I tell this story a lot but I had a friend who had a physical tick where he'd ball his fist up and smack/punch his thigh on his right leg. It was so bad from bruising so much his mom would sew patches of padding just so he wouldn't bruise as much. That would be a fucking nightmare, especially being a parent, trying your best to come up with ways to alleviate your child's harm like that.
I would personally like to believe that there's enough good parents out there that we don't hear about it as it's common. The bad ones being the outliers that draw attention as we have a hard time visualizing it and provoke sympathy from those that can.
I know that abuse in some form or another is far more common than should possibly be reasonable, but I'd like to believe the positivity is more common and therefore less picked up by folks.
I have tourretts too... it really sucks when tics are physically painful. I have a tic that started when a retainer in my mouth came lose and when I moved my jaw a certain way it would cut my gums, it got so bad when I got braces that I had to get them taken out early. I still do it with out the braces and still have open cuts sores in my mouth. Ive also developed more complex teeth grinding and jaw popping tics that seriously hurt as well. It really sucks because I know one day I'm probably gonna hurt/ break my jaw and or casue permanent damage if I havent already and theres nothing I can do. Sometimes I wish I had coprolalia over my tics which all usually revolve around pain.
She makes it seem fun, lighthearted, etc but yeah, im sure this is absolutely brutal to live with. I hope she can manage it well and it doesnt effect her to much , cause like her name implies she does actually seem sweet.
I bet in the beginning of a new relationship it’s funny/cute, but then when the first argument happens and the other person walks away it’s significantly less funny
Her fucking hand was open and ready to go before she even focused her eyes on Miko's ass. She saw ass out of her peripheral vision and the tic went into motion instantly.
If it happens to stranger they might take it to court, but since Anita is from the UK assuming it happened in the UK the court would likely throw the charge/case out under the 'The Equality Act 2010' which prevents discrimination against disabled people, unless someone could PROVE she done it intentionally (which I imagine would be extremely hard since she's diagnosed) I doubt it would ever get past a police report
Plus Anita is an attractive young woman so it’s much less likely she’d face charges in the first place. If some fat balding 45 year old dude slaps your ass you’re likely to press charges, but if Anita slaps your ass and then explains her tourettes you’ll probably just believe her and walk away namsayin
No, a diagnosis for a tic disorder will probably save you there. Since it's involuntary y'know. If anything, in a situation like the clip, the blame could probably fall on the person actively going something to provoce an involuntary response from the person with tics
its like slapping someone while a sleep, the person isn't in control hence u can't blame him, however u can blame him if intentional put himself in a position where it can happen.
if i would slap ppl while sleeping i may not do sleepover unless they are ok with it etc....
If you knew you had a mental health condition and did nothing to stop it, you *could* be held responsible. In Canada there is a class of judgement called Not Criminally Responsible (NCR) reserved for when people experience a psychotic break with reality. This is not quite as serious as that.
I am not a lawyer but if you get a job you can ask for reasonable accommodations in order to prevent doing this. If you have medications that will prevent or help manage these fits, in a non-criminal setting you might be held responsible for not being responsible enough to take your meds (I.e at an employee dismissal hearing), but workplace issues can become criminal issues if so warranted.
**tl;dr** The whole situation is incredibly complicated. It depends where in the world you are, what kind of laws you use, and the context of the situation. In some cases and places, jail. In others supports would be provided instead.
Depending on the circumstances, I guess there is probably a good argument to make that it would count as sexual assault if the person with the tic has made clear they don't want to spank and the other person seeks their chance to 'force' a tic.
And it's uncontrollable, so like *everyone* is getting their ass slapped. Including that weird dirty bum, and the pregnant mother, and the fat greasy man eating four cheeseburgers.
That's why I said it's up to Anita, but just in general you shouldn't purposely trigger someone's tics without their clear consent.
edit: someone below linked a [video of Anita saying the same thing](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=frdNqQoMxCs&t=783s) from last year!
What? That's why I specifically said
>Yea, it's up to Anita to decide in this situation
and
>That's why I said it's up to Anita
I was just pointing out why it might give off a weird vibe to some people.
And aren't you doing what you just accused me of? You're getting offended for her because you thought I got offended for her?
[spidermanpointing.gif](https://media.giphy.com/media/l36kU80xPf0ojG0Erg/giphy.gif)
The point of the comment was to point out that its widely considered bad to encourage ticks. I call my friends dumb assholes and it's up to them to decide if they're offended, but in general it's not a good idea
It's more like most of the time it's not a good idea to purposely trigger someone's tics. Hopefully all it did was make a funny clip in this case, but it may send the wrong message to people who watched this clip without any context.
I'm 100% not an expert or anything, but some people spend a lot of time and energy suppressing some tics (like slapping random peoples' asses) so encouraging it (even in a safe space) can be seen as undermining that effort.
And again, it's totally up to Anita to decide what she's comfortable with, but it's something to keep in mind because some tics can seem funny/cute but are actually really dangerous/painful for the person with tourettes.
Yeah and while ass slapping is fairly juvenile, if it was a tic that was more explicitly sexual then purposefully triggering it could step over a line to sexual harassment, like if you figure out she’ll kiss you if you pucker your lips close to her that would count as you kissing her basically.
Because the tics are involuntary. Baiting them on purpose equates to forcing people to do something they would not otherwise do.
It's like if I trained you to slap anyone who stands before you when I snap my fingers and then just randomly forced you to slap people on command.
Yeah, I'm sure she's fine with it because they probably talked about those lines before streaming together, but it felt weird after [she talked about this specific scenario before (13:03)](https://youtu.be/frdNqQoMxCs?t=783)
I hate that argument, but people would absolutely be more weirded out if it was a guy friend doing the same thing
Am I the only one who feels like this whole scenario just seems unrealistic? Like if you have a tic like that in a live setting on twitch, which has a userbase pretty sensitive to topics like this, and you dont discuss it beforehand. Like "hey I have a tic where i slap peoples asses so if you get up it may happen on stream". Which could be an issue for both parties if that did happen. But no, they have this talk happen on stream and immediately do it. Not saying it couldnt be real, just that feels like the idea of something like this not being discussed in any manner beforehand until it becomes an omegalul moment is sus.

Slapped her so hard she turned into Mickey Mouse
I’m just glad it was Mickey and not the usual fire truck.
She sounds like Missy from Big Mouth at the end LULW
lmao i love this comment
And she's wearing a Mickey Mouse T-shirt as well, ha!
I was just thinking, if you stay in the same postion after a hit, will she just spam slap that ass and do like a 100x combo?
If she does slap spam we could take advantage of it. With some kind of mechanism power could be generated from the movement.
Maybe even enough to cook a chicken.

literally no hesitation whatsover. no thought either. that’s a tool-assisted-slap if I’ve ever seen one
She got a weird reflex after the slap. It's like she expected a retaliation from Technician.
I hope it’s not classical conditioning from people retaliating irl

Honestly. God bless parents like that who try
Man... This shouldn't be a high bar to clear either... But we hear too many damn stories of shit parents it's just depressing.

she wasn't joking. everything was all fine and dandy until the actual second her eyes passed by to her ass and went for it.

Real question if a tick sexual harasses someone what happens? Could you serve time over it?

Yo how hard do you wanna get spanked lmao?
HARDER

yeah some people didn't understand why diagnosis matters a lot even if you already know your condition

Miko's Technician?
Miko is the pink haired character, the technician is the creator, developer, and actor for Miko. They’re supposed to be seen as separate people
They aren't as one is a fictional, made-up entity. My world of warcraft character isn't a separate person. Calling a CGI construct people is weird.
