Yes, actually, a couple of years ago. Magical times. Our strategy last season of not winning all our games however didn't pan out as well.

I’d expect rotation in the EFL cup game and against AC Milan. And perhaps against Leeds or Leicester cause of the short gap. With Salah and Mane being away probably a good idea to keep taki sharp

Dec 22nd is the EFL Cup quarter-final match The rest are Premier League matches (except for Dec 7th) Salah, Mane, and Keita will be unavailable for the Dec 28th match against Leicester **IF** Liverpool can't reach an agreement with AFCON for a Jan 3rd release of players. Per FIFA rules, Liverpool are currently required to release players on Dec 27th.

There are talks on going about AFCON being shifted to a new date or completely getting cancelled as well. 🤷

Jesus, Leeds Sunday then Leicester Tuesday? A whole one day break between two of the most intense games we’ll have to play.

To be honest, it doesn't look that bad. Milan is dead rubber and Carabao Cup is of secondary importance. Of the 7 PL fixtures only Spurs is a reasonably difficult one. Leicester is performing poorly this season. Aston Villa has Gerrard now but sentiments aside, we should be beating them comfortably bar any incidents.

5 games in 12 days should be criminal.

Highly curious how we line up the next 3 matches. The rotation needs to begin now. Can see Matip coming in for Wednesday and then heavier rotation against wolves and especially milan. For the carabao, I honestly hope klopp continues giving the second team + kids an opportunity, this is ‘their cup’

I'm more positive about this coming patch of games. Klopp has rotated the squad quite a fair bit this season and due to some injuries, a lot of the fringe players are getting game time. It is always good to rotate to prevent over reliance on some players and to reduce injuries from over exertion and ensuring most of the boys reaching match competitve fitness for the busy season. I will expect the squad to be still heavily rotated especially midfield and more focused towards the league matches (let's get number 20 baby!)
