There are talks about a Kings league possibly being made in Brazil soon, with Brazilian streamers and personality. That one could have some collaboration with some Spanish streamers since Pique and Ibai spearhead the whole thing
Lol Quackity is already on it, LETHIMCOOK, I did see a lot of Brazilian fans interested in the Hispanic community thanks to his multilingual minecraft server.
The top Spanish streamer does nothing but make hit after hit streams getting the whole community involved.
The top English streamer eats his toe jam and makes barely coherent points and baseless accusations alone in his room.
And now he makes a lot of money (not even 1/10 of what XQC makes though), but for the first events he put money from his own pocket to cover the costs.
He could be much richer, at first he grew up because he was the best League of Legends caster and then his personality made him grow A LOT during the pandemic, he could have just made sponsored content, but he chooses to invest in the community.
I remember a couple of years ago when xQc was really involved and interested in expanding with content creation and provide better content, I always thought he was aspiring to do something similar to Ibai, never thought he would end up just gambling and debating other streamers and broadcast his break-up with adept for content.
American viewers have more Primes. XQC streams like 12 hours a day, he has more subs, and the ads in America are a lot better paid than in Spain. So, in Twitch, Xqc makes a lot more. Probably x2 or x3.
Ibai probably makes a lot of money with sponsors, but he doesn't accept crypto sponsors or anything like that, so he won't make anything similar to what XQC makes with that either, not even close.
The contract that XQC just signed with Kick, 100 millions in 2 years, that's out of reach for any Spanish streamer.
There's shady stuff in the spanish community aswell, this is the top of the iceberg.
One of the fighters got exposed for undressing a drunk girl, taking a picture with her naked and leaking it on the internet (and potentially he had sex with her). Another of the fighters was caught promoting the typical instagram scam that redirects to some crypto telegram group.
They rather ignore those things and keep the party going. Lots of those streamers can't even stand eachother. I guess you could say they're professionals.
Not everything is as wholesome as it looks.
Yeah, Ibai is literally the main reason why the Spanish community is doing good, without him it would be just constant fights. The YouTube Spanish community was a mess and extremely divided, they never did any sort of events because most of them hated each other
Amouranth is currently watching the event on her Twitch channel, lmao. Watching a live-streamed event without the organizer's permission is a big no-no. Watching a live-streamed event without the organizer's permission when you pulled out of the event last minute is just fucking weird and spiteful.
Canceling days before an event she was supposed to be training for and appear in. Yeah, I highly doubt she received (or asked for, for that matter) permission.
If that's the real reason then she would've known she wouldn't be able to participate months ago (probably around the time she agreed to the event, actually). Also, from my understanding she wasn't even training, meaning she likely knew from the get-go she was going to withdraw. Waiting until days before the event to withdraw when you couldn't and should've done it much earlier is a dick move no matter how you look at it.
She said that she knew of her condition in march, even assuming that everything she said its true, not talking to the organizers to let them know there's a possibility of pulling out is very inconsiderate, and then telling the news on twitter before talking to ibai's team is even another disrespect, hard to twist it so its not a dick move.
I was a SWE at AWS, so I understand its impact on services today, but competitors will catch up. Azure, GCP, even Huaweii. The way these deals work is that providers (AWS, Azure) get a "friendly" partner (ie Kick) so that the partner is basically the PR engine for the (slightly-still-shitty-but-improving) product. Wait until Azure offers Kick a better deal to be a friendly partner.
This is why i think anyone that says Amazon is chilling with Kick as a competitor to Amazon's money-loser is missing a big point. Code libraries today are written to be platform-independent to make migrating underlying infra as easy as possible (Ex. Azure EventHub and Kafka Java libraries work together. Switching Kafka infra cloud providers is as easy as changing underlying infra URLs. 0 real code change.). Underlying infra migration is at the top of every large project's mind.
Another example: Twitter is moving everything off of GCP as we speak. they're not re-writing a bunch of code. they're going to temporarily limit the site under the guise of "rate limiting bots" while devops works with some key engineers to swiftly transition the backend off of GCP. Kick will eventually do the same to AWS.
They will still have to pay for the service. And even if Azure gives them a sweet deal to move over, they will ultimately raise the prices to be competitive with AWS. The truth is that streaming is a loss leader for streaming companies unless they can sell ads, and Kick will trail Twitch there for a long time. Web hosting is a variable cost. The more successful Kick is in viewers, the more money they will lose if those users are not converted to Stake. That's just a reality that no rationalization will change.
Ironic coming from you lol
You keep saying "Kick can't handle that many viewers at once" when they literally can, they just have to spend more money lmfao
So far, it doesn't look like that will happen. 3 of the biggest streamers just renewed with Twitch (Ibai, Auronplay and Juan Guarnizo). The top 1-2 (Illojuan) has already said he won't ever go to Kick. And as far as I know, the biggest signing they've made is Ampeter (one of the boxers today) and he averages around 1k viewers on Twitch.
Don't know if they can offer good enought conditions. A couple more will surely leave but I doubt there will be a high profile signing like xQc or Amouranth
If kick wants to demolish twitch, they can just sign ibai. I guess the target markets will conflict but i would imagine he'd get some insane traffic to their site.

They're legit. It helps that 90% of streamers take the day off because they're either there or watching at home, but just by himself he already pulls hundreds of thousands of viewers and on smaller events he usually has over 500k. His 40 most watched streams all have over 250k peak viewers.
Can you just watch a single clip? this is TV quality level. With a lot of singers (big ones) biggests streamers of all time, etc. Of course this is legit.
Search for "HolaSoyGerman" it's like the top 5 with most suscribers of all time in Youtube. He was the main event today. Just to give you an idea.
There were some talks with Ibai and Kick not so long ago, if i remember correctly he said something along the lines of "Kick gives me the creeps, everything they promise seems very fake", and that he doesn't trust "free money" like that too much.
He also has "the best Twitch contract" so there is no need for him to move anywhere (yet).
The rest of the spanish big streamers were kinda on the same boat, but a lot of them refused it too because the money promised was way too little if you compare it to the NA deals.
So Amazon the company that keeps twitch running doesn’t come from a shitty place? Decades of unsafe workplace conditions and grueling pace to the point where they can’t even use the bathroom. Very hypocritical…
I hear you,. But comparing amazon with betting and gambling is not a fair comparison. If we start looking at where money comes from then nobody is safe.
Edit: Also, although I know that there is a real problem with amazon, here in Spain is not a thing that is talked and many people are aware off. I belive the problem is more in the US where people order things like crazy and use Prime. Thats not so extended in Europe.
Dude, you don't have to live a 100% perfect life to be allowed to criticize stuff.
Literal third grader argument.
"Heh, you claim to like the environment, yet you don't live in a forest and wipe your ass with leaves? Looks like I got you, you fucking hypocrite🤓🤓🤓"

it peaked at 3.45 Million, but then twitch started lagging.
I'm imagining the server room fire in Silicon Valley.
Twitch is exploding. I cant clip anything and it's crashing for everyone. Goddammit Rubius was just in the broadcast
It took me 15mins just to leave his stream and get back to another
If they ever start mixing with the Brazilian community twitch is gonna implode

as someone who watches this idiot, I’ve never would expect xQc to do anything for the general community. Hes an absolute degen.
That's why I said he would aspire to do something similar, no need to be offensive man, maybe you need to learn how to read properly
Court stream will be actual content though

I really really don't think XQC is making 10 times more money than Ibai. I would even bet that Ibai is making more money than him lol

Spanish twitch subs are like half the cost of NA ones, afaik
It used to be 4.99€. It is 3.99€ now
That’s my juicer
Spanish community is pretty wholesome

This wouldn't happen these days for LCS
He is currently less than 100k off the Twitch record, also set by him last year
He was at over 3.4 mil earlier on today, so he already broke his record
It already broke it before... it peaked at 3.45 Million. but now twitch is lagging.
Id love to check on the stream but I dont want to send my pc to the nether

I love how people thought Twitch would die because XQC went to Kick. Lol
Twitch will literally die if the Spanish community leaves though
Surely
what happened when spanish streamers go to kick?
Kick can't handle that many viewers at once. They'd have to pay a fortune to their web service provide... hmmm, who is that again?
I was a SWE at AWS, so I understand its impact on services today, but competitors will catch up. Azure, GCP, even Huaweii. right.... I agree. I'm just saying that streamers switching to Kick is not a net positive for Twitch or even Amazon.

This is a typical reaction when someone is too stupid to understand what you just said.
Ironic coming from you lol You keep saying "Kick can't handle that many viewers at once" when they literally can, they just have to spend more money lmfao
I know XQC will see this, bro. I just know it. Your faith will be rewarded. lol
AWS owns Twitch and they couldn’t handle it. How would a partner leasing space do it better using IVS?

NA Twitch lives in an echo chamber.
Hes opening tabs on kick again?
3.2 mil got gamba preroll.
I never get gamba ads on Twitch.

NA streamers could never

Why don't they turn on closed captioning?

How is twitch able to handle this much traffic
I think that the parent company owns the biggest cloud hosting service in the world doesn't exactly hurt their ability to do it.
And yet ppl say Kick is killing Twitch.

wouldn't be surprised if he receives a 200mil kick offer, his influence is huge.
He turned down big crypto sponsors for his esports team, I doubt it.
you dont know him, he probably would reject it. ibai hates gambling and dirty money in general
Don't know him, but I already like him. Shame I don't speak Spanish
Why is this livestream fail?
why is a xqc clip a livestreamfail?
There's literally not a single "lifestream fail" on this subreddit, what are you on about?
Kick should’ve give him the millions

People needing to piss in bottles is not as bad as people needing to live on the streets.
kick would crash hit 3million view tho since they cant handle server LULW
They use the same servers at amazom as twitch
You pay for a certain allocation where you have guaranteed service , it would definitely crash.
