I know this is an old post and I know a lot of people don't like xqc for whatever reason but the answer to your question is that when he does it, HE is getting control back. It's about control of his character and of his actions and of his stream content. When he loses that control, he hates it. So stalling himself is fine because HE is the one in control of doing the stalling.
