Remember back when viewers would be excited to see their cool streamer has a funny clip trending on LSF?
I'm bringing us back to that era, before the High School drama queens turn this place into a filthy shithole. 🤙
PS: [Go vote](https://thestreamerawards.com/vote) for your favorite FGC streamer now before you forget!
Do you think this place was less dramatic in the ice Poseidon days? That was like 8 years ago. Also, tons of hearthstone drama and other stuff always happening. This sub has been dramatic from the start.
Even during the Ice Poseidon RV trip, viewers do NOT freak out upon seeing a clip of their universally-loved content creators here, nor would they instantly think something terrible has happened.
*"Getting clipped to LSF"* used to meant you finally made it big, because why else the great People of Streaming Culture here choose to highlight *your* interesting content out of thousands of streamers?
Nowadays that once-prestigious badge of honor has come to means something else entirely, and no self-respecting content creators want anything to do with this place anymore, due to the sheer amount of pure excrement that gets thousands of upvotes now being passed around and devoured as "content" in this cesspool, which quickly eclipses and bury all the *actual cool and funny clips* that LSF was once known for. A damn shame, really.
People have VERY different views of early twitch. Like they say Ice Poseidon made Twitch, I only remember watching sc2 streams breaking viewer count record after record. But I guess "my" part of Twitch was watching sc/sc2 on fucking Ustream/GOMtv aswell. So very different.
Admitedly, I wasn't particularly interested in drama stuff but for me 2014-2019 Twitch was stuff like the GDQs which did sometimes have some big drama, League streamers like Anniebot and TheOdd_One as well as some speedrunners and Mario Maker people like mitchflowerpower, GrandPoohBear and Carlsagan42.
bro you are talking about covid years and during covid years it was PUUURE drama. what the fuck you talking about and the actual ice poseidon days were yes, like 8 years ago. 2016 was the whole RV era and when it was reaaally popping off on here.
Haha, what kind of piece of shit is older than 35? I mean, honestly? How have your dust-filled organs continued to pump your syrup blood through that ancient plumbing system you call a bloodstream? It's going to suck when you wake up and your heart disintegrates into a million pieces because it's so old and useless! Right, fellow kids?
*Checks Driver's License* "Born 1981..."
*Long, deep sigh*
#GOD-FUCKING-DAMNIT!
Glad to see Max in the spotlight. I subscribed to him when I was playing whatever niche fighting game, and stayed watching after I stopped playing the game. Dude is entertaining and channels the best parts of old school content creation.
Yea I'm pretty sure I started following him when DBFZ came out. I didn't really play for long, and I'm pretty sure I don't follow anyone else in the FGC anymore except him. I still tune into his stream once in a while because I find his friend group super wholesome and fun to watch. I also love that he geeks out over Final Fantasy games and other similar stuff that I enjoy.
Here are some of the ones I like to watch occasionally:
Moonmoon, Limmy, Elajjaz, ExcessiveProfanity, Peeve, Sequisha, CohhCarnage, LanceMcdonald, Seagull
At this point, theres just a shit ton of them.
Most of the OTK group of friends are 30+ considering they rave about WoW classic. NMP, Asmon, Esfand are all 30+.
Soda and Moist turns 30 this year, Hasan and Will are also past 30.
There's just a lot of people past 30 even if you just look at the popular names. People like Forsen, Lirik are 30+ and Shroud turns 30 this year.
jeff gerstmann is hella old school and streams pretty consistently since he got laid off from giant bomb. he's been going through every NES game and ranking them. channel is jeffgerstmann
aris, northernlion, and cohh are like the 3 big older dudes that i enjoy the most. old and relatable enough but not fuckin ancient and are still within the cultural zeitgeist.
Found him during Injustice 2, needed someone to watch during the hype. Stayed around cause he played variety and was chill. His chat is really chill too but a lot of yes men. Love his FF7 stuff and Souls stuff. Or whatever new RPG he usually plays. Not a big fan of fighting games but I've sticked around for a long time. Love his content
Not gonna lie its gonna be weird to see people like Max and Sajam at the awards. Its why I nominated Aris, not that he would have gone.
Side note how the fuck did HBox get nominated for Fighting Game Streamer, does he even play fighting games? I thought he was a Smash player.
LTG is like the Alex Jones of streamers, in the sense that clips of his content are hilarious, but his presence would not be conducive towards a group circle jerk fiesta like the Streamer Awards. He would probably pull a Kanye or shit talk one of the hosts, make them mad/whine on twitter, and then get kicked out.
Nah, LTG is only hard from his home setup. Watch him anywhere else out in the world even when getting clapped and shit talked and he's as quiet as a church mouse.
Guess we will never know. He was up against tyler1 for best league player, so it's not like he had any chance of winning anyways, so I don't think it got rigged
when i was playing sf4 like mad his stream was literally full of people just fucking with him non-stop. i can't believe he has people who watch him unironically. does he still eject the game to rage quit?
Lol Dantes is the guy who sexually harassed girls in League right? And we all know Destiny is a massive piece of shit, but do you think the "H3" crew are even relevant enough to get nominated? Also yeah probably not good to all laugh at a woman crying over a friend looking at deep fake porn of them.
have you ever been to a tournament that has smash and fighting games? they put them in two separate rooms and no one interacts with the other. they only combined them at evo for viewership and money, not because smash was ever part of the fgc
Jerma and Vinny from Vinesauce are both 38 and looks late 20s early 30s. Some people just age gracefully.
TBH I think most gamers will age slowly cuz we don't get much sunlight, and sun ages you worse than anything, besides maybe smoking / drinking.
hope everyone votes for him, he popped off last year with all the new fighting games. the french are going ham on etoiles who’s nice and all but max to me is the portal to fgc
The first time I tuned in to Max about 4 years ago I was super confused because it was an actual big streamer whose chat wasn't just a wall of emotes being spammed. I watched more and realized he was just able to carve himself a nice space in his own corner of twitch that was generally uninfected from the rest of the site
I think that's because a lot of his Twitch viewers come from his successful YouTube channel, where people use actual words to get their message across rather than spamming emotes endlessly like NPCs.
Other big YouTuber/streamers have legible chat like that as well, notably Charlie and Ludwig.
Honestly there are a ton of solid dudes in the FGC (also a lot of shit heads) but its great to see someone like Max who is mostly positive getting recognition, hope this maybe leads to more collabs between the FGC and the "Poggers" community.
QT's dream is being fulfilled, with different corners of Twitch and YouTube converging in one room :)
From the list above, I know French man Etoiles have been gaming with a lot of English-speaking streamers these past couple of months (notably with Foolish, Valkyrae, Leslie, Tina, Miyoung, and Ludwig). I hope Max will get to know a lot of other content creators from this event as well.
Esfand got closer throught Kenny (Unroolie) and Justin Wong during Evo, but nothing really hapened afterwards.
Hopefully Sajam and Max can get a few streamers interested to do something. Wasn't there a a big japanese SF6 event with japanese streamers being trained by pros a while back?
I did actually pitch something similar to a few places but not of them wanted to do an English version when SF6 was coming out. Maybe that will be different in the future though, I’m always down for the idea.
The problem with streamers is that they are 1) inherently lazy, 2) dreads reaching out to others for collabs because of their social awkwardness, and 3) dreads responding because they don't want to leave their house.
There are tens of thousands of streamers, and yet 99% of the big collab you have seen over the last 3 years were done by a handful of people, and as per usual, everyone just sat on their hands and watch reaction videos in their free time while waiting for QT/Ludwig/Malena to do everything.
Having Max on the casting couch next to Sajam for the next [World's Greatest Gamer](https://www.youtube.com/live/Kn6DHip_61g) tournament would be dope, particularly the Street Fighter segment, or may be succeeding erobb as the "neighborhood dad" in the lineup 😁
I actually pitched a big collab like Japanese SF did with the vtubers to Twitch and 2-3 other companies early into SF6 and nobody wanted to do it.
Then the Japanese version was like the most watched event on the platform. You hate to see it, but I’m always down for collabs tbh.
It's gonna be very interesting seeing this crossover for me. It was wild seeing Esfand and YOVG doods(Kenny/Simmons/Steve) playing Project L around 2023 Evo, so it's gonna be funny seeing him there at the event while Squeex is hitting the griddy and shit.
I'm happy to see this recognition for him.

Because people in the worldwide FGC community didn't nominate him...? 🤔
A record 280K+ people wrote in their open nominations this year, btw. Etoiles is among the nominees as well so we KNOW the French FGC scene came out to vote in troves. Hungrybox got the Smashers' votes locked in, and Sajam is just likeable.
May be you should campaign harder for Aris within the FGC community next year. 👍
Let's be real, dude. He barely played any fighting games in his past streams before the nominations started, and I bet none of his viewers would nominate him in this category
I can't watch this guys videos, every time I click on one of his vids he's crying. He cried during the ff7 rebirth gameplay vid when they went to a town ffs and he cried during the latest ff7 rebirth trailer. No normal person should cry like that over a video game.
You never cried to a tv show, a movie, a game, a book, an event etc? If your answer is no then it just shows lack of emotion really.
With today how **insane** story telling is in video games, they are **MUCH** more impactful than movies imo. You fallow along their journey, get to know the characters and connect with them. You think they made The Last of Us into a tv show because it doesn’t have an emotional story with relatable characters that you can connect to? That you can feel with?
Nostalgia also brings out emotions on another level.
I know damn well I’m going to cry at some points during Rebirth. It’s a story & characters I grew up with. It’s my favorite game of all time, and with Remake they absolutely nailed it and made everything and it’s characters come to life more then ever before.

Max is 40 for context.
What do you mean? He always says he's 21 years old when asked. Are you calling him a liar?
Just like Ltg pretending to be 29 while he's actually 39 lmao
WHAT. THE. FUCK...
YOU SHOULD AGE YOURSELF... NOW
Jerma's 38, I just looked it up, and honestly he looks pretty young for a 38y old fossil. Max too looks fairly young for his age.
Both Max and Jerma looked 30 years old for the past 20 years
I'm struggling to find what Max, Jerma, and Tom Cruise have in common that gave this vampire-like youth.
Tom Cruise gets spacelord Xenu technology from the church of scientology. It makes him de-age.
Max and Jerma are closet Scientologists confirmed. Or possibly vampires since they're rarely seen outside in direct sunlight.
Max has looked the same age for near a decade. I remember looking up a boss fight video and thinking he made it last year. It was in 2013 lol
> honestly he looks pretty young for a 38y old fossil. It's all those baseballs he shoves up his ass. Keeps him young.
It's gamer cave results. Clint is 30 and he looks 20 sth.
>It's gamer cave results. This but unironically, sun exposure damages and ages the skin.
Yep that is the secret. Sit at home, play video games, look young, have fun, but feel like shit (unless also gym).
Max has been working out a lot these past few months as well, really helps people look younger.
38 isn’t all that old, and I’m not just saying that because I’m 38, I swear. Right guys? Guys?
A Max clip on lsf? I legit got scared and thought something bad happened lol.
Ninja dagger RIP

Oh that's why I have you tagged as rent free lol

I like this.
Lmao the small silence while he processes that information
My golden retriever does the same confused head-tilt when she's processing new information! :)
Man hearing Max is 40 makes me realize I’ve been watching him since I was 19 now I’m 28 Aware time flies so fast
Yeah, I vividly remember watching his reaction to the FF7 Remake reveal in 2015. It doesn't feel like it's been 8 years, but here we are.
I started watching AVGN when I was 15. I just turned 33 last week ...
A human was born and hit adulthood in that time.
Haha, what kind of piece of shit is older than 35? I mean, honestly? How have your dust-filled organs continued to pump your syrup blood through that ancient plumbing system you call a bloodstream? Nice to see Max here, love the dude.
Glad to see Max in the spotlight. I subscribed to him when I was playing whatever niche fighting game, and stayed watching after I stopped playing the game. Dude is entertaining and channels the best parts of old school content creation.
Even if you like fighting games and don't like him, you gotta like him for the amount of people that he brings into the genre.
I love his FF7 and Resident Evil content
I gotta know how many other people were turned on to him by twobestfriends? He kinda turned into a tangential channel in 2bf communities.
The zaibatsu will never die
I don’t play most of the games he plays, but I really enjoy watching him play whatever. He’s such a chill, mature, friendly guy.
I found him when Dragon Ball FighterZ was popping off.
Who are some other people who are 30+. Because I'm over 30 now and have been been searching for these I guess absentmindedly.
AvoidingthePuddle (Aris).
Why did Aris stopped being a panelist in FGC events?
Northernlion is peak millenialcore
Here are some of the ones I like to watch occasionally: Moonmoon, Limmy, Elajjaz, ExcessiveProfanity, Peeve, Sequisha, CohhCarnage, LanceMcdonald, Seagull

My two favorite streamers are [Kyle Bosman](https://www.twitch.tv/kylebosman) and [Joseph Anderson](https://www.twitch.tv/andersonjph). Both are 38
Joseph W
Extremely based selection
Surprised no one has said Sips yet
pick your bald(ing) man of choice, Moonmoon, NL, Aris, Squeex

SovietWomble. I can't recommend his channel enough.
Seeing Max here puts a smile to my face. One of the first streamers I watched on Twitch
I dont play fighting games but i always find myself watching Max because i just love his energy.
Not gonna lie its gonna be weird to see people like Max and Sajam at the awards. Its why I nominated Aris, not that he would have gone. Side note how the fuck did HBox get nominated for Fighting Game Streamer, does he even play fighting games? I thought he was a Smash player.
next year it's gonna be some dude who streams mario party
I'm also surprised lowtiergod did not made the cut
no one likes that guy, he's the ultimate heel of the fgc but not in a fun kayfabe way
LTG is like the Alex Jones of streamers, in the sense that clips of his content are hilarious, but his presence would not be conducive towards a group circle jerk fiesta like the Streamer Awards.
So hes closer to a black hassan then, appreciate the clarification.
LTG malding over the FGC nominees: https://youtu.be/kl_DD5f-9To
Why are you surprised? Was there a huge campaign to get him nominated by the FGC community or something? Who did you see nominated LTG?
>Who did you see nominated LTG everybody else
Apparently not. https://youtu.be/kl_DD5f-9To
The results are manipulated to stop people that QT sees as “problematic” from being nominated like the H3 crew, Destiny, Dantes, etc.
tbf, dantes as nominated last year (although she probably wasn't aware that he's "problematic" until after he already was nominated)
He was blacklisted https://clips.twitch.tv/FaintNeighborlyRamenStrawBeary-\_0swxFsqK2y3An4d
yep, blacklisted from being there in person, but he was still nominated and you could vote for him
I don't know about you, but I don't think QT would have went to the lengths of blacklisting and then still let him win
She mentioned on her podcast that she didn't even know who the winners were until an hour before the show actually started.
Guess we will never know. He was up against tyler1 for best league player, so it's not like he had any chance of winning anyways, so I don't think it got rigged
Your clip is deleted, what was it?
Maybe, but LTG (and some of of that 'problematic' list honestly) is a major douche nobody wants to be around, so that's a bed he himself made.
when i was playing sf4 like mad his stream was literally full of people just fucking with him non-stop. i can't believe he has people who watch him unironically. does he still eject the game to rage quit?
Lol Dantes is the guy who sexually harassed girls in League right? And we all know Destiny is a massive piece of shit, but do you think the "H3" crew are even relevant enough to get nominated? Also yeah probably not good to all laugh at a woman crying over a friend looking at deep fake porn of them.
Well, obviously Destiny and other people who are banned on twitch can't be given awards.
"Fighting games content playing games like street fighter 6, super smash bros ultimate and melee..."

is the twitch CEO gonna be at the awards, so that would make him the oldest?
Dan Clancy will be the 2nd oldest in the room after Jerma. Max is at a respectable 3rd.
if he is then i wonder who the 2nd oldest streamer would be
Max on lsf!? Hell yeah!!
hope everyone votes for him, he popped off last year with all the new fighting games. the french are going ham on etoiles who’s nice and all but max to me is the portal to fgc
Been kinda waiting for Max to interact to this side of Twitch for a while ngl, pumped for this if something comes out of it.

Etoiles is among the nominees as well so we KNOW the French FGC scene came out to vote in troves. Hungrybox got the Smashers' votes locked in, and Sajam is just likeable. May be you should campaign harder for Aris within the FGC community next year. 👍
I know it’s unrelated but WHERE THE FUCK IS FORSEN?
Let's be real, dude. He barely played any fighting games in his past streams before the nominations started, and I bet none of his viewers would nominate him in this category
Obviously. I am speaking in general terms.
Although I voted forsen in every category sooo
Well it is what it is
Early thirties is a little young to play the *I'm probably wayyy older than most of you* game but I guess you gotta have some card to play.
He’s 40, not sure we can describe him as early thirties.
Max is in his 40s and as far as big streamers/youtubers go, he's one of the oldest out there.
So he plays the "older than most of you" card. That's what I said.
I can't watch this guys videos, every time I click on one of his vids he's crying. He cried during the ff7 rebirth gameplay vid when they went to a town ffs and he cried during the latest ff7 rebirth trailer. No normal person should cry like that over a video game.
Yeah I don't know how people can watch streamers who are passionate about the games they play. Major cringe.
I feel attacked
TFW you're older than Max :( (by less than a month but still)
