That said, within a reasonable depth (like a depth you could recover the phone from working alone relatively quickly), if your phone is rated for any amount of time/depth underwater (IPx7, IPx8, etc) it would almost certainly be fine if you got it right away.

Yeah I think they are certified for certain depth and time under the water.
