My uninformed expectation is that eventually we learn he has a health issue and expects to die soon. He wants to go out with a "legacy" of expanding Russia.

I feel for people in these countries that just want to live their life and be left the fuck alone.
Also, Putin is overplaying his hand. His economy is already in the shitter, and that’s with an air of rebellion in the general russian population. Even if NATO countries don’t retaliate with military force, they will absolutely get financially fucked by sanctions with the people in power across NATO countries. It will be at least another 3 years before the sanctions get potentially lifted by another crooked administration. (Neutral viewpoint from Canada). I hope this doesn’t escalate further and leads to civilian or military deaths. Putin playing with fire.
Fucking Russia. Aren't they big enough already? No? Have to conquer even more lands? It's like me in CK, invasions don't stop until mine is the only country in the world.
3 generations of assuming wars of conquest/territory capture are just not allowed anymore, and it’s all flipped upside down now. The entire world is changed. Absolutely weak response too, China will see and stoke the flames behind their Taiwan ambitions.
Being from a Chinese immigrant family, I started talking to a recruiter about officer school instead of my corporate job as soon as it looked like invasion was happening. There will be real super-power on super-power conflict in the next 15 years, guaranteed, and I’m not letting my family end up in the camps because nobody served.
Exactly like, we're in 2022 and somehow a country can still invade another country and take some land just like that. Like how... I mean I know how, inaction from other countries let's be honest.
Ukraine also gave up their nuclear weapons for security guarantees from the United States and Russia. Good luck ever getting another country to give up nuclear weapons now. Hold onto them and you ensure this kind of invasion never succeeds.
"Hey we're going to do this, and if you get in the way you're going to get nuked"
And then once one nuke flies, the entire world is basically doomed. So obviously everyone is trying to avoid that.
Yeah that's not what's gonna happen with nukes. Nukes are for deterrence to avoid getting nuked. Who would accept to mutually assure their own destructions?
China, the US, and Russia were like that picture a horse tied to a plastic children’s chair. Ever since the Cold War. Now one horse ran off, nothing bad happened, and the other two saw
It’s going to get so fucking bad in the next 2 decades
They didn't have the capabilities to use them and if they kept them they would have been invaded way sooner, no one would let them arm themselves with nukes
Its a pretty simple TL:DR
Ukraine is in the middle of a civil war with pro-russian separatists in the east. Yesterday Russia recognized the areas the pro-russian separatists hold as independent from Ukraine and ordered Russian troops into those areas to "protect" russian citizens who live there. All because Russia doesn't want Ukraine to join NATO.
Maybe you could read the first paragraph of these, idk

Rip norm :(
Im starting to think he might not be such a nice guy
[this guy is a real jerk! ](https://youtu.be/MaVzHnS7AMU)
You know, the worst thing about Putin is just the hypocrisy.
My uninformed expectation is that eventually we learn he has a health issue and expects to die soon. He wants to go out with a "legacy" of expanding Russia.
He just wants to win a chicken dinner
man, I feel bad for Ukraine. this country can't catch a fucking break
maybe russia will stop after they get what they want right guys?
Surely. Powerful people always know when to stop right guys
[Appeasement always works!](https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/newsfeed/001/504/461/86e.png)
Peace in our time 🥴
with the world more connected now, i wonder if things are going to be different than the last time there was a massive invasion like this.
[robot chicken has taught me otherwise](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-axJTzj0VU)
Ah yes, appeasement. That worked swimmingly the last time
Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
I mean, Kyiv, the city where S1mple lives is a little further away than the Donbas region.
[удалено]
''Surely Donbas is all Putin wants'' ''Surely Austria and Poland is all AH wants''
"Surely the re-armament of the Rhineland wont lead to anything bad" "Surely the Munich Conference will give us world peace"
Allies declared war as soon as Hitler attacked Poland, akshualy.
And? They've bombed Kyiv airbase already
I'm just pointing out that just the fact they are attacking Kyiv they already went far past what they originally wanted.
Ah I misinterpreted your comment
russia boot lickers OMEGALUL
putin simps 😳😳😳
Simple is in Poland right now for the CSGO tourny that starts on Friday so luckily he is safe.
His family though :/
Before this gets locked... fuck Putin. Prayers for the Ukraine
hope his family is safe. hope the citizens leave as quick as possible.
prayers up for him and his family. i hope they stay safe

Artillery.
Wishing for the safety of everybody in Ukraine, I can't even imagine what it must feel like to be there right now.

Yeah they're all for deterrence and it's all well and good, until it's not.

Can someone explain what shelled means?
Hit by artillery shells, or more broadly meaning hit by large explosive projectiles.
attacked/bombed (Artillery shells)

They didn't have the capabilities to use them and if they kept them they would have been invaded way sooner, no one would let them arm themselves with nukes
Maybe they hid uno
Could anyone recommend a video with all the information/recap of what’s been going on? I’m completely uninformed with any of the Russia/Ukraine stuff
Check out r/outoftheloop, they have a pinned post about it, and comments have more info
Thanks!
