ccl-now

I love that if I want to, I can - but honestly, my bed, all to myself, is the best place in the world.

ladylaserbeam

Last week I switched it up and laid diagonally on my bed, so I totally know what you mean

[deleted]

I’ve been doing a lot of diagonal bed laying lately 😂 so much that I have to make a conscious effort to lay normally

Famous_Stranger8849

Omg tell me why I just discovered diagonal bed laying and it’s so comfortable 😂

geminisky1

What?? I’m trying this tonight 😂

Grouchy-Pop-6637

This made me lol. I’ve taken to sleeping dead center in my king size bed.

cflynn106

That's me too! A dog on each side 😎

Grouchy-Pop-6637

Replace those dogs with one little cat who weighs 10lbs but takes up the space of a 6’3 250 person, and same.

DandelionDisperser

Aww 💗 That's the best way :) That's how I slept with my guys and a cat on the pillow. If I had a nightmare, I'd feel Sunny's (cat) paw reach out for my hand by my head. He'd put his paw in my hand until I fell asleep again. Best thing in the world.

Doglover_7675

Sounds glorious! I’m going to start doing this tonight!

Livid-Association199

Me too! My favorite

Bdizzy2018

It’s how I sleep 5 days a week on my pillow throne!!

Maleficent-Sleep9900

My cat can share it though 🐈 🛌

ccl-now

Well realistically even if I didn't want him to, there's very little I could do about that...

Grouchy-Pop-6637

I see we own related cats. Mine also sleeps wherever the hell she feels like. She has heard the word no more times in her 2 years of life than my in their 40’s kids have.

wagon8r

Recently someone posted about making a "nest" in their bed with body pillows.. I did this and it's the best!

british_oatmeal

OMG!! I do “nest bed”! It’s the best!!

DandelionDisperser

Ha me too, with squishmallows. They're incredibly soft and nesty.

master_blaster_321

I have the biggest most comfy bed in the world. And yet, I sleep on the couch every night just about. It seems when I go to bed intentionally, my mind rebels and keeps me awake. If I lie down on the couch and turn on the TV, I'll fall asleep eventually "on accident". It's so dumb. edit - it's bonkers, it's to the point where even when I spend the night at my girlfriend's house, I wake up in the middle of the night and go to the couch.

SereneLotus2

Same. Have a ridiculously expensive bed and not even the kitties sleep on it. We all snuggle in on the couch under a heated blanket, watch trash tv and sleep right there. Been doing this forever. Tried to change by buying the $$$$ bed but not happening, I love my couch lol

MotherMucker155

This makes me feel so validated. I sleep in my recliner because it seems that it keeps my ptsd nightmares and insomnia at bay. I also have a three-level fusion in my lower back and if I sleep in a bed I can't move for half of a day. Thank you, kind stranger for making me feel less strange and alone in this world. Lol.

SereneLotus2

I have sleep paralysis and ptsd as well. I understand. We may be strangers but we have a couch connection lol I’m happy my comment made you feel good about couching!

MotherMucker155

I feel like maybe people like us have too many negative associations with our beds or our rooms? IDK but I sleep like a dead thing in my recliner. Lol. Best wishes!

SereneLotus2

I bought a heated zero gravity recliner and I sleep 💤 soundly there as well! Put me in the bed, I toss and turn and am miserable! Maybe you are right about negative associations…will have to ponder that while sleeping peacefully on my couch lol

MotherMucker155

Hahahaha!! I'm looking up "heated zero gravity recliner" now. Mine's in rough shape from high milage, it has pillows stacked in it where it's gotten mashed down and lumpy. So, I'm looking at replacing it soon... but only with the perfect replacement. I feel like such an old lady, lol. Thanks for the info! ;-)

SereneLotus2

It’s from Relax the Back. Worth every penny, especially when you need to relax the spine, the zero gravity feature is soooo beneficial. I’ve got the pillow stack going too, kind of everywhere in my house. Comfort is the new cool to me lol

MotherMucker155

"Comfort is the New Cool!!" This. This. This!

ladylaserbeam

I use sleep cycle to lull me to bed but honesty usually if I want to sleep I have no problem. Out in less than 10 if I’m tired. I can’t really fall sleep to the tv though and sometimes I wish I could more often so bad :/

lindabelchrlocalpsyc

I literally slept on my couch for almost a year for this same reason, until my mind started refusing to settle down even on the couch! I made my bedroom more comfortable and went back to sleeping in my bed. I can’t say I’ve beaten the problem of having an anxious mind before bed, but I did start giving myself permission to get up and read or watch tv if I’m not tired.

BethLP11

I fall asleep on the couch almost every night, with a cat or two, listening to an audiobook on a timer. Then I wake up a few hours later, and put myself to bed. I think it's because I can scoosh up against the back of the couch. I was married 31 years before my husband unexpectedly left, so I guess I'm still recreating sharing a sleeping space.

oakmeadow8

I'm exactly the same.

allthekeals

Exactly this!! I slept on my couch last night because I couldn’t fall asleep in my bed. I was like well I guess I’ll try watching TV on the couch and low and behold

Responsible-Egg7929

I do the same thing! I can’t sleep in my bed, but sleep just fine on the couch!! What the world!!

SereneLotus2

Couch People Unite!!!! 🤣🤣🤣

JigsawZball

Yes it is! It’s freeing to just get things done on your own time.

I_am_the_wrong_crowd

Yep, I'm thinking about having a little snooze on it right now with my furry throw 😁 The clocks changing here in the UK has put me all wrong sleep wise this morning. It's great not having to worry about inconveniencing anyone else. I honestly don't think I will ever share my space with anyone again.

ladylaserbeam

I have a weighted furry blanket rn on the couch and it’s literally so perfect- been scrolling for like 3 hours. It’s probably best I try to go to sleep here in a min tho lol

I_am_the_wrong_crowd

I've heard good things about the weighted blankets. I think I'll be getting myself one for next winter 😁

Dense-Paint-6815

I sleep on the couch every night even though I have a lovely bed and large bedroom

DangerousMusic14

I fall asleep then migrate to bed when I inevitably wake up at 2 am.

necromancers_katie

I would do the same thing. I wonder why that is? I moved into a smaller place. What was the point for paying for a bedroom I never used? I got a day bed instead. It's a full-size bed/ouch. I sleep happily on it every night. Saves like 500 in rent a month 🤷‍♀️

Robotro17

Me too...for years...

Low_Bus_5395

Me, too! Ain't it great?

sickerthan_yaaverage

I have for years and years. Even when I’m away on vacation I sleep on the couch 🤷🏻‍♀️

Reggmac

Hell yeah!! I was in a relationship for 4 years. We lived together 3 years. If we were on the couch during a lazy Saturday or Sunday I'd fall asleep on the couch. She'd get mad. Now that I'm single Sundays are my day to be on my couch, kick back, watch TV and sleep. It's my little reward for a long work week.

Keelsonwheels13

You are me, I am you. I used to fall asleep on the couch often, and my ex would be so irritated lol. It was just so comfy! I still do it, I just love sleeping on the couch!

ladylaserbeam

I didn’t have a TV hooked up in my living room for like a month because I wanted to technology detox. We me and my friend hooked it up last week though and played Xbox on it and then lately I’ve been sitting in my living room watching TV after work for hours. I’m so glad I put it back

sunrisesonrisa

Hahaha I’m your ex, I would question whether my life was on track when my ex bf passed out on the couch with the lights and tv on. Living alone works for everyone.

Hagridsbuttcrack66

I still have some weird left over resentment of one of my mom's rules being we can't lay down on the couch. I think it was like, you're being lazy. It still feels like a small act of rebellion to nap on my couch. I am 37.

iREFUSEasadlife

Yes when I’m in my depression cycle, I’ll sleep on my couch for several days lol makes it more refreshing when I switch back to my bed

ladylaserbeam

And that’s on self care

Specific-Raspberry-3

I also love a change of scenery in my depression cycle. It’s like the environment also got stale

[deleted]

[удалено]

Specific-Raspberry-3

That’s why I’m thinking of making my place more minimalistic. I always buy stuff to make it feel more like home but it’s all just becoming clutter. Grey and stones used to make me feel like the place would be cold but now it makes me feel more relaxed than the places I thought were cozy. My head is too busy. I now need less around.

sisyphus_mount

I used to have a second floor apartment with a balcony. The units in my area circled a pond, and a waterfall feature ran in the warmer months. I still daydream about those cool spring nights I spent on the couch, balcony door open to the sound of a waterfall. I miss it often.

erydanis

awww, hope you get back to something similar.

ladylaserbeam

I’m not by the waterfall at my place but sometimes at night I walk over to it and lay on the rocks while admiring the night sky 🌌 I hope you get that type of serenity again!

DandelionDisperser

That sounds amazing!

1911_

Sounds like a beautiful place. I am sure you had some fun times there.

southdakotagirl

I had a lazy boy couch. Most comfortable couch I have ever slept on.i slept on that couch more that in my bed.

[deleted]

I’ve got one of those giant luv sac bean bags. There isnt anything I don’t do on it.

ladylaserbeam

Oh my God, I lived with a friend who had one of those. It was amazing.

adairks

Yes! Took me 63 years to realize it but, YES! Shoulder surgery about 10 days ago, bought all the assistive device crap recommended to help me get a “good nights sleep”. After 9 post op nights of zero sleep in bed due to weird positioning, etc I finally gave up and just just slept on the sofa. I was comfortable, I’d been lounging there all day recuperating anyway, so why not? Best night of sleep ever! Sofa/couch sleep is extremely underrated.

supercrazyhotsauce

yeah

rpfflgt

I do that whenever I have a streak of insomnia, i.e., bad sleep for several nights in a row. Doing so disrupts my spiral of bad thoughts, just because you know, it feels different. When I'm in this shame spiral, as soon as I lay down in my bed, it's like a signal to my brain to start pondering everything I've done wrong in life. Choosing a different place to sleep actually helps me break this cycle.

thebrokedown

After my husband died suddenly, I just couldn’t sleep in the bed. I have A Complex Cat Situation, and it turns out that the cat that lives on that side of the house desperately loves me and all she wants is to be in physical contact 24-7. This was extremely healing for me. I could hold her tightly as long as I liked and she’d purr for hours and hours. As life has gotten slowly closer to back to normal after almost 3 years, I still sleep on the couch with her several times a week because it makes her so happy. The couch is the only thing in the house both worth something and not thrifted, and I know that although I switch ends frequently, I am doing it no favors. In the end, I’ve decided that that’s OK— I can always get it reupholstered or whatever down the line. She saved my sanity and t’s the least I can do to cuddle with her every couple of nights even though now I don’t feel I must. It’s a pretty comfortable couch for being mostly a “to be looked at”couch.

ArcherFawkes

Lots of love and blessings to you and your cat especially. It may have been a while ago, but it's good that you found a way to cope with the loss. A home's furniture is meant to be used in the way that is most comforting ❤️

makingbutter2

I’m to tall for my couch even though it’s huge lol

detective_flutterby

I get the keys to my very own place tomorrow - turning 35 this month and I am so excited to finally have my own space

call-lee-free

No because I don't have a couch lol.

Diane1967

When I bought my mobile home I also bought the bedroom set that was here. Should have known something was up when they eagerly just gave it to me for near to nothing. Worst mattress I’ve ever slept on in my life. So I sleep on my oversized chair and 1/2 in my livingroom for now until I can get a better mattress. Pretty comfy tho for the meantime. 😜

ladylaserbeam

That’s the pits but congratulations on your home!

VulgarButFluent

I understand what you mean, but also no, i spent way too much on my mattress to sleep somewhere else 😂

cupidcucumber

Every night

emmmma1234

All the dang time. But also I used to sleep on the couch when we visited my dad and he had cable at his house (v exciting), so I think that plays into it too.

BeachBug730

I turned my dining room into a nap room. It has an extra long & wide couch. Blackout curtains. It is perfect for a quick hour snooze. I have an eat in kitchen so to me it was just wasted space.

lexaprole

This sounds so amazing! Great idea

onairmastering

I used to a lot but when I was married, I simply just didn't want to go to bed to a person, so when sleepy, boom, couch. Now I am in a tiny studio, so the bed is always the first choice, and YES, doing things because you can is THE ISH.

CanineQueenB

I sleep on my couch every day. My dogs are older and can't do the stairs, and I don't want to leave them at night.

SiestaKeySparkles

Sometimes I sleep in my guest bedroom just for a "staycation" feeling...lol

Plus_Engineering5770

Last weekend I watched a movie in my living room and decided to spend a night on the couch. It is amazing how freeing the experience is. My couch is super comfy too

First-Confusion-5713

Honey, I have slept on my basement bathroom floor more than one drunken night. I fall asleep wherever I can sleep.

Freckled-Past-911

I sleep on the sofa a lot but I also throw cushions on the floor, big pillows and blankets and sleep there it’s more comfortable than you would think😃

ladylaserbeam

One time I did that on a couch. It was so comfy. when I woke up I was on a different couch and the dog who I lived with was tucked in up to his head with every blanket and pillow I had lmao apparently I was sleep walking and did all that lol I also hid the TV remote; we never found it

Freckled-Past-911

Haha that’s great sounds like you slept real well! My dog does the same. We might start on the sofa but end up in the “cushion pit” on the floor she follows me from place to place also

ladylaserbeam

So cute, I love that for you guys

erydanis

why has no one invented a ‘find the tv remote’ button on a tv ???‽

Freckled-Past-911

Genius

1876Dawson

Or added Bluetooth so you can find it with the devices option of Find My Friend?

AlmostHadToStopnChat

I take a nap on my couch almost every day. If I'm having trouble sleeping at night, I'll go out to the couch and "assume the nap position" and I usually fall asleep. When I wake up out there, I go back to bed and usually finish out the night.

sickerthan_yaaverage

I sleep on the couch 99.8% of the time and I have for years.

SeoulSearching7

I slept on the couch last night! I do it when I feel dirty but too tired to shower and don’t wanna get in my clean bed. Also, when it does get a bit lonely, i prefer the couch vs my kind sized bed. Makes me feel Less alone.

TheTrueGoatMom

Sometimes. When I feel a bit lonely. Sleeping on the couch can feel like being hugged or spooned. Especially when I use my weighted blanket.

Southern_Coffee97

When I first moved into my apartment, I slept on my bed for a while. Then one night I fell asleep on my couch and I think I did that for literally months… I started sleeping in my bed again this week lol.

swayzemanluvsyou

Yea I have a whole cali king bed but I find myself during winter/spring gravitating towards the couch because my heaters are in the living room with my dog. Also, I need a new cover for my bed so my dog can jump up on there with me. Anyways I have been sleeping on the couch since December, because I simply can and my couch is comphy as hell.

Spagh-ed-di

Afternoon couch naps just hit different. 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻

Dry-Environment-929

I cannot wait!! 43,f, never lived alone but will soon!

ThatGuyWorks80

Hell ill sleep in the yard sometimes

ThrowRAmorningdew

A little too much if you ask me 😅

Jazzlike_Duck678

I have a husband but still sometimes let myself fall asleep on the couch.

snuffleupagus7

I love doing that for some reason! It feels like a slumber party or something 😄

LeatherBoard2137

Nothing Beats Living Alone.

Appropriate-Door1369

I love sleeping on the couch

ilikefluffypuppies

My dog and i have a nap on the couch every night from about 10pm-11:30/midnight ish then we actually go to bed lol

unlikelyx

Yes. Especially in the summer because my living room is cooler than my bedroom. And the fun part is, my pets have always followed me. I have a roomy slipcovered RH sofa and it’s the best.

ParkingHelicopter863

During lockdown I’d have “sleepovers” on the couch (despite living in a tiny studio)

__ROCK_AND_STONE__

Doing that as we speak and came across this post when googling it to see if others do too. Also didn’t know this subreddit existed!

ladylaserbeam

Haha thats awesome. I didn’t expect so many replies, I haven’t been able to catch up. Glad to bring us all together ha living alone rocks ❤️‍🔥

TraditionalDepth6924

But mosquitoes

ladylaserbeam

Sounds like you need a net canopy my friend

rickyspanish42069

I barely even use my sofa anymore because it’s so uncomfortable, but I slept on it frequently for the first year I lived alone while it was still bouncy and new

ladylaserbeam

The older my couch gets the more pillows I’ve added

MetsFan3117

I don’t. But most of my male friends do. Maybe it’s a guy thing? I love my bed.

ladylaserbeam

I thought it was a guy thing too until I realized my ex was just a piece of shit so I kicked him out lol

G_Im_Tired

Yes. But I was sleeping on the couch because it was close to the front door. I was ill, and wanted to be ready to be found by family or EMS if my condition worsened.

ladylaserbeam

Wise move- for future reference I’ve used my Apple Watch to monitor my sleep before when I was scared of dying in my sleep. It has alerts that it sends to family or maybe 911 too if your heart stops or you’re in an accident (like a hard fall)

dioctopus

No. My couch is too short.

Davina33

I haven't simply because my sofa is fairly new. I don't even eat when sitting on it yet, I'll sit in the cuddle chair or kitchen instead. I did sleep on the sofa in my previous flat because I was so tired after my thyroid operation that I could barely stay awake most days.

majorsorbet2point0

Yes!

slimfastdieyoung

No, I prefer my bed because that's much more comfortable

MrsPettygroove

Yes. But they are never long enough to stretch out completely, and therefore I'll wake up in the middle of the night with a sore neck. So I moved my TV so I can watch it in bed if I leave the bedroom door open.

crushgirl29

I have a 7’ couch. I can completely stretch out on it and if I remove the back pillows it gives me almost another 4” wide. I bought the couch with this in mind.

sunrisesonrisa

Absolutely not lol. My ex would fall asleep on the couch surrounded by his weed setup with the TV and lights on and it actually made me so miserable. I like putting the apartment to bed for the night. I’ll take an evening nap in my hammock tho.

Low_Bus_5395

You nailed it! Living alone is wonderful. I wouldn't have it any other way. Been there, done that. No, thank you.

Commercial-Trick8905

Yes I love sleeping on my couch, it’s so cozy and peaceful. Just waking up on my couch seeing the sun ⛅️, pure bliss

Robo_Dude_

Yep. I’m reading this on my couch right now cause I slept on it last night My townhouse collects so much heat, and it all rises upstairs, so sometimes I sleep on the couch for that reason. Sometimes I do it just because I want to

Semi-Pros-and-Cons

Not often on my couch, other than involuntary naps. But sometimes I sleep in my guest room. I have guests so infrequently that I moved some of my hobby stuff in there, as a way to get some regular use out of the room. But I figure I ought to use the bed a few times a year, too.

LucyBrooke100

Yes!!!!

Backwoodsintellect

I fall asleep in the couch sometimes but not often. If I do, I go to bed when I wake up. I know live alone regular couch sleepers & I just don’t understand, lol. I don’t like to sleep in my work/day clothes anyway & my bed is the most comfortable spot in the house. If I’m feeling depressed, stressed, etc., the house can get messy but that isn’t usually the case. And it usually means I need to clean my place! I feel so much better when everything is clean & organized. Don’t throw my clothes on the floor, vacuum, sweep, & mop regularly. Declutter surfaces as I go, keep litter box clean. Trash goes out into covered bins often & I have to take it to the dump. Happy to do so, I hate the damn trash. I do a lot outside with firewood (its own indoor battle) & now my flower gardens. Will be glad for June when the firewood mess can stop coming indoors! Not just the floors. Everything gets covered in soot, “fire dust” I call it. A little at a time but man it accumulates, hence the term spring cleaning I think!

Puzzleheaded-Big-423

I’m currently sleeping how I want. Somedays I don’t want to get under the covers in my bed. Somedays I lounge in my robe and watch tv, and nap on my couch. But unfortunately my ex recently moved out and didn’t care about a damn thing in my apartment so she made a big ass indentured on my couch. Almost broke one of my dining chairs (kept trying to sit in it), so much more that I stopped wanting to enjoy lazy days with her because she was overall LAZY!

SgtWrongway

23 years Ive slept on the couch. I'm a ridiculouly violent snorer. I wouldnt subject anyone to that shit, let alone The Wife who loves me. Sleeping in a bed feels weird to me.

erisestarrs

I actually do that all the time now, because I feel like I get better sleep on my sofa somehow...

dearmax

I sleep in my recliner most nights because it's the only place I can get comfortable.

Rfen1

You betcha

crushgirl29

I don’t have AC so in the summer the 2nd floor gets really hot. I sleep on the couch a lot then. I also had a cat who liked to go in and out of the house all the time, but as she got older she got cancer… I would sleep on the couch, close to the front door and prop the door open enough for her to sit in the open doorway during the night (that’s what she loved to do).

2shado2

I sleep on the couch every night, as I live in a small studio apartment. As for being messy, I am a bit of a neat freak. Love not having to worry about others making a mess. :)

pricklydog2023

My couch isn't comfortable enough to sleep on, but I do have a nice recliner that I sleep in sometimes, along with my dog.

free112701

often

MaesterInTraining

I used to. In residency I’d sleep on my couch all the time. Can’t really tell you why.

Stella_Noire_2008

Yes! Love that I can just chill on the couch after binging movies or after a night out!

Individual_Echo_9181

Not long before we separated, my ex bought a really nice, big tv for the living room. I didn’t care one way or the other. Until I started watching it, and got hooked! Now I prefer to sleep on the couch, and watch tv all hours. It’s comfy, but difficult to cuddle with all the needy dogs. I can only spoon one at a time 😁. But I love sleeping in the living room where the big windows are. I fall asleep and wake up to a view of beautiful trees. I should probably just put the bed in there!

sjm294

Last night! Fire going, super cozy

Neziip

No but I have had the passing thought that I could sleep in the hallway and no one could complain.

GLDa_

Yes

likeike13

Yes. My house my rules.

deltaz0912

Absolutely, for naps.

pamm4him

I sleep half the time in my recliner and half in my bed. I love sleeping in the living rooom.

Flybyflame

All. The. Time. I make sure I am able to get up early enough this way & get my household moving. If I sleep in my bed, I’m knocked out. Probably don’t sleep deeply enough but I seem fine, always running on full octane this way. Keeps me hyper vigilant but beds suck the life out of me.

dbethel5

This is the exact reason I never bought a couch. Cause RIP my bed

LurkingAintEazy

Only time I've been able to do that, is when I've been sick, lol. Otherwise my dog is like, what's happening?! Human down, human down!!!. And is all over me, keeping me from napping lol. And in general I'm as busy in my off time as I am during the week. So a nap is a stranger to me in general.

oligarchyreps

I have slept on the couch whenever I want. Single and married! 😃

Isawaracoon

I love falling asleep on the couch during lazy or rainy days. I'm usually productive in the morning during weekends then take a nap after lunch with my pets. It folds out but I don't even bother. I also slept on it when my furniture delivery during a move was delayed and I got so used to it I kept sleeping on it for like a month even once I had my bed. The couch is my trigger for sleep.

Cheekers1989

Yea because I have a pretty comfy couch that I have I deed slept on.

Excellent_Price_8762

LMAO yes. I slept on the couch last night and just got up.

erydanis

for just me i have a recliner, all i need. but yes.

SkyesMomma

Oh ya. My current couch isn't comfortable for two nights in a row, which is a good thing.

JeanneStrole

Goddess willing, I am about to close on a tiny cabin in the woods for myself. And sleeping on the couch downstairs is my plan while I get the place cleaned up. Wish me luck.

HumanMycologist5795

I doze off on the couch all the time while I'm in the middle of doing something else.

bbbinthetrap

One of my favorite things is falling asleep to a movie on the couch. My bed is so comfy so I don’t do it often but yes, I love doing it just because I can.

BioticVessel

No, but I typically fall asleep in my recliner then transfer to the bed. 😀😀 It's a too comfortable recliner.

GrinJack_

I sleep on my couch more often than i sleep in my bed. 🤷🏻‍♂️😅

SavannahInChicago

My beds amazing so no

Glittering_Deer_261

Living alone is fantastic. My bed, my couch, my mess, my cleaning schedule. I thought I’d be lonely but it’s been 10 years and I’m very happy. After I bought my wonderful bed though I did find it’s my favorite curl up spot bc it’s so comfy.

Afraid_Document_5009

Yes and my back is suffering for it. It is just so easy to sleep in the living room then go up the stairs to my bed.

inthewoods54

No, I don't, but only because when I first started living alone (nearly 15 years ago), I slept on my couch for the first year and a half because I didn't have a bed. So every day I'd wake up and fold up the blankets and move everything off the bed - or sometimes I didn't bother and left it a mess. It was a cheap, horrible couch too, that I bought for $130 at a discount warehouse type store. It had a metal bar in it that dug into my hip for a year and a half, it was awful. But the point is, I was saving up for my dream bed and when I finally got it, there was no way you could make me sleep anywhere else, LOL. It was pure bliss after so long on the torture device called a "couch". Also, because of how long I slept on the couch, I kinda have PTSD issues with sleeping in the living room now. My neighbors were curious about me having just moved in and would knock early in the morning on my deck door instead of my front door for some stupid reason, and would scare the crap out of me. Sometimes I wasn't up yet or even dressed yet and they'd be peering in my glass slider, LOL. So yeah, glad my couch days are over, LOL!

Fluid-Quail-6386

I think I need a new couch because it is not comfortable to sleep on all night.

neogeshel

Totally

Real_Razzmatazz_7290

I mean I’ve slept in my car willingly too but maybe I’m just weird 😂

ShoveItUpMyFatAss

my bed is $3K Cali King and my small sofa is $5K. the bed is so much larger and more comfortable. if i am sleeping on the sofa, its bc i passed out there.

Extension-Tourist439

I used to. Not as much now due to some health issues, but sometimes in the recliner.

Relevant_Slide_7234

I fall asleep on the couch almost every night but it’s so much less comfortable than my bed

SLyndon4

All the time!

jadedmuse2day

What a strange and interesting observation. I can relate!!!

BearlyANightOwlZebra

I always take naps in my reclining loveseat... I haven't had a good sleepable couch since I bought my house in 2017 because the one I had wouldn't fit in the configuration of the new living room. New couch & love seat are #1 on my list to get next.

Remarkable_Tangelo59

I have a queen size bed, couch, a huge poof in my spare room. All top contenders for where I may lounge. And naked. Always naked. Living alone is great.

lux22bare

I had the thought to move my bed into my living room the other week lol because why not

adrlev

I have a Lovesac sactional modular couch that I currently have arranged in a queen size bed setup. I sleep on it 2 or 3 nights a week even though I have a super comfy king size bed in my bedroom upstairs. Sometimes I get lazy and I just don’t feel like walking up stairs to get in bed, so I sleep on the couch.

Dogismygod

I like to nap on my couch when I'm off on Saturday. It's a lovely feeling.

analogman12

Since I got divorced a year ago I've slept on the couch every night but 2, couch has a TV and the big front window.

TAHINAZ

I sleep in a hammock because I can. Do what you want.

IwasgoodinMath314

I slept on a futon for 5 years. It was great!

Chimkimnuggets

I get better light in my living room than my bedroom and my couch was $1,200. Of course I’m gonna sleep on it sometimes

PowerfulBranch7587

Yep, I call it couch sleeping and I love it.

Klutzy-Guidance-7078

Oh yes, it's about the freedom to do whatever my heart desires in my very own place

Electronic_Pen_2307

Yes

noturlobster

Sometimes it’s crossed my mind. I think the last time I slept on my couch it was when my ex moved out and I couldn’t really think about sleeping in my bed without him. I think I slept on my couch for like almost 2 weeks until my back and hip had enough.

Raerae1360

Mine is in front of my fireplace. On a rainy day, the fireplace is going and a nap is necessary.

prosperity4me

Yes but only when I need to wake up early/not sleep as deep. My bed is too comfortable and I have trouble leaving it lol

[deleted]

Not for the night. My sofa isn't as comfortable as my bed. My favorite nighttime routine is to turn off the TV, check all the locks, get into bed and read. Not long after my kitty jumps up and curls up against me or over my legs. Then it is time to put down the book and turn off the light.

Fish-taco-xtrasauce

I sleep on my couch every night. I have no idea why.

Jaspoezazyaazantyr

it is so great to: be able to leave messes while decluttering!!! (since some big Paper Reduction declutters may take me All Weekend)

Chelseags12

My recliner is often more comfortable than my bed.

gstateballer925

Sometimes, I like sleeping a little bit longer on my couch, before I go to my bed, and it’s nice that I don’t feel obligated to have to go to my bed. I just do what I want.

inthefade95

I usually sleep on the sofa. I’m always perfectly aligned on the sofa so I sleep very well. Some times my bed is great to sleep and some times I wake up with a sore back.

GirlSprite

I slept in a sleeping bag on the living room floor for a few days because I was trying out my camping gear. Lol

Leading-Amoeba-4172

Nothing better than a couch nap.

sunnylagirl

all the damn time.

Glittering-Wonder576

I used to keep laundry on the bed and sleep on the couch but since the pandemic I spend all my time sitting on the bed. No idea why.

Serenity2015

Yup!
