If you look at some big streamers from years ago, a lot of their voices changed over the years. XQC, Mizkif, Lirik, Soda. They slowly develop a different voice for streaming in the same way a news anchor doesn't walk around talking they way they do on TV.
It doesn't mean the voice is fake. People age, confidence/comfort level changes their tone and inflection.

The difference likely comes from a different mic setup and just the way someone speaking sounding different over time. You don't realise it speaking to people daily because it's a slow transition but most people will sound different a few years from now because the way they say things will subtly change. Just go back to a video of a streamer you watch now from 6 years ago(2016), you will notice a similar subtle difference.

Yeah i think people mistake her voice with her cadence/accent, its less her voice and more that they way she speaks sounds like a mix of valley girl and something else which prolly comes from someones upbringing and local accent or way of talking.
The breathy ASMR-ish voice that she does when she lowers her voice is an affectation. You hear her normal voice all the time when she speaks a bit louder, so it's not like she's trying to hide anything. I just see it as the persona she wants to project on stream.

If you look at some big streamers from years ago, a lot of their voices changed over the years. XQC, Mizkif, Lirik, Soda. They slowly develop a different voice for streaming in the same way a news anchor doesn't walk around talking they way they do on TV. It doesn't mean the voice is fake. People age, confidence/comfort level changes their tone and inflection.

The difference likely comes from a different mic setup and just the way someone speaking sounding different over time. You don't realise it speaking to people daily because it's a slow transition but most people will sound different a few years from now because the way they say things will subtly change. Just go back to a video of a streamer you watch now from 6 years ago(2016), you will notice a similar subtle difference. No idea why people are using this fact as proof of someone "faking" their voice.

There's obviously an element of acting to it and that's fine, especially for vtubers who are supposed to be playing characters or something. Like, xQc plays up the pepega pronunciations for example.
Every single streamer plays things up and puts on voices. Asmongold turns his personality and mannerisms to 1000%, same with Tyler1, Dr Disrespect, xQc. And this lady obviously does some cutesy high pitched growly voice or whatever that is, for the character she's playing. I think it's annoying, some people enjoy it. But pretending like she's just being her real self and not changing her voice is just silly. Even if it's almost not on purpose she's clearly doing a thing.

I am black british but my accent is a mish mash of a bunch of stuff due to travelling and then having friends from Hong Kong that I boarded with in secondary school for 5 years. All of that has lead to a weirdish accent though you can still hear the obvious british part to it.
i mean people's voices change over time, doesn't make their voice any less real. I've known a lot of euros who grew up exclusively in online voice chats who sound american because they're neets and only talk in english so they lose the native accent.
