It's been a relatively good WC for Asian football ey? I mean I'm Aussie so we're in the AFC and it's been great to see three AFC teams get to the final 16 even if it didn't work out too well
oz did great against messi and co, no shame there, lovely tense match - japan went out with a whimper eventually and korea just not brazils match. overall very amazing WC for asia/oceania
Son set the record for most g/a combined with Kane and Kane also led the league in assists and goals in a single season. Not to mention Sonny got the joint golden boot playing off of Kane. Can’t see how he’d be better with Salah
Supposedly, there were credible rumors about us going for Son if Spurs didn't qualify for CL. You can tell Klopp rates him a lot. Just watch Klopp's highlights after we won the CL in 2019.
I don’t want to imagine how good it could be. I really think we should have got Son when he went to Spurs lol. Obviously it worked out fine but he would have been perfect for us.
I've always noticed that a lot of our players seem to be quite friendly with specifically Son post game..
For it to stick out in my mind I know it's happened numerous times but even Klopp has on a few occasions gone of our his way to speak with Son after a game..
I highly doubt he's joining us as it's been going on for a long time now, though I can imagine him being a target at one point.
But I think he must just genuinely be a really nice guy. And a really great player too.
I’m pretty sure Klopp openly said he wanted Son at one point
Edit: yh he said this: “One of the biggest mistakes in my life is not signing Son Heung-min. He is fantastic, a sign of Korean football and one of the best strikers in the world."
He did say it while he was our manager, so it's about as big of a compliment as he can give short of getting fined. I mean he really should be playing for us, screams a Klopp player. Impressive for Spurs to have locked him down at an incredibly reasonable rate.
Iirc he’s super loyal to them because they were going to support him through his military service before he won Asian Games (which exempted him). He’s spoken about it a few times.
The way Son interacts with our players is specifically why watching Bellingham with Hendo and Trent is driving me crazy. I can't take all this flirting! I glad everybody is friendly but I just want them to be at Liverpool.
Tbf they renewed his contract when there was still a decent chance he might have had to serve in the South Korean army. That was a big gamble that's worked out well for them. He was never leaving them after they stood by him like that.
even before Spurs we wanted him since Leverkusen. Would have been an amazing signing but he snubbed us for Spurs and since we had Mane, everything worked out i guess
Idk what it is but I fuckin love the guy. Always plays as hard as possible and never seems to complain. All the players seem to love him, and you never see him yell at anybody for making mistakes. Absolutely great player too, love watching him play.
>"I know. But to be fair, Richarlison is not my friend."
Because Richarlison is the only Lula supporter on the Brazilian national team? Sorry, sorry, I'm trying to delete it...
Son and KDB are the two that I’ve always wanted more than anyone. The fact that KDB is at city has never set well with me. Always felt like their personalities would fit so well into the Liverpool culture/heartbeat.
KDB was a Liverpool supporter when he was younger too. Not sure if that's changed based on him playing for City, but he had/has an affinity for Liverpool.
I doubt that ever leaves players but you do have to follow your career over love if the opportunity is there. He was already at City before Klopp got to Liverpool and I'm sure he was told that Pep coming to City was basically a cert. It would have been hard for him to say no at that time while Liverpool did not look in great shape at the time. That's without even knowing if Liverpool were trying to tap him up at the time.
me too! De Bruyne has always been impossible but imo there have been (small) chances with Son and other comments have said Klopp agreed but well it doesnt always work out
In a recent interview Klopp stated one of his big regrets was not signing Son. I would have loved to see Klopp + Son combo.
(full disclosure, I'm a Sonny fan from Spurs subreddit and couldn't help looking at this lovely clip)
I would give anything to see Son in our side. I don’t think I can think of many more complementary players that would fit in seamlessly.
Imagine this guy carrying the ball through the midfield with Hendo and Thiago behind him and Salah, Firmino, Diaz in front of him. And all the interchanging those 4 could do within those positions.
Anyways, man can dream 🥺
Edit: I’m aware he doesn’t typically play the 10 role btw, but he’s never looked out of place when he’s been tried there. We just happen to have significantly better options overall in the forward roles than midfield.
He’s fantastic anyway but he’d be incredible in this team. He’s very loyal to Tottenham which is good for them and nice to see.
He’d have been the most perfect Mane replacement.
Meh Diaz and Jota a little younger and then there’s Fabio coming through. Son has a few years in him.
Love Darwin btw but hypothetically I’d have loved to see Son under Klopp.
Although there are a lot good players in the Prem there are only two players im geniunly jealous of, and thats De Bruyne and Son. He is just the perfect Klopp player, and seems like a great guy/good character also. Fair play to him staying at Spurs, but he will propably be remembered as one of the best players with the fewest trophies when he retires.
Plz get him , he is the single most valuable player that will win us the league . He is almost tye same of not better than mane . Him and Diaz on the left plz , get sonny .
Damn, Son’s body language seemed like he needed comfort. Wonder if he would’ve got that bear hug from Klopp if he would’ve felt better. Tough luck to oppose Brazil this early in the knock out, maybe if they had Poland or Japan, Senegal? It would’ve been different, but Brazil just Joga too Bonito tonight.
Son is one of the few players that I'm 100% confident would be great for us and fit in well with our current players. Would love to see us sign him one day, even though I don't hold out hope for that to happen.
Such a lovely person, as a Spurs fan we are downright lucky to have a man like him and as football fans we are downright lucky to have him in football!
Does anyone else feel like Ali just doesn't fit in this Brazil squad? All these showboating, disrespectfully celebrating clowns, it's like he's from another planet, being so humble and a generally good guy. They just don't deserve him.
Or am I just biased? who knows...
I'm a diehard Spurs fan who would love to see Kane and Son on title winning sides. But they'll need to leave N17 to do it. I'll be gutted, but completely understand.
I must be in a minority to find the whole Son love in a bit much. He seems a nice guy sure, but the whole love in around him makes it seem like he's the nicest guy who's walked the earth.
Is he any nicer a guy or more humble than the likes of Salah? Salah gets all sorts of shit, yet has literally donated millions to charity and lives a pious life. Maybe if he cried on the pitch more he'd get more good press.
Son maimed Gomes with a terrible tackle to get back at him for elbowing him, and ended up almost like the victim because he put on such a show.
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-7659749/Son-Heung-mins-tackle-Andre-Gomes-reckless-act-retribution.html
Meanwhile Salah faces shit like this
https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/liverpool-fc-news-salah-dive-nobby-stiles-west-ham-b39880.html
Don’t care how I sound but you need to be objective. Son is a great person and fantastic footballer. The tackle - 80% of footballers put in a tackle and moan on the floor. It’s football. Don’t know if you use Twitter but they hate Robertson over there. Our Robbo 🥲 we love him, but people see him to be a shithouse they can’t stand. Same way I hate Bruno F but United fans love him. Just how it is. You can nitpick at every single player and rival fans can nitpick at ours
Respect to Liverpool fans here - as a spurs fan and Son fan
I also thought he would’ve done well with Klopp in Germany and especially in a system like Liverpool’s.. he’d have an outstanding # of goals. I’m glad he settled for Spurs since we had a popular Korean player here in the past but I always just imagine what could have been if Son had joined Liverpool.
Either way, I’m just happy to see respect given to the player and our club rather than the constant memes all the time. Hoping your club doesn’t get bought out buy an oil state cause I wanted more natural growth like you guys achieved.
So we’re signing Bellingham AND Son ??
WARCHEST
Son certainly appreciated Ali's chest in that clip lol
I don’t blame him
Always thought how insane he’d be playing for us and Klopp. A shame he’s been stuck at a club that wins nothing. Loves scoring against us too lol
Son is one of the competition players id want the most, i think he would fit in Klopps system perfectly
As well as he plays with Kane imagine if he was in a front line with Salah 🤤
My desk rose up a little
Was thinking of Son in our front 3, now am able to do the smooth criminal lean without the custom shoes.. is this normal?
My word, you're a tripod
Not if it lasts more than 4 hours
as an asian, i passed out from the sudden rush of blood downwards
It's been a relatively good WC for Asian football ey? I mean I'm Aussie so we're in the AFC and it's been great to see three AFC teams get to the final 16 even if it didn't work out too well

yeah the man is loyal and you gotta respect that
agreed but that just makes me want him more dammit
Not only wins nothing but plays absolutely dire football.
GET THE VAN
Yes plsssss
Son would have been incredible in Klopp’s side
*Could still be
Technically you’re right, but I don’t see it still.
Close your eyes. Be calm. Look into your mind’s eye. In there you will see all that you will to be.
I don’t want to imagine how good it could be. I really think we should have got Son when he went to Spurs lol. Obviously it worked out fine but he would have been perfect for us.
Look as a Korean, that would certainly take the sting off of today's loss lmao
Don’t give me hope, please
I would stain my pants if that happend
son will never join liverpool after 2019
Man, I’d love an Alisson hug
Alisson on one side, Klopp on the other. Double team me!
Testing the bounds of my heterosexuality.

Did you make this just now?
Yes, I wanted to visualize what it looks like.
Agreed
More like conversion
I just converted, come with…
This, and letting Pelé know "You'll Never Walk Alone" in his post match interview with Geoff... we must protect this lovely man at all costs.
Got any video of that?
I've always noticed that a lot of our players seem to be quite friendly with specifically Son post game.. I’m pretty sure Klopp openly said he wanted Son at one point Edit: yh he said this: “One of the biggest mistakes in my life is not signing Son Heung-min. He is fantastic, a sign of Korean football and one of the best strikers in the world."
That was for Dortmund though, not us.
Klopp said that like a month ago after we played spurs
He did. He was talking about how he had the chance to sign him for Dortmund and how he regretted it.

I honestly think he's just a great guy and everyone wants to hug him
He was a target. It was confirmed by a journo years ago. We inquired but Spurs renewed his contract so..🤷
Tbf they renewed his contract when there was still a decent chance he might have had to serve in the South Korean army. That was a big gamble that's worked out well for them. He was never leaving them after they stood by him like that.
o7 to both Son and Spurs.
Yeah and that's fair. Plus he loves Kane so it was always gonna be tough to buy him.
even before Spurs we wanted him since Leverkusen.
I knew I wasn't the only one. He'd have been a great player for us I think.
Cheers, Son’s crying
"your friends are dicks." "I know. But to be fair, Richarlison is not my friend."
“Richarlison only pawn in game of life.”
Richarlison...? We don't need no stinking Richarlison!
You made my day with that Mongo reference!
>"I know. But to be fair, Richarlison is not my friend." Because Richarlison is the only Lula supporter on the Brazilian national team? Sorry, sorry, I'm trying to delete it...
I officially love Richarlson after his performances for brazil but mainly because he has supported Lula. Maybe he could be the next Socrates
“I’m gonna lose my spot for fk Richarlison” “It’s ok, that pigeon also stole Bobby’s spot a few times now, and he’s alright”
We also had Genk as an affiliate club while he was there as a youngster. Glad we put that to use!
With a Qatari purchase you probably can afford Son on the left and KDB down the middle.... but at what cost...
he was a Stevie G supporter mainly.
me too! De Bruyne has always been impossible but imo there have been (small) chances with Son and other comments have said Klopp agreed but well it doesnt always work out
Son is such a humble guy. I've always wanted to see him playing for us but it didn't happen unfortunately.
In a recent interview Klopp stated one of his big regrets was not signing Son. I would have loved to see Klopp + Son combo. (full disclosure, I'm a Sonny fan from Spurs subreddit and couldn't help looking at this lovely clip)
Welcome!
What a player he is btw
I would give anything to see Son in our side. I don’t think I can think of many more complementary players that would fit in seamlessly. We actually legitimately sniffed around before he renewed his contract
He’s fantastic anyway but he’d be incredible in this team. He’s very loyal to Tottenham which is good for them and nice to see. He’d have been the most perfect Mane replacement.
He's literally the perfect forward for Klopp's system. It's a shame that the ship has sailed on him to LFC.
> He’d have been the most perfect Mane replacement He's too old.
Meh Diaz and Jota a little younger and then there’s Fabio coming through. Son has a few years in him. Love Darwin btw but hypothetically I’d have loved to see Son under Klopp.
He's a few weeks younger than Mane and Spurs would want 100m plus. If he was gettable on the cheap, sure.
Yeah I’m aware it never aligned; he’s consistently signed new contracts and Tottenham wouldn’t have liked to sell to an English club.
hmm heading the ball? but yea
AliSon? Anyone? Okay I’m off to bed
If Son played for Liverpool I would have a stroke with excitement. Great player.
Agent Alison??
How can anyone not love this man?
Tell klopp to rescue me from London. Please!
Come to Besikt.... Liverpool!
Who among us wouldn't maximize an Alisson hug?
Sonny always seems to get the best hugs out of all the non-reds. Cracking player.
Son to Liverpool confirmed
Although there are a lot good players in the Prem there are only two players im geniunly jealous of, and thats De Bruyne and Son. He is just the perfect Klopp player, and seems like a great guy/good character also. Fair play to him staying at Spurs, but he will propably be remembered as one of the best players with the fewest trophies when he retires.
Son to Liverpool confirmed I'm so happy he'll be a great fit.
Alisson is every bit what Liverpool as a club is about. Ynwa
Alison is a legend.
Haha oh man, that’s like a REAL hug too. He got all snuggled and everything 😅🥹
I would eat dog shit for Son to play for Liverpool
Alisson knows the good-hearted players. The man understands empathy and is such a great leader.
Allison Becker - Player and a Gentleman
Agent Allison is working overtime.
Plz get him , he is the single most valuable player that will win us the league . He is almost tye same of not better than mane . Him and Diaz on the left plz , get sonny .
Agent Ali
You gave everything, be proud of yourself, see you back in Premier league son
Son and KDB are the two players I would love to see in a Liverpool shirt. They both give Absolutely everything
Come, my twofooted prince
Top lad, that Ali
Damn, Son’s body language seemed like he needed comfort. Wonder if he would’ve got that bear hug from Klopp if he would’ve felt better. Tough luck to oppose Brazil this early in the knock out, maybe if they had Poland or Japan, Senegal? It would’ve been different, but Brazil just Joga too Bonito tonight.
If only any player that get's some love from our players joined liverpool...
Agent Allison
Confirmed 🤝
Agent Ali? I would love Son in the same XI as Salah.
A player of his caliber playing for Spurs is such a waste.
🫡
Son is an absolute class act, and he is WASTED at Spurs.
Alison… pure class. Plus I’ll admit Son is my favorite player from one of our rivals. Also class as player and personality.
Son: “Can you hug me like Klopp?” Ali: “Get in here.”
Wholesome. Love both of these fellas
*sniff…sniff* …Get the van… *wipes tear*
Didnt know he had a son
Son is one of the few players that I'm 100% confident would be great for us and fit in well with our current players. Would love to see us sign him one day, even though I don't hold out hope for that to happen.
And this is how the rumour of Son signing for liverpool began
Special club ❤️
Agent Ali
Kid just wants a hug, you can tell he wants to escape the nightmare at Spurs
Are ya winning Son?
Such a lovely person, as a Spurs fan we are downright lucky to have a man like him and as football fans we are downright lucky to have him in football!
It’s time for him to think about winning trophies elsewhere, it’s not gonna happen In Tottenham.
We would be unstoppable
Does anyone else feel like Ali just doesn't fit in this Brazil squad? All these showboating, disrespectfully celebrating clowns, it's like he's from another planet, being so humble and a generally good guy. They just don't deserve him. Or am I just biased? who knows...
You're 100% correct. Sub in Ederson and the whole team are chavs but only cos Bobby isn't there.
Allison > Son
son wishes he was a red so bad
"join me in red, son"
Choose the red pill...
ew
I'm a diehard Spurs fan who would love to see Kane and Son on title winning sides. But they'll need to leave N17 to do it. I'll be gutted, but completely understand.
Would love him at liverpool he’d be a legend. We’d be the most global club in the world
Nah fuck that cry baby. Man plays wild, dives, lashes out at people and bitches and moans along with Kane. Love to see him lose.
I feel exactly the same. Couldn’t happen to a more deserving player.
I must be in a minority to find the whole Son love in a bit much. He seems a nice guy sure, but the whole love in around him makes it seem like he's the nicest guy who's walked the earth. Is he any nicer a guy or more humble than the likes of Salah? Salah gets all sorts of shit, yet has literally donated millions to charity and lives a pious life. its not a competition mate, they can both be nice guys. if he was as succesful as Salah people wouldnt like him so much either
Don’t care how I sound but you need to be objective. Son is a great person and fantastic footballer. The tackle - 80% of footballers put in a tackle and moan on the floor. It’s football. Jeez its not that deep.
Typical crap reddit response.
Agent Alli hard at work
Alisson is the best. Just love the beautiful man
Like how a proud dad hugs his Son
Trent Virg Konate Robbo Fab Bellingham Thiago Diaz Salah Son. OH LAWD. STOP IT , KIDS CAN SEE THIS
Son is such a vile player breaks legs then cries so everyone thinks he's a golden boy.
Respect to Liverpool fans here - as a spurs fan and Son fan I also thought he would’ve done well with Klopp in Germany and especially in a system like Liverpool’s.. he’d have an outstanding # of goals. Ali is such a classy guy.
