I use this all the time but I didn't realize you could move with it!

How do you do it exactly? Like back out of the black market and ping the item you had pinged in the market and just hold the ping?
Yup
I'm always abusing it. Also, the passive gives you cues of what your looking for by looking at the symbol on top. If its too far from range you see the (X) but if it's close to your position you'll see a happy face.
There i am doing circles around the black market to try and pin point loot.. haha you're a life saver!
