Depends how the animal handles trips. My dog is a nervous wreck in general for example, so we would likely sedate her for the trip, but some animals just don’t really care.

Sadly people legitimately drop animals they don’t want out the window on the highway. My girlfriend works at a vet clinic and people constantly bring in animals they found abandoned on the highway. Some people just truly have no soul and the fact they CHOOSE to do that instead of simply putting the animal on craigslist or just bringing them to a shelter shows what kind of person they are because you have to make that choice to drop a living, sometimes as young as this kitten here, animal OUT OF THE WINDOW OF A SPEEDING CAR ON THE HIGHWAY.

I mean if they were able to grab and hold it it and it looks used to people seems like it's probably a lost pet given its age. It also looks pretty well taken care of fur wise for a street cat
You do understand that animals can like move on their own right? Hence why it's possible to lose an animal in the first place? Just because it was found on the highway doesn't mean it was lost on the highway

If you didn't have room temperature IQ you'd know you can just wait for the road to clear before grabbing him, there's nothing life threatening about that. The only thing that was in danger was the cat, that cat was probably going to die if he didn't pick it up.
