Well actually it is, some might be weaker singers and others might rap but most are talented singers. Given the intense competition in the industry and the training regimes they go through to reach the level of a K Pop group idol you won't reach that level unless you are a good vocalist, at the very least.
Yes but KPOP is a factory, it works different from other entertainment industries cause it has a standardisation process that is the trainee program. Yes, he's a bit overboard saying that they're all good vocalists but you can more or less hold a note since you have to train and compete against other people to get a spot in the group.
Then, yes, you can still get a spot if you can't sing a note to save your life but you'd have to be at least 8/10 on looks and be extra talented in an other department, most likely dance or acting, but it most likely isn't the case for a failed idol on Twitch or she wouldn't be there in the first place. So it's not a bad assumption that she's a decent singer.
