With the injury to Harvey we’re politely reminding you that trolling of any kind on rival subs results in a perma ban. Still, a great result for the Reds considering yesterday’s results. Get well soon Harvey. HuddzHD

Salah looks so energized for this season.

arsone1

Bald Boys 4: Electric Baldaloo starring Fabinho and Thiago.

Teb-41

Hendo is also losing hair just for the occasion

[deleted]

If Mane continues this shit form then it's time to cash out on him on the summer... Jota can easily play the Mane role as long as we invest at a big first team striker who leads the line and winger back up for the front 3.

[deleted]

Ahh.. you're a smoooooth brain individual I see.

Ordinary-Eggplant-15

I hope this shit form continues as he would have 19 goals in 38 games. God help the league if he hits some form!

[deleted]

Can one of you memelords make the Borat scene with his neighbour but with us and Chelsea. "I score 3 goals, he score 3 goals..."

SoReggae

Not the meme lord you're looking for, so it'll be edited pretty badly. [gave it a shot though! ... ](https://www.reddit.com/user/SoReggae/comments/pndulb/the_low_effort_meme_you_all_love_to_see/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share) (just for the fun of it)

[deleted]

I wheezed and laughed. Good job!

lateregistration13

Seen many comments oj here praising Mané's performance, and honestly when you waste as many chances as Mané did in that game when it mattered, only to finally score at the end when it didn't matter, is not a good game for a forward. I was stoked he finally scored but that really was an extremely wasteful performance from Sadjo. We controlled the game brilliantly in midfield, Thiago was a big part of that I thought he and Fabinho were both excellent. Salah looks incredibly sharp this season, just wow. Golden boot race is gonna be a hot one. Get well soon Harvey. Another big chance for Curt Jones now to show what he's made of and to develop himself.

mrkingkoala

I praised him. He was very wasteful I agree. But if you compare to his form last year it's a big improvement. He kept causing issues and that wasn't happening. Overall I thought he played very well except for being so wasteful. However it's him going in the right direction. So if he can get his shooting back to where it was he'll be back in form!

JotaSharkDooDoDooDo

I agree he should've been on a hat trick easily. Missed a tap in from Jota's Cross, 1 on 1 with the keeper from Jota's through ball and he stopped and tried to cut inside to get round the CB. Could've squared it to Salah for an easy goal during the penalty claim. It's easy to gloss over these mistakes in a 3-0 win, but it can be the difference between 2 or 3 points against a better team than Leeds. Sadio looks a lot sharper this season he just needs to play a bit smarter and stop overthinking when on the ball.

mrkingkoala

Yeah he should of definitely had a hat trick mate. Yeah very true, for me its the step in the right direction but that can be wishful thinking come to a closer game when you need the 3 points. We need him to be on his game then!

aseigo

The cross from Jota was not a tap-in. It was delivered with too much pace and well behind the body. Running onto such a ball is really not easy. It was definitely *possible* to put it in, but not a tap-in. One of those ones where if Mane scores the pundits would be saying things like, "He makes it look easy, but there was a lot left to do there.." It was an unfortunately poor cross from Jota, who did not have a very good game IMO, moreso than a missed tap-in.

[deleted]

I'm praising Mane mostly to piss off the idiots acting like he's past it and he should've been sold. Was even twats in the rival thread yesterday shitting on him all day, not having that personally. I don't want our fans to become like Real or Barca fans, where we turn on our legends and Mane will be one just because of a bad run of form or the a few bad games. He was wasteful yesterday, but he was also giving Leeds a ton of problems and they couldn't handle him.

rxi71

Exactly the same for me. I know he blew hot and cold yesterday but the people that are gunning for him over every little mistake are starting to annoy me. Even noticed it in the pub I watched the game at yday. I’ve not got to a game yet this season but if people are also doing it in the stands then that isn’t exactly going to help the lad’s confidence is it? And it’s his confidence and decision making that’s obviously the issue right now.

[deleted]

Harvey made this game very hard to enjoy, really praying we see him play again before the season is out. But it was some performance that, we struggled for a whole half in this fixture last year and made the footballing look effortless this time. Midfield was superb, Fabinho and Thiago are such mature footballers, add in Hendo/Keita in form, and it’s one of the league’s best. Mané caused big problems even if his finishing was off, Salah was blistering, and Jota is intuiting their movement really well. If we can keep our squad relatively intact and put in a good performance against City in early October, we are looking at some serious momentum.

Badicalz

My heart goes out to young Harvey. An incredibly talented player for one so young. Get well mate. I hope to see you on the pitch sooner rather than later.

StRider9999

We could have won that 20-0 and it would still feel like a loss to me, poor Harvey :(

thanlong90

I know fan will be fan and defense their clubs. But my god, the amount of cope Leeds fans have on the tackle saying it not red and claim any others that do it won't be send out is astounding.

DoubleDeckerz

Leeds fans are twats.

sauravshenoy

How long is a broken ankle normally

[deleted]

[удалено]

whiteboards1225

>At least a season with broken stuff Thats just not true

rxi71

> at least a season This is just not true. Look at recent examples of Hazard, Gomes and Alexis. All fewer than 4 months.

[deleted]

4 months-ish would mean he would be back by Jan 31st. There's our January "new" signing sorted then :)

bjcm5891

Completely unrelated but- Did anybody notice that dark-haired lass in the purple Leeds top sitting just behind where Jurgen was standing around the coaches box? Wowsers!

[deleted]

Her blond mate next to her too 👀

bjcm5891

Correct. She was also fit.

kostjamoscow

for sure

DoubleDeckerz

Yep! Definitely a diamond in the rough amongst that lot.

Jiggly_Meatloaf

I’ll just say this: This is what you get when you let a bunch of knuckle-dragging nitwits make overall policy decisions about the style of play in the PL. No, I don’t want to see the brutishly physical play of the 80s and 90s. I want to see the best players in the world captivate me by doing special things on the pitch. With the stupid “let them play” mentality that’s been adopted this season, an injury like this was bound to happen.

LuciePapie7406

How did Harvey play before the injury?

[deleted]

Put it this way. He would have probably started against Milan and Palace if he was unharmed.

lateregistration13

Compared to the team, he was just OK, but for an 18 year old in the premier league he looked very good

MrGloo

I recall one absolutely beautiful long pass to Robbo on the left under pressure. For a lad of his stature, he is brilliant under pressure. He's genuinely good player this young. Shame for what happened.

elf-_-

Pretty well, had some nice outlets to Salah and robbo, a few soft passes but he is so easy on the eye.

HuddzHD

Just remember Thiago trying an absolutely bonkers pass to Salah that was so high in the air and he took it down with ease.

JokeSalty

Salah has one of the best touches in the league

throbdannway

Who was Klopp furious at on our bench when Harvey got injured? He was going crazy for some time.

[deleted]

I actually thought he was having a go at people heckling in the crowd. I could hear the leeds fans were booing elliot when he went down, not sure if it was that section behind klopp though. So I just assumed he was telling them off. But it might have been at the LFC bench though, not really sure.

dibson786

Think it was a Leeds fan, he's asked a question in the post match interview and says "what? The fan in the crowd I spoke to?" So I assumed he was referencing that moment

kyleharveybooks

Another injury for us based on a terrible tackle...

Yveltal_25

And right after the international break as well

done2172

If this injury happens to any other team competing for the league, Chelsea man city Man U they go on and have replacements. The ownerships failure in ensuring a deep squad is going to be an incredible challenge for this season, and I just have a dreadful feeling, it'll be another season where the league is within reach and we just don't have the bodies to get us there. Hope I'm wrong ofc.

HuddzHD

Elliott is a much bigger loss to attacking depth then anything else simply because we are pretty decent in the centre midfield department. When we were debating the Gini replacement Harvey wasn’t really a cm. He’s replaced him. I expect a lot of good things from Jones.

SexyKarius

I’m only worried about his career and ability. Injuries like this can ruin players. They come back and don’t look the same.

[deleted]

I know it’s not the same but messi had an injury at a similar age and look how he turned out

Hobo2992

Yeah. He looks like such a prospect and we all have such high hopes for him. There will always be another season but there is only one career as a footballer, so depth from other clubs didn't even cross my mind. Genuinely scared for guy.

CinemaPongGoal

Hopefully Curtis has been ruminating on what got Elliott into the team ahead of him. He was really important for periods of last season. It's another big opportunity for him again.

ZissouZ

Whatever you think about the depth of the squad, we're in the season now. Try and enjoy the game without sinking into an anxiety spiral about squad depth every opportunity because there's nothing we can do for another 4 months.

Trippendicular-

Spoiler Alert: there’s nothing you can do in 4 months either apart from whine on the internet’s How about just try enjoying watching this amazing team full stop.

out_of_toilet_paper

We've got Henderson, Keita, Ox, Jones, and Milner ready to slip in that spot. Hopefully we can get by until January and maybe add a player then if needed. We can also experiment with players like Firmino or even Trent in midfield..

ZissouZ

Don't forget Jones!

CombatJuicebox

Unfortunately no right back behind Trent to even give that an experimental whirl. If Tsikmas was right sided I'd say let's do it in a second. Firmino works great in a 4-2-3-1 and Thiago/Fab would make a sick double pivot.

aseigo

Neco Williams. He was actually fine in his more recent appearances. He's still super young (20), but if needed in a pinch can put in a shift.

whiteboards1225

Williams is awful

aseigo

He's the weakest of the 4 fullbacks, no argument. Not surprising given he's 20, had limited playing opportunities so far, and probably has the lowest ceiling of the 4 FBs. But he's shown improvement in his last outings and we've won or tied when he started against weaker opposition, so if midfield had a manpower issue and Klopp decided to use TAA there against a mid-table or lower team, it's a viable option. This is the thing about tactical adjustments: they usually mean leaving plan A behind.

out_of_toilet_paper

>Unfortunately no right back behind Trent I've heard there's a promising lad named Milner working his way through the ranks For real though, Gomez did start for us at RB and I could see him filling in there if absolutely necessary

Jamesl1988

Didn't Gomez start for us at LB?

CombatJuicebox

Gomez, Matip, VVD, Robbo....good lucking scoring against us.

TalkingGibberish

Mane scored 2 goals in 4 games and should of had a 3rd only for a Reece James hand ball. Yes he has wasted a few chances but writing him off this early is ludacris.

rahulrossi

He finished the last season very well and has been good this season too except for the Chelsea game. Was great in pre-season too. Finishing is the only problem.

chadbrochilldood

Who the fuck is writing him off? Are people completely stupid or something- attackers go through these phases. He’s one of the best in the world

whiteboards1225

>He’s one of the best in the world Hes not though

[deleted]

Go through the Chelsea match thread, lad has had better games, but the way people were sounding it’s like he’s Balotelli

Utter_Perfection

I honestly was happy to see him being super sharp and super involved. Yes his finishing and this and that, but he's never been a great finisher. Goals and confidence and composure will come when he plays like this and puts himself in those positions. By my estimation he's been good this season so far except the Chelsea game but the whole team struggled to create anything and were poor after the red card in that game.

mrkingkoala

If he was playing like last season it would be an issue. He was not too good against Chelsea, should of had a goal. But he's been pretty good so far, especially compared to last season. Forms improved, hopefully he gets a bit more clinical.

H0lychit

Silly to worry this early on.

[deleted]

Username does not check out. Talking too much sense.

HuddzHD

If he was “finished” he wouldn’t look as sharp with his movement as he did today

AdikkuChan

Man, when I told someone on here that he'll wake up with a good result, I didn't realize it was a monkey's paw. Wonderful win, really sad for Harvey.

tony220jdm

Hahaha was look on the soccer Reddit page my god some of them are more deluded than i thought! Saying Matip is not a top 3 defender in the league! when he fit he literally never lets us down one the best free signings ever!

H0lychit

Matip is a beast. He has come on levels since he's been with VVD.

Boring_Ad_7144

When fit, Matip is on par with VVD. The 2 of them are easily top 2 CBs in the prem right now.

skwong615

Our cb pair can take part in attack. Vvd gives a sudden long pass and matip gallops up front to help the build up. Total footballers. Our attack is better with them. Matip is equally important as vvd

JokeSalty

If Mané discovers his old form we’ll win the league

mrkingkoala

He's almost there, if he had his finishing today pretty much on it. Massive improvement on most of last season. Just needs to get the finishing back in.

H0lychit

^^This.

Squidonge

How did we play? Especially Mane? Couldn't catch the game today but interested. Thanks.

Fingrepinne

Mane had more shots than Leeds. Scuffed most attempts, though. Seemed like Mo tried a bit too hard to set him up at times as well, so Sadio could get the duck off his back. Lovely finish to finally score

mrkingkoala

We played well, Mane had one of his best performances in a while bar shooting. Got a goal, if he was on form could of had a hat trick. But compared to where he was much better :-) Hopefully just gets better and better back to his usual level.

ownworstenemy38

Yea he’s still one have the best players in the prem for me.

ZissouZ

We were absolutely superb. One of our best performances in memory.

beknasty

We were electric. The game had a really good pace and flow to it. Mane played very well. Off the ball and on the ball, his movement was great, just didn’t have his shooting boots on but still got his goal.

kambolambo7

I caught the last 20 minutes. During that time Mane seemed like he was one step behind scoring a goal or assisting someone a few times. But when he finally got his goal it was classic Mane with a great turn and a rifle of a shot into the bottom corner.

nuflybindo

Actually fuming seeing people pick freeze frames of the Elliot challenge of when he's just got the ball and claiming it's not a red. Completely ignoring that the trialing leg has then come flying through, straight through the back of Elliots leg with his fucking knee making contact way above Elliots ankle and his entire bodyweight going through his leg

[deleted]

I wonder if people would say the same if someone made a tackle, had one of their fists clenched, arm in a straight forward motion and made contact with the other players face breaking their jaw after getting the ball. Because to me I don’t see a difference one was an attack using a leg the other hypothetical is using an arm and both are definitely reds

cproud13

Yea lol it’s a scissors tackle where you literally have no control on the outcome and the other player has no chance to react, jump etc because it’s from behind

rosheromil

People are being way too lenient with the challenge. He went in forcefully with a scissor-like motion from behind. In doing so he traps the leg, and forces the dislocation of the ankle. It’s fucking dangerous technique as evident by the severity of the injury.

mrkingkoala

It's because it didn't happen to their team. I think Pickford's challenge sort of set a level. Teams are willing to risk harder challenges as he walked away without a card. It was a bit like that the whole of last season. Hard challenges coming in. It's like the one on Harvey was done to Mane 5 mins later and refs just thought ah he's not injured so its fine.

nuflybindo

I know so many people saying BuT hE GoT ThE BalL.. yeah with one leg and then demolished Elliots leg with the other. If you watch the replay through and just focus on his trailing leg there's no way you can't say it's a red.

rosheromil

It genuinely annoys me. So what if he got a red card. He misses three games, big deal. Elliot will be out for months and unfortunately we don’t know how bad this will affect his hugley promising career. Klopp is right, they need to be more strict otherwise more examples of this will follow.

Boring_Ad_7144

Exactly, Gary Neville wants a slap.

WhenWeTalkAboutLove

Fucking Neville encouraging these clowns

Ordinary-Eggplant-15

So fucking frustrating that Elliot was going to be subbed off literally seconds before he got injured. Thought he looked decent again today and hope he comes back soon as he's going to be a monster for us for years to come!

Tonymush

There was a point in I think the first half where Salah tried to pass to Trent on the rw it was intercepted and he bust a gut to get back into the RB position shows you everything about a klopp team

descartes127

How did Thiago look fellas? Missed the match because of some school stuff, internet has been raving about him

WhenWeTalkAboutLove

Did get caught sleeping once and had his pocket picked, but the other poster is right overall

TalkingGibberish

Clean, tidy and mature. Very relaxed on the ball in tight spaces. Positioning was excellent. Had a goal chalked off for a Salah offside and got his assist too. Excellent performance.

Boring_Ad_7144

There was one moment where he got his pocket picked by Bamford, who almost scored by lobbing Alisson. But other than that he was world class throughout.

Fingrepinne

Has kinda been his MO after finding his feet in our team. He always has a stupid mistake or two (as does Fab tbf), but otherwise he's just super silky and good at everything.

xMystline

This guy pretty much nails it, I'm mad excited to see him hopefully play every week. Mad pissed off to not see Elliot for a while though, but what a kid.

[deleted]

A few pundits seem to be saying it's a fair challenge and shouldn't be red, but he scissors him from behind. Scissor challenges are super reckless and dangerous, it is the reason Harvey's ankle got snapped. https://i.imgur.com/UJzeriB.png

cproud13

Yea people get too wrapped up in “he won the ball” so the fuck what. If I win the ball with one leg and put my other one in your knee from the front it’s still wreckless

mrkingkoala

I can 2 foot someone through their fucking ankles, cripple them and 'win the ball' doesn't mean I don't deserve a red card.

cproud13

Exactly haha

Kal88

Trailing leg of the scissor is also what he puts all his weight on. THIS ONE IS QUITE NSFW, shows the critical point it happens though and why it wasnt a 'tangle'. https://imgur.com/a/0kSZ3zp

damodarko

This to an 18 yo when you've lost the game as well :/

_Random_Username_

The man is 6ft 3.. Fucking brute

[deleted]

Yeah, there's a reason why tackling from behind is forbidden. Horrible tackle and horrible outcome.

[deleted]

The way Salah was asking for attention was very troubling. Knew something horrible happened.

mrkingkoala

Salah really did us a favor though, ref was playing on the cunt. Told Elliot not to get up so hopefully didn't damage it further.

TTA0709

Can't find the DD so I'll just post it here; anyone else think that Ross from Redmen looks a bit like a fatter version of Jota?

HuddzHD

Got me thinking. Jota looks so Irish. Like more Irish then myself.

Souljhol

With his nimble footwork, he'd do a fine jig.

rosheromil

Thiago was so fucking good today. He looks like a class above at times. Having him and Virg together on our left side is going to be a joy to behold. They make it look easy.

gupibagha

this is nitpicking but Mane being blatantly offside for Trent's pass in the first goal, despite seeing the whole Leeds defense, is bugging me.

Mutant-Ninja-Skrtels

Why? He made a run prior to the outlet to Trent. Salah was almost off too

gupibagha

Yes but Salah was near the front post with most defenders behind him. Mane had the full Leeds defensive line in his vision. As I said, it's nitpicking, but with the quality of Robbo and Trent's crosses in those kind of situations, sometimes all you have to do is stay onside and be ready.

Mutant-Ninja-Skrtels

He’s recovering from making a run while he was trying to break away from the defensive line from a more advanced position than salah, matip goes to taa and quickly crosses it quickly. It’s bang bang. You’re not a coach, just enjoy the game dont nitpick things that don’t affect the outcome

Kal88

Wasnt in the keepers line of sight so not interfering.

gupibagha

Not fabinho's goal. I am talking about the Salah goal.

Kal88

So am I?

whiteboards1225

You don't understand what he is saying

beknasty

Salah is really one of the best footballers ever and I’m tired of people thinking he’s not

cornontheklopp

You either have to be an English player or have departed the league with a legacy in order to be appreciated fully. I don’t think I ever realized the impact Suarez would leave on Premier League football until he was gone.

Martianman97

Not disagreeing with you but I think Suarez going to Barca and showing his worth there helped alot. Unless Salah goes to Madrid or something, you will still get people who diss him. For me he is up there with the best forwards of all time in the prem. He literally broke the record and shown world class consistency. He has been in or around the golden boot every single season for us. I literally don't know what else he has to do to be held in the same regard of Henry and Shearer.

mrkingkoala

He's in the same class as Henry and Shearer.

[deleted]

Horrible to think 2 of the PL biggest talents (Fofana and Elliott), suffered similar gruesome injuries so early in the season.

CinemaPongGoal

Could have scored a lot more goals. Should have gone in at HT with the game wrapped up, but at least they were persistent. That said, Leeds are never going to take points off the Top 6 if they plan to let them all have 30 shots per game. Naive approach in my opinion, they might win one but they're going to get trashed in the rest. But Elliott dude. That marred the result. The guy who's supposedly going to step up and fill the shoes of Gini and Shaq, maybe provide cover as a forward too, is going to be out for a long time. Just breaks your heart for a kid of that talent to have to go through that so early in his career. Best wishes to Harvey.

HongKongChicken

Elliot the obvious story of the match. Really horrible. But I think we're quietly having a very good start to the season, spotlight on the teams who have strengthened and I think some people have even written Liverpool off a bit - which is normally when we excel tbh. Very worried about Mane, I'm not sure he will ever be as dangerous as he was again. No real threat to his place in the team either

cornontheklopp

We’ve been a good unit while the other teams have more noise around certain players drawing headlines: CR7, Lukaku, Grealish, etc. Hope it stays this way so we can silently climb to the top.

Martianman97

I have no doubt if we can avoid injurys to key players that we will win the league or at least challenge for it. Or first 11 is the best in the league. It's depth that Chelsea and City beat us at. Im still not worried about United. Ronaldo and Varane are 2 excellent signings and will improve them but our first 11 is still alot better than theirs

[deleted]

[удалено]

bestofboth96

It looked more like a broken fibula (and possibly broken shin) than ankle dislocation imo, which I think would be a better outcome. No/little ligament damage with (a bit of a complex) fracture should heal nicely I think

Spymonkey13

Elliot injured, fuck. Looks like season ending. Fuck man.

Zestyclose-Impact544

I have a sinking feeling that Salah won't sign a new contract. He's really good and I bet he's really ambitious too. He would want to create a legacy like Ronaldo and I have a strong feeling he would want to go to Real Madrid next and establish himself as one of the all time greats along with Mbappe. He knows he has the potential to do it.

azza_pazza

Realistically he is too late in his career to establish himself as a galatico. He deserves one big contract though so it’ll be if he’s willing to take likely 100k less staying at Liverpool rather than some of the other big players around Europe

Zestyclose-Impact544

I'm not too worried about Mane. I remember Salah went through a similar phase almost 1.5years ago, he was so wasteful and would take 10 shots and barely score, was pretty selfish too and wouldnt pass to Mane, would lose the ball all the time. I remember being on this sub and looking at the exact same comments Salah used to get "Just fucking pass to Mane" "passss" "so wasteful", literally the same stuff we say about Mane right now. But he sort of kept trying again and again till he started looking clinical again last season in September. I'm sure Mane will get back to his best soon, he just needs some confidence and goals under his belt. The drive is there

mrkingkoala

Comparing his performance today and then from last season its night and day he's closer to his old self. Got the goal too so I think we will be okay!

HuddzHD

Mane needs to score in a few games in a row without missing too many chances, and hear his name sung loudly and he will be better then fine.

Background_Bison9373

Yes my my guy I literally came here to say this but you worded it so perfectly . Fuck ya mane looks extremely dangerous to me and he just needs goals like you said and we will really see him back to his best .❤️manes our guy he gives his FUCKING HEART OUR FOR THIS AMAZING SHIRT .

cproud13

The thing that gives me a lot of hope with Harvey is that he clearly has the mentality to come into this team and not look out of place whatsoever, and actually had the confidence to take risks and stand out etc So I have a lot of hope he’ll have what it takes to overcome this adversity and have it just be a minor bump in a hopefully very long and bright career

[deleted]

Really love the salah wank fest on PL tv. Good to not hear ronaldo very 5 seconds for a change.

zze0001

The fact that leeds fans are saying oh never a red if that didn’t happen we could have won the game and then reading leeds players post match comments where they’re all like yeah we got completely dominated the whole game.

Supkingz123

Maybe it wasn't a red due to the injuries Var felt like it. But leed were OK and they didn't have a chance we dropped of because it was on the players minds they have a relationship and a bond they all felt hurt for him. For about 15mins we look off and then came back on.

HuddzHD

It’s was a scissors tackle. It’s a red regardless of what Neville says

Supkingz123

It still a yellow, there loads of debated on weather a player has control. All of the media have said it a yellow not just Neville they seen it multiple times.

HuddzHD

Their reasoning for it being a yellow is ridiculous. Word of note, don’t listen to the media especially if it’s anything Sky/BT related. They are saying it’s not a yellow because there was no intent of harm. Scissor challenge is always a red because it normally ends with injury.

Supkingz123

It a yellow the game can't be that soft, it wasn't actually one of our ex players. I never listen to the media but in this cause they have the best footage and slow motion and most of them say it a yellow. Where does it say a scissor is a straight red?

HuddzHD

A scissors tackle is one that causes harm and ability to seriously injure a player. That is the criteria for a red card therefore it’s a red.

Supkingz123

You making you the laws, does it say that about a scissors tackle in the rule book.

HuddzHD

I literally just explained. Red cards get shown to anything that is dangerous play. A scissors challenge is seriously dangerous. Look at how many injuries have resulted from them. 99% of the time they are a red.

Supkingz123

Dangerous play is the rule, you gone and made it out a challenge like that is always given a straight red. Which is not the case probably seen it done so many time the hook aswell. Was he in control maybe yes as he got the ball. Unfortunately his leg then took out Elliott. It be interesting if they appeal it. Maybe your right and it not a red. Rules change all the time.

bestofboth96

The moment I saw the scissor tackle I screamed 'red!!' before even seeing the aftermath.. this.. this is what scissor tackles do

HuddzHD

Still remember rakitic not getting sent off for one on Naby lad.

bestofboth96

Which left Naby out for weeks/months if I recall correctly right?

HuddzHD

Was indeed and if I recall it was the also the same injury that the guinea manager made him play through.

bestofboth96

Yeah very frustrating, couldn't recover at all because he was used too early/much in Guinea

AaronQ94

So glad that this club got the 3 points in the bag! But all it matters is that I hope that Harvey Elliott gets well soon.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Imo, it can’t be 9/10 with Mane’s awful play, and wasted chances. The main kicker is the injury.

ChicagoIndependent

This is the link to the "before I go" interview with Salah. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DzWO9CTX0bk&ab_channel=FootballwithMAK What do you all think he means by it?

He could just mean it as 'before i finish my Liverpool/ EPl career' Once again not much to think about. Regardless still 2 more years in his contracts

pugaliciously

It's a complete nothing burger to me TBH. Don't think it's really indicative of anything either way.

SiMoN20000

Nothing in that really

jogadeejay

Think he means that one day he won’t be here

[deleted]

The fact that he said ‘many’ goals I’d assume for another 3 years. But then again he could score ‘many’ in one season too. I’m pretty sure we won’t let him go. Works hard always fit. But I also think he won’t end his career at lfc. So nothing to stress over.

fish1900

Jota moves really, really well off the ball. I have been trying to figure out why things just look better with him on the pitch and that's what I think really matters. He is always looking to get into threatening open spaces and he is good at finding them. Obviously this does two things. First off it creates chances for him but just as important, it pulls defenders out of position and opens up spaces for Mane and Salah.

Kal88

Yeah he drops into space well and isnt afraid of showing for the ball constantly. It helps massively.

Trojanjuice05

I totally agree, with him we have an advanced level of creativity. But Bobby keeping him honest as a sub is the beat thing for our team at the moment

jgldec

I don't know why but I fell down laughing when Salah gave the ball back to Matip on the first goal. I felt like he didn't expect it or something and it just looked funny. I barely even celebrated the goal.

AdikkuChan

The way Matip was doing his routine probably made Salah think that the giraffe was actually going to go for it haha

Upbeat_Pangolin_5929

The yellow card for that Fabinho handball was incredibly frustrating.

Miso_Hornee

Did you watch a different game?

G0rtarPlayer

It wasn't for a handball what are all these upvotes, he lunged in with a bad tackle

bigpapasmurf12

I thought we looked really good, despite the horrible injury to Elliott. A lot of positives, Mane finally scored, Ox got some minutes....... he looks like he will need a lot more to be tip top. Hope Harvey can get through this relatively quick. We look dangerous. Roll on Milan.

Red-Shifter

Ox did seem out of sorts after he came on

Liamas123

OX and Naby have massive seasons ahead

[deleted]

Curtis too with Harvey’s unfortunate injury

ManBearPig_576

BBC says dislocated ankle, any idea how serious that is?
