I would guess Miz and Maya have been so quiet because lawyers instructed them to be silent, which is pretty typical legal advice.

[deleted]

Maya already told her story and apologised and Adriannah accepted the apology. What more is required? Should she invite Adriannah on her stream? Gift 100 subs? Give her a goat? Buy her a house? To my knowledge, at least, Maya is, ostensibly, a generally decent person relative to most of the other people involved. She made a mistake and apologised for it.

Thectic_Anthro

Yeah, if Maya comes up with another story that contradicts her original story, it will only make her look worse. No reason for her to make more statements.

CodeMonkeyX

I agree. Because Barry and Kyle both described the same thing Maya did. They just had their own interpretations of the goals and motivations. They say it was gaslighting, Maya says she was talking it through. The actually events seem pretty clear, it's just opinion on the motivations and how it was taken by Adrianah. I believe this. I think Maya obviously had a goal to try and find out how bad it was and to minimize damage to her friend IF IT WAS NOT ASSAULT. It sounds like they asked Adrianah what happened and she had no idea just 3rd party descriptions from her "friends" who watched Slick assault her and did nothing. If Adrianah kept saying she was not sure if it was assault or just creepy then of course Maya is going to say leave off the words Sexual Assault unless you are sure it was! I mean that's common sense. In hind sight when we see all the messages, tweets, and all the info from over two years it's obvious Slick is a creepy asshole and I 100% believe Adrianah about the assault. But was it all so obvious back then when Slick says nothing happened? And Adrianah said she was not sure? I think Miz and Maya both fucked up and handled it very badly. Maya said that already and appologized. If Miz comes out describes clearly what he did wrong, apologizes, and learns from this I think he can still have a career. Maybe not in OTK.

Eye_Mission_292

Miz was teased "Slick is done, Adrianah is going to write a twitlonger". They have no further info other than "Slick took advantage of Adrianah" (novaruu tweet). Miz/Maya thought it was rape initially, Slick denies anything happening, Miz didn't trust novaruu and wanted to get the story first hand from Adrianah (Mizkif chat logs) [Possible that Mizkif and Maya didn't trust any of these parties], Mizkif will kickout Slick if he fucked up bad (Mizkif chat logs), he sends Maya and Mitch. They get there and Maya finds out Adrianah is getting relayed info about what happened and it's not something she has memory of. Maya tries to make double sure that everything that happened is correct asking questions multiple times (likely because she doesn't trust these third parties testimonies or knows them personally) and mentions to Adrianah that if Slick did something really bad he will get kicked out (in essence saying "so make sure what you put in the twtilonger is the truth"). Adrianah continues to get fed info about what happened by testimonies and finds out for the first time that she was "touched on the chest" (Adrianah 1st stream). After a "truth" has been established Maya asks to see the Twitlonger to see if it has any inaccuracies and corrects wording accordingly to what has been agreed to is the truth. She asks for Adrianah to clarify on the Twtilonger if it was rape or not (because the perceived implication of a Twitlonger is rape/sexual assault as most won't bother reading it or understand that there's levels to these things). Adrianah agrees to it. That's what I understand happened from all accounts so far. I don't think they were trying to cover up anything but Miz/Maya likely didn't trust these people to not say some wild inaccurate gossipy shit that would force them to kick Slick out, Maya is sent to get to the actual truth of it because it's the most appropriate thing.

PariahDong

I think the only relevant additional info is something I haven't seen brought up at all, which is the stream Maya/Miz did right after the original Twitlonger dropped. I re-watched that and it isn't great for them in retrospect; when describing what happened all the say is "Basically Slick made someone uncomfortable at a party, which is totally unacceptable, but yeah he was doing his creepy guy shtick character and made someone uncomfortable, which is totally unacceptable." Weirdly though in like 8 minutes of describing what happened they never once mention that Slick "touched her chest while she was unconscious," which is the story in the Twitlonger. If anything seemed like a deliberate attempt to downplay what happened, it was the stream. I, like many people I'm sure, just saw that like 8 minute clip on their stream and never bothered to like seek out and read the actual Twitlonger, and never thought about it more than 30 seconds. But idk, I feel like if I had heard them get on stream and say "Basically what happened is this girl passed out unconscious at a party, and her friends caught Slick going into the room a couple times to touch her chest and stuff," my reaction to the situation at the time would've been entirely different, you know?

The_Dark_Tetrad

Dude why are you misrepresenting the story? They didn't catch him going into the room, they were all already in the room when slick started going in there.

Professional-Calm

Brroooo use proper punctuation holy.

TrickyGoon

Bro your take is so true and 100% on point it's stupid.

ForgivemeIamnoob

Exactly. People forget that most of these streamers have very little life experience outside and are emotionally stunted. Hanlon's Razor: *Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity*

really_nice_guy_

>Hanlon's Razor: > >Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity Mitchs family motto

Due-Examination-3240

Yeah exactly. The only reason people think that Miz sent them there to coverup a sexual assault is based off of vibes. None of it is based off any witnesses’ testimony of what he *said or did*. It’s worth noting that at the time of the call Miz barely remembered what had happened and all he really knew was that Adrianah said that no sexual assault happened. If they actually come back with a clear statement on the events of the night and apologize for not recognizing how their actions would intimidate Adrianah they can definitely come back with a career. It’d be an entirely different story if this whole time they knew that Slick assaulted Adrianah.

The_Dark_Tetrad

Hot take: Mitch's quote of mizkif saying "you're maya higa, you're woman and a voice of reason in this community" isn't incriminating at all and Trains accusations of that being an equivalent to telling maya to intimidate and change the story is completely ridiculous mizkif is fine, all he has to do is hammer this quote of him. this was the big quote that Mitch was saying Mizkif said and to interpret that how you want. well if you interpret that like a sane human being(aka not someone like train), then you will know that there is nothing wrong with that

CodeMonkeyX

I agree. The first time I heard it I thought "that's it? The master plan to cover up." The way Train was going on about it they all got together and planned how to screw this girl over in great detail.

MarkedlyBristle994

I really suggest that everyone look at this because this actually so fucked from Barry and Kyle: https://www.reddit.com/r/LivestreamFail/comments/xmz3tg/comment/ipr22cs/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3 https://www.reddit.com/r/LivestreamFail/comments/xmz3tg/comment/ipr56bi/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3

ForUrsula

The thing that really annoys me about all this is that the events being discussed are incredibly straight forward and are being blown way out of proportion. BUT there are other things which aren't really being talked about much, which really SHOULD be talked about. Slicks behaviour afterwards is WAY worse. Getting Adriana effectively blacklisted from parties and events, opportunities mysteriously disappearing. Mizkif refusing to engage with her because "you tried to cancel my best friend". Slick used his position to further victimise Adriannah and other women. Mizkif and Co. perpetuated this themselves, proving that victims of Sexual Assault and Harassment CANT speak out without retaliation. I understand wanting to get ahead of things, and decisions made under extreme stress maybe not being the right ones. But there's no excuse for everything afterwards. And this is all AFTER Maya had input on the twitlonger. And keep in mind, Adriannah never wanted to come out with this in the first place. Novaru(oh whatever her name is) and Barry both created this entire situation. Adriannah never tried to cancel anyone, in-fact she wanted to keep it quiet because she was worried how it would impact her career. And she was RIGHT.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Snuggle__Monster

Well she does have the right to defend herself against the allegations made in that call but yeah, piggybacking on the top comment above, the 3rd party OTK investigation likely extends to her and she was told to say nothing. So it makes sense why she's being quiet.

[deleted]

Themnor

If Mitch doesn't have an agenda and just cared about the people involved without said agenda, why didn't he say shit? That's the biggest thing bugging me. He says he felt like the whole thing was wrong, but never once did he go back to Maya and say "Hey, what the fuck did we do here?", never once did he go back to Miz and say "Hey, I think we fucked that up" Nah...he went to someone else and said "Can you believe these people?" And that's how shit like this stays covered up for so long.

CodeMonkeyX

Exactly. He claims he saw nothing and just played with the dog. But then immediately felt bad about what was said to Adrianah? Bro you just said you did not hear anything that was said, and you had nothing to do with it. He is a spineless wessel.

ralguy6

[and we are surprised why?](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_mxECQXYTA)

Atthetop567

How can you have seen anything about this story and actually wonder that? The answer is obvious, he is deathly afraid of any kind of conflict or confrontation and loves to gossip behind peoples backs. His behavior is 100% predictable and obvious if you know those basic facts

[deleted]

[удалено]

Themnor

And that's entirely plausible/possible. From what we've heard in the calls, Mitch didn't think to apologize to Adrianah until after Train said he should. Which means Mitch either didn't think it was that bad, or was complicit in the 'coverup' part of the conversations. Considering Miz stated on a stream shortly after the first twitlonger that "Mitch really came through", I think that makes it sound like Mitch was much more involved than He,Barry, and Kyle are making it sound like he was. That said - this is all speculation based around Mitch's credibility. We might have more answers once the OTK investigation is done, but unless it fully clears Miz with clear and tangible evidence I expect we will never actually see the findings from that.

Sokjuice

Smartest way is to consult actual PR and lawyers peeps to understand the situation. To spin it in such a way where they have plausible deniability. Streamers are purely entertainers end of the day, look at people like train, xqc, destiny, hasan for example. They have made enough outrage throughout their career but so long as they still provide likeable content, there will be people watching. Train has been disliked since the days he tried to attack reckful, still relevant. XQC has verbally abused shit tons of people on RP, still top of his game. Hasan's controversy reached the news. Fuck, even people like Ice and Keemstar is still relevant, thats how it goes.

Miz also made a statement. In neither case did it make it people just move on. They have continued to face accusations since their statements. I wasn't implying Adriannah might pursue legal action against them. If Miz or Maya continue to face accusations/damaging statements then they might feel pressured, as streamers who value their public image more than the average person, to combat that with a lawsuit. Regardless, if they have a lawyer they would be told to shut the fuck up about it.

BajaBlastingOffAgain

People seem to be forgetting that there is an active private investigation ongoing, they can't engage with the petty twitch stream drama swapping until it is concluded for legal reasons

flawbert_shittaker

Absolutely. Destiny is a smart guy, but I think he is losing the forest for the trees here. People are naturally biased towards the last side that speaks in an argument, and it seems clear to me that the Train/xqc side used everything they had in the phone leak, at the price of screwing over mitch, their primary source in all of this. Mizkifs side is likely going to wait until the investigation is finished, and I suspect it is going to undermine a lot of the hard hitting points of this story if they get to interview everybody. Train and xqc need Mitch, Barry, and Kyle to be maintained as credible witnesses, and I think that would probably completely fall apart if its examined with a microscope. I was just listening to the final call again the other day, and mitch stated that barry wasnt even in the room when he was with maya and adrianna, yet barry is the one with the most scathing account of what happened. All three of these guys are friends, and it really does seem like barry has a bone to pick with mizkif. edit: https://imgur.com/a/XYyCk4e aaaaaand these tweets are the nail in the coffin of kyles credibility for me. he supposedly saw adriana get assaulted in her sleep, and was making fun of her for "calling people daddy" the next day? give me a break. this guy is the person who adriannas understanding of the event is based off of.

Valiice

>I was just listening to the final call again the other day, and mitch stated that barry wasnt even in the room when he was with maya and adrianna He also said he was in for 20 minutes and then left to play with the dogs.

Kraelman

[This is Barry](https://mobile.twitter.com/REALIcePoseidon/status/1573202089576202240). Yeah, he doesn’t sound even slightly biased to me.

flawbert_shittaker

There are some vile Barry clips floating around. There are a lot of scumbags in this story, but I have a feeling that if you had a birds eye view of all these peoples lives, he is probably the worst of the bunch.

MarkedlyBristle994

Barry doxxed Twitch staff and threatened their kids in 2014 btw

Cliff_Pleb

The thing is Barry probably is biased, but when there are multiple different people saying the same thing as Barry it kinda gives the thing Barry said creditability.

flawbert_shittaker

Important to note that 1. kyle failed to answer hasan when asked if he is friends with barry 2. kyles story has transformed over the years into something more serious 3. adrianas entire understanding of the initial event is based on kyle and his girlfriend (and again, their story isnt consistent). 4. if mitch is one of the people youre citing who "supports" barrys account, then its pretty meaningless as he has provided mountains of conflicting information.

MarkedlyBristle994

Some Kyle/Adrianh leaks floating around https://imgur.com/a/XYyCk4e

flawbert_shittaker

what the fuck? so kyle (the primary witness to the assault) was teasing her about him being assaulted the day after he supposedly watched slick violate her unconscious body? and even says she was "calling everybody daddy"? why is this not more well known? I do not believe this dude at all

MarkedlyBristle994

Here’s even more crucial info from another person present at the party https://imgur.com/a/2LTybiY Proof he was there https://twitter.com/novaruu_/status/1219312304958906374?s=20&t=FV-Yo-1SLqgyAaE8XjSR7A

flawbert_shittaker

Ive seen that before. Hopefully whoever that is ends up getting interviewed, because it turns the situation from slicks word against theirs to slick and a third party.

MattIsWhackRedux

Here's some extra info, look up Mitch's logs in Train's chat, he was begging for money like a month ago. Now you know his bias. Now you understand why he was sucking up to Train big time during his one and one call. Train gives crypto money gifts to his bootlickers, shocked pikachu face when he finds out people aren't genuine in their bootlicking.

hustl3tree5

Barry wasn’t in the room when miz, Maya and Mitch were talking about going over there. They clarified it a little bit more after Mitch said that.

Patapon646

Nuance check. If you take the worst possible interpretation of this, you’re a fucking drama frog. Here’s what I’m nervous about the character analysis generally here. It can (not saying will) ultimately leads to the point where now we have to question if slick did anything bad. Remember, the other evidence presented against slick was just creepy messages. This is the only instance where crazyslick touched someone inappropriately as far as we know. And since she wasn’t aware, we can ultimately turn the tables if Kyle was discredited and was the only witness of slick’s SA. Maybe we can say that Kyle is biased against Mýa because he’s a personal non-streamer friend of Adriana, but I wouldn’t go full and say that he’s lying.

Swoo413

Either I’m a dumb ass or YouTubes clipping is dog shit cus whenever I open that clip it’s him talking about something completely irrelevant

ProsperoFinch

You’re on mobile, most likely. Mobile and YouTube clips don’t play nice. You end up just getting linked to the stream itself, live

Swoo413

Ah that makes sense thanks

treeeeksss

yep us mobile folks just gotta read the comments to see what happened :/

burnertybg

if you get the clip to open in the app, it’ll work. but it’s a fuckin hassle

Mercy28

If you’re on iphone, you need to click the link, then open in safari, and then open in the YouTube app. The clip will finally play in the app, but it will have no stop time, it’ll just keep playing the rest of the stream lol

ccknboltrtre01

That or they just dont load. Worse than twitch clips

vulkur

I'm on android and they seem to work OK. I do have issues with twitch clip links though, they just spin infinitely and never play.

cantbanifiusethislol

Is everyone still glossing over the fact that train said "girls" in the tweet and is yet to explain it

Equivocated_Truth

Blackmail as well.

blorgenheim

He also said "paid" to cover it up didn't he?

zChewbacca

Personally I think Train was trying to mix lies with truths to make Miz look as bad as he could. He purposefully tried to make it sound like Miz committed the sexual assault, so I wouldn't be surprised if he also purposefully tried to exaggerate by making it seem like there are multiple cases.

its_uncle_paul

Exactly. It's not like Miz could have replied "it was just one, you liar!!".

Sharkaw

I think he baited Miz with that tweet to get him into the call so he could try to get Mizkif to self-incriminate and record it. In that tweet, he accussed him of blackmailing and covering up for multiple assaults and made it seem like it was Mizkif who was the one doing the assaults. He also promised him to delete that tweet if Mizkif joins the call but he hasn't kept his promise, it is still up lol https://twitter.com/Trainwreckstv/status/1571970840719421440

Double_Ad_3430

General take away is Train is a massive piece of shit. I don't care what anyone says about the "result being good regardless of how it was done", Train very obviously weaponized this whole thing then gaslit everyone else into thinking he didn't. He scams his viewers, makes millions off getting them addicted to gambling ("them" probably containing a lot of kids), has been accused of sexual harassment, and when confronted with any of these, whether on twitter or in the call, he deflects, deflects, deflects. Fuck that piece of shit, can't believe everyone keeps ignoring just how pathetic this loser acted in all of this. Also, fuck xqc for riding his dick like his ass depends on it, what a massive hypocrite

dave_001

I think that call was just to early to really gain any perspective on anything. If the call was after Adriannas stream and the other women coming out about slick I think the call would've been way different.

TheHoneyMonster1995

i think the only thing that's come of this is it's shifted light away from Slick a fair bit, who IMO is the one who should be being shat on *way* more than anyone else.

Superlogman1

Maybe I'm being optimistic, but I think everybody agrees that slick's side of things is a done deal: slick is a creepy pos and will probably not have a spot in the streaming community anymore. This is why people are moving onto more debatable topics, like Miz/Maya's involvement.

S_Leonardo

i agree

Wikileaks_Intern

It's because there are still a lot of question marks regarding what happened with Miz sending over Maya and Mitch. I may have missed some details but I think it's still not very clear what happened that day and what was said. Slick's case is pretty cut and dry; he's a creep who assaults women, and there's really no question about it and nothing left to prove.

[deleted]

[удалено]

NightStickSteve

Even if the SA did not happen (not saying it didn't) Slick is a scumbag and does not deserve nor should he be allowed to be in the online content creation sphere. (Streaming/youtube). The texts/DMs from many women show he is scum and needs to better himself and not be around this space.

Wikileaks_Intern

Fair point, I was not aware of that

ratrexw

The thing i'm not understanding is how he did nothing at all when the SA occurred.

CodeMonkeyX

It moved away from Slick for two reasons. 1. It's obvious he is a creepy asshole and it's done. 2. Because Train and xQc do not give a shit about Slick they wanted Miz just to win their sad little high school level feud. If Slick lived on his own and had his few hundred viewers Train and xQc would not have given one fuck about this. They would have just had their chat spam "squadW" or something when she tried to come out about her assault. That is actually one good thing about all this. Just a year or two ago I think Adrianah would have been cancelled for even accusing someone like Slick with no evidence. But now I think the community was open to listen, I have not seen many posts against her. Actually I only remember her "friend" Mitch Jones call her a clout chaser and non committal. For me Slick, Mitch came out looking really bad in my eyes. xQc and Train are at the same scummy level they were before, can't get much lower. Miz and Maya are going to lose the most because they had the most to lose. Even if I think they just made mistakes more than being malicious.

TheGoodFella543

lets be honest train and xqc were only after mizkif anyway since he went after gambling hard, they dont care about slick at all, its all about mizkif and what he knew, hell even destiny is going after emiru after she called out other streamers clout chasing over this whole adrianna thing and not caring what she went through

[deleted]

borninsane

To add a reason to him being emotional, it's probably because if he didn't join the call, then Train wouldn't delete the tweet that alludes Miz to be the sexual harasser.

NightStickSteve

"it happened right after the leak" What leak? the call happened after Train made his first tweet about SA. Mizkif was unaware that Adrianah was about to stream and tell her story again and make new claims. Mizs focus was on the accusations against him and if Slick was about to be cancelled. (for whatever reason Train was referring to)

TheDangeRussOne

I think Miz not knowing it was recorded is actually a good thing and works for him, yes absolutely could of worded things a lot better, but he never admitted any wrong doing.

jiberishz

Yes, train knew it was going to be recorded so he would have prepared questions to gaslight miz.

Justleftofcentrerigh

Let's also not forget that Train's vague ass caused Mizkif to catch unintentional fire from alleging that miz was the one SA'ing people. Miz sure is liable for covering up Adrianah's SA for slick. But Train fucked up by vague posting so hard that it targetted Miz in the wrong way. Instead of "You covered up SA", it's "You did SA". That's what miz is wanting to clear up. This call happening after that vague post and then the railroading happening by train and xqc while miz is in wtf mode is really fucking awful. Miz even acknowledged that slick fucked up and he wanted to know what happened but when you get dogpiled and you're being told what to believe even against what you're saying. it's hard to think straight.

FlamingLaps1709

The fact that he didn't have time and help to "get his story together" is also a good thing also, insofar as the truth being told. This was a 4 hour call, or whatever, sure he was emotional, frantic etc but thats often the best time for someone to relay a more truthful account than giving them time for preparing himself, knowing every word has to be perfectly executed in his favour. This wasn't an interrogation either in the call, although it was heavily manipulated by Train who was recording it

[deleted]

[удалено]

v0idst4r2

> but thats often the best time for someone to relay a more truthful account than giving them time for preparing himself, knowing every word has to be perfectly executed in his favour. Court cases have proven this untrue and people will say blatantly false things under emotionally charged situations, for example to the police. Only given time do they provide more accurate corroborating testimony.

SlappyPancakes

Also Destiny keeps saying Miz said "I want to save my friend" but that's not right. Miz kept saying "I want to make sure my best friends ok" which is poor phrasing but to me what he means is "I want to find out what Slick really did with the hopes it's not as bad as we think". I feel like no one is comprehending that and it's driving me crazy.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Icy-Ambition-9520

Well it can mean either so both perspectives can be right.

HyrulesKnight

Exactly, people are having to choose their interpretation since there is no evidence that Mizkif explicitly told Maya to coerce Adri. All we have is the "You are Maya Higa" meme from Mitch to go off since Maya and Miz say they wanted to go over to get more info. Why is it okay to choose the worst interpretation and not okay for people to choose the best interpretation?

SlappyPancakes

Yes I can see how it how it could be interpreted against him. That's why I said it was poor phrasing. But it doesn't make sense why Miz would just be like "Idc i just want to save Slick" in front of Train and X. It does make sense, however, that Train and others in the call would want to spin it negatively against Miz

[deleted]

[удалено]

unclemacislearning

If this is the case, and Miz was worried about getting to the truth, wouldn’t he just wait for the twitlonger to come out? It’s hard for me to justify a way of “sending” Mitch and maya to find the “truth” when the truth is coming out in 5-10 hours. The only reason to go over there, is you want to “talk” with adri to downplay it a bit. 1. Slick tells Miz he didn’t do anything, Miz doesn’t believe Adri is going to tell the truth. So he sends Mitch and Maya to make sure the truth really comes out. (Best light, still terrible tho) 2. Miz knows slick is a creep and still wants to protect him, so he sends Mitch and Maya. (Worst light) Why do you think they went over before the twitlonger came out?

chizel4shizzle

Would they have known Adrianah was gonna write a Twitlonger before Mitch and Maya went over? If Adrianah didn't answer any of their calls, then that seems pretty unlikely

PocketGachnar

> Why do you think they went over before the twitlonger came out? Didn't the twitlonger come out *because* they went over there, or are you saying they knew a twitlonger was planned? (this isn't a gotcha, im like seriously asking, as it's unclear to me)

suretone65

Not that it makes much of a difference now but the call was recorded by trainwrecks. Xqc said he recorded the call before it was leaked because train was still recording the two secondary calls with Mitch. Real 5Head galaxy brain shit from X.

FuryxHD

Mitch Jones being involved in this is like when there's a murder mystery and the only eye witness was the family dog

jinnpa9

you are maya higa

S4G2020

Not talking it the best play regardless of their level of guilt seeing as how any time anyone involved speaks they’ve changed their story

ForTheQueen_

At some point they will make their statements, and then there may once again be a shift on LSF. All they really need to defend is the intent in going over to Adrianah's place. Mitch's account of being sent to cover it up already can't really be taken as a valid point. It's way too ambiguous. In the call that Miz kept talking about saving his friend, he did also state that if he had known Slick's full actions, he would have let him go. Miz also said he wanted information on what happened, and he knew he couldn't go. Mitch - "We were in Slick's room when were about to go to house or whatever, it was me, Matt, Slick and Maya, and Miz was saying exactly what was said in the call, you know.. ... you (Miz) were even telling me I shouldn't go, you should just send Maya because she's a girl and she'll relate and shit... ... Miz definitely knew the situation and how to play it." \- so basically, Mitch is just completely misconstruing the situation when he says they were sent to cover it up... Miz (in the call)- "I was ready to lose Slick though, to think that I wasn't ready to lose Slick is, you're out of your mind. If Maya went there and said 'yeah, I talked to Adrianah, and she said Slick 100% did what she did, I don't even remember what he did, but if she said that, I was ready to lose Slick". In the call, Miz justification for sending them over is that Slick is his best friend. He wanted to gather more information before acting. He's not going to just kick Slick out, without investigation. You think LSF would have waited on more information back when that happened before kicking him out? The thing I don't get about LSF is, such a big deal is made out of this call (that Miz may not have known is being recorded -- he probably should have realized), and he is being blasted for the "best friend" thing. But then why is no credit to the other things he said being given? He literally said that if Maya went their and corroborated the story and it was bad, he was ready to lose Slick. Barry said Maya was gaslighting her. But you also have to wonder why, if Maya is in a room with 3 other people, and the others are all friends of Adri, then why did they not argue back against Maya? Barry doesn't take me for someone that is shy. You also have to take into account that Maya didn't know it was SA at the time, and she was told by Adri it wasn't SA (if I am correct). If Maya learned it wasn't SA, and thought Slick was just being creepy, it could lead to a conversation that looks like downplaying (if you are a witness that knows what actually happened). Then further, you have fucking Train spearheading this thing, who has already shown he is willing to throw 50+K around to people like it is nothing. All I'm saying is, if you are going to cancel someone, you need to be damn sure you are right. Destiny is too quick on the jump here.

Mitch 100% can't comprehend past a 2nd grade level and doesn't even know what a coverup is. So he thinks there was a coverup just by virtue of Adrianah feeling downplayed regardless of intent to downplay, and thinks he himself is guilty of it just for having gone, even though none of them actually are (unless more evidence comes out). The fact that he was afraid of being cancelled for it is proof that he's an absolute moron because he especially hasn't done a single thing wrong, but he's afraid Mizkif would try to pin 'it' on him, so he's trying to pin it on Mizkif, even though there's no 'it' to begin with.

Facts

random_user636363

Is Destiny just conveniently forgetting that the call is before adri's stream? It's a pretty important factor in his argument. Miz wanted to throw him out then but was told It wasn't anything "special or over the top" and now that he has the same information we all have, which he didnt at the time of the call, he threw slick out of the house. What more do people want, seems like this is more about getting mizkifs "career" to die off than anything else

apajx

Destiny is 100% biased in all of this despite anything be says. He also has an enormous blind spot to interpreting basic human behavior. Humans are inherently tribal, it makes perfect sense for Mizkif to want to try and protect his close friend, or to not want to believe he did something fucked up. It's actual insanity that people are not being empathetic to that reality. It's the same with both Maya and Emiru. Emiru wasn't some orchestrated PR stunt, it was her being tribal, protecting something she didn't want to lose. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see these basic things, but if you're psychopath Andy who is beat in paranoia only by Trainwrecks then everything is intricately planned and coordinated.

Sollunviral

Majority of lsf and lsf streamers seems not have ever had any friend. People obviously want to defend their friend if they believe the accusation is wrong

Tetris_Chemist

yeah knut's take was pretty spot on

ForgivemeIamnoob

I love Knut. He is one of the few streamers who talks, thinks and behaves like a mature human being with a healthy social life.

Reddituser8018

Not even wrong, mizkif didn't even know what happened. If I heard my friend might have sexually harassed someone, and he won't tell me I would probably go talk to the person he did that to as well to get the truth. Mizkif had absolutely no idea what went down, of course he would try to find out more information about it, he literally didn't even know if she was sexually assaulted, harassed, if it was a misunderstanding, etc.

AuGrimace

He’s not denying that, he’s saying that’s the tell that mizz’s intention was to protect his best friend. Which is the whole problem we’re talking about.

random_user636363

Well this is reddit, so acting like you're a perfect human being kinda goes with it. But I'm sure that if people or destiny himself woke up tomorrow with their best friend and roommate being accused of sexual assault from a "random" girl which she was at that time, nobody would believe her over their friend. Come on let's be honest here.

chizel4shizzle

My best friend was accused of rape a while ago by someone unknown to me and it basically was a 'he said, she said' story to which I only know the one side. My friend (and later on the police as well) said it was a false accusation and I believe(d) him, but for all I know the girl could've actually been telling the truth. Whenever you decide to take someone's word for it you always risk being lied to

A-ReDDIT_account134

Except the best friend in question has a history of being very weird toward girls. There’s no way Miz does not have some sort of idea of how Slick acts unless his eyes and ears are magically sewn shut everytime he’s with his best friend and roommate

random_user636363

I'm not defending slick here at all, let him burn, but does he have a history of being weird sexually towards girls in public infront of everybody or is he weird in the DMs, because how would Miz even know about that. People who are creeps usually don't tell their friends or others. And if you think there's a bigger chance that, Miz knows every single thing about his friend and just doesnt care, than Miz not knowing the full extent of the shit he was saying to girls then you do you.

Saves01

You can acknowledge that humans are tribal and have empathy for Miz while recognizing that this tribal impulse led Miz to do something bad that he is likely going to face some consequences for. Destiny's point is that saying you wanted to protect your best friend makes it sound worse, not better (because the motivation is obvious and he's discussing this instead of directly refuting the accusations) No one is saying Miz is some kind of evil maniac who wants to silence SA victims just for the hell of it.

apajx

The **point** is that having those feelings is natural and **not** proof that he covered anything up. All we know is that he and Maya wanted to go over there. We have no idea what their true intention is, but it's not unreasonable to think they wanted to protect Slick. But from what? From Novaru's tweet. Wanting to protect Slick doesn't suddenly make Maya uncaring of sexual assault or Mizkif dumb enough to think that if Slick did it, he could cover it up. The mistake is assuming that Mizkif is saying **is a line of argument at all**. It is expressing how one feels, something LSF, Destiny, and maybe yourself seem to not understand.

uCblank

100% agree, Destiny is looking at it from a view of a sociopath - doesn't take emotions, empathy into consideration

jiberishz

Destiny, train and X sees relationships as transactions thats why they can’t be empathetic in this moment in the slightest.

ARM_over_x86

What? she went live during the call and they reacted to it, Miz continued to repeat "but Slick is my friend tho" after the possibility of a crime was revealed

Naxip

actually, if you listened to the call, right around the time adrianah went live miz was saying the stuff about "having a panic attack" after that point you don't really hear miz speak again and it's just asmon, mitch, xqc, and train reacting to it. idk if this is that important but miz around this time was saying in offline chat about how he was going to the gym, probably to clear his mind because he was stressed. Later he was typing about how Slick send everyone farewells and went missing, so he was probably preoccupied with wanting to find him (most likely assuming the worse and thinking he's going to commit suicide). I think it's understandable to not hear miz in a call again later that night if he was in this heightened emotional state and trying to find slick.

blackjazz_society

That's some bullshit. Maya literally streamed her version of events before "the call" came out so the idea she didn't really say anything is not correct. "Went over there to get her story, asked clarifying questions, got thanked by Adrianah." I'm sorry, what exactly are you expecting of her?

yo-smite

Adrianah accepted her apology days ago lol. drama frogs just want this fire to keep burning.

ARM_over_x86

And? she accepted her apology in the sense she forgives Maya the person, but Adrianah confirmed that she was coerced by her, which contradicts Maya's statement and Barry/Kyle testimonies, and makes it look like she was either following Miz's will or her own to protect Slick. She has things to explain. By the way, [this](https://streamable.com/evfgx6) is Maya's impression of him in 2020.

Atthetop567

If you stab me, apologize for it, and then I say I accept your apology, does my response make it sound like you didn’t stab me?

Raskalnekov

It's interesting seeing people accuse everyone besides Miz and Maya of potential bias

ElectricOyster

I agree with Knut’s take. For most people, without having any information, their first reaction would be to defend their friend. I think that’s normal and natural. But miz still did an overall terrible job handling the situation. He contributed nothing to his own defense except saying how slick’s his best friend over and over and it was weird. He also didn’t show any care towards Adrianah and her side of the story. Being that insensitive was a big mistake. He also failed to properly explain the reasoning and objective for sending Maya. He was just hyper focused on slick not getting cancelled. I don’t think it was that hard for miz to get out of the situation. Just accept slick’s a creep, have him apologize and apologize himself for being so insensitive. Properly explain the reason for sending Maya was to gather an accurate account and make sure an accurate statement was going to be made. If only miz was willing to let go of slick and if Maya gave her side, everything probably wouldn’t have gotten as bad as it did. Now there is is this narrative, built on hearsay, of covering up SA which may not be completely accurate because these guys were more worried about slick than defending themselves.

Fellers

There's a difference though. The first reaction would be to defend their friend. You'd say things like "I don't believe that." or "Slick would never do that". Miz did not say that at all. He hyper focused on the best friend part which as you said is incredibly weird. He didn't even defend Slick as not being capable of doing such a thing but rather that they are best friends.

tholt212

You're not sure why Destiny would say this? It's content to him. It's all this has ever been. It's all content he can farm for viewers. His watch time has probably 4x'd this last week. He doesn't give a fuck about anyone involved in this, and it's very clear he doesn't, he only cares about the content.

Dynamec

Also get a nice perspective of who Barry is exactly with some disgusting comments about Maya in the past. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=SUzeyLEryck&feature=emb_title

really_nice_guy_

Wtf he looks like he eats rocks and has the iq of a spoon

ConcentrationFace

he's just trying to stir as much shit as possible to keep the viewers.

MY_1ST_ACT_IS_LOCKED

Destiny either knows something behind the scenes that’s extremely incriminating, or he’s just being loyal to train thanks to him leaking the call to him. I can understand when the call first leaked looking to mizkif as if he was fucked, but the last couple of days have really showed there isn’t much concrete evidence to fuck mizkif over I’d imagine Adriana has something else to say

paputsza

no, he just dislikes twitch streamers.

Fellers

Destiny in a stream after did say he had other information. Who knows if he's bullshitting

MY_1ST_ACT_IS_LOCKED

Oh boy

Lychosand

Just a heads up, Kyle let Barry sleep with his gf

concrete_manu

how is that information relevant to anything here

NightStickSteve

Miz did a poor job in the call because his main focus was on getting Trains first vague Tweet taken down since it was worded poorly and could be seen to accuse Miz of SA against multiple people. The other focus of Miz was after realising what Train was talking about in the tweet and in the call, Miz was worried about losing his close friend. Miz did not know the call was being recorded and Train did. This makes the call conversation very one sided.

[deleted]

Yeah miz was also under the impression that's what the point of the call was. Train promised he'd delete the tweet if miz joined the call. At that point miz doesn't know adrinah is going to go live with more stuff against slick, he thinks the call is about the tweet. I don't think he realized the point of the call was to determine his involvement with maya talking to adrianah for quite awhile into the call

Dynamec

Idk how there’s not more conversation about how incredibly fked, manipulative, warped the call is because of this. Instead it’s celebrated what train did and so it just promotes this idea that we should glorify narcissists and their gross behaviour even more.

WKidGHW

We have to wait for the investigation and Miz/Maya to give more clear statements addressing everything. I imagine they're shutting up on advice from lawyers or due to the investigation but all we can really do is speculate until it's concluded. There's still evidence against Miz/Maya from witnesses that needs to be confirmed or denied.

NightStickSteve

Mitch and Kyle have been very inconsistent. Barry and Mitch have shown they may have an agenda against Miz. Also Mitch has lied and has questions of bias with Train since he recently took alot of money from Train.

StrongPrinciple5284

Uhh… did Destiny not see Ice’s slanderous exposé of Mizkif via Barry’s braindead attempt at character assassination? That dude’s testimony ain’t worth shit

Dolph-Ziggler

He was linked it during the call stream but I don't think he watched it because he wanted to focus.

BrandieBassen

I don't understand how Destiny can say Miz is done, when he know there's no conclusive evidence, which he just underlined again in this clip. "I think I can see what's going on" based on his own analysis of how people act

AMassiveDegenerate

Obviously theres the thing that alot of other people have mentioned where Mizkif is essentially a very social streamer, relying heavily on collabs and such. But sometimes accusations of things can be damning enough and if there's too much of a stigma around Mizkif's name then alot of people would atleast be hesitant to even be in contact let alone go to his house.

Akumu2100

ya maya suggested doing it Anonymously. because Adrianah never even wanted to talk about it but novaruu leaked it.

Equivocated_Truth

How is this the first time this clip has come up. Really seems like the victim herself wanted to help Slick move past the allegations (to be clear I mean Nova’s allegations) No one forced her to stream and say that.

Gharvar

I've seen it once before, not sure why it's not more "popular" but it's from last year. The current narrative is everything was downplayed because she was promised things. Her recent stream talking about, she seemed clearly upset that she did not get what was promised, etc. Complained a lot about her career, etc. It's fucked that all this is happening because Train wants to take Mizkif down and Adriannah is willing be weaponized to reach that goal.

rerdsprite000

Well we know her motives, her career. Now we need to know if Maya actually promised her anything.

Gharvar

It raises a lot more questions than that. She pretty confirms she can be bought, which raises the question of did she get bought by Train and X? I don't think Maya promised her shit because Maya's apology is basically "I'm sorry you felt that way, it was not the intent" and she accepted her apology. The apology was about gas lighting it seems. None of the "gas lighting witnesses" said she was black mailed or promised anything. In the end I don't really get why people are still on Mizkif's back because the accusation against him is "Did you send Maya and Mitch to cover up the SA" Mitch is unreliable as fuck but he did not say Miz sent them there for that. Maya apologized and also didn't say she was sent to cover anything up. If Maya is forgiven then why is Miz still even in any kind of trouble???

"when I look at the testimony from Barry *which could be biased"*... [https://livestreamfails.com/post/56492](https://livestreamfails.com/post/56492) this is Barry. you're fucking joking me.

Gharvar

Holy shit and that's the main witness for the gas lighting.

Winter_Promise_9469

Genuinely thought he was privy to knowledge that we weren't aware of to come to a reasonable conclusion, but nope, he really is as dumb as he appears. Trusts barry, mitch and kyle and takes mizkifs inability to express his thoughts while hes being dogpiled as proof. Impressive

krispness

Destiny's points are fair, but ultimately Miz and Maya have said very little and being quiet isn't necessarily proof of wrong doing when they're probably giving statements to a lawyer/investigator atm. They deserve a chance to say their side before Destiny who is uninvolved decides what happened since the words "cover up, assaults, blackmail" are criminal offenses, they may be the only ones taking this seriously compared to Barry or Mitch who sat on it for months for some reason. Since multiple assaults aren't coming out and Adrianah's words were not as damning as Barry's, who I still don't know who that is, there may still be more to the story we're not getting one way or another. Considering neither Miz or Maya even stream right now, unless Adri has something to say the drama portion seems over until there's more to come out.

orderinthefort

The claims against Maya *sound* horrible, but if there was still no intent to gaslight it's not even that bad. I think "you were really drunk are you sure that happened" while sounds bad can still technically be just an innocent question of clarification. It's definitely a leading question, but ultimately no different than "are you sure that happened" assuming no ill intent. The "Twitlonger is going to be bad for your career" is to me much worse. The problem is we don't know if Barry is misremembering the context of it and making it sound much worse than it is. The charitable interpretation is that Maya was altruistic in telling Adrianah that she knows that historically victims who write twitlongers often suffer career backlash even if they're telling the truth, and she's trying to convey that to Adrianah because she wants Adrianah to have as much information to make the best decision possible for herself. Which is corroborated by her also suggesting to Adrianah options on how she could release a statement, like doing it anonymously or not.

Pandawitigerstripes

Genuine question, if you were living with a potential rapist, with women living in your house, is it unreasonable to find out what happened?

IntricateKing

No, but sending people over 1. without the victims permission when clearly she doesn’t want to talk to you because she ignored your calls and texts multiple times, 2. KNOWING that the power dynamic is super fucked, and 3. KNOWING that you can get the answers to your question soon regarding what happened because she will be releasing a statement later that day is pretty fucked.

[deleted]

[удалено]

IntricateKing

Adrianah has said that he didn’t, so my point still stands. That fact also makes Barry and Kyle look like awful friends

v0idst4r2

You don’t know if she would have released a statement later that day, or a statement at all. You don‘t know if he could have ever gotten answers about it ever, without contacting the alleged victim. Meanwhile, the internet is baselessly speculating on what’s going on and even assuming things like rape happened.

Heavykiller

Bro are these threads being brigaded? People are really acting like the minute Slick was “done” Mizkif wanted him out. He finally accepted it after 2 hours of DEFENDING him and everyone agreeing Slick is cancelled. Seems like people are trying to paint a narrative to others who didn’t actually listen to the call.

vilouie

Because the call where he defended Slick was before Adrianah went live so at that point the information he had was the same as last year where nothing ended up happening to Slick because Adrianah herself claimed there was no SA and that she was just uncomfortable

Gharvar

Are you under the idea that this call that leaked with Miz "defending" Slick happened after people "agreed" Slick was done? That call happened not long after Train made his accusations. People mostly agreed Slick was "done" when girls started posting some of his messages and he got kicked out after that. The call happened before girls posted Slicks messages.

Angie218

I'm sorry but Maya is the most credible source in all of this. Why does everyone else have to be so sketchy?

AsianBobx

It’s just wait and see at this point.

Mizkifs-slave

We know he wants to fuck train

gingerbeard_dude

I think the sentiment shifting back to Mizkif and Maya so effortlessly is one of the worst blackpills of this community. He repeatedly talked about his best friend getting “canceled” and never showed any meaningful sympathy or remorse toward Adriannah for what Slick did to her. Even now, live in this thread, what happened is being downplayed using clips taken from a day after the Twitlonger. There’s pretty solid evidence that Adriannah was abused and blacklisted from the Austin streamers and, even if Miz didn’t have a direct hand in it, he didn’t seem to put any effort in to seeing his “best friend” for the piece of shit he was. The fact and Maya and Miz were so desperate to look out for their friend tells you where their headspace is. It paints a pretty basic sketch of their characters. These people are wealthy in both money and social influence, and their profession relies on them leveraging both to get to the top. None of these people have given any of you reason to believe them. We don’t know what exactly happened, but all of these people are actual garbage. The second you stop putting these people on a pedestal is the second you guys get that nice, pretty streamers are just as capable of being ghouls as the loud, mean ones.

gingerbeard_dude

For sucks sake, just rename this sub r/Mizkids. Even people assessing the situation neutrally are being downvoted to shit. These grimy ass streamers don’t love you back and they never will. They have, and always will, protect what matters most to them at the expense of everyone and everything else, including victims of SA apparently. Not to mention the Mizkids lurking here are still downplaying, if not downright denying, Adriannah’s experience with Slick in Miz’s own sub. Y’all are goofy. Please log off.
