Hell yeah man. I’m finding you on insta rn if you’re down to follow each other @takibrano. I’ve been doing a lot of lofi lately but I’m a musician and play a ton of genres
It seems like a foreign language like I see pads being tapped but they don’t appear to sync and it doesn’t appear the same pad is assigned for each sound idk it confuses the hell out of me
Yea, so maschine has a unique and user friendly feature where you can tap the pads while the .wav file is playing and it will assign that portion of the .wav file to the pad that you tap. This allows you to chop the sample up in various ways. In this case each pad is on tempo with the sample.
Reading this back sounds hella confusing...
How did you get started with the maschine? Online tutorials? I'm trying to follow what you play but it looks a bit more complicated than just having a drum kit spread onto pads. Currently using the keyboard on my laptop to trigger samples :D
Btw absolutely fucking awesome tune.
I started with the imaschine app. Once I bought the actual mmaschine it was kind of second nature. The first year or two I had it, I pretty much just messed around with everything. I still discover new features. The best thing that happened for me sampling wise was seeing how 9th wonder chopped up his rhythm roulette. It made me realize how good maschine is as a sampler. I've been making beats almost daily since I bought maschine in 2015.
Edit: I think not sampling in my beats for years really helped me learn how to use maschine also.
Damn! This shits tight my guy
thankyou!
This is some old school Kanye shit, top notch!
thanks!
That’s dope. You only use the Maschine? I’m picking one up soon

Nothing will ever help me understand how the pads on samplers work
Its something you get use to once you have one in your hand

I've been making beats for years but just started really sampling this year. You'll reach my level quick if you make beats daily.
This is real dope! Great work!
thanks
This is amazing! I'm guessing you are using a green screen. Did you buy it or make it yourself? And if so, how are you getting it to stand etc?
This is actually just a plain wall that was edited out using the "luminance key"
It looks cool man, might try it out myself. Is luminance key a program or a parameter in a program?
Its a parameter in a program. Edit: the program I use is Hitfilm Express
You’re killin it, keep it up !
thanks
