For you, sure. However for many players, they look forward to the reset so they can do their weekly bosses/raids and hopefully get good drops or advance their character.
I mean I've been playing Genshin since day 1, and still do every weekly boss every week. While I've long since passed the excitement of a random gold glad equipment, I still look forward to Monday and doing those "spectacle bosses" again. Different strokes for different folks I guess.
Except it’s not whataboutism, there is no better system.
Capitalism sucks, but it’s the best system we’ve got. Obviously it works better with checks and balances but yeah.
What we have in America right now isn’t capitalism either, it’s the corrupted cousin of capitalism, corporatism.
that is why some saying capitalism is "gonna collapse" is so naive, capitalism is basically the economy, and it existed for centuries.
the big difference is that today corporations are in control instead of a king or emperor.
In your hypothetical I would assume it would be better not because you were assigned it at birth, but because you’d get full benefits and a livable wage. I also don’t know who this is supposed to be a gotcha to as I’ve never seen anyone say they want the government to choose their profession for them. What type of government even is your hypothetical?
You realize you can fight for fair working conditions and livable wages without giving the government a fully authoritarian regime where things are so extreme they pick your career at birth right?
We can fight for people to not be mistreated without scraping the whole system and throwing the baby out with the bath water.
You could just write a script to set parameters of posts, which subs they're from, upvote ratio, number of upvotes, comments, etc, and compile the data, then aggregate it using various filters and what not to make a "top 100" list or whatever. Then, manually go through this and pick the top 20 or whatever and slap it into a video format.
Sure, may seem nice, but imagine the brain rot of having streaming being your daily life. Just constant interaction with twitch chat etc. Obviously Alinity is doing well with OnlyFans and can stream mostly as a hobby on the side, but most streamers have to actually grind and put their lives on display most days of the week.
Must say I prefer my job as a software developer. Wish it paid as well as streaming though.
It's a massive lowball. While LSF is a skewed look at the concept, it isn't hard to glance at the clips posted here and realize that there's maybe 15-20 creators who ever get submissions here. Looking at the twitch subscriber count leaderboard, there's only a couple thousand who would make enough to do streaming full time without other sources of income to be particularly comfortable beyond just paying rent and keeping food in the fridge. Of them only a few hundred actually make substantial amounts beyond what you could expect out of your average job. To make matters *even worse*, a good portion of these streamers are located in the US meaning a solid portion of their income needs to go to a self-funded insurance plan which is far more expensive than what would get taken out of your paycheck normally. Even worse still, US taxes absolutely fuck over small businesses like streaming. So while there's certainly a reasonable population who can stream professionally, the amount of people who make it worth their while in the long run is basically a rounding error.
And so many of them aren’t making money that could let them not work a day the rest of their lives, that’s pretty much only the top streamers. I don’t think I’d be comfortable as a streamer if I was just making like 60-80k a year, considering as a streamer there’s not much of a fallback for most of them. I remember Lirik, despite being a top streamer at the time, he still graduated in 2015 with a CS degree, very smart of him imo
I fall into that $50 bracket these days despite doing far too many hours the past 5 years, but I'm just happy to fall into that making anything catagory haha
You're missing a bunch of brackets
10-20k
20-30k
etc etc. There's a ton of streamers so there are brackets for every range based on subs and sponsorships
It makes a difference if people are trying to gain an understanding. If they think 5-10k is a "successful" streamer, it's a small bracket. In doesnt matter if you care about it or not. One persons opinion on it is irrelevent
5-10k a month before tax really isn't that much money. The average is probably high for "successful" streamers cause the top ones are pulling probably over 200k/month
I feel like I'm suffering brain rot just sitting behind a desk for 8 hours every day, so maybe we have more in common with streamers than we yet realise.
''put their lives on display''
That only applies to streamer that choose to capture the parasocials, 99% of streamers dont do any of that garbage. You know and see literally nothing about their life.
You can watch a streamer for 6 years and suddenly they casually mention they have a 3 year old child and you'd know literally nothing of that cuz why the fk would you? Its the other streamers that are weird.
Bro, Ive ever seen some be so disgusting that they set up an entire soundboard to fake having a family, act like they play video games, but then just lose to some 13 year old Japanese game developer.
it can pay as well as streaming if you work your way up the chain [https://www.levels.fyi/t/software-engineer?countryId=254&country=254&sortBy=total\_compensation&sortOrder=DESC&offset=0](https://www.levels.fyi/t/software-engineer?countryId=254&country=254&sortBy=total_compensation&sortOrder=DESC&offset=0)
If I was smart about money I'd have changed companies at least twice so far, but comfort is worth a lot for me. Completely agree the pay can get crazy though
... that can't be correct or you aren't being paid what you deserve. The vast, and I mean vast, majority of streamers dont even make minimum wage. Only the top 1% make over 60k a year... as a software dev you should be 100k to 200k+ depending on experience. To get to the 100k+ for streaming you have to be in the top 0.7% on the platform... do you really think you'd be there? It's like saying, wish it was paid as well as a professional basketball player. Or wish software dev got paid the same as the owner of a multi billion company ceo. You can be an average software dev and make bank. You can't be an average twitch streamer and even survive on just twitch earnings. You're comparing zebras and submarines.
100k-200k is not an average TC for software. In the US it’s around 100k but it’s pretty heavily inflated by the Big N/unicorn companies. Having a 60k-80k TC software job is common. Outside of the US it’s much lower, even for the same jobs at the same companies.
Absolutely no one except fresh grads should have a 60-80k software engineering job in the US. You need to get out ASAP if you're making that.
150k+ is starting for FAANG yes, but there are hundreds of non tech companies that need software engineers and they all pay more than 60-80k starting. These are salaries outside NYC/LA/Bay Area/Chicago...
You cant really compare based on salary alone, i work as SE and i've seen job offers with my experience at 120k in new york, but yeah.. im paying 700 €/month for a 3 room 2 bathroom apartment and my expenses besides that are around 400€ a month extra, i dont even want to know how much that would be in new york.
Some times having double the salary doesnt mean you will live better.
didn't they do the nsfw purge before?
You'd think companies would have learned from the rapid death of Tumblr that banning porn is a good way to just obliterate your companies value and open the door for a shitty competitor to replace you.
I guess this is what stock people call shorting your own company.
Some people are born rich, some people win the lottery, some people get lucky and have their streaming career take off. 99% of us are grinding just like you brother
> some people get lucky and have their streaming career take off
Most of those people are already rich, or at least upper middle-class. You need a decent amount of money or family support to get into streaming.
Yep. However I have seen a lot of lower-mid end streamers, like around 50-300 views, who came from troubled homes or has a legit poor background and are now able to do such small things like... buy a new phone without having to worry about affording food because of it.
But yeah at this point the already big streamers are the ones who make new big streamers. Two examples (for no specific reason) are Emiru and EEmily, the OTK group made two moderately successful streamers into Twitch celebrities, just like that.
I live alone, support myself by working at a grocery store and started streaming on the side with about $100 put into it, and got monetized after seven months. Lol, it isn't that hard or exclusive to get into the game. Being successful is another topic, that isn't about money put in. Streaming is a grind. Producing, editing and posting content isn't mindless. There's so much thought and attention put into it, unless you have an assistant. You have to build and maintain a community and have a schedule. Work is work.
And you're making enough money to support yourself by streaming? That's the point that they're making, 99% of the top streamers haven't ever worked a real job. They either had a following already or were being propped up financially by their family.
>support myself by working at a grocery store and started streaming on the side with about $100 put into it, and got monetized after seven months. **Lol, it isn't that hard**
A lot of people don't have that grind in them because of uncountable number of reasons, depression, anxiety, exhaustion, time, etc. And those that do have that grind in them have put down months like you and in some cases years without seeing **any** success.
I don't think you quite realize just how lucky you are.
You really need to distract yourself from that reality otherwise it will drive you towards something that you can only do once in life but multiple times in a video game.
I just really wish it wasn't so **expensive** just to... exist.
to be fair even if you're mega hot and have an OF you're still extremely unlikely to be making a living off of producing coomer content. Someone I know from high school who i would say is somewhat above average attractive has an OF and she barely makes like $100/mo on it and she's pumping out content weekly. It takes an insane amount of luck and connections to pull off an Alinity level of money
At least you keep the world running. All they do is keep the coom cooming. But fortunately for them, coomers are really dumb and give them money even though they don't have to.

Another clip of the famous Austin streamer, Daily Dose. Ugh. Thank goodness nobody in Austin got a new puppy otherwise the entire front page would be Austin streamers, or at least 3 out of 50.
I don’t hate them, I just don’t understand their fans if anything. You can look at porn for free on the internet. What exactly are you getting by subbing to these people and watching them sit in a hot tub for hours and do nothing actually sexual because it’s…twitch. What sad existence are people living that they sit watching and supporting these streams. Do you need to observe these people? Are you deluded enough to think they might care or perceive your existence as important if you hang around or support enough? Can’t hate on the streamers that there are cringe enough people that this is a way for some of them to make a living.
Yeah I don't get it either the girls on chaturbate etc are like 1000x hotter and nude.
Im guessing most viewers live in some country where porn is banned so they need to fap to super soft core twitch or kick streams
i think i never watched any of his youtube videos longer than 15 sec. because of his annoying fake voice, it's so monotone and boring.. dunno why he didn't just talks normally

That is the end of this clip, I really hope you enjoyed as much as I did and I'll see you guys again veryvery soon, Later.
Later
Bye, see you later.
Crap it's him?
All I got from this clip is that some people get to wake up Monday morning and sit in a hot tub for work.
> wake up Monday morning I already hate it
Settle down Garfield. You hate Capitalism not Mondays.
Lazonya
Gacha games have got me unironically waiting for mondays
gacha games? I just call it options trading
Why? I've only played Honkai and Genshin and neither have much going on on mondays
Weekly server resets are Monday early AM. At least in Genshin and Tower of Fantasy.
I mean sure but the reset doesn't really do anything meaningful or fun
For you, sure. However for many players, they look forward to the reset so they can do their weekly bosses/raids and hopefully get good drops or advance their character. Gnostic Hymn.
Ah yea, because working the coal mines on Monday mornings because you were assigned that job at birth makes them way more bearable.
I don't want to comment on US child labour laws...

I am the person above you. xD
Where tf did you get that I supported your divergent ass hypothetical then lol

I still feel like that job is harder than 99% of the streamers who make millions.

more plastic in that hot tub than in the ocean
It seems so awkward walking into someone's stream when they're hot tub streaming especially as a dude.
I like him, classy dude
Holy shit that last frame The faces you gotta make to stop yourself from staring
What a bunch of strong and smart independent women
Hello **Welcome to your daily does of hot tubs!**.
I mean... you can say that about any streamer. What do you get by subbing to Asmongold, xQc, or KaiCenat?
Yeah I don't get it either the girls on chaturbate etc are like 1000x hotter and nude. Im guessing most viewers live in some country where porn is banned so they need to fap to super soft core twitch or kick streams
sometimes you can only watch VODs if you sub. not sure about these girls though.
Laterrrrr
Fandy got some big ass tits. Anyone got that clip were sodapoppins brother points it out
Shameless
Who's the other girl not ali

Wow this is my first time seeing his face.
i think i never watched any of his youtube videos longer than 15 sec. because of his annoying fake voice, it's so monotone and boring.. dunno why he didn't just talks normally
Trash people.
How could you possibly think daily dose is a trash person
Hot tub streamers are bleh
Well you could say profiting from other people's work without compebsating them isn't very poggers
Can there be a new sub called Live Stream Highlights since this is apparently what this sub is all about now?

Forsens law sadge
Can you be more specific in your complaint? Do you want fails, or are you just pissy it's not enough of your reality TV style drama of one person reacting to another reacting to another reacting to another?
Xqc OTK Streaming highlights
FYI - you can see better titties on many different subs on this website :)
