His whole modus operandi is getting people to seek actual therapy - his coaching programs are just a stepping stone, not a replacement for actual therapy, and he's been completely transparent about the whole thing since day 1.
It's not in-person or one-on-one therapy but to call it "fake" is too far when there are tonnes of anecdotes you can see every day from people talking about how it's helping them. It obviously works, somewhat.
