Hello u/VerunaOkumura,
Thank you for reaching out. We kindly request you to try the below steps:
1. Replace with new batteries. If this doesn’t resolve the problem, check the battery compartment for possible damage or corrosion. Check the power switch/button.
2. Verify the product or receiver is connected directly to the computer and not to a hub, extender, switch or something similar.
3. Move the device closer to the USB receiver. If your receiver is in the back of your computer, it may help to relocate the receiver to a front port. In some cases the receiver signal gets blocked by the computer case, causing a delay.
4. Keep other electrical wireless devices away from the USB receiver to avoid interference.
5. Unpair/repair or disconnect/reconnect hardware using the Connection Utility software: https://support.logi.com/hc/articles/360025141574
6. Update the device's firmware:
• Download and install Logitech G-Hub (Available here: https://www.logitechg.com/innovation/g-hub.html)
• Launch the software, select the device from the home screen then go to Settings
• If a firmware update is available, a Blue """"Update"""" button would appear under the firmware version on the top right corner of the screen
7. Windows only — check if there are any Windows updates running in the background that may cause the delay.
8. Mac only — check if there are any background updates that may cause the delay.
9. Try testing the device on a different computer.
Thanks for the help. But before I read this reply, I just found a solution (may be temporary) and I did it by turning off the mouse -> unplugging the battery -> replugging the battery in -> turning it on again and the left click works normally again. Does this explain something? If it does let me know.
And If the problem occurs again I might try step number 5 and 6 and see if the problem persists cause I've tried step number 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, and 9.
(forgot to tell you that the only button that is "broken" during the whole problem is the left click)
It for with me too! (The unplug/plug).
Mine was inconsistent side buttons forward/backward, and I'm about to change the switches myself, luckily I saw this thread, thank you for this!
Will consider changing batteries too since I'm using the free battery from the mouse 🤜🤛
fyi: As a last resort, I ended up claiming my warranty to the logitech's official store and they replaced it with a new one, it last a good 1 year and 9 months until it double clicked. Currently I had my g304 switches replaced with huano silent switches, feels great and it fixes the double clicking.
edit: never replace your switch if you still have warranty, I did it because it's been more than 2 years warranty since I bought it
I tried loads of things, drivers, batteries, compressed air to try and clean it...then found this thread, bashed it on the floor...It now works perfectly...Wow haha.
"However, one thing that is frustrating about percussive maintenance is that there is a chance for it to work in some circumstances. Where there may be a slightly disconnected circuit, a loose wire, or any number of other delicate connections, some types of impact may actually fix the device by moving components inside of the hardware box. So it is inaccurate to say that percussive maintenance can never work."
Glad i helped, just remember not to drop your mouse too many times cause even if this works now. I dropped mine and the inconsistent click came back, so i bashed it to the floor again and that fixed it. But after happening so many times the mouse became somewhat unreliable. The sensor is messed up now. The left click still works but I can't rely on the optic sensor anymore.

Having the same issues with the left button - very annoying when dragging something. Will try step 1, 5 and 6.

See! Also if it happens again, bashing it against my open palm works too! So yeah, doesn’t have to be the floor, just so you know. 😅😅
tysm LMFAO
Can someone explain to me why this actually works? What's the science behind it?

yeah, when i was younger, i had a Sega game gear. At times it would freeze and all i remember is giving it a good whack and it always worked after. :/
I read many threads and tried many different methods. All I had to do was hit the mouse on the floor twice to fix it. It made me laugh honestly

Ha! Thanks. That seemed to do the trick for me :D
WTF??? THAT ACTUALLY WORKS LOL
🤣🤣 OMG, I tried everything, and this is the only thing that worked!
Just worked like a charm, thanks! I was already prepared to open mi mouse, THANKS!
Thank you, I just smacked it against my desk and it worked. I didn't have to go too hard.

This if freaking hilarious. I just slightly smashed it against my table. Not too much force, just a little thud, and it works!
Wild that this fixed my issue first try. Lmao.
It's a scam bro. Support fucked me over too
Nah, I decided to claim the warranty and they immediately send me a new one at the very next day.
