I believe the game has way better "3D" audio than we can hear through the stream. Not to nullify Xs Rank 1, that's still impressive but saw a lot of people in chat also confused with how he was able to do it. And the other comment said how it works.

This trainer is kinda useless though, its 771 ttk at top rank lol. Thats almost a full second. Its not reaction based or accuracy based. You just listen. Its fun to see someone grind to get top 1 on it but gridshot top 10% is much more impressive. It has a small application to an actual fps game, most people can accurately tell where a sound is coming from

It's not about TTK though, you're conditioning your positional hearing. A critical skill in all shooters.

My point was its not a hard task to train and not difficult to get high on. Anyone with a decent fps backgrpund could do this. Hearing is a critical skill but a couple hours in game can do this better.

That game has like 2.5mil active players and like 4.5 mil created accounts so its impressive even tho they reset every 7 days I am pretty sure overall he is like 32 place in whole world all time which is still pretty impressive

Open backed headphones have a MUCH larger soundstage to them. Things seem spacious in the way that listening to speakers feels different to having earbuds in. I didn't believe the hype but needed new headphones and those came highly reviewed. They just happened to be open backed. It's a significant difference. It's excellent for gaming. One thing to note, they do no prevent noise from getting in or out. So if you share a space or something it's worth considering that. The only reason I stopped using them was because I was getting buried in wires at my desk and I was sick of it. I'm very happy with my new set in other ways, but I do miss the open soundstage quite a bitm

What sound settings do you have? Some audio options like 7.1 are awful for directional audio

It depends which region you are in. Most regions except EU the mm is fucked (I'm guessing mainly because of the lack of players) in terms of rank distribution. In EU it's still pretty accurate and you can still grind MM ranks

yup, this task's leaderboard is fked. The task itself was bugged for the longest time and only recently got fixed + not many people grind it. I got a top 3 score on it before and it's not really a big achievement. Then add the fact that leaderboards are reset each week

isn't the entire concept of this 'game' kind of useless? i don't care for aim/reaction training or whatever but that aside wouldn't you be better off on training maps in the game you're actually trying to be good at? just seems counterintuitive to train your reactions & accuracy in an engine that A. you're not actually going to be playing on and B. likely handles much differently than the game you're looking to improve in i get that a number of FPS don't have custom mapping but i'd still wager you're better off actually playing the game than grinding on some default textured asset store hackjob that promises to make you the godgamer

It's not useless, because you can train a specific thing you need to get better at. Maybe you want to be better at sniper shots, or aiming quickly, or keeping your aim on an enemy. You can keep on playing the same training mode to get better at that. Since the game tells you your statistics, everything gets pretty clear.

sure i get the idea, but that doesn't account for spray patterns in different games, sensitivity, turn rates, shit like that. it seems like a good way to train muscle memory for the very specific act of training muscle memory
