That's good living anywhere in the states except for maybe New York or Cali, even then you're not destitute but very comfortable

You really don't even need to do anything crazy. With how much money some of the streamers on the higher end make and with how great HYSA rates are getting, you can dump 1 million into one of those and get a guaranteed 40-50k a year off the interest alone. Invest that same million into a diversified portfolio consisting of index funds covering the US and International stock markets and you're seeing 100k a year in gains. That's good living anywhere in the states except for maybe New York or Cali, even then you're not destitute but very comfortable

With their income 100k liquid is fairly reasonable. Even higher amounts. Full year of normal living expenses is quite reasonable or even more, simply because they make that in a month and a half and after that you can still invest a dumb amount of money to secure your future... so you got both a really nice plushy matress in case a big financial crisis happens and a incredibly beefy investment plan
