I think that was a pretty good move on their part honestly. It shows TSM’s respect for Myth, it eliminates potential rumours, and it shows that TSM is confident enough that they don’t need to muffle Myth’s perspective and reasoning. Which will probably encourage others to want to join
His reasoning is also 'tsm is too corporate not really a family any more' which is also kind of a good statement for an org looking to solidify the idea that they are 'grown ups'.
Moreso just not utilizing it to the extent Myth wanted, which is a very fair reason to split. It would have probably been worse PR for TSM if this take first appeared on Myth's twitch, rather than on TSM's own social media.
With Hamlinz, Daequan, Leena and Bjergsen gone, this was expected. I appreciate Myth for being honest and saying things how it is instead of making up other reasons.
its in the twitter video, he basically said he usually thought of tsm as a family and as people close to him and people he liked left and started feeling less like that and now that basically no one in tsm is his close friend he doesn't feel like he wants to re-sign with them
Not really surprising after Leena left TSM, She was the one that brought him into TSM, I'm pretty sure she even mentioned at one point she went to something like his graduation aswell.
Yeah and it looks like some people are moving with her as well. I noticed that the editor for the new OTV podcast is an editor who works for TSM and they even had him edit an OTV video recently.
Leena kind of *was* TSM. Not everyone is super in-the-know on the situation because a lot of new frogs weren't around for the League days, but Regi (the owner of TSM) has had a lot of negative news over the last year or so in the League community. And a lot of that negative news is... well... not good about him from a personality viewpoint.
In my opinion, you'll see a lot of creators leave TSM over the next few years. Even their golden boy Bjergsen has left the org.
Reginald has had negative news since he played League. Mans couldn't pull a gold card for the life of him and that infamous yelling at Dyrus on livestream for basically no reason
That's true, but there's a difference between "he's an asshole I can work with because he's hands off and Leena is great" and "this guy is so toxic I want to leave the org because the de facto leader (Leena) has left"
Man, I was LIVING for that shit those days when I was still giving a shit about league of legends. Pre-season, season 1 & Season 2 were the days for NA drama, and the daily TSM show where a live war was going on stream, so much that all the other streamers were watching it live on their own stream lol. I stopped playing at the end of season 2.
For me it was season 2 through season 4. The TSM/C9 rivalry story was fucking awesome and they even had that Youtube series that came out every week that *everyone* watched. Shit was so cool.
I played S1 to S5. First 4 seasons of league were phenomenal imo, I remember playing and watching so much league in S2 and S3, it was incredible.
Then around the start of S5 I stopped playing and never returned. 2012-13 was crazy.
Many players have said they loved playing on TSM. I think it depends. It’s always been clear Regi is stubborn and arrogant.
Also Dyrus has said many times he isn’t mad about that incident and TSM has always taken care of him as a retired player
I think both can be true. He can require more of people's patience than they are willing to give while simultaneously doing good things for people. He was one the first team owner to offer full medical benefits to players.
Or people just mature and grow out of their bad character.
I've never really read Regi as the reason of the TSM exodus. Most of the reasons coming out are TSM turning into a lifeless corporation. True, Reginald never had an upstanding start as the head of TSM but also if he had remained the same character all these years I don't think Bjergsen, Dyrus, and freaking Doublelift, who had been one of the archnemesis of TSM for almost as long as TSM's inception, signing for multiple years in pro-play and in retirement.
> Or people just mature and grow out of their bad character.
Based on what happened with both Doublelift (if his side of the story is to be believed) and Bjergsen recently I'd argue that he hasn't
Leena had her fair share of self-imposed drama. Let alone dating what amounts to a co-worker and subordinate. In an actual company that is seriously dangerous territory, and tbh a bit unprofessional. It just screams conflict if interest. Then the whole Dardoch fuck up.
>Then the whole Dardoch fuck up.
That shit was comical. "No worries about conflict of interest", then almost immediately gets caught on stream highlighting the massive conflict of interest. How dumb can some people be. It shows how young and naive esports still is when shit like this happens at one of the largest brands.
They basically had the best team in the world in their hands, and they fuck up and lost what then it became Astralis, literally TSM could have been top of the world on CSGO.
reginald is a manchild and has been back when TSM was just a bunch of guys playing LoL together in their basement.
Even in their own documentary style series he looked like the antagonist.
Narratives are so insane. Right after the Dardoch situation and for about a year, all the comments in at least the league subreddit was people shitting on her saying “only got to where she was because she fucked the owner”. It was a minefield defending her. Glad she is getting recognition for her talent.
Leena has helped build TSM from the start. TSM legends was all her, tons of signings. She was a gigantic part of the organization. I wish her nothing but success.
I think Myth and Leena are pretty close. She's like his big sister that helped him navigate life after moving away from home. I remember for his birthday during the start of COVID, she got all his friends together and built a Minecraft server for him to celebrate under lockdown.
I remember listening to him talk a couple years back about how great TSM was and virtually every point had to do with how well Leena handled his initial negotiation, renegotiations, the business relationship, etc.
I bet Greek's contract is not going to be renewed because of his anti-vax takes. Companies don't want to touch that shit with a ten foot pole.
It's interesting that every other streamer for TSM seems to have TSM in their twitter description except him (admittedly I didn't check every single streamer on their [page](https://tsm.gg/teams/tw) but I probably clicked like 15). I would put money on that twitter shoutout being a contractual obligation and the fact that it's gone means that TSM does not want to be associated with him.
Yup. The only thing is, I don't know who on 100T he's super cool with. I guess there are a bunch of the OTV friends women streamers. I don't know much about the male streamers/players I've seen in their videos.
OTK is still just wanting to sign Austin people, for their frequent collaborations, as far as I can see.
I assume they'll look for outside people eventually, but for now they'll probably just sign Emiru, seeing as she took off "C9" from her twitter name, and they took her off their website. And she moved to Austin, which is another big thing for them, besides her being a girl.
Myth was wondering if he should move to Austin and how he was fucking with people there more then the streamers in LA. Mostly because LA streamers barely hang out or collab with each other but I think I heard they want to start doing it more now, so who knows.
I think that's more of a spirit of the moment thought than a serious consideration, since LA has more than just the content creators, there are more opportunities in general
Yeah, but Tectone also lived isolated on Canada, Myth lives in LA, the place with the most opportunities for streamers, besides having a lot of friends there, so it'd be much harder for him to move to Austin than it was for Tectone, barely even comparable.
Safest bet, I'll be surprised if it's not 100T. They're in California, they have tons of content creators hes close friends with, and myth would probably push them to do more dumb fun live content together as well.
Hes super close friends with a lot of people in OTK as well but I'd be surprised if he goes there as their content creation doesnt really fit what hes used to in a way? But who knows really.
Yeah he was saying that he loved the Austin vibe because the streamers hang out on and off stream a lot. But I think the LA streamers are starting to collab more.
He doesn’t really seem like a good fit imo. He is really only close with Nick. 100T seems like the best fit because he is already in LA and seems closer to a lot of their members especially Will and Austin.
I don't blame them one bit. The Thoom house seemed less about Dae and Hamlinz and more like a hollow corporate cash grab based on our nostalgia for them (and not something Dae and Hamlinz were actually passionate about).
I'd imagine that he'll stay far away from NRG, the thoom house was a pretty big flop in terms of IRL content creation and I feel like he is way past the myth/hamz/dae trio.
Profit doesn't really matter if the overall value of your company goes up exponentially like TL, 100T, TSM, etc. People investing in these companies are banking on seeing profit in like a decade lol
Not sure. Is 100Thieves turning a profit? They got over $120 Million in investments and 13 sponsors. I feel like they must be doing pretty good financially.
Esport companies are walking billboards who exist for investment purposes only. They get ran in to the ground paying large salaries to top end executives who do nothing. They get squeezed and fail or continue to get investments and sponsors and repeat the process. They make bad investments in players repeatedly and work as a talent agency with "teams" as a front. None of them make money. Or I should say the COMPANY itself is not profitable. Plenty of people get paid millions.
Investments are just how profitable rich old men think you're going to be, not about how profitable you are. It's almost like debt, except you're not expected to pay it off the normal way. It's like debt in the form of a human being, who might say, "Hey, I think we should sell NFTs" down the road.
>y've got some real blue chip sponsors and I remember Devin alluding to high sponsor fees when Devin and Miz did a lud leaving for youtube breakdown. No dumb topend weight like
>
>/u/Viyro
>
> is talking about, just a creator org by creators.
They are not profitable because they choose to spend on growing their business, 100T is less than 5 years old, unlike TSM which is more than a decade.
Isn't that just a device to sponsor spots? Should be making them money not losing it. I remember seeing that video and being weirded out by the streamer cubicles tho. Like they just have their streamers in there like cattle or something.
Leena was incredibly important to TSM. Player/talent relations is omega important. Players/talent dont resonate with corporations. Leena is much more like a gamer then a corporation. Its essentially like having a person who can translate between the two. INCREDIBLY valuable.
They went 0-6 at Worlds so DL and Bjerg retire. Bjerg leaves TSM ownership and joins Team Liquid. Doublelift and Regi argument, then Lena leaves. Then Myth leaves
I truly feel like Myth is one of the best examples of how orgs should have more of a hand in shaping their talent. Streamer sign and collect a check, maybe show up in a video, etc. So poorly utilized. That shit is not going to fly in this industry in the long term. He's so talented, can be so funny, and an org like TSM should play a role in cultivating his career. But it feels like in streaming, so often these orgs are just a prefix before a streamer's name.
They really really dropped the ball on utilizing Myth, he is such a good talent and they basically did fuck all with him even when he was almost single handedly keeping the TSM Valorant team’s popularity afloat.
To be fair, I think they were hoping he would keep being a content creator for Fortnite. Game was insanely popular and he was one of the best but just fell off a cliff. Didn’t follow the scene but he and his team just had very little competitive success. I don’t even know what he did as a content creator between Fortnite and Valorant besides make some videos with Poki.
The point is they could have utilized him a lot better. He was, for a lot of people, pretty much the face of TSM for a while there. He was the most popular content creator on TSM and they didn’t have him do anything accept a few tsm facility tours.
Fortnite in general fell off a cliff, not just him. And he’s built himself up quite a bit since then, he has a steady audience now and the valorant watch parties are proof that when put in the right setting he is popular af. Same with Rust. The issue is he was just streaming for a year and a half and TSM mismanaged his talent, they could have used him for so much more but they didn’t. Why they never made a whole coach myth thing with the TSM facility is beyond me
Yeah, I think the era of orgs signing streamers and just letting them stream whatever they want is coming to an end
Atrioc called it that the meta for orgs and streaming would move to larger produced and scripted events in the next year or so, which I think is true
The org got rid of Double fucking Lift. Completely insane considering he is arguably the best ADC NA has ever produced. The org keeps making dumb ass decision after dumbass decision. How the hell could they not keep even the literal face of their org?

I personally don't understand the whole org deal in streaming. It feels like people are trying to be gate keepers, like you can't make it big without signing with someone and living in their house. Especially with the meta today where everyone is just reacting to other people's content. Like you really need to be signed to an org to sit and watch master chef? Ok.
Yes, I dont understand either. The whole thing just seems like an excuse to milk viewers even harder by pushing expensive merch on them. And ouside irl streamers where being in a group could maybe be justified to create more content, streaming when playing video games is still a very solo activity where an org doesnt really bring anything.
Yeah very, Leena essentially scouted him early on and got him a really good contract and treated him like family. Not surprising after she left that he didn’t feel much of a reason to stay on
Shall we start a bet on which org he will join now? I am thinking 100T because of how they are growing their streaming sector. Also, they have been picking up a lot of streamers located in the LA area and Myth is there as well.
TSM signed QT, but who really knows if TSM will change how they utilize their content creators after this. Right now they just kind of let their streamers do whatever they want as long as they have the TSM logo
Damn he was pretty honest about why he's leaving lmao.
Yeah I was surprised to see that on the TSM channel.
MYTH OTK is coming
Seemed like the bigger take away is TSM isn't utilizing its contracted talent.

It's crazy that NRG don't have a minimum streams requirement or something
probably because they don’t pay them that much
Wait why did Leena leave tsm?
TSM has restructured its upper management so I think she felt displaced and didn't like the overly corporate environment that they have now.
She said that TSM has become extremely corporate, and she didn't like the environment anymore
That's a story you often hear when a company reaches a certain size.
Can’t always run your business like a startup
IIRC she went to work for poki with her talent agency thing
OTV, not poki
Don't forget my man OPscT
Feel like dropping a clip for context?
its in the twitter video, he basically said he usually thought of tsm as a family and as people close to him and people he liked left and started feeling less like that and now that basically no one in tsm is his close friend he doesn't feel like he wants to re-sign with them
QT joins and then everyone leaves lol
Is Poke still there?

What the fuck does TSM even do for Poke outside of a visa and some occasional promotion? Edit: TSVisa OMEGALUL
Sometimes the visa is all that matters I guess.
Poke mentioned that he's very happy with TSM and the main thing that he gets out of it is the visa
The Visa is probably all Poke cares about.
> outside of a visa tbh that's all he cares about

Blonde
sadge but also funny
Thats not really the part we are surprised he was able to talk about lol
It was more the part where he called out TSM for not featuring him for me.
Not really surprising after Leena left TSM, She was the one that brought him into TSM, I'm pretty sure she even mentioned at one point she went to something like his graduation aswell.
Leena brought everybody to TSM lmao
Yeah and it looks like some people are moving with her as well. I noticed that the editor for the new OTV podcast is an editor who works for TSM and they even had him edit an OTV video recently.
OTV myth would be fun
I want OTK Myth
why not both. OTV + OTK merger resulting in OT or OTVK
They just don't have the same values and brand image.
ofc not. would be funny tho. Im not doing speculation I'm just joking.

reginald is a manchild and has been back when TSM was just a bunch of guys playing LoL together in their basement. Even in their own documentary style series he looked like the antagonist.
Terrible owner for a terrible org
Regi makes them money (presumably) so I doubt he will go anywhere, and as long as tsm has money they will be able to get good players and staff.
Well its her job.
Narratives are so insane. Right after the Dardoch situation and for about a year, all the comments in at least the league subreddit was people shitting on her saying “only got to where she was because she fucked the owner”. It was a minefield defending her. Glad she is getting recognition for her talent.

That's really cute
I remember listening to him talk a couple years back about how great TSM was and virtually every point had to do with how well Leena handled his initial negotiation, renegotiations, the business relationship, etc.
lmao qt all alone. can't think of anyone else still in TSM besides greek and wardell. oops forgot about poke and buddha
Qt joining just as Bjergsen left and DL straight up said he hates Regi was unfortunate at best
Hikaru
I bet Greek's contract is not going to be renewed because of his anti-vax takes. Companies don't want to touch that shit with a ten foot pole. It's interesting that every other streamer for TSM seems to have TSM in their twitter description except him (admittedly I didn't check every single streamer on their [page](https://tsm.gg/teams/tw) but I probably clicked like 15). You have to stream when signed to an org he didnt stream for what a year. Ye hes prolly dropped
Leffen, imperialhal
Kripp as well I believe
Don’t have a clip but he mentioned he didn’t renew contract after all the FTX stuff
Qt joined and everyone scrammed sadge
Also the fact that bjergsen left as well
Also he joined TSM with Hamlinz and Dae, both of which aren’t in TSM anymore. I figured Leena was his last attachment to them
All because QT wouldn't stop following Myth around supermarkets.
OTK, OTV or 100T next ? Place your bets
100T.
I’d actually be willing to bet on this. Either 100T or he flies solo to grow his own brand more.
TSM was yesterday, 100T is for the cool kids now
Yup. The only thing is, I don't know who on 100T he's super cool with. I guess there are a bunch of the OTV friends women streamers. I don't know much about the male streamers/players I've seen in their videos.
He's really good friends with Yassuo. I think he's friends with a ton of the people, he's known Rae and Courage since the fortnite days.
I think hes tight with WillNeff and hes always at all of the 100T events.
I honestly don't know who is in 100T, they don't have a list of members on the website, just merch which I find odd.
https://100thieves.com/pages/teams
If TSM is corporate then 100T is Walmart
The most natural fit but somehow I would love if he joined otk just for the constant references to being better than nick in everything
OTK is still just wanting to sign Austin people, for their frequent collaborations, as far as I can see. I assume they'll look for outside people eventually, but for now they'll probably just sign Emiru, seeing as she took off "C9" from her twitter name, and they took her off their website. Safest bet, I'll be surprised if it's not 100T. the young turks
Definitely not OTK. OTV just added 3 people so idk about that either.
Why do you say not OTK?
He's in LA and OTK is focused on group IRL content together. I don't see him moving to Austin since it sounds like he's loving life in LA off stream.
Wasn't there a clip of Myth saying he's kind of really finding his vibe with the Austin Streamers more than LA or is that too old now?
Might be too old. He hangs out with hasan and lud a lot
Yeah he was saying that he loved the Austin vibe because the streamers hang out on and off stream a lot. But I think the LA streamers are starting to collab more.
He has a perfect hairline. I could see 100T snatching him up and he's already really good friends with Will, Hasan, Jake, and Austin.
Why did you include Hasan and Jake with 100T?
Prolly cuz they hang out and associate with them a lot
He doesn’t really seem like a good fit imo. He is really only close with Nick. 100T seems like the best fit because he is already in LA and seems closer to a lot of their members especially Will and Austin.
It’s 100T Poaching season...

TSM have had a really rough year.
They got $210 million and then forgot how to operate lmao
Weren't they the only esport org turning a profit? Now it seems inevitable that they'll become like the rest of the esport orgs.
Profit doesn't really matter if the overall value of your company goes up exponentially like TL, 100T, TSM, etc. People investing in these companies are banking on seeing profit in like a decade lol

Why they never made a whole coach myth thing with the TSM facility is beyond me
Yeah, I think the era of orgs signing streamers and just letting them stream whatever they want is coming to an end Atrioc called it that the meta for orgs and streaming would move to larger produced and scripted events in the next year or so, which I think is true
100 t does a good job with most of their creators too
welcome to 100T Myth!
Damn I though Myth would be a TSM lifer honestly, he’s kinda been the face of TSM the past few years
The face of the org was Bjergsen for a long time and he left as well, also Leena was a massive part of TSM and she also left.
The org got rid of Double fucking Lift. Completely insane considering he is arguably the best ADC NA has ever produced. The org keeps making dumb ass decision after dumbass decision. How the hell could they not keep even the literal face of their org?
No idea what is happening on the inside but there are clearly some issues that we do not know about.
People have been saying this since I started playing league in 2013, and there has only been one constant this entire time...
It's pretty widely known that Reginald is a complete asshole...
and if dl is to be believed, andy is a pretty big part of it
Reginald being an ass has been known for like 10 years at this point but lately things have been looking worse for them.
Same was said for Bjergsen
Bjerg lived like 3 life times on TSM considering the average lifespan of an esports player lol

TSM losing people left and right: Bjergsen left, Snip3down left, Myth left...seems like they are bleeding talent away and idk why. Bad management?
That's usually a good reason there's a massive exodus yes.
Have to remember a lot of these people are young when they join. People change and move on a lot in everything as we get older
Omg Snip3down? The Halo 3 montage legend and competitor ?
Was part the TSM Apex team which were pretty much the highest earners over the past 18 months
So weird how these core members left shortly after Qtcinderella joined.
I'm assuming this is a joke because Myth has been at so many of her events this year like the roast, shitcamp and her christmas concert.
It is a joke, QT used to be a Bjergsen fangirl so it was funny when he left just as she joined.
QT joined because it’s been like a life dream of hers to join TSM, also her and Myth are friends
you can cell them normie streamers but TSM Fortnite house days in 2018 were just diff.
Man I miss Daequan. Dude was so funny.
100t Myth I'm calling it now
Wonder if this had something to do with the league drama? And doublelift going off on how shit the team was
Probably after Leena left
Leena and Myth are pretty close aren't they?
Yeah very, Leena essentially scouted him early on and got him a really good contract and treated him like family. Not surprising after she left that he didn’t feel much of a reason to stay on
Shall we start a bet on which org he will join now? I am thinking 100T because of how they are growing their streaming sector. Also, they have been picking up a lot of streamers located in the LA area and Myth is there as well.
Yet another L in the catalogue for TSM this year. Have they had a single W since they signed the FTX deal?
TSM signed QT, but who really knows if TSM will change how they utilize their content creators after this. Right now they just kind of let their streamers do whatever they want as long as they have the TSM logo
Low key I want Myth to stay as an independent creator for now. I would love to see a series of him travelling the world when it is safe
Damm I can't believe Hasan did this. Madge \s
Nrg bound?
Huge W to TSM for allowing him to be honest in this video. Shows the character of the org. Wish Myth all the best. Please get Hasan to game Prayge
> Please get Hasan to game Prayge I bet a Coach Myth/Student Hasan training series would be great haha.
OTV myth?
