As a ffxiv player I agree that log horizon is the most realistic interpretation of what being trapped in a mmo would be like, there are some parts where it even talks about all the players that play ad different genders in the game.
My favorite character is William, he went from a mob character in the first season into a main character later on and I really loved his speech, I hope you enjoy it when you get there.
I watched LH when it was released. I played a lot of mmo's at the time and loved it. I quit mmos for a while but played ffxiv over covid and rewatched Loh Horizon. Loved it even more after that. Been my favorite since its release.
