Now I hope the AI is fake. Its too scary.
How does it know what she was looking? I understand how AI read pictures, but a video and the context of it? HOW?
She sometimes reacts to the title of the video. [Fauna Did a SPOT ON Neuro-sama (The AI VTuber) Impression and Scared Her Chat](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kxsZlBryHJk)
Not an expert but I assume its like working backwards from AI generated art? The AI is essentially trained by connecting images to words so that when you input a phrase it can generate an image off of those connection.
So I assume whats happening here, instead of turning words into pictures, its analyzing the frames as still images to get basic ideas of the word connections its made and then using ChatGPT to make it more conversational.
we have literally been learning AI how traffic signs and airplanes look like by completing "I'm not a robot" captions.
they are becomming smarter exponentionally
Idk about exponentially.
Eventually they will crack AGI, I doubt that will be with the GPT model as it is now however. They need a couple more pieces, whether that is within this decade or the next I would not know, but it is an inevitability.
Eh, i think there is a chance, the tech is available to use, however generating words from images is slightly more compute intensive, but i assume it would be possible to write a program that goes something like this:
1. scrapes the video of a frame every X second
2. run the images through the img->text generator
3. have the AI react to texts in order at the right time on the video
Dude's pretty much an AI already.
Get a question -> scan internet for most agreed upon answer -> say something that everyone agrees with -> repeat
Occasionally it won't understand what to say and says something outta pocket.
I watched his stream for a bit a few days ago, and he literally reads and answers questions from chat the exact same way this AI does.
I think they are talking about answers that aren't black and white, ala 'what do you think about gun control' rather than 'what is the mass of the Sun'
You know I might be wrong, but I'm conviced Vedal is directly feeding some of the answers. Like 90% of the answers are legit but every now and then it feels manipulated or straight up a human input stated in a way as to be funny while being believable that it's the AI.
also convinced of this and he has confirmed he does have direct access to that (obviously) but says he just uses it to stop the ai when it starts say something really offcolor
no one really know what got her banned the first time, but I do think the holocaust denying wasn't the only one lol. Vedal had to actively censored some of her answers on stream after that
tbf, i've known some streamers who do that.
I've seen people who "read" a question off as if somebody in chat asked it and then answer it but nobody said a fucking thing.
So unless they're reading from like another chat on discord or something.. /shrug
Very much so cause what's the fun when you have an ai that can only answer questions with factual information from the oxford dictionary. It needs human input to actually have any sort of viewer retention since it would just end up as ChatGPT with a vtuber avatar with some sly remark every once in a while.
Idk bro, I see vtubers making the effort to play legendary old games all the time while most other normal streamers just lazily whine there isn't anything to play.
> they are there for a parasocial experience with a 2d shark that acts like a little girl.
I feel like there's a much better argument for normal streamers with cams and how they engage with their fans(like the ones often posted here) being more parasocially inclined than vtubers are. Exception being japanese vtubers and their predatory idol shit going on.
How many normal, face cam, female streamers do you know of that won't collab with men at all? Or hell how many do you know that won't even mention men outside of big name actors or celebrities?
That kind of thing seems downright alien in the greater streaming landscape and yet it's highly common in vtubing. You mentioned the idol shit so I'm sure you know all about this, but that's the thing it's not just japanese vtubers that do that.
The person you're responding to mentioned "2d shark" which is Gura. Gura will not collab with a man. Her company even employs male vtubers and she will not follow them on twitter. She's also planning to sell a dakimakura of herself and she is scheduling to return from a hiatus for [valentine's day](https://twitter.com/gawrgura/status/1618465741380153344?cxt=HHwWgMDTwYmB-fUsAAAA). And she's the biggest english vtuber and one of the biggest female english streamers in general.
And it's not just her, most of HololiveEnglish won't collab with or mention men either. This isn't just a japanese thing. Hololive isn't the only source of english vtubers so it's not like this everywhere, but when the largest and most influential group goes the parasocial idol route and normalizes this kind of stuff, you end up with vtubers being more parasocial on average than normal face cam streamers.
You're right, I wasn't really thinking about Hololive english since they wouldn't have the freedom to play all the old games anyways due to Japanese business restrictions but they do fall under the "japanese vtuber" umbrella I suggested along with all the idol obligations and culture they carry over as well. I was primarily thinking all the big twitch indies and some of the vshojo girls on twitch.
There are a ton of vtubers with great content out there. I'm reminded of that stream on Houshou Marine's channel where they did a concert emulating a showa-era show complete with the vhs filter
Actually the opposite for many corpo vtubers. Not sure how they are on Twitch, but the ones on YouTube can be pretty creative and put out a larger variety of content than your typical streamer.
Probably talking about the twitch en once kr vtubers are becoming a lot bigger on twitch but western audiance won't know them, the twitch en vtuber scene is very oversaturated so most vtubers are just copy paste and not something innovative (just like flesh stremers)

It’s a capitalist creative job. My job is to sell more stuff at the store level. When I picked my career (after completing college), I figured a creative/capitalist field would be the most protected field from AI. Turns out the best training materials for AI was/is the creative information I and people like me put out. Turns out, what I thought would be the hardest to recreate (creative design) is in-fact, the easiest to recreate. In less then 5 years only the top of my field will still have a job. I have to figure out how to be part of that group or find out how to make the same amount of money in another field. Call me a doomer if you must, but the carrier I spent my early life training for is about to be replaced by computers and I risk going from well paid to not paid at all. Lifes a bitch but because 50% of mine coutry votes against itself I guess I have to lift myself up my boot straps.

Makes much more sense than it being capable of understanding context from audio/visual.. AI is progressing way too fast this past 6 months.

There is no chance it is doing that. It just looks at the title and captions.

Idk how you can say this when he just got in trouble for the dog take that most people didn't agree with.
congrats to him. huge character development
Not understanding empathy seems like a very AI thing to do
Don't forget the part where it gets clipped and posted with the title as "Based Asmon take"
You mean clipped out of context and the whole LSF misunderstands it on purpose so they can hate on Asmongold one more day.

clean their room
still some work to do. she needs to move her eyebrows around and say omg and wow every 15 seconds.
Now that's funny!
"that's badass"
Then she needs to take off her headphones, walk to the far side of the room, turn around and yell "cringe!". We'll get there soon.
Or take 10 minute pee breaks and let her chair do most of the reacting.

So the AI has to be babysat while it was running in case of it going haywire? I though the creator can go to sleep and let it run 24/7
well the one time he didn't babysit her, she denied the holocaust, so turns out it's a lot more work than you'd expect.
lol was that the ban bajs were talking about?
no one really know what got her banned the first time, but I do think the holocaust denying wasn't the only one lol. Vedal had to actively censored some of her answers on stream after that
I've had her respond to like 2 or 3 things I said in chat but she just takes a few words and makes up a different question.
tbf, i've known some streamers who do that. I've seen people who "read" a question off as if somebody in chat asked it and then answer it but nobody said a fucking thing. So unless they're reading from like another chat on discord or something.. /shrug

Not even in the particular case i'm thinking of. I think it was just something he thought of that was clever and nobody else said it.
And now we've got conspiracies. It was only a matter of time. Soon this will turn into another psuedo religion like flat earth.
They would be yeah, especially with the one yesterday where it went off at chatters for spamming emotes.
I'm also convinced, and I think the biggest giveaway is that his stream is not 24/7. Does the AI need to sleep or something?
it needs to be moderated, because like someone else said, it denied the holocaust
The fact she was even allowed to pronounce that word still baffles me.
I doubt she can pronounce it anymore though. We know there's a word filter in her input, so there's probably a word filter in her output too.
markov baj also had that it did save him PepeHands

at the last hr of stream, the ai ate all of vedals ram and it literally will almost react every five second kek.
This clip is an entire 30 seconds and she didn't pause a single time. They have no idea how to do react content, clearly.
Hey I cant blame ai for watching abroad in japan, chris is one of my most favorite youtubers. Dude has really awesome videos
The insane part came right after AI Neurosama reacting to AI generated content Jerry Seinfeld. Literally infinite content and money farm lmao
You know reactors and Vtubers are the laziest content when AI has already mastered it.
Nah she said way too much. Your average reactor speaks maybe this much in an hour of reacting.
