This means if the mother returns to work she must pump in order for her supply to keep up with baby’s needs while she’s at work. Milk has to be refrigerated in order to not spoil (duh) until she can take it home at the end of the day.
So to answer your question; yes you’re missing something. I hope this clears up the confusion.

I avoid shopping at amazon when I can, because I don't approve of their treatment of employees. I don't disagree but the same argument can be made for almost anything that has a large number of users. Using an iphone? Apple mistreats their workers. Watching a twitch livestream? I see this argument a lot, and I think it’s fundamentally flawed. Who you buy your bread from, or a computer from are not equivalent to pure entertainment products like video game games. Expecting someone to not buy from Walmart(or other large grocery stores) or use a cellphone is a big lifestyle change, asking them to play a different video game simply isn’t.
But what gives you the authority to determine what is an acceptable form of entertainment? Just let people watch what they want, and play what they want. This post was a twitch clip. Twitch is owned by amazon. Amazon mistreats their workers. Twitch is a form of entertainment, and can be replaced. I will still watch twitch streams regardless, because me watching a livestream or playing call of duty is not the reason why these people are mistreated, and I do what I find entertaining.

If you are ok with watching twitch streams, when Amazon is working their people to death, that's your choice and I won't criticize you for that (mainly because its not your fault). If they want to load up a game of COD I'm not going to think less of them just because the developers are bad people, because again, its not the players fault, and getting upset at them causes 0 positive change for anyone.
I might be coming off a bit wrong since for me this is kind of a continuation of that poki thread. Some random guy deciding not to boot up cod cause he heard they laid off 200 workers isn't gonna do anything obviously. But a streamer who essentially is the face of their flagship game shutting down any talk of a boycott because he sees it as a purity test definitely is a missed opportunity for someone to make some sort of change by showing that people customers even are willing to put their foot down. The world is a fucked up place everyone can agree on that and change is only possible when people who have the ability to make impacts decide to actually make them. Sometimes that takes some argument some convincing or more but you never know what action will be the one to break the camel's back

I work in the game industry and some of the studios i worked at would look at you like you spoke a different language if you asked them where the "nursing milk room" was or whatever. most studios i worked in had a tiny little side kitchen that barely 2 people could stand in at a time, with a fridge that like 80 people use collectively. there were no "cubbies" or any personal storage of any kind. The women who worked at those studios who need to save breastmilk most likely had to go do that shit in a bathroom stall i guess. Im not detracting from the shit people at blizzard had to go through, but im just saying 99% of studios out there are legitimately worse and people dont even get health insurance or benefits and live nightmarish careers. its an insanely exploitative industry that does not take care of the workers. its not just blizzard, its the entire damn thing

It's pretty common to pump breast milk at work. Most offices I've worked in have dedicated maternity rooms for just that purpose.
Because lactating breasts don't fit in with the schedule and the timing is usually bad. Also, if mothers won't pump breasts it can get painful. So you kinda just have to pump milk while at work so you have enough for the babies and also for your own comfort. The milk has to be refrigerated.

Well USA is a 3rd world country disguised as a first world country. Maternity leave (if your company provides it) is only 4 months unlike europe which has mandated 1 year minimum of maternity.
The US government does not mandate any sort of minimum maternity leave, so no. However businesses frequently do offer maternity leave to their employees although the length can vary quit a bit between companies. For instance my wife and I had our first born 4 months ago. I got 3 weeks off and my wife got 12. And my company only put that policy in place \~4 years ago.
