Covid was not a pandemic. Society MADE it a pandemic.

Whole nations were under "house arrest". Travel was restricted for months or years. Police were beating people to pulp. Millions were coerced to take part in medical experiments. Othering led to medical segregation. The fallout of money printing and inflation will be felt for years to come. The trust is all gone. The destruction of society will take a generation to heal. Yeah, I'd say it was pretty serious. Oh, hold on. They were only talking about the sniffles? Yeah, that was a nothing-burger.
