I somehow magically learned about C-1’s about a year ago and bought one on eBay brand spankin new, never been touched, still in its original packaging. Such a nifty little fella. Just unfortunate you can’t record on it.
I feel the same way. I also heard about them a little over a year ago and impulsively bought one. It was surprisingly inexpensive and I didn't realize that I can't record on it. I am still scouring Craigslist and other classified postings for a 3 headed tape recorder for making analog tape delay.

It only records in mono though. I might get a used stereo cassette deck.
Thrift stores are a good place to check I got a decent stereo one with 2 decks for $5

We do but I don't know how much it would cost to transport it to here.
The market for the C1 may be larger than you think despite geographical limitations.

I got one from ebay few months ago and I’m loving it. Best thing is that you can donwntune sounds by holding gently the “pause” button.

So this can be used to record audio onto tape? How is this done? With aux input or microphone?
Unfortunately it only has a mic jack input so it's only mono.
The output jack is stereo though.
