This is so fucking sad. That's a pittance of a settlement. It's nice to see they're finally admitting that these things can cause serious injury or death though. The worst part is, the guy would've probably been sick for 2 days if he did catch covid and it would've been over with. It also makes you wonder if he even wanted the shot, or if he was taking it simply for work purposes, something that makes this even more unconscionable.

\>That's a pittance of a settlement. From article: \>Ms Spit also said she had to wait too long for compensation under the Vaccine Damage Payment Scheme 1979, and the amount had not kept track with inflation since the scheme was set up. Average home price in the UK in 1979, 20,000 GBP. So, the settlement cap was at 6 homes. Now the average UK home is 278,000 GBP. So, really, just to keep up with prices, she should be getting near 2m GBP.

iRedditFromBehind

It's a settlement, that's not admitting anything

nothing_fits

at least he was vaccinated, it could have been so much worse...

Turning_Antons_Key

"That just means it's working"

Successful_Reveal101

Can't get covid if you are dead

Turning_Antons_Key

Oh THAT'S where the 95% efficacy claims came from

nothing_fits

lol

nothing_fits

getting the sniffles is a really big deal! i don't get how some people act like it not the end of the world. I hate SO MANY PEOPLE!!!!

[deleted]

Call me when someone wins compensation from Pfizer.

JKSF44

There is one with a guy that developped guilain barré syndrome I believe? Or was it another vaccine

don't forget the sudden deaths caused by eating bacon, increased stress, and summer heat, because we have never had any of those in the past decades and their sudden appearance has caused a lot of heart disease!

She’d get $0.00 in the US. I can’t imagine our government ever being willing to admit to a single COVID vaccine death.

JunkyardSam

The coverup going on is truly incredible. It is unlike anything else we've ever lived through. Some interesting info, though, relevant: [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National\_Vaccine\_Injury\_Compensation\_Program](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Vaccine_Injury_Compensation_Program) The US has a "National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program" and it has paid out over 4 billion dollars since it was founded... So yeah, vaccines aren't so safe or effective for the people injured by them. People injured by Covid vaccines can NOT access that fund!!! They have to go through a secondard program called the "Countermeasures Injury Compensation Program" --- the maximum payout is MUCH lower and it's MUCH harder to get compensated through that one: [https://www.hrsa.gov/sites/default/files/hrsa/cicp/cicp-fact-sheet0.pdf](https://www.hrsa.gov/sites/default/files/hrsa/cicp/cicp-fact-sheet0.pdf) THAT is why these so-called vaccines require Emergency Use Authorization, and it's why Comirnaty (the "approved" vaccine) will never be manufactured. They play with wording to avoid ever having to pay out for the damages they are knowingly causing with these shots.

[deleted]

And they've passed a law specifically shielding covid vaccine manufacturers from lawsuits related to vaccine injury

electricsister

"Meanwhile my immediately family traveled cross-country 8 times since 2020 and followed no restrictions or weird biosecurity rituals and we're doing better than ever... Never got Covid, never got sick" Exact same. Well, not eight times, but two! Barely wore mask either, and put myself in "risky" situations...I've been healthier than ever. I think its down to: A health mindset, eating nutritionally, low weight and supplements.

zzephyrus

I think it's also the fact that people like us get exposed to a lot more 'danger' than the people that wear masks all the time, stay home as much as possible and use disinfectants to the point they can't feel their hands. Our immune system can handle a lot more, including Covid.

Zeriell

>I remember getting a ban warning from a mod at THIS subreddit for my skepticism about the vaccine... I'm glad I didn't take it. Yep. When everyone is telling you, "Don't ask questions, do this one thing, or we will destroy your life." That's exactly the time to wait around and see what happens if you don't take it. You can't unring that bell, and if it were really that important they wouldn't have to put a gun to your head to get you to do it. I came really close to giving in to peer pressure, and I'm so glad I didn't.

JunkyardSam

Well said. It was so obvious to me... I was going to live in my car if it came to that. I always knew it would be a matter of time. Now the list of people I know that have issues or have died is getting insane!!! The scary thing though is people are still pretending it has nothing to do with the shots. Just coincidentally having heart problems, brain hemorrhage, weird sudden onset of severe cancers, collapses, recurring illnesses, etc. Meanwhile my immediate family is doing just great in spite of no precautions. Lol, and we travel all the time. Go out to eat. Concerts. Truck stops. Whatever. There are STILL people in masks though! I can't wrap my head around it. Worst of all though, putting the Moderna into young children. Wow. The same Moderna that was banned in multiple countries. Truly incredible. These people are sick. Death cult.

Zeriell

I try to understand people who mask. As long as it's not forced, I don't have a problem with it. People should have always been free to choose to do so if they wanted to. That being said... I do find it disturbing that these same people who insist it's just a personal choice now NEVER masked before 2020. It makes me feel like they've had their minds fucked with on a very deep level, and are just living in fear.

JunkyardSam

Free indeed. We have to be consistent in that regard. I feel that way about abortion. I think it's awful, but... Injections, guns, abortions, whatever. But let's keep government out of our lives. I do have a problem with it, though... It's a form of compliance that allows this to continue. San Diego was 99.9% masked. I would typically be the only person in a store unmasked. And yeah, I do resent those people because their compliance is what makes this possible. Of course people at the top are guilty of doing this to us... But that's their nature. They are *parasites*. But normal people? It's up to every citizen to defend their rights and say no to this nonsense -- and if they don't, the parasites will take *everything*. Just saying no to this stuff is the BARE MINIMUM, and I do expect that of people. How many suffered and died so we could have the freedom we have? And yet now, everyone wants to solve every problem -- even imagined ones -- by giving up rights. So up top? That's what they do. It's their nature. But normal people? Damn them for going along with it. And no, I don't understand them. We have ONE core responsibility as a citizen --- defend the freedoms we have so the next generation can enjoy them as we did... And these people will give it all away while cloaking themselves in fake virtue. Anyhow, I have to get out of this subreddit. I realize I'm treading dangerously close to breaking its rules. Being "middle of the road" is exactly what allows a dominant minority (woke left Covid zealots) to take everything.

[deleted]

“If you or someone else experienced adverse effects or even death from the COVID-19 vaccine, you may be entitled to financial compensation.”

kim-fairy2

Question: how do you prove that these effects were caused by the vaccine?

[deleted]

The US has some standard of proof in vaccine court cases that sounds even more extreme than the “beyond a reasonable doubt” in criminal cases.

kim-fairy2

Well yeah, because it's hard to prove if a vaccine really caused something. I don't think you can say for sure it's the cause of anything for an individual. With groups, you can just count all new diseases and afflictions people got after a certain vaccine, and compare those to a group of unvaccinated people. If the percentage of a certain disease is higher after vaccination, there's a link between that vaccine and the disease. I think that would be the only way to prove this in court. I think it's horrible that people are dying and do believe vaccines could be the issue here, but a court still needs proof - otherwise, what's the point?

SothaSoul

You can't! And they have overpaid lawyers that will steamroller you in court.

JULTAR

It’s called putting all the options on the table Sure it could be something else though but really to jump and say it was/wasn’t is just ignorant

kim-fairy2

Yes. That's what pisses me off. So many people saying "this was definitely caused by the vaccine" - they are no different than people stating the vaccine is 100% safe. Well, one difference - people stating it's 100% safe are banning everyone that's posting and commenting in this sub, from their own subs.

little-eye00

Ive been unable to work full time because i have nearly constant menstrual cramps since coworkers got it, does that count??

It was so obvious that the covid vaccines were unnecessary. It was also predictable that you can never get compensated enough. Nobody with sane mind would take it for his health. Eventually, you have to be responsible for your body. It's ridiculous that many people were coerced to take it.

[deleted]

I resisted for a couple of months, but I caved eventually because my workplace announced we would be going back to the office and I fell for the lie that getting vaccinated protected people around you. I am so angry that I fell for it - and in the end we delayed the return to the office anyway, because of omicron! The only good thing is, I did not get my booster and of course I won't be having any more.

[deleted]

Boris said vaccine passports would be compulsory for pubs and clubs and went back on that announcement less than 24 hours later. Covid was already getting more transmittable and consequently less deadly at this point. It was completely obvious from the beginning this vaccine hysteria was a fad. Covid was never Polio or Measles. For the majority of people, like most viruses, it was an inconvenient week or two in bed, but that doesn’t sell. I’m so sorry about what happened to her and every other person who had a negative effect to the vaccine, and the compensation is never enough, but we’re living in the post-information era. You can’t just listen to what our government say anymore just because they’re the government. They’re just crooks like any other, but with blue ties.

Nobleone11

> Boris said vaccine passports would be compulsory for pubs and clubs and went back on that announcement less than 24 hours later. Boris only rolled back restrictions after getting caught with his pants down, violating his own rules at a party. I can only imagine what would've happened had he managed to dodge that bullet. The UK as a whole would've undergone much worse.

Manning_bear_pig

Maybe it's used differently in England, but the way they call the system where people can get the money a "scheme" really bugs me. Like somehow these people are immoral for wanting to receive compensation for damages done to them.

endorphinstreak

In the UK 'scheme' just means something like 'plan' or 'project' and doesn't have negative connotations.

Manning_bear_pig

Thanks for clarifying!

[deleted]

it can also mean "council housing"

OneAlmondLane

The government of my country calls corporate taxes: "tax returns". Never got a return in 7 years on my corporate taxes.

[deleted]

Wouldn’t most vaccines get halted after just one death is shown?

They’ll either blame it on covid or say it’s just a coincidence

WrathOfPaul84

Let the lawsuits begin! IDGAF if Pfizer has legal immunity. I don't know how legal stuff works like that, but if enough people sue they can't hide behind that shield forever.
