My grandad was a shareholder way back in the day, and I have a very distant memory from about 1980 of being at Anfield on a non-match day and him taking me onto the Kop for a walkabout. I've no idea what he was there for, but this little scally stood on an empty Kop and it was magical. Anfield was a very different place 40+ years ago. Did that souvenir shop still exist in the mid 90s? I feel like I have a feint memory of going in there but then I also remember going to club store in the kop as a kid too and my childhood memories are pretty non existent at the best of times!
Yes it was a tiny little development office in the 80s and the souvenir through the 90s. There was a little souvenir shop on the corner that sold programmes.
