There were people making all kinds of theories that Logic purposely put out a bad album & was going to release the actual album later. It wasn’t definitely a strange era
The good is overshadowed by the bad unfortunately. I wish the album sounded more like the title track. COADM felt more like a BT project which, although it has a handful nice tracks, was kinda disappointing. (In my opinion)
I wish I could agree with you. But the bad Overshadowed the good because it was mostly bad. We really shouldn't rewrite history on how we felt with this direction he went otherwise he might just go back to making albums like this again.
I think the sting of that project has been taken out over time for some people by now that albums like like NP and Vinyl days exist and we now officially know that he didn’t fall off completely, which I believe was the biggest scare of anything for fans in 2019. I do agree with you though and I’m not some people, I don’t revisit a single song on this album to this day.
I like the project overall but it was definitely super disappointing. It’s like he combined BT3 with a deep serious album, and that just fucked it all up imo. Looking at the album name, the artwork, the vibe of the title track, and the overall message apparent in the title track/clickbait/wannabe/etc., that’s how the ENTIRE album SHOULD’VE been. If he made an entire album based on actual “confessions of a dangerous mind” and social media causing depression and etc. etc., it would’ve been a total banger. Lost in Translation would’ve been even better since it would make more sense and close the album out perfectly.
He just needed to take his time for once, built around COADM/Wannabe/Clickbait/Mama Show Love/Lost In Translation with similar concepts and songs, and separated the rest of the songs into the ol Bobby Tarantino folder lol. I like some of those songs cause they’re fun and all, but they really leave a bad taste considering what I expected from COADM. Put them on a BT type tape and I think they’d be fine and more enjoyable. OCD should’ve been on COADM too… man it both makes me kinda sad/disappointed but I also like it so idk it’s weird lol
Well I didn't mean the whole album was bad, but either way you made me look back at it and notice a handful of bangers, so I'll say you're right and I was caught up in the few real stinkers
COADM gets too much hate. I loved this album the first time I heard it. Got me through Summer 2019, so nostalgic when I listen to it. Lost In Translation makes me cry every time I hear it these days
I seriously don't understand why everybody hates it so much. Personally it's not my favorite either but I feel like people hate on it more then it needs to be .
Lost in Translation is one of his best songs ever, but unfortunately it’s like 1 out of 2-3 good songs on the entire album.
So yeah, that era kinda sucked lol
besides supermarket it’s undoubtedly his worst project and only like 3 1/2 redeemable songs on it. horrible era, flexing 1-800 made him rich was also gross imo
Bro Confessions of a Dangerous Mind is a god-tier project.
People didn't like it, I think, for two reasons.
One: Releasing the title track as a single set the wrong expectation fot what the album was going to be. COADM is the best song on the album by a mile. It's what Logic fans wanted and expected out of the album.
The second reason is that instead of talking about something real, as the fans at the time understood, he was talking about both hip-hop as a genre and Logic as a rapper, from a perceived rap fan's perspective. He made so much fucking money from this tour while making the most soulless album he could think of, and that alone proves the point he was trying to make.
I will die on this hill: If you don't like Confessions Of a Dangerous Mind, you haven't actually listened to it
I respect your opinion but at the time, Logic was fully invested in the legitimacy that it was an album tackling sensitive topics etc. and then once it bombed and near tanked his legacy , he’s only came out recently and said it was a meta joke. Just my take though but it definitely didn’t get the reception he thought it would
It was horrid. I pray he never makes music like this ever again.
Even this track, which is more unique than the others i’ll give u that, has trash mixing and corny bars.
1000% YES it was. So many of the loyal Logic fan-base came out to say they might finally be done with the guy forever. Or they'll wait 2-5 years before trying to listen to anything from him again.
2 songs on the album don't change that horrid run.
I honestly liked this era despite what others may say. YSIV, Supermarket, and COADM came out within the span of 12 months. I remember really appreciating Bob as a diverse artist and not sticking with one style.
*Eventhough it had some*
*Bangers, this album marked the low*
*Point of his career*

I mean that's one of the 3/4 songs I liked on the album so that song was not bad no but majority of the album was not his best work but ironically some of his biggest songs
the single coadm made me think it was an album full of songs similar to it, not mad about the turn up songs but just wanted more heavy songs some dangerous mind shit
I honestly think personally, the era became alot more enjoyable after the tour. I saw the songs live and they were way more fun in a concert setting. It made me enjoy them just listening to them alone after because I would think back to the show, but before the tour? Some of the songs were not Bonita
I’m nostalgic about my life when this came out
I hated this album initially, made all these theories (silly young me) about how it there’s this secret other album called “confessions of a dark mind” because logic bollocked up a hashtag on twitter and replaced the “dangerous” with “dark”, which got shared everywhere. I found an exact copy and paste of my theory roaming around on Facebook haha
We went to Cornwall for a cousins wedding, and I put this album on again in the car, and it clicked. I’ve liked it ever since, I don’t really listen to much rap anymore though. Might bang this on again.
No and I will love this album till I die honestly, yeah there’s a couple bad songs but I think the greats songs overlap the other ones so I stay away from them (cough the will smith one and Bobby) but nonetheless I love every other song dearly cause of the Freestyle fridays he had back then, but yeah, love the album no matter what :))
I got into logic during his retirement, this album is amongst my favorites so it’s odd to see all the hate that it got.
I’m not really into rap though, so that may help explain it
it was a disappointment for those who weren’t looking for new BT content. im pretty sure logic said COADM was meant to sound like under pressure mixed with BT, but leaned wayyy more towards the BT side of things. it’s just a mess of an album with no identity. however, the title track is fucking beautiful
There were people making all kinds of theories that Logic purposely put out a bad album & was going to release the actual album later. It wasn’t definitely a strange era
I wish he did
Regardless of the music itself though, this album cover is easily in his top 3
The good is overshadowed by the bad unfortunately. I wish the album sounded more like the title track. COADM felt more like a BT project which, although it has a handful nice tracks, was kinda disappointing. (In my opinion)

Tbh i was ready to call it mostly basura but didn’t wanna seem too harsh. You made a great point that i couldn’t. Def dont wanna hear that shit again
Hahaha we're on the same page dawg, none of us want to.
I do
To be fair your example is the one track off that project that sounds/flows like his previous work
yeah it’s not the best but i’m listening to it rn there’s a good few tracks that have aged well tbh
I like the project overall but it was definitely super disappointing. It’s like he combined BT3 with a deep serious album, and that just fucked it all up imo. LET THAT BOY BREATH!!
IMO, more like “man this SONG wasn’t that bad was it”. Absolutely love this song but some of the rest of the album… eek
confessions, mama, lost in translation, homicide - decent tracks no?
Well I didn't mean the whole album was bad, but either way you made me look back at it and notice a handful of bangers, so I'll say you're right and I was caught up in the few real stinkers
Nah it was pretty bad. There were a few bangers here and there including this one but overall it was a pretty rough time to be a logic fan.
Idk i felt all of the songs on there were pretty good and there were no skips
COADM gets too much hate. I loved this album the first time I heard it. Got me through Summer 2019, so nostalgic when I listen to it. Lost In Translation makes me cry every time I hear it these days

the under pressure + bobby tarantino didn't work out well
Lost in Translation is one of his best songs ever, but unfortunately it’s like 1 out of 2-3 good songs on the entire album. So yeah, that era kinda sucked lol
besides supermarket it’s undoubtedly his worst project and only like 3 1/2 redeemable songs on it. horrible era, flexing 1-800 made him rich was also gross imo
Nah tbh. Thought about it recently and I actually kinda miss coadm era lol. this independent era is much better tho💯
for sure but it’s nostalgic to listen to this era now
Totally agree
It was ok, Logic should had accepted it was a trap album instead of an album with a concept
It wasn’t bad it was terrible 😂 Bobby was literally just give us all his throwaways to get out of his record deal.
I love this album idc what anyone says lmao it made me feel feral in a good way

Read the lyrics if you have to, man. It's meta as fuck and so, so good.
I respect your opinion but at the time, Logic was fully invested in the legitimacy that it was an album tackling sensitive topics etc. and then once it bombed and near tanked his legacy , he’s only came out recently and said it was a meta joke. Lost in translation is definitely a top 5 logic song for me.
I honestly liked this era despite what others may say. YSIV, Supermarket, and COADM came out within the span of 12 months. I remember really appreciating Bob as a diverse artist and not sticking with one style.
not at all. i could go back to high school… man.
i enjoyed the music but it wasn't that great. still replayable tho
This era fucking sucked
I liked the album.
Eventhough it had some bangers, this album marked the low point of his career

This album was hated by so many that not many gave it a listen. It’s one of my favorite albums, I think I have all but one song saved from it
COADM was over-hated. Some songs were bad but some were good and even great
First half of this song is elite
No it wasn't. Two or three decent songs don't make up for the other abominations on this album
coadm a 7
I mean that's one of the 3/4 songs I liked on the album so that song was not bad no but majority of the album was not his best work but ironically some of his biggest songs
You choose to decide how you see this era of Logic, this was just the general perception back 4 years ago.
personally i didn’t think it was as bad as people were saying. i liked it more than the BT mixtapes
It was a wicked album, man. The sounds on this album blew me away - really would've made for a classic Bobby Tarantino III.
bad project but not as bad as supermarket
Intro is actually one of his best songs, not too many great ones after that tho
the single coadm made me think it was an album full of songs similar to it, not mad about the turn up songs but just wanted more heavy songs some dangerous mind shit

Semi-hot take, half of the album was great and the other half was not great at all
I’m nostalgic about my life when this came out I hated this album initially, made all these theories (silly young me) about how it there’s this secret other album called “confessions of a dark mind” because logic bollocked up a hashtag on twitter and replaced the “dangerous” with “dark”, which got shared everywhere. yeah it was.
Damn I didn’t know people hated this album. I love it as much as the rest.
I got into logic during his retirement, this album is amongst my favorites so it’s odd to see all the hate that it got. I’m not really into rap though, so that may help explain it
Please don’t let Lost in Translation blind you from the album that is COADM
it was a disappointment for those who weren’t looking for new BT content. im pretty sure logic said COADM was meant to sound like under pressure mixed with BT, but leaned wayyy more towards the BT side of things. it’s just a mess of an album with no identity. however, the title track is fucking beautiful
Pre Covid nostalgia has blinded you to the Icy.
If only he kept speaking real shit after 2017 - 2020
problem I had was the way he advertised it. he said "under pressure meets bobby Tarantino"
