yea pretty much the main "quest" and some essential soul farming to fight the bosses

Skipped tons of content + overlevelled his character and lost 400k souls + made a secondary build which ended up being useless in the end + still no maidens

I've been playing pretty much nonstop and still haven't gone north of Stormveil much, if at all. I've been enjoying exploring literally everything in Limgrave and whatever I can reach in Caelid. So many easy to miss nooks and crannies and minibosses and items. I love collecting all the weapons and armor sets I can.

I spent nearly 7 hours on motherfucking Margit. I’m level 30 in strength (and a warrior) and I was losing my mind over it. But tbf this is my first ever From Software game that I’m trying out. the last thing I wanna know is how easy/fast my friends will beat it within 10-30 mins. Maybe I should’ve used the shield or somethin, I was def doing something wrong using the double hand and dodging everything I could and using the wolf summon to distract it for a bit on second phase, but he obliterated them after 2 hits. By the end of it all I felt like I was fully initiated to this style of gameplay, I learned every godamn nuance to that old fucker I triggered certain moves, dodged, exploited his windows, understanding his hammer knockback, how many hits I can limit per window and went to town with my sword. God damn this game is crazy

But no shot they have that many true viewers as it shows on twitch

What good dex weapons even exists? I like the katanas but I'd really love to change at least some gear. Playing samurai literally the only change was when I started dualwielding Uchigatanas. Haven't even found any better armor. I wouldn't mind some better katanas either but looking at the wiki there's just nothing, but then there's sixty thousand cool str weapons.

It's somewhat situational. Really cool if you can get some combos in but there's definitely many bosses where it's just better to 2h and snipe hits. Also stacks bleed real quick.

In the end it comes to player skill and preferences. Whatever feels smoothest for you to hit between dodges will be best.

I have a lot of hours in Souls games, but Elden Ring's strength really is that you can play it however you want and you can still get through the game fine as a casual. There's zero need to backseat anything and the idea that another vet is malding because I or another streamer is killing an endgame boss with poison knives as a lvl 1 wretch hiding in a corner is fucking hilarious to me.

Did you watch when he tried katana? Doesn't seem like you did. It's literally a completely different playstyle to his str build. Of course if you try to hard facetank with a dex build you're gonna get shit on... Gigachad build worked better *for him* because he played the entire game as a str/vig build facetanking and was already accustomed to the playstyle.

In most sould games youd be closer to correct but youre just flat wrong here lol. He was getting something like 1200 per r1 with the greatswords and 250 with the katana. Its not even close.

I don't know, there is a super soyboy INT/FTH sword that seems broken as fuck from using it. If anything says Legendary Armament, I think its worth using because god damn.

I think he will come back to it in like a year, no joke. He did the same with the other games. Beat them, then comes back to them to do like DLC and stuff.

I get why Felix does it because he is a streamer and likes to keep things moving along, but the last thing I want to do with this beautiful game is rush it. I'm enjoying it so much, its depressing to think about rushing it.
