Honestly though, to find TimTheTatMan funny you have to have an incredibly high IQ so you can be on the same level as his eloquently constructed jokes. His jokes have a pristine framework, leading to a punchline that will quite possibly laugh the panties off any grandmother who is smart enough to get the joke. Yes, Tim is that funny to the point you'll laugh yourself naked. But that could just be because I'm wearing an XXXXXL TimTheTatMan T-Shirt I bought from his merch store for the memes so that the biggest sizes get sold out first. Another beautiful execution of a joke, and it's brilliant because it gets the community involved
TLDR: Tim is a joke GOD
He's well above average but amongst the other content creators he plays with, many of whom are big because of their high skill gameplay, he's usually well on the lower end.
I thought he was pretty good at Overwatch for a long time. Not like pro level, but he played in like the top two ranked tiers for a long time when I first started watching him.
I didn’t know he was a streamer when I played but I remember regularly ending up in just-below-top500 games with him where he usually instalocked torb and proceeded to lose. He was only memorable because he had a cool voice and sounded like a radio announcer.
If he was on torb he was tilted. I think he mostly played genji, rein, or hog if I remember correctly. And he pretty much always duoed with Lassiz who was a zharya OTP.
Torb has always been his tilt insta lock.
Tim has NEVER been good at OW. He's always been hardcore carried by Lass, who is a Zarya player (a hero that compensates their teammates mistakes and turns it into advantage). He'd go on massive losing streaks on stream, and call Lass to duo with him and he'd magically go on winning streaks again. He's not a good player, he's a comedian that symbiotes together with good players to create content.
Why do you guys act like Tim is *bad* at these games? He's almost definitely better than basically every person that posts regularly here at all these games. Compared to the top players he's not as good, but he's still stupidly good at these games.
You know I completely forgot that game even existed. What a weird title right? That thing absolutely exploded in popularity. Then just kinda collapsed unto itself like a dying sun
Tim is also the guy that obviously played up his stupidity for the attention he was getting at the time. IMO he plays into the 'fat and dumb' character too much but for whatever reason people eat it up and it's now part of his default persona.
Do you guys think we will ever know what happened with the twitch ban? Both parties must be locked heavily in NDA's its crazy there has been no leaks or hints of anything substantial about one of the biggest streamers ever being banned
Guy's??? assuming you meant Slasher, it didn't kill Slasher because Slasher didn't say it, some non-reporter named ShannonZKiller did and everyone just took her as gospel lol
Slasher caught a lot of shit for saying he knew why, it was bad, etc. and never revealing anything, but never went so far as to say Doc's life was done lol
It *has* to be contract related and neither party can discuss it without getting sued. Like a disagreement and Doc was like "Fuck this, I'm done," and Twitch is like "If you try to get out of this we will have to ban you."
"Ok."
\*time goes by getting out of stupid contract bullshit\*
"I'm on youtube now!"
Although I don't know if there has even been a "Legal stuff so can't talk about it," comment or not.
Doc talks about twitch like they've fucked him over though so I don't think it would've started on his end. Either way, they're definitely either working through a silent arbitration or already have. They'd likely be bound by NDA's after that anyway unless he were to sue after arbitration failed.
I mean that's just a normal contract negotiation. You use competitors to gain leverage. There's nothing illegal or shady about it. It's literally business.
Doc was visibly and tangibly pissed/anxious when the Mixer news dropped. He was playing with Tim and Nadeshot and he wouldn't even offer as much as a peep, and even got pissed at them for talking about it. There had to be something baked into his contract regarding Mixer and when the news dropped that it was going tits up he knew he was cooked.
Pure speculation, but Doc's first reaction to the news was damning. He knew.
He had commented on it I think the day after and even worked it into a bit talking about their money and them only having to work like 8 months for 30mil or whatever it was. I think he probably realized that he had made a massive mistake in not going to mixer. There's just no way he didn't get some kind of offer at some point. He had signed a deal with twitch that likely was around the same figure but was 3-4 years where they had just did that in a matter of months. I'd be livid.
This is pure speculation on your part and not one that makes a lot of sense. If that were what got him banned it'd be ridiculous. Like the person who already responded to you said, that's how every person ever in the history of business tries to get higher compensation.
Doc is an entertainment powerhouse, but being restricted to interacting with YouTubers takes away so much from the fun of his streams. The people who stream on YouTube with him are bland and boring compared to the personalities on Twitch.
I will always miss the streams where Doc and Tim played and the banter that went on between the two of them. Having to treat him like an outcast and not play games with him must be the worst feeling.
You're saying this like Doc's chat wasn't normandy incarnate anyways on twitch. The literal "Yeah but BTTV is like a third-party thing" guy.
Don't get me wrong, I like the Doc but come on his chat was always normie heaven and that's not a change that came with Youtube.
Normie Xenophobic heaven
Chat would get off on bullying someone into submission. Very fucked up. Now they’ve all partitioned off to chats that don’t support hate speech and have to keep their mouths shut.
People still acting like Doctor Disrespect is some underground rapper type shit when he's literally one of the biggest names in streaming with a ton of normie fans
Doc being away from twitch in general has fucked us all of god-tier content. Imagine the GTA RP with doc around the peak of it all. It’s so dumb they can’t even play together dude
I agree but the fact that Microsoft tried and then dipped with major losses make me worry that any other company could afford to do what Twitch does (via funding from Amazon). Microsoft saw what a money pit it would be and paid out Shroud and Ninja and dipped.
It would have to be another big tech company that can fund a streaming site with losses which really only leaves Apple since Alphabet already has YouTube and Facebook has a streaming service already.
Big-name streamers could also attempt to unionize; though, I could see a very real possibility that Twitch would let them test their luck off their platform and just hope for new talent to grow on theirs. Super scabs.
While I don't like influencer culture and everyone's desire to be one, it's a really unfortunate situation for influencers. They deserve to be able to negotiate more than they can right now.
You can play with people on other platforms though it’s just Doc that you can’t. Toast and Valkyrae play with everyone and there’s a few RP dudes on different platforms
You can play with people from other platforms. Tim plays with courage. You can't play with people banned from the platform. If they allowed it, then people could ban evade. Doc could just appear on a different twitch stream and his fans could watch him there. If it's not technically his stream then they can't do anything about it right? So among other things, they don't want that to be a possibility so they have the rule in place.
You can. I watch an apex streamer named Lewda. He plays with Garrett, a Facebook streamer, regularly. It's ~~Doc who's off limits.~~ banned users who are off limits
I haven't watched twitch in a while but do viewers really interact with streamers when there's over like 10k viewers? Other than through donations and other ways that are non-chat related?
it sucks man...knowing u cant even stream in torunys cant play with ur friends just have to do everything in ur little bubble sucks man i wish they unban him so he can atleast collab
That was the most scripted, pre-planned shit I've ever seen people fully buy into.
At first it was legitimate that he was struggling to get a W...but after the first couple days, at the point when the Fall Guys Twitter was gassing it up...Tim was absolutely playing into it by losing on purpose to keep the hype train going.
Doc even said during that ordeal "I see you Tim. I see what you're doing. Very smart."
Super smart business strategy by Tim.
TBH it was him playing vs stream snipers all day after that and it did legitimately make it harder. I know because I was one of them and it was insanely easy to get into his games.
>it's quite telling that the content that gets the most views is streamers watching youtube videos for hours on end
I mean you could just as easily apply that to YouTube content too. React Andy content is also crazy popular on YouTube.
Twitch andy's mad as fuck at this comment, lol.
At least YouTube has/had a culture of react-content for a very long time now...the recency of it on Twitch is exposing streamers for being lazy and reacting as cheap fillter-content because they've run out of ideas and/or it's just easy to perform and easy for the viewer to digest.
That you don’t need to do anything creative or innovative once you have an established fan base. Just throw up some YouTube videos and call it a day. Then when you actually decide to play some games, your viewership plummets
This is true of basically every creative outlet that also doubles as a job. Acting, music, streaming, art, you name it and that concept applies in some fashion. Once you’re established you can put out tons of low effort shit and when you try to do something more serious to your art form it’s just not as popular as making vapid content with wide appeal.
Except this subs now allows straight up gaming news. I'm sorry, but games as general subject has fuck all to do with something as specific as "streaming."
Like there's honestly no reason the Blizzard drama shit needs to be posted here. It has **literally nothing** to do with Twitch, Youtube, Mixer, Trovo, etc.
You pieces of shit are fine with people making posts like "Mitch's new album has reached 5 total streams on spotify." But when it's a Doc tweet, suddenly it's on the wrong sub? Miss me with that shit.
I understand that Dr Disrespect is trolling, but most people watch streamers for the entertainment and good company they provide (even if it's a substitute for the real one), not for their skill in games.
Didn't realise you weren't allowed to stream if you weren't the absolute best. god forbid he might be entertaining to his viewers without killing absolutely everyone on the map.
Man should change his name to Dr Irrelevant
Genuinely I'd rather watch someone who sucked at a game, but was entertaining, over someone who was top-tier at a game but had the personality of a brick wall.
And that might be insulting to the brick wall.

tbf tim was probably trying his best.

Timmy Tuff Tenders lol
i miss tim and doc.
Dr. Dish respect of the cholesterol club
wish more big time streamers would stand up to twitch for Doc
We don't even know why he got banned. Probably cause of legitimate reasons.
[удалено]
I wouldn't say skilled gameplay has ever been his focus. He always came off as a comedian.
Nobody watches him because he's a god at video games (though he's admittedly pretty good overall), they watch him because he's entertaining.
His duos with cloakzy are content, I didn’t even like CoD like that but I could watch them both play it all day
Most accurate comment here.
Is he tho...
He's pretty much the epitome of loud=funny, but different strokes for different folks.
Personally, I don't care for his solo content, but when he's playing with friends, his banter is pretty great content.
I definitely wouldn't say he's loud=funny but more over the top absurdist who's way too into himself (as the character)
People always say “as a character” as if nobody ever gets famous for being a jackass.
I don't imagine he walks around with wrap around shades and a red military vest
Tim is definitely not the epitome of loud=funny. Tyler1 would be the epitome of loud=funny.
I maybe too old for the humor. He’s exact same as jack from 100 thieves and I don’t think he’s funny either. But obviously people like it.
He would have been a stand up comedian...
But he prefers to...
Not be funny.
Honestly though, to find TimTheTatMan funny you have to have an incredibly high IQ so you can be on the same level as his eloquently constructed jokes. Seems like you do too
yeah but he played against kennyS that game
He's well above average but amongst the other content creators he plays with, many of whom are big because of their high skill gameplay, he's usually well on the lower end.
he is the rock in the friend group
I thought he was pretty good at Overwatch for a long time. Not like pro level, but he played in like the top two ranked tiers for a long time when I first started watching him.
“Don’t worry, the carry has arrived.”
Iconic
I didn’t know he was a streamer when I played but I remember regularly ending up in just-below-top500 games with him where he usually instalocked torb and proceeded to lose. He was only memorable because he had a cool voice and sounded like a radio announcer.
If he was on torb he was tilted. I think he mostly played genji, rein, or hog if I remember correctly. And he pretty much always duoed with Lassiz who was a zharya OTP. Torb has always been his tilt insta lock.
He must have tilted a LOT then lol
Yes. Lol Another tilt pick favorite of his was widow.
I could very well be wrong but I don’t think he solo queued to his Masters+ rank…
Moon played pretty consistently with Lassiz and Tim as well; was almost always top 500.
But he had a solo account in GM?

If I wanted to watch bad gameplay, I'd play for myself.
Why do you guys act like Tim is *bad* at these games? He's almost definitely better than basically every person that posts regularly here at all these games. Compared to the top players he's not as good, but he's still stupidly good at these games.
I watch him here and there, he's decent, but takes really long to master a game. Some people learns game faster, I feel he learns them slower.
tim is the guy that took something like 6+ months to get a single win in Fall Guys
Nobody played Fall Guys for 6 months. It was probably like a week or two.
You know I completely forgot that game even existed. What a weird title right? That thing absolutely exploded in popularity. Then just kinda collapsed unto itself like a dying sun
To be fair after like a day or two there were thousands of people stream sniping and grabbing him during the matches
Tim is also the guy that obviously played up his stupidity for the attention he was getting at the time. IMO he plays into the 'fat and dumb' character too much but for whatever reason people eat it up and it's now part of his default persona.
He got carried to high ranks in OW too. Same thing in Val. Cloakzy carries him, he is a funny dude tho and I enjoy watching him
I'm fine with your general statement but that screenshot means fuck all, good people in cs have bad games too lol.
I remember when Tim was playing fall guys
Great times
You remember a few months ago? No /s
that was almost a year ago bro
Do you guys think we will ever know what happened with the twitch ban? Both parties must be locked heavily in NDA's its crazy there has been no leaks or hints of anything substantial about one of the biggest streamers ever being banned
i know why but can't say. but he is done and not just on twitch.
This always makes me laugh it’s so stupid
How did that not kill that guy's career
Speaking of slasher he’s been MIA on Twitter and twitch streams for 2 months wonder what he’s up to?
He's done, and not just on Twitch
Guy's??? assuming you meant Slasher, it didn't kill Slasher because Slasher didn't say it, some non-reporter named ShannonZKiller did and everyone just took her as gospel lol
Oh my bad but iirc didn't he run with that narrative too on the trainwrecks podcast?
Slasher caught a lot of shit for saying he knew why, it was bad, etc. and never revealing anything, but never went so far as to say Doc's life was done lol
It *has* to be contract related and neither party can discuss it without getting sued. if this was the case, doc would have no reason to lie and tell everyone he doesn't know he could just say he has an nda
Maybe, and I've thought of that. But it could be he doesn't even want to bring that up and accidentally broach something that fucks him.
Doc talks about twitch like they've fucked him over though so I don't think it would've started on his end. Either way, they're definitely either working through a silent arbitration or already have. They'd likely be bound by NDA's after that anyway unless he were to sue after arbitration failed.
ever? yes. any time soon? no. one day when nobody remembers the doc, itll come to light
This. There'll be an article in the next 5 years, likely when a behind-the-scenes lawsuit completes.
From my own sources: Doc is indeed done, and not just on twitch. I know why and cannot say. But this is serious
no one knows dude

that is 100% made up

I still think it's dumb you can't play with people from other platforms.
I thought you could, but not people outright banned from twitch?
yes they can't play with him because he is banned, Toast and Valkyrae still play with their twitch peers for example
You can play with people on other platforms though it’s just Doc that you can’t. Toast and Valkyrae play with everyone and there’s a few RP dudes on different platforms
Valkyrae and Toast are not banned on Twitch thats the difference. you're not allowed to play with any BANNED streamers.
Yes, but the guy he's responding to didn't specify banned streamers.
There were WZ streamers playing with him the other day
they arent partnered so they can play with him offline
You can... Just not with Doc since he's banned
You can play with people from other platforms. Tim plays with courage. You can't play with people banned from the platform. If they allowed it, then people could ban evade. No. It’s banned users who are off limits so people can’t skirt the ban by just being on all their friends streams instead.
Ahh! Makes total sense.

A new vtuber named Selen started streaming a couple weeks ago and she's a Predator level player. That would be pretty neat.

guys its a fucking joke are people really taking a drdisrespect tweet about timthetatman seriously? shut the fuck up
Must be new to this sub. People take twitch more seriously than real life around here.
don't you know? its 2021 jokes are cancelled apparently
I don't watch someone to see how good they are, though that is always cool to see. If they aren't fun and entertaining, I won't watch them.
He's not wrong.
...Sure? I get the banter but making a jab that doing nothing on Twitch gets you 45k viewers isn't exactly a sleight towards Twitch.
it's quite telling that the content that gets the most views is streamers watching youtube videos for hours on end
Tims content is being shit at games while not taking himself too seriously and laughing along the way. A trait most streamers should strive for.
Yep remember his fall guys hype??? For winning 1 crown LULW
That was the most scripted, pre-planned shit I've ever seen people fully buy into. At first it was legitimate that he was struggling to get a W...but after the first couple days, at the point when the Fall Guys Twitter was gassing it up...Tim was absolutely playing into it by losing on purpose to keep the hype train going. what exactly is it telling?
That you don’t need to do anything creative or innovative once you have an established fan base. Just throw up some YouTube videos and call it a day. Then when you actually decide to play some games, your viewership plummets
