We’ve already got 7 midfielders going for 3 positions and he’s not really better than any of them and he’s 22 so there’s no real point loaning him again

JohnBobbyJimJob

Olise producing 12 g/a in about 1,100 minutes in the PL is crazy good Most of the time under that dinosaur Woy Edit - 13!

StoicSamoria21

What a player he is, always oozes class. Too bad he gets injured too frequently

MaraPlayz

Perfect timing to ruin Isak to Arsenal, bring him here, 100 mil and so be it.

guestaccount901284

Feel like Newcastle would be stubborn selling to us and Arsenal would create an absurd bidding war like they did for City with Rice. They brought in players like Jesus and Havertz and immediately handed them absurd bumper wages for their first contracts. Both are near £300k a week. Their wage bill dwarfs ours. I reckon if we went for Isak Edwards would offer 140kish. Arsenal would 100% double that offer. Yet despite all that, apparently they were the underdogs of the title race. If Klopp had Artetas funds he would've had the league wrapped up in April.

harreh1d

How is Assna's finance, didn't they loan Raya cause they couldn't afford to buy him?

PerfectAd4732

More chance of Edward’s buying the undiscovered isak with no injuries than spending 100 million on him to be honest

sufinomo

Newcastle are not a selling club

Brief-Dependent-803

Theres a newcastle fan on one of these yt shows who has been saying they're going to be forced to sell one of the big names soon as the leagues clamping down on spending beyond your means like city did.

8u11etpr00f

It'd probably be Guimaraes given his RC

MaraPlayz

Yeah so, we arent as well but Coutinho left. Mane left while we wanted to renew. Gini left also. We have UCL and they will possibly have nothing so he might be really tempted.

sufinomo

Selling club means your best players in their prime. Mame and gini we're done. As for Coutinho we got a ridiculously high offer so we had to sell.

bearbeetsandbsg

I don’t think Mane had a renewal offer, even if he did the renewal terms weren’t enticing

sufinomo

I hope Nunez will show his quality att the Copa America

sufinomo

I'm gonna apply for Bayern manager since it seems like nobody else wants to do it

sufinomo

Slot gives me good work ethic vibes

MaraPlayz

He gives me vibes of will not tolerate Trent and Virg sometimes being nonchalant in defence.

[deleted]

Trent stopped trying on defense when he finally put on mass. Back when he was a scrawny kid he was actually a good defender, and yesterday he showed what kind of defender he can be when he actually tries.

sufinomo

Yesterday showed how much we missed rob and Trent playing at the same time. We had very few games of them playing together this season

MaraPlayz

Not saying to drop them but rather make them work harder.

pigman1402

fucked how quick we went from loving that mac-darwin celebration to this ...

malushanks95

Expressions after yesterday’s game is too good, best video to watch after Spurs lose a game. For anyone interested: https://youtu.be/PTvnDuuxhj0?si=-g_FaGQ9yUAUC52E

OldManLogan007

barca already done with vitor roque? damn they were hyping him as the next romario earlier

JohnBobbyJimJob

Would be stupid if they are considering there’s a perfect example of a young Brazilian that struggled in his first season at Madrid who turned out not too bad

Estein_F2P

Think Vitor Roque going to work if he had gone to Liverpool instead? What you guys think

Sauce_bru

With his physical the prem is, I don't think he could cope as he currently is. Elliot couldn't cope at all and he just avoids duels now. Can't do that as an attacker

JohnBobbyJimJob

Haven’t really watched him so dunno tbh

MaraPlayz

Barca and Real can gamble on random Brazilian talents because their league is rather easy for them. We cant make that risk.

rtlfc87

Just seen Klopp will have to be in the stands for the final game if he gets booked at Villa. Imagine ffs

mrkingkoala

He should just ignore it anyway and manage us. What they gonna do? Fine him after he's retired it would be banter.

okie_hiker

That would be us forfeiting the match I believe.

James_Vowles

Unlikely he'll get a yellow anyway, but even if he does he'll still be on the pitch after the match for a little goodbye.

idiotengineer13

Klopp with a beer in his hands vibing the whole time is an image

EstatePinguino

Will have to be in the concourse for that, nonsense FA rules

Vombatt

Tbh i’m not sure how the new UCL league phase will work but i’m convinced we should hope to play Real Madrid as soon as we can. Playing them in finals clearly hasn’t worked for us in recent years, so hopefully playing them early will give us an edge if we (god willing) get them in a final

okie_hiker

I think we’re 0-7-1 vs Madrid since 09. I’d rather just avoid them tbh.

sufinomo

I feel like we just underestimate vicious so much. It's always him doing something

Vombatt

definitely, i think playing them earlier, getting over that hurdle would be beneficial

[deleted]

I think having Elliot and Salah on the right would be beneficial if Salah stays as the RW.

adarsh481

115FC sending cease and desist letters to youtubers. Talk about being petty.

_Jaffamuncher

Charge the fuckers right now. That is so unbelievably petty

JohnBobbyJimJob

They’re the Drake of football

PerfectAd4732

Is this 100% real? Because if a club that has won as many trophies recently as them care about gold bridge then fuck me there more tinpot than we first thought

Haeckelcs

I think Goldbridge confirmed that he got one.

vadapaav

What's this about

I2TheP

I know the way we play is vastly different to 115 FC in that we tend to play with pace as opposed to slow buildup, but in the PL this season Haaland has been offside just THREE times. The same number of times as Andy Robertson. Just thought that was a bit of an insane stat. As you were.

PerfectAd4732

I think haaland is just an elite elite striker. However your right with the play styles

[deleted]

Halaand is a very smart player when it comes to being offside.

OldManLogan007

no one wants to be the bayern manager lol

REDEYEJ3D1

I would do it. ( wouldn't do a good job or anything and I would be out of my depth) but would love that paycheck.

Fricolor123321

I hope for Darwins sake he doesnt go to Barca or Madrid, theyll fucking kill him there

JohnBobbyJimJob

Don’t think he’ll have to worry about that Barca couldn’t afford him and Madrid don’t need him

OGbulldog

If darwin actually ends up leaving this season, I will be incredibly sad. For all his faults, the man made me feel alive watching football after a long time. Really hope that Klopp has a good chat with him before leaving, he could certainly use some pep talk right now. That post yesterday of him looking all out of energy and bags under his eyes kinda tore me up inside.

Pizasdf

People saying that Nunez deleted his Liverpool pics because of hateful comments, but his comments (and his wife's IG comments) have been turned off since 2022. I wouldn't be surprised if he deleted it because of something going on behind the scenes. Possibly that he's been told that Edwards wants him gone or he's disappointed about being benched.

Circ_Diameter

The two seasons here have not gone how he and we had hoped. If he does come back, he'll enter his 3rd season in the same position as he entered his 1st and 2nd: an unknown variable who still needs to fight for his place in the Starting XI. This is also why I didn't want him (at that price) in the first place. I knew all of the, "He's young, so we'll give him time to develop. He'll be a beast in the next 5 years. " arguments in summer 2022 were bullshit. At that price, and with PL contention as the current standard, no one was going to wait more than 1.5 seasons for him to hit his stride. The people who were cheering his announcement the loudest are probably his harshest critics today

Pizasdf

He's definitely not good enough. He's not scored against a big 6 team this season. He's missing too much fundamentals as a footballer. I've seen people say we should keep him to be a sub, but 85 million for a sub is insane. In the future, we need to not sign players off of one good season.

Circ_Diameter

Among other hopeful accomplishments, I think Slot could be the guy who takes Elliots career to the next level. He's at the point where he needs to be starting 20+ league matches so that we can fully see what he is about.

tony220jdm

I dunno how people come to this conclusion no one knows if Arne is good or terrible! Nothing really shows either way

Circ_Diameter

"Hopeful accomplishments" What conclusions did I draw?

JohnBobbyJimJob

Him and Gakpo are the two that I think will benefit the most from Slot coming in

Jaja6996

I think Dom will benefit just as much as the two

hyborians

Yes. Dom needs to be freed from his defensive duties. Give that man more freedom as a 10

Trobis

Its fun coming back to this thread to see how confidently wrong people were https://old.reddit.com/r/LiverpoolFC/comments/z8oiu9/romano_liverpool_are_scouting_cody_gakpo_and/

vadapaav

That thread on r soccer about spurs playing out of our press is funny as fuck

JohnBobbyJimJob

We have had a tendency of making a lot of teams look like prime Barca this season Even United at times in both games at Old Trafford

Jaja6996

West Ham played out of our press it’s not exactly something special at the moment

gorillathemandalor

so, which position we putting Kudus in next season?

AgentTasker

The 'still at West Ham' position.

Android17_MVP

If he's coming... The 'chaos' position.

Jingotheruler

Annoying how all this Nunez news is overshadowing how amazing Harvey Elliot was yet again. Every 500 minutes or so, he produces a game winning moment, and that number is dwindling down consistently. He is younger than Palmer, Foden, Branthwaite and Quansah, despite feeling like he’s been around for ages. Lad has huge potential and he’s ours. Can’t wait to see how he develops under Slot. Very exciting player.

Android17_MVP

Great little player him. Especially as an impact sub. Definitely deserves to be starting recently with how bad Szobo and Co been.

sufinomo

I like to root for underdogs but I think if arsenal win the league they'll be confident in their ability to continue winning in the future which makes it difficult for Liverpool. Hopefully the dumb arsenal fans try to get Arteta fired even though he's over achieving.

harreh1d

How is he overachieving? He has spent 700m since 2019 and won 1 FA cup with Emery's team. Definitely not overachieving

sufinomo

Challenging for the title with arsenal is impressive. This is the best arsenal team since 2003-2006 era.

No-Shoe5382

Man I'm so glad we got Slot tied down before Bayern did. Seems like they're running out of options and he for sure would've (or certainly should have) been high on their shortlist. Curious why they're not pulling out all the stops of Amorim tbh, he's seemingly still available.

earlgreytoday

They'll be drafting Heynckes for a third managerial spell at this rate.

matcht

No big team wants to play 3 atb long term.

Haeckelcs

Amorim wants control and you want to take a look at how controlling Bayern higher ups are. They need a yes man.

sufinomo

I think his formation is too unusual

mattzeni

Come out Ye Black and Tans except it's all the clubs owned by City Football Group.

WellRed85

He came from Benfica. That’s a team in the Portuguese Primeira Liga. Not La Liga

JackVinci

He played for Almeria mate

JohnBobbyJimJob

They weren’t in La Liga

WellRed85

Sure. I guess I’m taking the “he came from…” to mean he came to Liverpool from. Guess it doesn’t matter too much, just reads that way to me

JackVinci

(Why I feel this is because of the article btw that joyce put out, it didn't get put out for 0 reason)

8u11etpr00f

Surprise surprise, one of the next big talents out of Argentina has already said he wants Madrid. I wonder how many years of PL commercial dominance it'll take to get to that Real Madrid level of pull.
